Chapter 2 Living arrangement/ Pink madness (edit)
Soul Chain trotted in the direction that the Mayor Mare told him. He saw the gingerbread that house was sugarcube corner and couldn't believed it. “Who in the right mind would build something like this?” He thought as he passed by it.
He arrived at the decrepit house.
As he entered, the first thing he noticed was the smell. Oh horesapple, what died in here!? I wouldn’t be surprised if the former blacksmith died from just living in this house. He thought as he shook his head violently in an attempt to get the smell out of his nose.
He went through the house and opened every window to try and ventilate it. As he went through, he looked at the damage to try and figure out what would need to be done.
“Some of the ceiling tiles must be changed, the basement is moldy and needs to have some water pumped out, and some floorboards are broken. Not as bad as I thought!” he said, pleased.
As he finished looking the house over, somepony started knocking at the door repeatedly, sounding just like a woodpecker . As Soul Chain opened the door, there was a bright pink pony with an abnormal huge smile.
"HimynameisPinkePiebutyoucancallmePinkieyoumustbethenewponybecauseIknoweveryponyinPonyvileandIdon'tknowyouwouldyouliketobemyfriend?" The pink pony blurted out.Soul Chain just stared blankly at the pink mare, trying to comprehend what just happened.
“Wwhhaat? Do you think you could repeat that a bit slower?”
“Oh silly me, my name is Pinkie Pie and I'm here to befriend with you because I'm friend with everypony!”
“And just how did you know I was here?”
“That can be answered with a flashback!” She said as she waved her hooves in front of her face, triggering said flashback.
Earlier in the library:
The girls were all sleeping in their bags. Suddenly Pinkie’s ears flopped and a shiver rattled through her spine as she jumped out of her bag and screamed “A NEW PONY IN PONYVILLE!!!”
“PINKIE PIE what the hay?” Rainbow dash asked.
“Yea , ah thought we were gonna sleep in!” Applejack said as she rubbed her eyes.
“Girls what is this commotion about, when I don´t get my beauty sleep my eyes get puffy.” Rarity said as she got out of her bag.
Fluttershy simply stayed still, unsure what to do.
“Well my Pinkie Sense tells me that there’s a new pony in Ponyville and you know what that means!”
Everyone simply mumbled “A party.”
“Well, yes. But we also get a new friend and nopony can have enough friends!”
“Umm... Where is Twilight?” Fluttershy whispered in a barely audible tone.
“ Twilight’s at a meeting with the Mayor.” Rainbow Dash answered.
“Well I gotta go!” Pinkie said as she vanished in a pink blur.
Pinkie ran all through the town, asking everyone if they had seen a new pony. All they could do was shake their heads as Pinkie went on to her next stop.
She eventually burst into the town hall and saw Twilight, Mayor Mare, Time Tuner (who looked very distressed), Dr. Stable, Nurse Redheart and Colgate.
Mayor Mare looked at Pinkie and said, “Good morning Pinkie. What are you doing here, you weren’t invited to the meeting.”
“Did somepony see a new pony in Ponyville and currently know where they are ?”
Time Tuner flinched as Twilight answered, “Yes Pinkie, we did see a new pony.” Pinkie jumped at Twilight and looked her straight in the eyes . Pinkie’s eyes bulged with every word as she asked , “WHERE! IS! HE!?”
“H- He’s in the house where Metal Hammer lived.”
As soon as Twilight finished, Pinkie vanished, leaving behind a cloud of dust .
She was already at Soul Chain’s front door, knocking with her head like a woodpecker.
“Well I guess I know the rest, so let me introduce myself. My name is Soul Chain.” he said as he offered a hoof for a shake.
“Hiya Soul Chain nice to meet ya! Here’s your invitation! Be on time!” she said and then waved a goodbye.
What the hay just happened! Soul Chain thought as he saw Pinkie Pie bounce away. He looked at the invitation. “Invitation to a Pinkie Pie welcome party just for you, be at Sugarcube Corner at 3pm!”
Soul Chain looked at the clock. “Hmmm. I have about two hours the party. Since I have some time, I should probably wipe the floor down.” He said to himself.
