Chapters Twilight's Question
Rainbow Dash:
I was reading at the time. When Twilight asked me a certain question, a question that I was hoping to never hear. It wasn't a bad question really, it wasn't hard to actually answer. Well in an ethical way it wasn't, but in a personal way it was. I just wasn't expecting it at the time, honestly I figured her, out of every pony I knew. I knew she would have asked that certain question at some point.
"Dash, how come I haven't met any of your relatives?" Twilight asked looking at me suddenly. I lowered my book and looked at my dear friend.
"What, what do you mean?" I asked confused, I understood the question, but my brain went on lockdown for a second. I looked at her blankly. Like I was brain dead or something.
"Relatives, I met Rarity’s sister and parents. Pinkie Pie tells...a story about her folks and a rock farm. Applejack has loads of them, more than anypony I have ever met. Fluttershy and you, I haven't met anyone of your relatives. No mom or dad, no brothers or sisters. I'm just curious is all." She said putting her hoof on her chest.
"Yeah about that." I started flapping my wings and took off into the air. "I gotta go, c-ya Twi!"
"Rainbow!" She yelled as I flew as fast as I could out the window. I flapped my wings as fast as I could towards my home. It was no problem for me to fly there in no time flat, but I wasn't expecting someone to be there. I had just lain down on my bed and took a deep breath in and then out.
"Hi Rainbow Dash." I heard and flew into the air startled. I hit my head on the ceiling, I felt woozy for a second but I was able to stable myself in the air. I was rubbing my head when I saw who startled me by greeting me.
"Fluttershy?" I asked slowly guiding myself to the ground.
"Oh I'm so sorry Rainbow, I didn't mean to startle you." She said softly apologizing.
"It's fine, I thought you were Twilight for a second." I said going over to my bed and laying down on the soft cloth that was my comforter. No wonder why it's a comforter, it so comfortable, made me wanna fall asleep every time I was under it or on it. For a second, I forgot about Twilight's Question.
"Twilight is not that scary, is she?" Fluttershy asked questioning her judgement on her friend. I looked at her with confusion. I grabbed my pillow and tossed it at the light colored mare.
"What was that for?" She asked confused as well.
"Twilight isn't scary, but her mind is sometimes. But that's beside the point, she asked me a certain question that I don't even want to think about." I said burying my head in the soft cloth of my comforter.
"What did she ask?" Fluttershy asked kindly.
"About our relatives." I said lifting my head so she could hear my mutter reply. I looked at Fluttershy, I felt really bad instantly. When she was a filly she never had a mom or a dad. I can't say the same for me, at least I had a dad. That is until he left me. I flew over to Fluttershy and hugged my friend. She returned the hug with heavy tears.

Twilight Sparkle:
I couldn't figure out why Rainbow Dash flew off so abruptly. It was rude, plus she didn't answer my question. Obviously my question is what brought up her reaction. This was only going to drive me to find out what she wanted to hide. As friends I think we shouldn't keep things from one another. Although maybe it's not even my place as her friend to know. I couldn't say for sure.
"Hi ya Twilight!" Pinkie Pie said bouncing into the library. "Where's Ashura?"
"He is at Canterlot, Shining Armor had an assignment for him." I said turning around on my chair.
"What's wrong Twi?" She asked me with concern.
"Rainbow flew out of here abruptly when I asked her a question." I said still trying to decide what to do about Rainbow.
"Oh you know how Dashie is, she can hardly sit still for long." Pinkie said with a big smile.
"Not when she is reading Daring Do, especially when she is almost done with it." I said to Pinkie holding up the unfinished book Rainbow left behind. Some of the pages were bent from falling onto the floor.
"Maybe she got ants in her pants. They must have been biting her hard, that would make me fly away abruptly!" Pinkie Pie said happily. I looked at her sternly.
"Pinkie, Rainbow wasn't wearing pants, and she was reading there for an hour before she flew off. If she had ants biting her...oh never mind, that's pointless anyways." I said with a face palm.
"Ohhhhhhh! When you have ants in your pants and you just can take it, dance about like..." I covered pinkie's mouth from the fear of her singing. I already had heard three of them already today.
"Pinkie, no singing." She nodded and I took my hooves off of her mouth. "Besides, what are you doing here?"
"I was loooooooking for Gummy have you seen him. We are playing hide and seek, and he is so good at it." Pinkie said looking around. I noticed Gummy was attached to her tail from him biting it. I sighed and pushed her head to look back toward her tail. She smile and tried to hug Gummy, who was still attached to her tail. It was funny to see her chasing her tail trying to catch Gummy. Reminded me of Winona chasing her tail for no apparent reason.
"Boy Gummy, I'll never get to hide." Pinkie said unhappily.
"Why do you say that?" I had to ask, why did I have to ask.
"We have been playing for six hours now." She said jumping at her tail, missing and crashing into one of my bookcases. All the books came out and fell on top of her and around her. Her and Gummy popped out of the pile of books. Pinkie smiled and grabbed Gummy. "Ha! You are it!"
"Oh Pinkie." I said with a smile and a sigh. Pinkie looked at me with a smile.
"So what did you ask Rainbow Dash?" She said climbing out of the books. I walked over to her and started shelving the books back into the bookcase. Pinkie was helping clean up her mess too, that would minimize the time spent on shelving.
"I asked her about her relatives." She stopped and looked at me. Her facial expression looked shocked, like she couldn't believe I'd ask Rainbow a question like that. "What's with the look?"
"Twilight, Rainbow Dash was an orphan." Pinkie said looking sorrowful.
"What about Fluttershy?" I asked surprised.
"There's a reason Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are so close. They lived together at the orphanage in Cloudsdale." Pinkie said, this was big if Pinkie was calming down for this. I had to know more, there was no question that I had to know more.
Author's Note
Made some corrections. Now just need to work on the other ones. Need to work a little slower to catch my misshapes.
Rainbow's Father
Rainbow Dash:
Twilight had waited till morning to look for me. I had to do some shopping, and I was trying to avoid her. Well she decided to go shopping too, I had to his in the clouds and try and stay out sight from Twilight. At first she didn't seem to be looking for me, but every once in awhile she'd look up at the clouds. Obviously looking for me. Wasn't expecting Pinkie to be there.
"Hi Rainbow Dash!" She screamed so loud it made my ears ring. Twilight turned and smiled in victory. She walked toward me and Pinkie. I tried to take off but was brought back down to the earth by Pinkie, who was standing on my tail.
