Journal Entry of Malkior of Sigmar. April 23rd of Karl Franz's 3rd Year

"I have gone to visit an old aquatint of mine, Elector Count Roth'bin of High-tower Castle. It took many months of travel from horse and boat but I finally made it to his estate. He himself was in good spirits upon my safe arrival. The mood was darkened by my tales of what I witnessed on my journey here. Chaos festers across the land and Humanities defenders are pulled thin protecting the borders from invading forces of Chaos, Orks, and those cursed Dark Elves. Though not all news was less then dismal. For I received word from my Order's Grand Tribunal that the Elves and the Dwarves have entered into an alliance with us. Their forces have greatly bolstered our outlying castles and keeps with much needed supplies and warriors."

"I sit within the grand keep of High-tower now, writing in this journal. Dinner will be served soon and I can hardly wait. Till I find myself some spare time, I will not be making more posts in this journal."

"First Journal Entry of Malkior of Sigmar. April 23rd of Karl Franz's 3rd Year"

Twilight quickly set down the Journal that had come through the portal. She was perplexed by what some of the things that this "Malkior" was referring to. Taking feather, ink, and paper in magic, she began to make notes of certain words of phrases that popped out at her while she read. Now with finishing the first entry she decided it was time for a rest, she quickly put the journal down and left the room.  It had been several weeks since Twilight's spell had brought this leather bound journal into Twilight's life. It was during an exposition on Magic that she attempted an experimental spell she had been working on for some time. What she brought through though would change her life forever.

The journal itself was of what appeared to be a rough leathery substance, perhaps leather itself. This only caused waves of revolution to plunge Twilight into thoughts of burning the thing. But with all things knowledge, she just couldn't bring herself to do it. With self-loathing she dove back into the yellowed and burnt pages of the book, not knowing what she would find within its aged pages. The first thing she noticed on the page after the first entry was a sketching of what appeared to be a large biped.

"Its not a diamond dog, its legs aren't reversed, and it isn't covered in fur either. It seems to wear armor also, just like Diamond Dogs, yet it doesn't seem evil in any way. It had claws like them yet less clawed and more nubby. Strange, it appears to be posing for the sketcher. Although that feather is over doing it just a tad bit." She took a long look at the picture. It was well made, colored even. Below the sketching it even had a hoof written name.

It looked like it was wearing a sort of armor on its chest, arms, waist, and down to its knees. Across its chest hung a single strap, which for some reason hung an hour glass for some reason. Its left leg had what appeared to be a large piece of parchment on it, held there across the knee guard and up to the hip. Strange writing could be seen upon it, thought Twilight couldn't make horn nor tails of it. With its right arm at its hip, its left arm held across his shoulder, a massive broad sword. It almost looked like it was gleaming. It was easily as tall as the creature was. Its hilt appeared to be polished brass, branching out in parallel ways, each side ending in a small brass ball. Within the center of the brass there appeared to be a symbol of some sort, but it was to far away to be seen.

There looked to be a cross guard running down the wooden handle of the blade, but stopped close to the end. A large brass bulb sat at the end, a spike of gold jutting at the bottom. Upon further inspection by Twilight, the cross-guard turned out to be a long tassel, that extended from the top of the brass handle to near the bottom. Its armor gleamed like it had just been waxes, upon the chest piece, which Twilight knew what it was called, mostly due to her brother being in the Guard, was a single sword, a wreath behind it and a string of ribbon behind that. Twilight could just barely make out the cloths behind the armor. But they appeared to be the same kind of clothing that nobles would wear during the Gala. Lines of green and tan could just be made out behind the armor. Upon his head sat a large, almost pirate like hat, a pair of large red feathers jutted out of the hat, on the hat there was a picture of what Twilight could only guess was a skull and a knife passing through it.. A pair of flaps fell over his ears. Finally he did have a lot of facial hair, mainly the large beard and mustache that melded into one another.

The being stood in an arch way, ivy growing up on side. Behind it there appeared to be a large castle as well as shadows behind the mans armored right arm. Below the shadows appeared to be what Twilight could only guess was a field of flowers. Behind the castle there appeared to be a snow capped mountain of unknown size and name. Twilight continued to study the picture, not sure what to make of it. She knew this must be the Elector Count that this "Malkior" was talking about. But it confused her as to why he would sketch this man into his journal. Although it was beautifully illustrated, down to every finite detail, it still felt weird. Maybe the coming entries will shed some light on this. She turned to the next page and began to read.