After some hard work cleaning up his house, it was time to go to Pinkie’s party. As Soul Chain walked toward Sugarcube Corner, the street seemed empty and silent. Be ready for anything. He thought. At the front door of Sugarcube Corner could heard murmurs.
He opened the door and was greeted by a bunch of ponies shouting "SURPRISE!"
Once he was inside Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie appeared out of nowhere. “Did you like it?! Did you?! Did you?! Did you?!”
“This is impressive. How many ponies are here?”
“Everypony!” She yelled. “Who could make it.” She quietly added.
“It’s pretty nice with all the food, music and punch. But I do want to ask you one thing. In your flashback, you said something about a ‘Pinkie Sense.’ What is-”
“It´s best not to ask, believe me.” Twilight intervened. “I tried to understand it once, but let's just say it’s Pinkie being Pinkie.”
Four more mares walked up.
“Hi girls! Let me introduce you to Soul Chain. Soul Chain, let me introduce you to Applejack,”
“Howdy partner.” Applejack said with a warm smile.
“Rainbow Dash,”
“The fastest flyer in Equestria.” She said while she struck a pose.
“Rarity,”
“Charmed.” The white unicorn said.
“Fluttershy,”
“Hhheeello.”
“and Twilight, but you know her already,” Pinkie finally finished.
“Hello girls. It’s nice to meet you all.” Soul Chain said.
Applejack offered him a hoof shake. Soul Chain accepted the gesture and surprised at how strong she was.
“Well Sugarcube, it’s nice to meet you. What are you doing here in Ponyville?”
“It is a long story. It all begin in a small town, like this, when I decided to travel around the world. I’ve been to Ponyland, Zebrafrica, Dragonlands, the Griffon Empire and Badlands, and I learned many things during my travel. But I eventually decided to settle down, so here I am.”
“Oh darling, YOU MUST tell me all about Ponyland. I heard they're miles ahead in fashion.”
Fluttershy spoke up just enough to be heard. “And all the critters. You must have seen a lot of exotic animals.”
“Unfortunately Miss Rarity, I am not really into fashion so I couldn’t tell you much about that. And I can’t say I saw a lot of exotic animals, they were mostly the same as here in Equestria.”
The two mares looked disappointed, but Pinkie intervened. “It’s not the time to be down. It’s time to PARTY!”
As all of the ponies were enjoying the party, there was a rasp in the bushes outside of Ponyville.
“The pony will pay, winey poney will suffer!” Six eyes peered out of the bush.

Chapter 3 First appearance of the Ghostrider
The DJ played music an incredibly high volume, the rhythmic beat filling up the entire room.
At one of the loudspeakers there was a Diamond Dog. He had grey fur like most Diamond Dogs, but the fur on his head was black and long like a mane. He wore a black vest, and on his arms there were black bands with spikes.
Soul Chain approached the Diamond Dog, and out of curiosity asked, “What are you doing?”
The Diamond Dog stopped working for a second to look at Soul Chain. “My name is Eddie Riggs, and I'm Vinyl Scratch’s roadie. I’m just finishing setting all the speakers up.”
Soul Chain´s eyes grew wide with surprise. “You can talk normally!”
“Yeah well, when you spend as much time around ponies as I have, you start to talk like them.”
Soul Chain nodded his head. “I see. Well, you’re doing a great job, but I don’t want to hold you up. See you around.”
As Soul Chain walked away, he heard the Diamond Dog mutter something like, “No rock & roll, what a drag.”
As Soul Chain ate a cupcake that tasted like it came straight from the Elysian Fields, he noticed three fillies staring at his cutie mark. “Is there anything I can help you with?” He asked.
The three fillies instantly surrounded him.
“Hi mah name is Apple Bloom,”
“And I´m Scootaloo,”
“And I´m Sweetie Bell.”
“And together we're the CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!!!”
After checking to make sure his ear hadn’t fallen off, Soul Chain asked, “And what do you want from me?”
“We want to know what your cutie mark means!” Scootaloo said as all three pointed to his cutie mark.
“Well, it means I'm good with two elemental magics, steel and fire. I guess an easier way to say it is that I’m a blacksmith. So... what’s a Cutie Mark Crusader?”