"Well good morning Rainbow Dash. How was your night." She asked me. I got on my hooves and tried to fly off again. This time I was held in place by Twilight's Magic. I flapped my wings faster and faster, only to tire out. Twilight lowered me to the ground softly.
"Will you talk to me now?" Twilight asked me. I looked at her with tears threatening to come running out of my eyes. I tried to hold them back, but it didn't work to well the memories hurt so much. "Oh, I'm sorry Rainbow..."
"No, it's just, they hurt. The memories of my dad hurt a lot." I said wiping my eyes with my hoof.
"Dad?" Pinkie and Twilight said in unison.
"But, you never said anything about you having a dad." Pinkie said confused. "Ohhhh pie!" She said before taking off to the stand with pie.
"Hey! You have to pay for that first!" The stand owner yelled. Pinkie gave the stallion a apologetic look and gave him the bits she owed him.
"Sorrieeee!" She said before bouncing back to Twilight and I. I wiped my eyes again.
"Can we talk somewhere a little more private?" I asked Twilight.
"Yeah, one sec." Twilight's horn started to glow. The next thing I knew we were in the library and I felt dizzy and nauseous. "Just please don't fly away this time."
"I won't I promise. The only reason I did before is because the memories of him are so painful to remember." I said feeling tears coming out. I rubbed my face harshly feeling pathetic for crying. Twilight put her hoof on my shoulder and looked me in the eye. It was comforting to have such a good friend like her to have.
"What did he do to you?" Twilight asked, I must of made it sound like I hated my Father. They really wasn't the case.
"I loved him, and he left." I looked at Twilight with tears running down my face. My dad seemed to love me. He looked after me and played with me, he always picked me up from school. I thought he was perfect, I couldn't choose anypony else to be my father. I never knew my mother. She died when I was just a filly, but I still remember her singing to me. The melody of her voice, my dad would tell me how beautiful she was. He told me I had her eyes, she was beautiful too. He would show me pictures of her, I loved it. I loved everything about my life, it was so awesome.
But there was one day when I got out of school Dad wasn't waiting for me where he was always waiting for me. I've told you about how I got my cutie mark. Well that day was the best day of my life and the worst. My dad abandoned me, I got home and everything was gone except for my stuff. The next thing I knew I was in an orphanage, with other fillies who had no parents.
"Pinkie said Fluttershy was an Orphan too. " Twilight said to me. I looked at her with a small smile.
Fluttershy I knew in school, but I never really talked to her. Sure I stood up for her but I didn't really know her. She was the only other one who had her cutie mark. We know why that is too, funny how things work out. She was the first pony to talk to me when I arrived at the Orphanage.
"Hi." She said to me quietly.
"Fluttershy? Your an orphan?" I asked her confused.
"Ah...oh yeah." She said bowing her head. I think she still feels bad that she didn't know her parents. The subject of no parents hurts her even more then it does me. "I'm sorry."
"What?" I didn't expect to hear sorry from anyone. But she was showing me so much kindness for my situation. "What do you have to be sorry for. It's not your fault, it's my fathers. Fuck him."
"Oh." Fluttershy muttered lowering her head. "Isn't that a little harsh?"
"Harsh, I'll tell you about harsh. Acting like you love someone and then leaving them for no reason. Just leaving them alone, with no one." I said to her. I was taking all my anger out on her. I wish I would have known how good of a friend she was. She ran away from me that day crying. I was angry for a very long time. The ponies who watched over us wouldn't know what to do with me. I would break rules and break thing constantly.
"I just don't know what to do with such a bad seed." One of the caretakers said to another.
"I don't know, I think she's just a lost cause. No pony would take such a undisciplined filly." The other one said back. They failed at trying to stay discreet, I could hear every word they said before they left the room. I was in time out for breaking vase in the main entrance. I sat there looking at the white cloud wall in front of me.
"Are you okay?" I heard Fluttershy ask.
"You, what do you want?" I asked her turning around.
"You're not suppose to turn around." She said shyly.
"Yeah, I know that." I said harshly as I sat back how I was. Pointlessly looking at the wall.
"I wanted to talk." Fluttershy said keeping her distance from me.
"What?" I asked turning around again.
"About your dad..." She said with a pause. "I thought, maybe I could help."
"Humph, I doubt that." I said looking at the wall again. I was thick headed back when I was a filly. Could ya blame me, my father left me with no explanation. I was just ignorant and young.
"I can try." Fluttershy said sheepishly.
"Fine then try." I said throwing my hooves in the air.
"Can you tell me about him?" She asked.
"What?" I asked turning around to face her. She was across the room from me, I thought she was a freak. Just shy, Fluttershy really does speak her name. The caretakers named her Fluttershy, when she was found on the step of the orphanage she was shy and tried to flap her wings to get away from them. I suppose they thought it was a clever name, she would always flutter her wings when somepony got too close.
"Can you tell me about your dad?" She asked again.
"Why would you want to know about him." I asked her confused why she would even care about me or who he was.
"I just think it will help." She said rubbing her arm.
"What do you want to know?" I asked her, I wasn't sure where to start. I wasn't even sure why she was asking me to do this.
"What was he like?" She asked looking at me.
"He...he was wonderful. He loved me for one, always played with me, no matter how tired he was from work. I didn't have to try to get him to be proud of me. But I tried my hardest anyways. He was just wonderful, I think that's why it's so hard to believe he left me." I said bowing my head depressed.
"What did you do together?" Fluttershy asked stepping a little closer to me.
"We would go to the park once in a while. I never needed anyone else, I just needed him to have fun. We would play tag all the time, and he would be fare and not fly since I couldn't at the time. I just couldn't stop laughing sometimes at his corny jokes. How he smiled made me feel so safe and happy." I could feel tears pushing to come out. I tried to hold them back. I glanced up at Fluttershy and she was even closer.
"He loved you?" She asked and the tears finally started to flow down my face.
"I thought he did." I said with a sniffle. "He always looked after me, made sure I was safe. Made me feel better when I got hurt, made me feel better when my pet bird died. I still can't believe he left me."
"..." Fluttershy hugged me, her coat warmed me. Her hug felt so comforting. I hugged her back and buried my face in her warm soft coat.
"I feel so lost and abandoned."

