The small filly, slowly stepped off the train. She was back at home, in Manehatten. Babs sighed heavily, she knew she wouldn't be seeing her cousins anytime soon.
Her mane was a interesting color, unlike the other ponies in Manehatten. It was a brilliant amaranth, which would always fall into her green eyes. She was used to being teased for this, but in Ponyville nopony mentioned it. Babs continued grabbing her bags, and proceeded on her way back home. With each step, she looked around, scared. If she saw any of the bullies from school she'd surely get picked on without her Aunt nearby to protect her from harms way.
Eventually she made her way home, Babs romped threw the door with a huge smile on her face, excepting a huge welcome. Instead she discovered her Aunt had a couple friends over, and they were drinking as usual. She always feared when her Aunt drinked, she'd get nasty and lash out at her, sometimes even hit her. The filly sighed, and groaned a small hello to her Aunt, who barley nonaligned her.
Babs held back tears, as she slowly slid into her room. There she slinked over to bed to lay down. "I wish I was back in Ponyville.." She stammered under her breathe. Tomorrow was school, she despised school. Everypony in her class had their mark, except for her. She'd get teased for that too, along with other things about her. She held her Cutie Mark Crusader cape towards her face, hugging it tightly for comfort until she drifted off to sleep.
Bab Seed awoke to the nasty screech of her Aunt yelling at her. "Bab Seed, get up this instant!" She screamed. Her voice was already high pitched, so screaming made it even more uneasy. The filly slowly began rolling out of her bed, and slipping on her Cutie Mark Crusader cape, it reminded her Ponyville. Which made her smile, her friends where there. "Good morning Aunty." She said timidly, and blowing her hair out of her eye. Her aunt stared at her niece in disgust. She was obviously ashamed of having to raise such a disgrace. "We're getting your mane cut today. It looks revolting." With that statement, the mare trotted off, into her room.
Bab Seed's face flushed a shade of red. This insult made her feel like her own stomach turning upside down. Instead of saying anything back, she trotted over to the kitchen and fixed herself some breakfast.
The filly barley touched her meal, she was daydreaming, which she would do often. It was a great way to escape from the cruel world of Manehatten. She dreamed of her cousins, Applejack, and Applebloom. She then thought of going to school with the Crusaders. They'd giggle, and pass notes in class. All the fillies would pass notes in her class, but she never got a note, unless it said something nasty about her. Soon after, she was awoken from her daydream, her Aunt was yelling for her again. It was time to go to class. Bab Seed proceeded to follow her Aunt out the door, and into the car. Where they'd soon drive to school.
"Good morning class, please take your seats!"
Mrs. Galaxy Skies chuckled. She was a very kind mare. Her features were also very beautiful. They contained a creamy white coat, almost even brown. Her eyes were a vibrant blue, which shown threw her curly blonde mane. Babs Seed loved Mrs. Galaxy, she would often stand up for her when the bullying got bad. Everypony took their seats, the 'popular' fillies would snarl up their face at Babs, and chuckle in a raspy tone.
"Now fillies, and colts." The teacher continued on, with a small lecture. Babs listened in great fascination. Until, she felt a sharp tap on her shoulder, it was from Sugar Sweet, a very popular filly. Babs Seed and Sugar Sweet would often argue, and bicker. "Hey, Blank Flank!" Sugar Sweet, stuck out her tongue in a teasing manner. "What's up with the cape? It's not Halloween." The orange filly's face turned a dark shade of red. "M-My friends gave it-" She stammered. Sugar Sweet interrupted her sentence, with a loud laugh. "Friends? You don't have any friends. Imaginary friends don't count!" Her raspy tone, echo'd in the classroom.
With that simple statement, all the fillies and colts broke out in laughter. "What's their name, Jenel Kanel?" One colt yelled out at her. "Ah' bet she's ah' Alicorn too!" A gray spotted Unicorn shouted out. Bab Seed sunk into her chair, she could feel her face getting hot, she wished she could be invisible. The teasing went on for a couple minuets, until the teacher settled the students down.
School went by slowly. But Babs would daydream about PonyVille every know and then, that would make time past faster.
By the time school was out the orange filly was overjoyed. She packed up her things, and headed for the door. To her surprise Lilly Blossom, a pink coated pony with a flowing baby blue mane, was standing there. "Hey, Blank flank." The small mare chuckled at the filly. "Give me that cape." She threatened, her voice tense. Lilly Blossom took the Cutie Mark Crusader cape, in her jaws and pulled it off the Filly's back, ripping a slit on it.
Bab's face turned a deep shade of red, not for being embarrassed this time. But in anger. "Hey you little brat, give that back!" She stomped her hoof on the ground. Lilly raised an eyebrow, and a small smirk grew upon her face. "Oh, what are you going to do about it?"