“Oh! The Cutie Mark Crusaders is a club that we try to find out special talents!” Applebloom excitedly told him.
“But we’re still looking.” Sweetie Belle added.
“Well, you'll find your cutie marks soon enough.”
“Uhh why does every adult say that!” Scootaloo said as she rolled her eyes.
Suddenly, the music stopped. Vinyl made an announcement once everyone had quieted down.“Hi everypony, I would like you to introduce you all to my roadie, Eddie Riggs. He’s going to play a song now while I take a break. So without any interruption EDDIE RIGGS!!!”
The Diamond Dog walked up to a mic with a guitar in his hands. “This song is called “Roadie ”
He started to play.
Well it's 3pm time to look the gear
Got to get it on the stage
My muscles flex
My bucking sweat will save the day
When I check the mic
I bucking check the mic
I bucking checka checka one two three
I plug it in
I make a sound as good as it can be
Cause rockers rock
But the roadies roll
Got to take the mic you got to take control
Got to get that shit upon that bucking stage

At the end of the song, Eddie looked over the crowd and said, “And this everypony is bucking rock & roll!”
Some ponies looked confused, but most stomped their hooves in approval.
“I didn't know that some brutish Diamond Dog was going to sing, and in such a vulgar tone too!” Rarity said indignantly in the background.
“I think it was awesome!” Rainbow Dash responded.
A pink earth pony stormed in and screamed, “There’s a pack of Diamond Dogs on the outskirts of Ponyville and they’re attacking ponies!!!”
Twilight took a step forward and proclaimed, “I think we may know these Diamond Dogs, come on girls lets move!” The six mares ran towards the outskirts of Ponyville where the Diamond Dogs were, and in the shadows Soul Chain followed.
The mane six quickly found the Diamond Dogs and saw that they had just buried somepony to their neck.
"There the dumb ponies are, now you will suffer!"
Twilight retorted, "I don't think so." She concentrated and tried to cast a spell, but nothing happened. "WHAT!? Why why won’t my magic work?"
"Dumb pony! This time we’re prepared. We've got a crystal that stops pony magic!"
"Magic shmagic.” Rainbow Dash said. “Let's do it the hard way." She jumped up to charge toward the trio of Diamond Dogs, but instead of flying she fell flat on her face.
"Rainbow, the ability to fly is actually a type of magic!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Yeah, chicken pony can't fly without pony magic. Now ponies will suffer and dig gems for us!"
"Well it's time to solve this problem by-." A diamond dog threw a glibbery substance at Rarity’s muzzle before she could finish. "Hmmmh, hmmm hmm !" She couldn't say a word.
"We didn’t forget Miss. Rarity's whining!"
Soul Chain watched the scenario unfold from behind a tree. Deciding it was time to act, the unicorn teleported himself into the Everfree forest. His eyes turned black as his mane and tail began to burn. Two skeleton wings erupted from his back, and his flesh turned into chains and a black breast harness. The Ghostrider stood in his full burning glory in the Everfree forest as he let a primal roar.
The Diamond Dogs looked nervously at each other. Fluttershy fainted as they all looked into the Everfree forest. Above the forest, black thunder clouds had formed and were rapidly getting closer. Lightning flashed and the form of a pony was visible for a split second.
Then the form flew down, landing in front of the diamond dogs. In a deep, raspy voice , he asked, “Now who has been a naughty dog?”
“We don't fear you! We have a crystal that stops pony magic!”
"That makes my skin crawl. Oh wait, I don't have skin !" answered the Ghostrider with a sarcastic statement.
“Well your crystal may be able to nullify pony magic, but my flames are part of my body. They cannot be extinguished, and the same goes for my chains!”
The Ghost Rider's chains wrapped around the Diamond Dogs’ torsos and necks. They moved without any magic, as if they were simply another arm. He pulled the Diamond Dogs close to his face. “I will now judge you to see how you should be punished for your sins.” His eyes looked straight into them.
He saw every sin they had ever committed, but as he did so, he also remembered Eddie. It seemed not all Diamond Dogs were bad. It was possible these three could change their ways.