Twilight Sparkle:
Rainbow stopped telling her story because she started to cry. I felt bad, I didn't even know where to begin to help her feel better. Maybe I shouldn't have pressed her on the question. Maybe I shouldn't have even asked her. I just didn't think this would be the outcome.
"I'm sorry Rainbow." I said to her giving her a hug. She hugged me back, it was a tight hug.
"I'm sorry too Dashie." Pinkie said hugging the both of us. We let her in and the three of us were in one big hug. Rainbow's tears stopped.
"Thanks girls." She said with a sniffling while rubbing her eyes.
"Well I gotta go! Big day tomarrow!" Pinkie pie yelled happily as she left.
"Bye Pinkie." Rainbow and I said in unison. I looked at Rainbow Dash, and she looked at me. I gave her a encouraging smile.
"Fluttershy wanted to know about my dad because she never had one. She wanted to know what it felt like to have a father." She said to me.
"I see." I said simply. She wanted to talk some more but I don't think she knew quite how to word them. I placed my hoof on her shoulder and she looked at me.
"Go home and sleep, you have to work tomarrow and Ponyville doesn't need their leading weather pony out of commision." I gave her a soft smile. "I'll be available to talk at anytime, after all I am your friend. I just want to help in anyway I can."
"Thanks Twilight." She said with a smile before leaving. I went to my desk and took out a sheet of paper.
"Glade to be home." Spike said with relief as he entered the room.
"Hello Spike, how was helpping Applejack?" I asked him as I prepared my quill.
"It was tiresome, I think I could use a break. This working buisness is for the birds." Spike said with a grunt of disaproval.
"Thats nice, but you wanted a job so you could buy things. Your choice Spike." I said before I started to write.
"What you doing?" Spike asked trying to see what I was writing.
"Oh, just writing a letter to the princess." Spike rolled his eyes and walked away with disinterest. He went up to our room and climbed into bed. "Maybe the Princess will know what to do."
Celestia's Secret
Twilight Sparkle
The princess had summoned me to Canterlot and wished for me to bring Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. I did as she asked and now the three if us stood in the castle waiting for Celestia. I hope Rainbow won't be angry with me, but this was the best thing I could think of.
"Why did the princess want to see us?" Rainbow asked pacing back and fourth. She didn't like standing still for to long, and was starting to get anxious.
"Because I kept something from you my child." Celestia said walking up to us. The three of us bowed to her. "Please stand, I feel ashamed of what I did."
"Princess, what are you talking about?" I asked my teacher. She bowed her head and looked at Rainbow sincerely.
"No? No, Twilight you didn't." She looked at me with concern. She then looked at the princess who avoided her stare. "How could you?"
"I'm sorry Rainbow, I just wanted to help." I said lowering my head feeling resentful.
"Help? It was in the past there is nothing to help!" Rainbow was crying, she was sad and angry at the same time.
"Now calm yourself child. Your friend did a very good thing. If anyone is in the wrong it is me child." Celestia said softly.
"What?" Rainbow was conflicted, she wasn't sure what to feel. It must have been hard for her to hear what Celestia had to say.
"I took your father from you. You grew up without him because of me." Celestia said boldly. Rainbow stood there shocked. I could tell she wanted to scream, but she held herself back only to fall to the ground sobbing hard with thick tears.
"But why Celeatia?" I asked the princess. She looked at me with sorrowful eyes.
"Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash had to meet and become friends or the elements of harmony would have been broken beyond repair. I could not let that happen, I am very sorry Rainbow Dash. I hope you can forgive me." The princess said coming over to Rainbow and placed her hoof on her shoulder. Rainbow pushed herself back. Depression had taken over her mind and nothing was making through.
"Why am I here?" Fluttershy asked.
"Because, you met Rainbow because of me and my sister." Celestia said looking at Fluttershy with calming eyes. "One night I was looking at the moon, I missed my sister terribly. I didn't notice it at first but there was a bright beam of light. Once I noticed it I took off as fast as I could. I felt Luna was trying to show me something. It was you that found Fluttershy. With a young mare."
"Hah! Really?" Fluttershy asked excited.
"I'm sorry my dear, I found her with a shallow breath. I believed she was attacked. She did not recover, but you were safe." Celestia said with a small smile.
"She died..." Fluttershy said quietly, she wrapped her tail around herself.
"I'm sorry my dear, but yes she did." Celestia said with sorrow.
"She loved me enough to die for me." Fluttershy said quietly.
"Yes, she did my dear. Rainbow Dash, your father is still alive. He is quite eager to meet you." Celestia said with a smile. Rainbow didn't react, she was curled up into herself.
"Rainbow?" I asked my friend. She was fixated at the ground, blank stare with no emotion. Celestia opened a nearby door and to my surprise I saw a rainbow colored mane stallion walk into the room. His coat was a little darker than Rainbow, but the infamous rainbow colored mane showed his relation to Rainbow Dash.
"Dashie." He said quietly. Rainbow picked up her head a little bit and looked at her aged father. Tears were heavily flowing down her face. She clumsily ran toward him and tackled him to the ground with a hug. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." He said tears flowing just as much as his daughter's.
"Fluttershy, please come with me. I would like you to met someone as well." Celestia said leading Fluttershy and I away. She wanted to give them some alone time. I knew the princess would know what to do, never figured it would be this.

Rainbow Dash:
I couldn't believe it, my dad was alive, and he was here. I still couldn't believe I was hugging my own father. We stopped hugging him and I looked at his aged face. He got much older from the last time I saw him. I looked into his eyes and was struck with anger. I slapped him as hard as I could.
"I deserve that greatly Dashie." He said holding his cheek. He looked at me smiling.
"No dad, you don't deserve it. I'm sorry." I said hugging him again. He rubbed my back with small circles. He kissed me on the head and tightened his hug.
"I love you Dash, and I always have. I do deserve it." He said, his voice brought back happy memories. For the first time in the longest time, the memories of my father didn't hurt me. He was crying, and I was crying. It was a mess and so were we. I pulled back and looked at my father again. I still couldn't believe my own dad was standing in front of me, actually hugging me.
"Why did you leave me?" It was a hard question to ask, but I needed to know.
"Hon, I really didn't want to leave. You must believe me on that. Princess Celestia came to me, she told me something I couldn't understand. But now as I stand here looking at my beautiful girl, I can believe it." He said pushing a strand of hair away from my face.
"What did she tell you?" I asked him impatiently.
