Retribution
We were ready. It had been almost a year since we had been freed from that binding spell. I watched as the lines of troops snaked through the forest. Ponies feared the forest and for good reason, it wasn't tame and didn't fit in to their perfect world. A world we were going to bring crumbling down or die trying. I thought about how the memories had transferred to me. It was like they were always there but I couldn't use them at all. The head of my timber wolf Jack brought me from my thoughts. I gave him a good scratch behind the ears.
"If we don't come back. Kill every single damn pony who enters the forest." I said to him. He looked at me as if to say. "Don't say that." I knew many of us would not return but I was glad he seemed to understand. I joined my place at the head of my platoon and we began our trek to Ponyville. As we walked through the forest we met as usual, not a single monster. I believe that since we were as chaotic as the forest it allowed us to live there. We never took more than we needed from the forest and in return it left us alone. We neared Ponyville and thoughts of our imprisonment flashed through my head. I felt white-hot anger course through me at our enslavement. We broke through the tree line and joined up with the rest of the army. Our army made an imposing sight in our burnished silver armor and iron swords.
"This is the day we take our revenge!" cried my Father "This is the day we remind the Solar and Lunar tyrants that we will NOT go quietly into the dark. We will fight!" I felt pride at what my father said and so did the rest of my platoon.
"Platoon leaders come here we must decide." said my Father. I knew what he was talking about and walked towards him. The rest of the platoon leaders stepped forward. Half were men and half were woman commanding platoons of their respective genders. I will also say that to underestimate a woman in battle. They are clever and sneaky and not afraid to fight dirty.
"So. Total war or not" asked My father
"Total" I said thinking about our slavery.
"Total" Said my mother
"Total" said the two men who commanded the other male platoons.
"Total" said the two women who commanded the other female platoons.
"It is decided then. Total war, complete crippling of the enemies will to fight." said my Father darkly. "Dismissed." I rejoined my platoon and informed them of the style of war. They were pleased and much cheering ensued. We began to march towards Ponyville. First though we passed by Sweet Apple Acres. I caught the eye of my father and he nodded.
"Men let us destroy the first pony settlement." I yelled.
"YES SIR!" came the enthusiastic response. The platoon and I rushed forward trampling the fence to bits and began carving a huge path of destruction to the barn.
Applejack stared out the window at the smoke rising from the orchard. She wondered what the weather team was doing about it when the noise reached her. She could hear the march of soldiers and the thuds of axes and the crackling of torches. She stared out the window as the assailants of her property reached her view. Humans they had finally come. She rushed into Applebloom's room and woke her up.
"Wuz... goin' on Applejack?" asked the sleepy Applebloom.
"Humans are what's going on Applebloom." said Applejack. "Go wake up Grannysmith and get her to Ponyville."
"What about you Applejack?" asked Applebloom her eyes wide with fear.
"I'm going to get Big Mac and we're going to pack. We won't last long at all against them." said Applejack "We WILL join you in Ponyville. I promise."
"O-okay Applejack." said Applebloom getting out of bed and going downstairs to get her Granny. Applejack went to her brother's room only to find him already up and the most important things on his bed.
"They finally decided to come didn't they." said Big Mac staring out a window as the human's pillaged the farm.
"Yup." said Applejack grabbing three suitcases and putting them on her back. Big Macintosh grabbed the other three and followed Applejack downstairs and out to the cart. They could see the tails of Applebloom and Granny Smith disappearing into the orchard heading towards Ponyville. They hitched up to the wagon and began to run like Nightmare Moon herself was chasing them. They kept running and running until they reached Twilight's Library. They unhitched and ran inside to find that the entire Elements was assembled.
"We should just buck 'em back into the forest!" said Rainbow Dash.
"That ain't gonna work sugarcube." interjected Applejack. "They're more armored than the Royal Guard."
"Eeyup" said Big Mac.
"Well I sent a letter to the Princess and she said that she was on her way with-" Twilight was interrupted by the screaming outside.