“Ok, I’ll give you all one chance to run away and change your way of life, or the next time I find you, I'll burn your souls for all eternity!” The chains started to ease from their bodies, and the big Diamond Dog took the opportunity to bite at one, shattering all of his teeth. Ghost Rider roared. “Now you'll be an example of what happens to anyone who opposes me! LOOK INTO MY EYES!”
His eyes began to burn and shoot flames toward the the diamond dog. “Now suffer for your sins, for all of the innocents you've done wrong, and feel the PAIN!” As he said that, the Diamond Dog yelped. He saw everypony he had enslaved, and everything he had ever done wrong. His eyes turned into nothing but glowing coals. The dog fell to the ground, motionless. Everypony was shocked as the other two Diamond Dogs just whimpered.
“He is not dead, but his soul burns. He now lives in an eternal nightmare. Now take him and flee you fools, before you feel my wrath too!” The dogs grabbed their fallen comrade and ran into the woods of the Everfree forest. The crystal that stopped pony magic now laid on the ground, left behind in the Diamond Dogs’ rush to get away. The Ghost Rider stomped on it, shattering the jewel.
As the Ghost Rider made his way back to the Everfree Forest, he was surrounded by a purple aura.
“Impressive magic little one, but it´s no match for me.” As he said that, his flames burned through the magic aura.
“Please wait! I have so many questions!” Twilight pleaded.
“There is nothing I have to say to you except for this; I'll be watching over your town now, for it is near the gates of tartarus.”
Rainbow Dash flew straight at him. “Wait! Who do you think you are not answering our questions?” She poked him, and as a result burned her hoof. “Ouch! Didn't your parents teach you not to play with fire?”
“Be patient and the answers will come. Maybe you can ask Celestia in the meantime.” As he said these words, he disappeared into the forest.
Twilight sighed. “Come on girls, let´s wake up Fluttershy and go back to the library. I have a very important letter to send to the princess.”

A letter and a worried teacher
In the Everfree forest, after checking to make sure nopony was around, the Ghostrider transformed himself back into Soul Chain.
“Even after centuries of transforming, it still sucks!” Soul Chain complained as he stretched his body.
He teleported himself to the now empty outskirt of Ponyville, and started to make his way to his house so he could get some rest.
On the way to the library, Fluttershy woke up. “Uhhm... Where am I? What’s happening?” she asked she as she slowly became conscious.
“Oh thank goodness you’re awake sugarcube. No offence, but over the time ya get heavy.” Applejack huffed as she let Fluttershy down.
“Oh, sorry Applejack. Ehm... What happened? Where are the Diamond Dogs, and what was that terrible roar?” she asked.
“We'll tell you later. First we need to get to the library and find Spike so we can send a letter to the princess.” Twilight said.
“Uuhm okay.” Fluttershy whispered as they continued making their way to the library.
“SPIKE! I need you to take a letter right now!”
“Geez Twilight!” He yelled as he came down the stairs. “You woke me up from a beautiful dream about gem ice-cream and Ra...” he stopped ranting when he saw the whole gang was there, including Rarity.
“Ra Ra emh?” Spike was sweating bullets as he looked for anything that he could use to finish the sentence. He saw Rainbow Dash’s mane and yelled, “RAINBOW! Yeah I dreamed about gem ice-cream and rainbows!”
Twilight rolled her eyes. “Spike could you pppllleeeaaassseee take a letter. It´s really important!”
“Yes Twilight,” he saluted and ran off to find a quill and scroll.
He appeared with both and said, “Ready when you are Twi.”
Dear princess Celestia,
Today Ponyville was attacked by Diamond Dogs. Fortunately, nopony was seriously hurt. We tried to stop them, but the Diamond Dogs had a crystal which nullified pony magic, so we were helpless against them. Then something unbelievable happened, the Ghostrider appeared and stopped them. I thought that he was an old mare's tale, but I saw him with my own eyes, a burning alicorn skeleton with a black harness and chains. Princess, the most of the stories about him seem involve you, so maybe you can answer some of my questions.

“Got it Spike?"
The drake finished scribbling down the last part. "Got it. But Twilight, if this really did happen, is everypony safe?" He looked and saw that something was on Rarity's muzzle. “What’s that stuff on your muzzle?” Spike asked as he pointed at Rarity.