"How grown up you are, how special you are. One of the Elements of Harmony." He said kissing me on the cheek. I hugged him again. "The Princess knew who you were going to be after she found Fluttershy. You two were twined together in the prophecy that the Princess foresaw."
"How did she see it?" I asked him feeling confused.
"She said the Moon showed her the story of the Six friends that would help her get her sister back." He said hugging me tight.
"Princess Luna." I said hugging him back.
"Yes, yes it was." He said giving me a smile. I smiled back at him, and I couldn't help but laugh. He started to laugh too, we just couldn't help it, we were just so happy to see one another. "Come one, lets go see where the other three went."
"Kay." I said with a big smile as we left the room. My dad knew exactly where they went, so we didn't have to look for them at all. We walked up on them in the Canterlot graveyard. Fluttershy was sitting in front of a tombstone, with Twilight and Princess Celestia back enough to give her some space. She was talking to the tombstone, like it was going to talk back.
"Whats going on?" I asked when we got to Twilight and the Princess. Twilight looked at me with a frown. The Princess did as well.
"That's Fluttershy's mother's grave site. She just started talking to her grave. She was goes from laughing, to talking, to silence. I have a feeling she is having a small break down and doesn't know how to feel." Twilight said, I sat near my friend and watched Fluttershy. She was now staring at the grave stone.
"I found her with Fluttershy as a filly. She was near death, I couldn't help her. I wish I could have, but it was impossible to do anything for her. The best thing I could do was take Fluttershy somewhere safe." Celestia said bowing her head low. She looked at me and smiled a little. "It looks right to see you with your father Rainbow Dash."
"It feels right." I said looking at my father, he looked at me as well. We both smiled at one another. I looked back at Fluttershy and walked up to her. I sat next to her and put my hoof around her. "You okay?"
"I...I don't know." She said softly. Her face was stained with tears, she had been crying. Not that anyone could blame her, this was the only true remain of any family she had. The only family she had, and was never able to meet her mother.
"She sacrificed herself to save you Fluttershy, she loved you greatly." I said hugging a little. She looked at me with fresh tears in her eyes. She embraced me in a tight hug and started to cry in my shoulder. "It's going to be okay Fluttershy, it's going to be okay."
"I feel so alone..." She said sobbing.
"You're so not alone Fluttershy, you are so not alone." I said looking her in the eyes.
"You have Rainbow and I." Twilight said walking over to us. She offered a warm smile, it brought a small smile to Fluttershy. The three of us embraced in a hug.
"I waited so long for this day Celestia." My dad said to the Princesses.
"I know you have Blitz." The Princesses said with a smile.
"Those three are very special aren't they?" He said with a smile. The three of us were laughing now. Twilight and I were introducing ourselves to Fluttershy's mother's grave. It was making her laugh, it felt good.
"Yes, all six of them are. Those six ponies are more special than they even realize." Celestia said looking at my father.
"How long till it happens?" He asked with a frown.
"Not long my friend, not long." She said bowing her head. The three of us planed to bring Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Applejack here to have a picnic day with all of our families. Things were going so right, but we didn't know that with happiness comes tragedy.
Rainbow Dash:
Dad and I went to my place. Fluttershy went with Twilight back to her cottage. The Princess continued her royal duties. Once we were inside and I stopped being so giddy dad and I had a chance to talk. "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh! I can't believe you're here! It's a mess! Close your eyes!" Okay, so I hadn't quite calmed down. I had two arms full of clothes and trash and threw them in a nearby room. "Ah don't go in there."
"Hon, you don't have to clean for my expense, my house isn't any better looking." He said with a chuckle. It felt good to have him here. I ran up to him and embraced him in a tight hug.
"I love you daddy." I said with the feeling of crying setting in.
"I love you too Dashie." he said tightening his hold. We were like that for a while before our hug ended.
"Hungry?" I asked him. I was trying to be hospitable. But it truth I was worried if he would say yes. I wasn't the greatest cook.
"Well I don't know, do you have things for Mac & Cheese?" he asked with a smile. I smiled back at him, he knew me so well, even after all this time.
"Oh, I most certainly do." I said confidently as I walked into the kitchen. Mac & Cheese was the first and only thing that I successfully cooked on my own, when I was a filly. When I walked into the kitchen I had tripped on my way to the stove. Dad started laughing at me, I felt so stupid and embarrassed. I looked at what tripped me and it was my clothes and trash that I threw in here.
"Are you alright Dashie?" He asked helping me up. He was still chuckling, and my face felt hot. I was flushed with embarrassment.
"I think so." I said in a muffle. I felt so stupid, I looked at him and the feeling of embarrassment melt away. He wasn't laughing at me, he was laughing about the memories he was having. I felt so old seeing him much older from when I was a filly. "Lets make some Mac & Cheese."
"Sounds lovely Dashie." I starting making and, first thing was simple. Fill water into a pot and set it on the stove, and wait for it to boil. Easy as one two three, or in Pinkie Pie's way One two cheese! I guess it was a good thing I was using cheese too.
"What did you do this whole time after you had to left?" I asked, it kind of slipped out, but as well I wanted to know. I wanted know about my father again, it was just something I think I needed to know. It had been so long since I last saw him. I just didn't know him anymore.
"I watched you and your friends. At least when I was in Ponyville. Other times I lead the weather control in Canterlot." He said sitting down near me.
"Well that explains the feeling of being watched once in a while. But I thought they used magic to control the weather in Canterlot." I asked waiting for the water to heat up. So far it was taking it's sweet time, I looked away from it because of something Twilight told me one time. 'Water will not boil as you watch it.'
"Oh they do, but they need someone to analyze the sky and ground to determine the weather. That's where my team and I come in." He said happily, he was proud of himself and it made me happy to see him like that. The water started to boil, I added the noodles and set the timer. I went over to the fridge and got the milk, butter and cheese out.
"You must be wondrous at hiding." I said cutting up the cheese into nice little square pieces. Reminded me of building blocks I had when I was very little.
"Not really, none of you expected to see me. You out of everyone would have been even less observant of me appearing out of nowhere." He said a little hardness in his voice. He still felt horrible about abandoning me. I looked at my dad who was staring at the ground. I could see how much it hurt him to leave, and I hated him ever since he left. I felt like the most horrible pony in all of Equestria. I looked at the little boxes of cheese, they made me chuckle for no real reason.
