"Cock-a-Doodle-Doo!"

Applejack's ears were ringing, the sun shined through the window, Applebloom was groaning, and a chicken was laying on Applejack's bed. Ever since the Chicken coop broke down, The Apple Family worked hard to fix it. Most of the chickens went to Fluttershy's chicken coop until The Apple Family coop got fixed. Applejack kept 3 chickens to make sure everypony woke up bright and early.

Applejack got out of bed, and grabbed her stetson hat. "Rise and shine everypony!" she said.

Applebloom tossed and turned, Her eyes were red and soggy.

"Applebloom, yer oatmeal is getting cold!" Granny Smith said.

Applebloom tossed the blankets aside weakly, and trotted slowly downstairs. Her eyes were heavy and her vision was cloudy. By the time she got to her seat, the oatmeal HAD gotten cold. It didn't feel like a proper Saturday morning at all.

"Why do we need to get up on a Saturday again? We already got the farm ready for harvest yesterday." Applebloom groaned

"Because sugar cube, Those beavers didn't take too well to being small again, and they got a bit worked up. Applejack said. "So now we gotta fix the fences and the chicken coop, before Fluttershy gets to overwhelmed by watching all our animals in the meantime."

Applebloom was sleeping with her head in the oatmeal, a chicken hopped up on the table to eat some of the oatmeal on the table.

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Ahm a commin!" Applejack went to answer the door, to find and greet Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Rarity at the door, with all their pets with them.

"Sup."

"Hiya!"

"Hello Applejack"

"Oh hi"

"Why, hello Applejack"

"Howdy y'all!" Applejack said "So where were we gonna have our pet play date again?" She asked

Everypony looked at Applejack expectantly, except Rainbow Dash who was staring nervously at the chicken pecking at the oats on the table with Applebloom.

"At your place! Don't you remember the schedule Applejack?" Twilight asked

Suddenly it dawned upon Applejack

"Oh... Well you see ah had to take the fence down, it was too splintered to be safe, and way to weak to keep any animal inside"

While this may not be a problem at the Ponyville Park, Sweet Apple Acres was very close to the Everfree forest, If the pets got lost it would take some time to gather up the pets, but the pets would eventually get found before they were anywhere near the forest. The Everfree forest was a dangerous place and Applejack didn't want to risk it.

"Oh Darling I am sure we can keep our animals well behaved." Rarity said

"Ah don't know Rarity, I taught Winona not to go behind the fence, but now there is no fence left at the moment. I don't want to risk Opal starting another chase"

Rarity Stepped forward her face showing a pride that sent her falling down at the young fliers competition "My Opal starting the Chases!?" Rarity said. "Why I am surprised Applejack! I am sure Opal will be fine as long as you keep that little mutt under control"

"Winona? A mutt!?!?"

"YEE-OOOW!" "Stop that Scootaloo!", Apple Bloom screamed

A chicken had pecked her on the skull trying to get some oats. Apple Bloom fell back into her oat meal as Rainbow attempted to shoo the chicken away.

"Are you saying ah'm incapable of training my best pal! Sure she can be a bit hyper, but she wouldn't hurt a fly without being provoked" Applejack told Rarity

"And neither would Opal!" Rarity Defended her lovely feline "It doesn't take brute force to get her this well groomed!"

"What do you think Fluttershy" Rarity asked Fluttershy.

Fluttershy's mane was a wreck, she didn't look as shy as she did paranoid and jumpy. The question sailed right over her head.

"Fluttershy are you alright?" Twilight asked her dear friend

"What!? Oh... um sorry me and the girls didn't get much sleep yesterday"

"Shoot I guess she wouldn't be able to stop Opal if she riles Winona up." Applejack commented

"My Opal doesn't need Fluttershy to watch her! Are you saying I am incapable of handling my pets? Just leave Winona inside and everything will be just fine!"

Rarity and Applejack continued to defend their pet's honor and Pinkie entered the barn.

"Why what happened Fluttershy?" Twilight asked Fluttershy

"Well the monsters of the Everfree have been especially close to the border lately. With all the extra chickens I just got from Applejack, I just had to make sure no Cockatrices, or any other monsters wandered in. I knew I could stare anything down, but if anything happened to Applejack's chickens before I could do anything about it i could never forgive myself!

"Oh my!" Twilight couldn't believe her ears. Fluttershy must have had a hard time getting some sleep. "You must have had a hard time getting some sleep."

"The girls were over having another slumber party too, I tried sleeping downstairs, but the girls didn't feel okay sleeping without me considering what happened my first time watching them... It was hard, but I found a way to watch both the girls, and the animals. I slept on a cloud tethered outside the spare bedroom. It was terrifying! I could have rolled off in my sleep!"

Fluttershy was trembling and hugging Twilight very tight.

"Girls, Fluttershy has had a very hard time watching the chickens last night I think she really needs a break, so how about you both make sure Opal and Winona behave so we could all cool down?" Twilight asked Applejack and Rarity

The 2 arguing mares took a long look into each other's eyes, then they glanced at Fluttershy. Sure they were being a bit stuck up in their pride like they had been a slumber party long ago, but they felt the need to get to the bottom of the chases between Winona and Opal. Applejack however knew nothing about dogs, and Rarity was far from ready to take the risk.

After a long pause Applejack spoke.

"Well alrighty then, how bout' the grass fields in the backyard?" Applejack suggested. "Granny Smith could see a timber wolf a mile away back there, and if any of our pets make it around to the front side somepony could notice them heading out We shouldn't have too much trouble back there."

"Indeed any bad dog behavior would be obvious back there" Rarity pointed out.

Applejack Whistled and Winona came rushing down the stairs and out the door. Opal jumped backwards in surprise, and clawed on to Rarity's hindquarters. Everypony Headed toward the backyard, and Pinkie helped Applebloom wake up and get started on her day with a friendly reminder.

"I told you, I told you about oatmeal silly!"