“Well Spike, the dogs remembered Rarity’s “complaining” so they used that stuff to keep her quiet.” Applejack tried to suppress a giggle.
Twilight looked over toward Rarity “Hmmm... Let me take a look at that.” Her horn glowed as she scanned the substance on Rarity’s muzzle. “It looks like this stuff will break down and fall off on its own eventually. I could try to remove it, but I would probably pull some of your fur off in the process.”
When Twilight finished, Rarity used her magic to pull a couch out of nowhere and promptly fainted on it. The girls rolled their eyes as Spike started to fan her.
“SPIKE, send the letter now!” Twilight demanded.
Spike rolled the scroll up and went to the nearest window to send it on its way.
“This Ghostrider guy was pretty awesome, not as awesome as me!” Rainbow Dash started gloating. “He could be a cool stunt flyer but the name must change something with Blaze would be cool.” Rainbow Dash told everypony in the room while hovering.
Pinkie popped up next to Rainbow and explained.
“Dashie, Jonny Blaze or Danny Ketch would be so unoriginal, or what do you think?” Pinkie pointed in a direction where nopony was.
“Pinkie there is nopony and how many times must I explain it to you that there isn't a crowd watching us!” Twilight explained Pinkie near a mental break down.
“Yes Twilight there is NO PONY watching us!” and she winked in the same direction where she pointed.
Meanwhile in Canterlot:
At Canterlot Castle, Celestia was sitting on her throne, thinking about how nice this day had been. Suddenly, a scroll manifested itself in front of her.
“Well, what do you know. A report from Twilight. I couldn’t think of a better way to end the day.” However, as Celestia read the scroll, her eyes widened in surprise at what had happened.
“GUARDS, PREPARE A CARRIAGE TO MOVE OUT TO PONYVILLE IMMEDIATELY!” she yelled in the royal canterlot voice. She took a quill and some paper and quickly wrote Twilight a response before heading out.
Back at Ponyville library:
“When do ya think the princess will respond?” Applejack asked.
At this moment, Spike burped, spurting out a letter. Twilight caught it with her magic and opened it.
She read the letter out loud.
My faithful student,
Princess Celestia
“Wow, he must be more dangerous than we thought if Princess Celestia is coming here herself!” Twilight exclaimed.
Rainbow Dash snorted. “Yeah right! I don’t care how dangerous he is, you all have me to protect you!” Everypony stared at Dash. “I mean, we have the elements to protect us,” she quickly said..
“Ah don´t know Rainbow, he seemed pretty strong.” A slightly nervous Applejack said.
In one of the houses in Ponyville, a mint green unicorn stood in front of a mirror and cast a spell.
The mirror turned black and a deep, creepy voice came out. “My little pony, what do you have to report?”
“The Ghostrider was seen here in Ponyville my lord,” the unicorn answered.
“Hmmm... The Ghostrider. If we’re not careful, he could ruin our plans. Let’s just eliminate him to be safe.”
“My lord, I have one question. Why is his name Ghostrider?”
“My spy, there are two reason for his name. The first reason is that I had named him Equestrian Ghost, but that name didn’t strike much fear into the hearts of anyone. That leads me to my second reason, which is that any vehicle he enters automatically changes to match his magic. Hence the name Ghostrider.
“My lord, I hope that you don´t forget what you promised me,” the unicorn said.
“I didn't forget. When I rule this land, you'll get what you want,” he said, slightly annoyed.
“Good, who do you want to send to eliminate him?” the unicorn asked.
“DEADPOOL the griffin.” The name was spoken with as much hatred and detestation as possible.

The forgotten past Part 1
Soul Chain trotted into his new home and immediately collapsed onto his couch. He thought about everything that had just happened.
So now I'm a resident of Ponyville and the gates of tartarus are right outside the village. Hopefully nothing will happen. Who am I trying to kid, peace is never an option when dealing with Tirek. I’m lucky that there were only diamond dogs today, but who knows what will happen tomorrow? And those six mares from earlier. They are something. Twilight really surprised me with her magical skill. No unicorn has ever been able to hold me that long. I also have to keep an eye on Pinkie Pie, she has some kind of power beyond imagination. Hmmmm... what if those mares really do call Celestia? No. There’s no way she she would believe them even if they did.