"Daddy, I do not blame you for leaving. I know now you had little choice, and if you didn't do what you did I wouldn't have the life I have now. I wouldn't have the friends I have, and I wouldn't have this moment I am having with you right now. I think we are very lucky." I said trying to lift his mood. He looked at me with a slight happy smile, but his eyes were very sad.
"That's something your mother would have said to me." He said, his smile faded and so did my good feeling. It had been a very long times ice I last heard anything about my mother.
"Wha...what was she like?" I asked looking at the pot of shuffling noodles and boiling water.
"She was wonderful Dashie, nice and sweet. Always put another pony before herself, very proud of herself. I see a lot of her in you Dash." He said drifting off, it hurt him obviously to remember her.
"How did she die?" I asked stirring the noodles a bit.
"That is something you will find out later on honey. I'm sorry but I just can't tell you now." He said sternly, but it was clear he just didn't want to talk about it at the moment. The timer went off and I strained the noodles. The meat and sauce were ready, all I had to do was mix the two.
"It's alright daddy, I know it hurts." I mixed the two and went to get silverware and plates. We ate in silence, things were still tense between us.
Twilight Sparkle:
I was in my library when somepony walked in. I heard their hoof steps as they got closer to me, usually I wouldn't pay it no never mind cause it was usually one of my friends. But the presence of this pony felt odd, I looked away from my studies. It's was Rainbow's father.
"Hello Twilight." He said kindly, he looked very tired.
"Are you alright sir?" I asked him a little worried. He looked very ill. "Where is Rainbow Dash?"
"She's working, clearing out the sky. She is such a great flyer, reminds me of myself in my youth." He looked sad, very sad like he just lost someone.
"You didn't answer my question sir. Are you feeling alright?" I asked again going over to him.
"No, I am not Twilight Sparkle. I don't feel alright at all, there is a lot of things that need to be done. So little time to spend with my little girl." He said bowing his head in sadness.
"What do you mean things that need to be done and so little time." I asked him trying to figure him out.
"I don't have a lot of time Twilight, I'm old, that's all I mean. I've watched you six fillies grow up to be fantastic mares. You have all grown so much, I guess I'm just feeling old." He said giving me a smile. I gave him a smile back, I didn't quite know how to talk to him.
"You're only as old as you feel sir." I said with a chuckle.
"Seeing all of you makes me feel old. But, I suppose it's a good thing isn't it. Things go on, life moves forward, great things happen. Who know what might happen in the future, but this old stallion won't see it all." He said looking at the ceiling like he was looking at the sky. I couldn't figure him out, I was getting a very odd feeling from him.
"Glass half full or half empty?" I asked him. He looked at me with a small smile. He started to laugh.
"Insight my dear Twilight, you are very brilliant." He said heading toward the door. "I will see you later my dear."
"Bye sir." I said offering a friendly smile.
Rainbow Dash:
I cleared the sky in no time flat, I'm just awesome like that. I was flying around trying to find my dad. When I spotted him he was coming out of Twilight's Library. I flew down to him as fast as i could. He was looking the other way and I had the perfect chance to surprise him.
"Hello Dashie." He said just before I got to him. I stopped dead in my tracks.
"But, how, but, how, but, but, but you were looking...." I was shocked, no one had ever seen me coming.
"Calm down Dashie, I saw you when I came out. I just waited, you are just like your mother. She tried the exact same thing to me." He said laughing. I landed on the ground near him and smiled at my dad.
"So what do you want to do. Oh! How about a father-daughter race! Or daring tricks and dangerous stunts!" I said excited, I was flying around frantically with my dad smiling and chuckling at me.
"Dashie, I can't do any of that. I'm too old." He said, I landed near him and felt stupid. Of course he couldn't do any of that, I even had to slow down when we going to my house. "I'm sorry Dash."
"Don't be, I know how it is." I said giving him a hug.
Rainbow Blitz:
It was good to see my daughter again. So young and happy, it made me happy to see her with all of her friends.
"They will all die!"
I watched Dashie fly into the sky, she was very talented. She was able to do what I couldn't, to perform the Rain-boom.
"Their deaths will be on you!"
She twirled in the sky, making figures in the sky out of the clouds she had. It was like watching my wife.
"The End is coming!"

Twilight's Coronation
Twilight Sparkle:
I couldn't believe it! I'm a princess now! I was waving at my friends and family as my Coronation was about to finish. It had been such a good week. First Rainbow is reunited with her father, I become a princess. Everything was just absolutely perfect. That was until we got to the after party in Ponyville. Everything started out great, but as the night went on Rainbow's dad wasn't looking so good. He had started coughing earlier in the week but he told us not to worry about it. That it was just a simple cold, so we payed no never mind to it. That was until...
"Dad! Daddy!" Rainbow was running through the crowd that was surrounding her father. She frantically pushed everypony out of the way until she was next to her dad. "Dad!"
"Move! Move make way!" The paramedics yelled pushing through the crowd. They hoisted the unconscious pony up into a gurney. They rushed him to the hospital with Rainbow and the rest of us close behind.
"What happened!" Rainbow asked before they went into a room where a nurse stopped Rainbow from going into.
"Sorry ma'me, you can not enter." She said sternly.
"But!" Rainbow pleaded but it was no use, the nurse wasn't going to let her threw. Giving up and having no other choice but to wait she paced. The five of us stayed with Rainbow to keep her calm, which wasn't happening.
"Rainbow Darling, please calm down." Rarity pleaded to her. But she wasn't having it at all, she continued to pace around the room, sometimes in the air other times on the ground. There was really no way of controlling her peacefully.
"Now, sit ya'll butt down Rainbow Dash. This ain't gonna help yer father, and it certainly isn't gonna help you." Applejack said trying to catch Rainbow, who wasn't even paying attention to her. After a little time A.J. gave up and took a seat near me. It felt weird to have wings now, I doubt if I wanted to I could keep up with even Fluttershy. "That pony has lost a nut ah swear."
"Well can you blame her Applejack, her only family is now in who knows condition" I said to the tired mare. She sat back giving a sigh of relief as the chair accepted her weight.
"Well no ah can't say I blame her, it's just not good fer her to be wor'in so much." Applejack said with a sigh.
"We have to wait, and actually this is the best thing for Rainbow. It she was sitting still things would be even more tragic. She would have full capacity to think, with her pacing she is taking some of her mind off her father. It's better for her mind actually." I said trying to be insightful.
"Ah suppos'in ya right Twilight." Applejack said, she looked much tired then she did before. It had been a long night, and no pony had gotten any sleep yet. Pinkie Pie herself was even passed out in one of the pottery plants. One of the nurses tried to pry her out of it, but she refused too until they were able to see Rainbow's father. It proved to be usless since the nurse didn't have the time or the patience.
"What much else can we do but wait." Rarity said with a yawn following her words. I couldn't help but yawn myself, you know what they say. Yawning is contagious.
Rainbow Dash:
I had been pacing all night since my dad had fainted and was rushed into the emergency room. I didn't know what to think, the one singular thing that was buzzing at the back of my head was that my father was dead. I was trying to push that out of my mind but it wouldn't go. I kept my pacing to keep myself busy, but it wasn't busy enough, but it was all I could do or think to do. The double doors opened and a doctor came out into the room. I was on him sooner then flies were on rotten cheese.
"Is my dad okay?" I asked frantically wanting to know anything I could about my father's condition.
"He's well, there seems to be nothing wrong with him. But...his heart is, just slowing down. We ran every test we could and we came up with nothing. It's like something is stopping his heart, I just can't figure it out. I'm very sorry." He said, he looked very tired and confused. He must of done everything he could.
"Can I see him?" I asked the doctor. My friends had awoken and were waiting for the answer.
"You can, he is awake. Not quite sure how he is, technically he should be dead. I would make the best of the time you have." He said with sorrow. The doctor went back through the doors and lead us to my dad room. He was breathing through an oxygen mask. I ran to his side, tears in my eyes with a heavy heart.
"Daddy." I said feeling sorrow in every fiber in my body and soul.
"Dashie." He said weakly. He started coughing, I sat there feeling useless. "My time has come sooner then I had hoped."
"How can you say that! You'll be okay, you will be, you have to be!" I could feel thick heavy tears running quickly down my face. I was leaving nice little blobs in the hospital blanket.
"No Dashie, I won't be. I knew this day was coming, it was suppose to happen and it will happen. I wish I could tell you everything, but it would cause the end of everything my dear Dashie." He said placing his hoof over mine. He was so weak, and I was useless.
"Daddy, I don't want you to go." I said weakly. "I just got you back..."
"I know hon, I know. But you must be strong, or it will consume you. It will end with my honey, the darkness will stop with you and your friends." He said looking me in the eye.
"What are you talking about, what darkness?" I asked feeling stuck with a lot of emotions.
"I'm sorry, but Celestia was only able to give me so much time. I'm grateful it was for this long, that I had gotten the chance to see my little Dashie, all grown up. Be strong and fight with all your might. Be strong, I love you Dashie Mine." That was the last thing he said before his breath escaped him. His eyes were dull and lifeless. I held his hoof in both of mine. I couldn't stop the tears pouring like a river onto the hospital blanket.
~A week later~
It was raining out on the worse day of my life. Everyone I knew was here. Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, Prince Shining Armour, Ashura, Synith, Spike, and my self. All the ponies that knew my father were here as well, but I didn't know any of them personally. My dad was very popular apparently. I felt the rain fall on me, soaking my black dress as I looked at the coffin my father's body was in.
"He was a miraculous pony, one that will be miss dearly. A loving father and a great friend. Rainbow Blitz, rest in peace and find happiness beyond this life." The priest said before they started to lower the coffin. Some of the flowers that were lain on his coffin had slipped and fell down into the grave.
"Goodbye daddy...I'll miss you more than you or anyone else will know." I said feeling my eyes burn from crying. Twilight had walked up to me and placed her hoof on my shoulder. She was trying to comfort me, it worked a little, but ultimately I was still struck with sorrow.
"He's in a better place now." Twilight said giving me a much needed hug. I didn't stop the tears, unlike how I was before I showed my sorrow for my dad death. It was hard to be strong, but he told me to be strong. I had to be strong, not just for me but for him and for my friends.
"Looks like I'm an Orphan again." I said looking down into the grave. They started to cover his coffin with the fresh dirt they had dug up from the grave. It was starting to turn muddy and some of the ponies were having a little trouble, but they had a job to do and the job would be done. Even if it meant that I would never see my father's face again.
Yes...A better place he is in. An orphan again, weak and defenseless. I shale kill you all and take ownership of this world, hahahahaha!
"What?" I asked when I heard a evil voice, a haunting voice that chilled me to the bone, with a laugh to match. "Something bad was going to happen, something very bad."

God I fucking hate funerals......no lie...I really hate them so much.
That's all folks, I'm taking a break for a little bit. I'm a little dried out and unmotivated. So I will continue sometime later, Idk I'll see if I can get motivated, or if something can motivate me. I apologize for the mistakes ATM, but I'm to tired and worn down to read it over and find them. I hope this is up to everyone's suspicion. I do hope no one is disappointed.
So if ya'll want another segment, maybe if I get motivation from something I'll have the brain power and drive to write some more. Because I will tell you this right now. This story is faaaaaaaaaaaaaar from over. So I hope you really do enjoy it.
A Sider's Plan

Plans are underway, things are going so well. The girl will be mine. After the father dies I have utter control, I will take control of everything. I will feed forever, nothing can stop me!
"I can't believe he's gone." The girl said, her sorrow felt so good. The pain was so good to have.
"He lives on in our heart Rainbow Dash, don't forget that." That purple alicorn is trouble, she will die soon enough. All will die, all will be under my control.
"I guess your right Twilight." The girl said feeling better. Ugh it was like poison, the feeling of relief, it's just disgusting.
"Yeah, Twilight's right. He won't ever die if you remember him and let him live in your heart." That pink one said happily. Ugh gag me sugar, that shit's disgusting.
"We are here for you darling." The white one said sweetly, ugh like swallowing soda.
"Ya betcha!" Orange, yuck, just plain yuck! I can't take it anymore!
"He is dead and you will never see him again, you did even know him!"
"But...I didn't know much about him. I'll never see him again, there..." She started to cry, now that's paradise. Cry you little bitch, cry!
"Oh Rainbow." That damn alicorn said hugging her. Ugh it made my skin burn. But she kept crying, through the whole night all she felt was depression, and sorrow. It felt so good, like swimming in toxic waste! She had been laying in her bed the whole time in a puddle of sorrow and tears. It was even better than when her father left her.
"Why did this have to happen, I'm alone again." She snuffled into her pillow.