As he began to think about Celestia, he was filled with emotion. Pain, sorrow, sadness, love.
“Why Celestia, why did you this to me!?” He cried out in agony.
In a chariot heading toward Ponyville, Princess Celestia thought out loud, “I can’t believe he’s still alive after such a long time. There have been no rumors about him for a long time, but this can’t be a coincidence.” They neared a giant tree in the center of Ponyville.
“Now it is the time to tell my student something about the past that isn’t written.”
They touched down in front of the tree that was a library.
Celestia got out of the chariot and made her way to the door and knocked.
Twilight opened the door. She looked a little irritated, similar to how she looked during the whole Smartypants incident.
“Oh, Princess Celestia, that was quick,” Twilight greeted her teacher.
“Twilight, it’s good to see that you’re all well and unharmed,” Celestia said with a sigh of relief. “Let’s go inside, there are many things I need to tell you.”
Twilight and Princess Celestia entered the library, where everyone bowed to the princess except for Rarity, who was still lying on the couch, unconscious.
“Please everyone, there is no need for formalities. Oh my, what happened to Rarity? I thought that nothing serious had happened?” Celestia asked as she looked at Rarity.
“Hah, Rarity just had a little drama fit after Twilight told her that the stuff on her muzzle couldn’t be removed without taking some fur with it!” Rainbow Dash said while hovering in the room.
“Alright Princess, can you tell us some about this Ghostrider feller or not?” Applejack asked the princess directly.
“Yes, dear Applejack, I know much, but I must ask first. Twilight, did you mentioned to the Ghostrider that you’re my student?” Princess Celestia asked nervously.
“No Princess, there wasn’t time. He left as quickly as he came,” Twilight answered with concern.
“Good. Don’t mention that to anypony right now. It could put you and your friends in danger. Also, you shouldn’t mention that you’re the new elements of harmony. Promise me that!” Twilight make the motion of a Pinkie Promise.
“Ok, now I’ll tell you the story of a nearly forgotten past. The first thing you should know is that he isn’t evil, he is special.”
It was over a thousand years ago, before my sister became Nightmare Moon. There was a great kingdom, one with a beautiful capital. The name of the king was Scorpian. He was a unicorn with pure white fur and a platinum colored mane and tail, funny because he was a descendant of princess Platinum. He had a wife, an earth pony named Megan. They had a foal together, but Megan died during childbirth, giving her child life.
King Scorpian was both happy and sad, and he ended up making a promise to his dead wife that he would make sure his son would always be happy. As his son grew, he turned into an astonishing colt. Unfortunately, he would always end up making enemies out of his friends, usually over something silly like a prank taken too far.
One day he was sent to our kingdom to learn some etiquette, so that he could learn to be a proper ruler.
When he arrived, he greeted us with a simple, “Hello princesses.” I knew in that moment it would be a lot of work.
He didn’t talk in the royal we. He was free spirited, talked like the common folks, and bent the rules.
Over time, this fresh new way of royal actually grew on me and I liked it!
My sister and I eventually gave up trying to teach him etiquette, and instead focused on politics, like different customs from other countries.
As I spent more time with him, my heart grew closer to him. He knew it, and he shared my feelings, but we both knew that it wasn’t possible for me and him to be a- a couple.
Princess Celestia sobbed. “Sorry my little ponies, but it still hurts to think about after all of these years. I’ll continue the best that I can.” Pinkie Pie pulled a tissue out of nowhere and gave it too the princess.
“Thank you Pinkie Pie. Let’s continue.”
One day, his father became sick, deathly sick.
He was shocked to say the least. His father had a rare type of cancer with no known cure. After that, he left and searched for a way to save his father’s life.
He searched through many archives in hopes of finding something. He looked in Griffin, Diamond Dog, Zebra,even Flutter Pony archives, but wasn’t able to find anything.
Becoming desperate, he tried turning to dark magic and forbidden books.
He found a way to save his father's life in a book so dark and evil, that even I shudder at the thought of it. The Necronomicon the book of the dead.
There was an introduction on how to make a deal with the current king of Tatarus.
That was the moment he made the biggest mistake of his life while save somepony dear in his heart.
Everypony was listening. Even Rarity was awake now, the fashionista would not dare miss such a love story. Everypony had traces of tears in their eyes. Rainbow Dash was the only only one who tried to hide it.
"That, my little ponies, is the beginning of the tragic tale of Ghostrider. Right now I don’t want to continue any further. I told you this story so you would understand that he isn't a monster, or even a bad pony, he simply made a bad decision for what he thought was the right reason."
"Ok princess. I think I can speak for all of us when I say I understand what you mean." Twilight answered for all of them.
“Thank you, now I must depart and tell Luna the that he is back. And please Twilight, remember not to tell anypony that you’re my student or one of the Elements of Harmony.” Princess Celestia then left, leaving the six mares and dragon with many questions.
Somewhere dark and creepy.
In a dark hall with only a little bit of light from two torches (which burned in a blue flame), there sat a gigantic throne. Upon this throne sat a giant centaure with a black mane, beard and fur. In contrast to the black of his fur, his skin was blood red and his eyes, a yellow that glowed. To top everything off, he had two gigantic bullshorn coming out of the top of his head.
A griffin, completely clothed in a red black spandex suit with two katana on his back and two weird looking crossbows, one on each hip, entered the throne room.
“Yo boss, what job you got for me? Please tell me that there are going to be some teats!” the griffin said.
“Shut your insufferable beak Wade and listen! This job will be your last, and it can only be a win/win situation for me!” The centaur laughed right as the griffin was about to say something.
“Let me explain this to you featherbrain. You are going to kill the Ghostrider. When you complete the job, you’re free to go, and I’m free of you lose mouth. If you don’t kill him, he will end up killing you for sure so I can only win.” The centaur grinned and showed his sharp white fangs.
“Well, the Ghostrider better be ready for a bumpy ride. Here comes Deadpool!” the griffon screeched as he flew out of the window.

Chapter 1 Story of a Lifetime (edit)
Let's start with an old mare's tale of the Ghostrider .
There was a pony that made a deal with Tirek , the King of Tartarus , to save his family . B ut he was betrayed. The deal was that Tirek would save his parents from death , and in return he would become the Ghostrider and collect evil creatures for his army. The pony accepted and became the Ghostrider. Tirek saved his parents , only to transform them into brainless monsters that served his every will . His parents were sent to attack a village, and had to ultimately be stopped by the Princesses Celestia and Luna. With his parents now truly dead and the deal half broken, the Ghostrider kept his fiery powers but was freed from his servitude to Tirek.
He swore revenge on Tirek and his army of evil , and traveled across the world to fulfill his promise. Someponies say that he still travels to this very day , to punish evil so he can forget his pain.
“Woooh! That was a good ghost story Dashie!” Pinkie Pie said as she poked her head out of her sleeping bag.
“It was indeed,” Rarity added. “Poor Fluttershy is shaking so much I can feel it from here.”
Rainbow Dash laughed. “Fluttershy is afraid of her own shadow.”
Fluttershy buried herself deeper into her sleeping bag.
Twilight groaned. “First, this is only an old mare's tale, and second, the princesses would never go so far.”
“But sugarcube, wasn’t Nightmare Moon supposed to be an old mare's tale?” Applejack asked.
Twilight rolled her eyes. "Ok girls, let's get some sleep before somepony says something they regret."
It was now quiet in the town of Ponyville. A chilly breeze blew in from the South. A lone unicorn trotted down the streets. "Hopefully I can have some peace here." He whispered to himself.
The unicorn had a white coat with a black mane and tail. He wore thick glasses and his cutie mark was a flame surrounded by chains. The unicorn trotted down the dirt road to Ponyville, then sat down on a bench at the outskirts of town. I can’t do much at this hour. Maybe I should try to get some sleep.
He laid down on the bench and tried to get some sleep, but soon the sun was rising and he had to get back up. "I guess sleep is out of the question now," He murmured to himself. He made his way towards town hall so he could get a job and a home.