"You're so pathetic, you deserved it you fucking bitch! Hahahahaha
"Why!" She asked herself feeling even worse. The dumb bitch could hear me but she wasn't aware of it. The feelings I could give her, just like her father, pain and sorrow. I would grow and escape this god damn realm, I will get my control and revenge on the world.
Twilight Sparkle:
I just didn't know what to do about Rainbow Dash, anything any of us tried to cheer her up it was like something was around the corner to block it. I just didn't get it, I kept getting a familiar feeling all night around her. Something I just couldn't place. Ashura was back from Canterlot, he came back to attend Rainbow's father's funeral. He told me he hated funerals so much, but she liked Rainbow and couldn't say no. Even after I told him he didn't have to go, he still went.
"Talking about odd feelings." He said randomly, he would do that once in a while. Really didn't make sense but I was getting use to it.
"Yeah, something feels odd about Rainbow." I said trying to ponder the situation.
"Odd feeling for me seeing you with wings." He said taking off his fedora. His hair was a complete mess.
"I know how you feel, kinda reminds me of when you sprouted wings." I said with a chuckle remembering the event.
"Shhh. Spoilers hun, spoilers." He said chuckling as well. The things he would say. "Seems to me there's a huge cloud of darkness hanging over Rainbow's head."
"Whats that suppose to mean?" I asked him as he took out a quill and started to write on a scroll.
"Just that there is something that's hanging on her head, or should I say her heart. You've met it before, even had to trial with it yourself. Two different ways might I add." He said continuing to write. He started writing a lot more since he move here to Ponyville for good, well besides the occasional missions from my brother, or the princess.
"Something I have dealt with before, twice even. Hmmmm, well if I had to make a guess I say it's because of you." I was spot on too, I was exactly right, but he just shook his head.
"Nope not because of me. This story has hardly anything to do with me." He said before rolling up the scroll. He wouldn't ever let me read them, just stashed them away. I went snooping and no matter where I looked I just couldn't find the darn things.
"What do you mean story?" I asked, again he was always using story references. He was just odd, but I think that how our relationship is so good. He crazy and nuts at time and I'm orderly and studious. Although at times it seems we switch roles at times, but it works.
"Life itself is a story, this is her story not mine." He said smiling at me slyly.
"You can be such a mystery at times." I said smiling at him. My smile soon faded as I thought about Rainbow Dash again. She said something to me, that she had a bad feeling. Something bad was going to happen, if only I knew what was going to happen.
Author's Note
Felt a little better so I typed this little bit. It's not much but it's filling a hole I felt that was in the story. I hope no one minds me putting myself in this a little. Trying to stay away from that but I needed someone other than Spike to talk to Twilight, plus I think I add a little to the story so far, well I hope you all like this little bit. I guess I won't be taking a break, my mind won't let me, but it might take me a little while to post things. I don't know, I'll see where I am tomorrow.
Rainbow's Father ???
Rainbow Dash:
I had stayed in bed all day. I ignored everything around me. I was just to numb to care, I didn't answer the door when Fluttershy had stopped by, or when Jaysha and Blaze from work came to see if I was home. I just told them all to go away. It was late in the afternoon. The sun had been long lowered by Princess Celestia and now the moon hung in the sky by Princess Luna. My front door flew open and Twilight and Ashura stepped into my room.
"Out of bed Dash." Twilight scolded me like a child. Was perfect because that's how I reacted. I refused to get out of bed, ultimately leaving Ashura the job to pull me out of bed.
"No I don't want to get out of bed." I said clinging to my sheets and blankets. They came with me with no help with keeping me in bed. Ashura was strong I'd give him that.
"Quit being a child Rainbow Dash." He said lifting me with his magic. He didn't use magic much, and he had an odd ability to change his form. Celestia knows but doesn't question it, one second he has wings and then the next he doesn't. At this very moment he was like Twilight, an Alicorn.
"No I wanna be left alone and in bed." I said pouting.
"Rainbow dash it's been two days since you left your home. Have you even eaten anything? Your skin and bone." Twilight asked looking at my rib cage that was showing clearly through my skin and fur.
"Dash, this isn't healthy." Ashura said trying to force me on the ground with his magic, I resisted by trying to fly away. "Man her wings are strong even without eating." But soon enough I got tired from lack of nutrition to keep my strength up.
"Daddy says this is healthy! He says its good!" I yelled feeling light headed, I was near passing out.
"Rainbow, what are you talking about?" Twilight asked me. I shook the feeling out of my mind and looked at my friend.
"He's still here Twilight, he's keeping me strong." I said, I didn't realize it but I was crying as the words escaped my lips. I looked at my two friends who looked at me and then at each other confused.
"Well T, I'd say its a Sider." Ashura said looking worried. Twilight looked at him with just as much worry.
"What's a Sider?" I asked, then I felt a sense of regret for asking.
Don't ask that stupid stallion that!
"It's a bein...." I cut him off before he could continue.
"Blah blah blah, shut up! I don't want to hear it!" I said putting my hooves over my ears. I felt a hit of sadness and depression fall over me. My eyes burned so much from the crying had done.
"He's dead Rainbow, but I'm still here. All will die!"
"Rainbow Dash!" The two yelled trying to get me to respond. Then the next thing I knew they were pushing and forcing me to look in a mirror. I forced my eyes shut still holding my hooves over my ears with all my might. Then I heard Twilight and Ashura's voices inside my head.
"Please Rainbow, we are only trying to help. We are your friends." I felt myself calm down. My heart rate slowed down from its irregular speed it was going at. I forced my eyes open and took my hooves off my ears. I looked in the mirror and I saw two things specific that made me feel disgusted. One was how I looked, my athletic body was waisting away, and there was something behind me. I looked at Ashura and Twilight and then back at the mirror. There was a dark figure that looked like my father behind me.
"What is that?" I asked shocked.
"That is a Sider Rainbow." Twilight said hugging me. I kept staring at the figure behind me.
"It's a being that lives off of agony and sorrow. Dash, I believe your looking at your father's killer." Ashura said putting his hoof on my shoulder.
"But it looks exactly like him." I said confused as all hell.
"I know it does. Because it is your father, everyone has a Sider born when they are born. They make up of our negative emotions and show over us. This Sider took your father life and fed from the sorrow he felt when he left you. It killed him Dash, to leave you it killed him." Ashura said looking at the figure. The figure stood there not doing anything, it was sittin on the ground like I was but acting like a shadow.
"Why is it with me?" I asked looking at Ashura.