Twilight woke up early because she had a meeting with the mayor to help plan the financial distribution in Ponyville for the next month. She quietly stepped around the others as she exited the library. She didn’t want to accidently wake them.
I can’t believe Applejack would suggest such a thing as the Ghostrider might exist. Twilight though as she made her way toward town hall. A black alicorn skeleton, surrounded by flames that cannot be extinguished, wrapped in chains, and black sockets with glowing embers instead of eyes. You would have to be crazy to think that this is a true story. What’s next, zombie ponies? Twilight looked up. She had arrived at the town hall early. Oh well, better early than late.
The town hall came into the unicorn’s view. It was a tower with a few flags. There was a purple unicorn standing out in front. Hmmm. What’s a pony doing just standing outside of town hall? He thought to himself.
He walked up to the mare. “Good morning, my name is Soul Chain, would you mind if I asked you a few questions?”
She gave him a confused look. “Uh, good morning. My name is Twilight Sparkle. What kinds of questions do you have?” she asked.
“Well Ms. Sparkle-”
Twilight interrupted him. “Just call me Twilight.”
“Sorry. Twilight, I'm new in town-”
In the distance, he quite clearly heard a voice shout “A NEW PONY IN PONYVILLE !!!”
“... Uh, alright. That was awkward. Anyway, I'm new here and I would like to settle down, do you know when the town hall opens?”
Twilight answered, “ It should be opening any minute.” At that moment, the doors opened and a tan mare with a gray mane came out.
“Good morning Twilight, a bit early aren't you? And who is this stallion on your side? I don't remember him being invited to the meeting.”
Twilight replied, “Good morning to you as well. Mayor Mare, this is Soul Chain. He is new here.”
“Good morning,” Soul Chain said. “It´s a pleasure to meet you. If you’re not busy, I have some things I’d like to discuss.”
The Mayor looked at the stallion questioningly, “What kinds of things would like to discuss?.”
“Uh, do you think we could go inside first? It’s a little chilly out right now.” Soul Chain said as he shivered slightly.
“Oh, where are my manners, come in.” Mayor Mare stepped aside as Soul Chain and Twilight entered. “Would either of you like some tea, Twilight or Mr. Chain?”
“Yes, thank you.” Soul Chain replied. “If it isn't too much of a bother I would like dandelion.”
“No thank you. But thank you for your offer anyway.” Twilight said as she sat down.
As the mayor stepped out for a second to get the tea, Soul Chain tried to start some conversation with Twilight. “So, Ponyville is a pretty peaceful place I’m guessing.”
“Well, as peaceful as any other town I guess. Everypony gets along pretty well.”
Mayor Mare came back a second later with a tea cup. “Here is your dandelion tea. So what was your question Mr. Chain?”
Soul Chain coughed. “Please, call me Soul or Soul Chain. Now, let´s get down to business. I came here to Ponyville to settle down, and I would like to know if you have a job opening for a blacksmith and a place for me to stay.”
“How coincidental!” Mayor Mare said. “The last Blacksmith recently passed away, may Celestia be gracious with his soul.”
Soul Chain frowned for a second at the mention of Celestia. “ My condolences for your loss, but that does mean the position is open?” His eyes begged her for the answer.
“Well, I suppose we can give you the job temporarily to see how well you actually do. As for a house, I suppose you can take Metal Hammer, the former blacksmiths, house. But I should warn you, it’s in pretty rough shape.”
“I’ll take it. I’ve lived in worse. Just tell me where it is and I’ll go take a look. Also, before I go, when am I going to start working?”
“You're eager, I like that. You can come to my office at 10 AM tomorrow. Now, to get to the house, simply go down Main Road down until you see Sugarcube Corner, which looks like a gingerbread house, and it will be the second house to the left of it.”
“Thank you.” Soul Chain said as he got up. “I should get going now. It seems you two have some things to discuss, and I don't want to take up any more of your time.”
Soul Chain trotted to the exit as Time Turner entered. They made eye contact as they passed each other, and Soul Chain stopped just long enough to say, “Your eyes are old and sorrowful like mine.”
With a smug smile he galloped away. Time Turner, confused as he was, just turned around and asked himself, “What ?”