"Because it has fused itself with your natural born Sider. A Sider can be seen usually by the sun, also known as your shadow. Normally they don't grow strong enough and die when you die, but in some cases there are ones that grow to be strong." Ashura said pointing a the aura the Sider was giving off.
"It's almost strong enough to leave and manifest itself into reality. Rainbow Dash, it has been feeding off of you." Twilight said giving me a sincere look. This whole situation made me feel sick and sad. The Sider then smiled showing large rows of razor like teeth.
"Rainbow Dash you have to feel something other then negativity." Ashura said, but he was too late. I couldn't help but feel bad, the Sider's smile grew and then it disappeared. "Son of bitch!"
"Ash, watch your language." Twilight scolded the stallion.
"Sorry, but we are in dee..." The next thing either Twilight and I knew Ashura disappeared out of no where.
Twilight Sparkle:
Ashura had just disappeared, just gone. At first I didn't believe what I was seeing, but when he didn't return I couldn't but help hut freak. "Where the hell did he go!"
"Oh Celestia, what's going on?" Rainbow asked freaking out as well.
"Well lets see, I killed Blitz and took his place. I then made Dashie feel so bad to give me strength, I then took that bastard Writer of Reality away so he wouldn't be a nuisance. Now I guess I'm going to kill you!" The Sider Blitz said manifesting itself I front of us. The thing opened its mouth and lunged at us. I jumped away but the Sider was able to get his jaws on one of Rainbow's arms. I bucked the dark creature and pulled Rainbow toward the exit.
"We need to get the hell out of here." I heard myself say. Rainbow looked unresponsive. I was a little worried as we quickly fell to the ground. I opened my wings and Rainbow fell from my grip. I dove after her but I just didn't have the experience to carry her. She was nearly to the ground when her wings opened and she flew up into the sky.
"I will get you Dashie!" The Sider yelled as it laughed. Both me and Rainbow quickly flew away from the hideous creature.

Rainbow Dash:
Twilight was freaking out, as soon as we got back to the library she was losing it. She was pacing now, back and forth crying and screaming. I felt a little stupid, I was like that when my dad was in the hospital. Although this was much worse than someone dying, this was big trouble for all of Equestria.
"He's gone! Just gone! What in Celestia's name are we going to do!" Twilight was yelling, I don't think she knew she was yelling. But I couldn't blame her, someone she cared for just disappeared. At least I had closure, at least I knew where my father was.
"Twilight, you need to calm down. Ashura never freaked out like this, he kept calm and took thing rationally. You need to do the same." I said trying to calm my friend down. She did, she stopped freaking out and was now still. "Now are there any books on these Siders?"
"No, there a complete mystery to me. Ash was the only one who really knew what they were." She said, we were kinda hopeless.
"So what, we've dealt with worse. Lets just get the Elements of Harmony and take him down." I said, the only idea I had. She nodded and we were out the door. We first went to Rarity's boutique. The place looked abandoned, and we were even more shocked when we went inside.
"Rarity!" Twilight yelled, it was completely dark. We got no response.
"Rarity!" I yelled getting the same result. We looked at each other confused. We then want to find Fluttershy, we got nothing like we did at Rarity's. Then we headed to Sweet Apple Acres. Applebloom, Granny Smith, and Big Mac hadn't seen her. We were starting to get worried. We then tried to find Pinkie Pie, nothing we got nothing. We couldn't find our friends. "What are we going to do?"
"I don't know Rainbow, I just don't know." Twilight said feeling defeated.
"Hahahahahaha! Can't find your friends?" I heard my dad's voice say. It sounded like there was an evil essence behind his voice as he spoke. It sent chills down my spine as well it brought tears to my eyes. "What a crying shame! Hahahahaha!"
"What have you done with them!" Twilight yelled to the dark sky. All she got back was laughter.
"Oh I haven't done anything, I left that up to your boy toy."
Twilight Sparkle:
I was shocked when I saw Ashura surrounded in a dark cloud. He was struggling to get free, he looked like he was trying to swim away from a riptide. Flailing his hooves and wings but it was to no end.
"Twilight you need to find Sombra's horn!" He said as the dark cloud started to engulf him. "Find that god damn horn!"
"Ash!" I ran toward the dark cloud only to be tackled to the ground by Rainbow Dash.
"Don't or you'll end up just like him!" Rainbow said dragging me farther away. She had to hit my across the face before I came to my senses. I watched helplessly as he disappeared into the dark cloud completely. "Twilight we need to get out of here."
"Alright, alright let's go!" I hard myself say. Both of us took off into the dark sky. Ashura's voice rang through my head. 'Find Sombra's horn.' What did he mean by that, as far as anyone knew King Sombra's is dead. How can we find his horn?
"Do you have any idea what he ment?" Rainbow asked as if she could read my mind. The whole situation didn't fit, how did King Sombra's fit into this?
"Its a being that feeds off of despaire and agony." I remembered Ashura telling Rainbiw Dash. Agony and despaire, I think I've got it.
"Rainbow Dash, we are going to be flying for some time. Think your up for it?" I asked my athletic friend. She looked at me and smiled.
"Is that a challenge!" She asked excited, I think for a second there she forgot what was going on.
"The finish line is the Crystal Empire, race ya!" I said feeling empowered. We have been put against worse. We can figure this out and save Equestria, and my Ashura.
"You're so on!" Rainbow said before she took off as fast as she could.
Sider Blitz:
I had to take that damn writer. I hate writers, pathetic scum they are, messing in our affairs. That daughter of mine, listening to that damn writer. Sombra that old fool. A ledgend, a selfish ledgend. That horn won't do shit for them, that writer has no idea what he was talking about.
"Your the first Sider powerful enough to capture me." The writer said smug, he was being smug. It was royaly pissing me off.
"Just be happy your different or you'd be my puppet to fuck with." I said letting the void surround us. It feels different being outside of the realm. But it was good, it was a good feeling. To have the moonlight on my flesh.
"Now now, no need to get inappropriate. Kids might read this, besides no one likes to read about a man raping another man." He said with a smile. God the fucker pissed me off, but I needed him. I wish I could break his neck, or burn him alive. But I needed the fucker.
"Quit talking in riddles, we are in reality. Real reality, for me to control." I felt powerful, but I couldn't let my ego get too large. The damn writer was still smiling at me. "Do I look preaty to you, do you wanna kiss me?"
"Sure, come here and pucker up." He said still smiling that damn smug smile. I tried to figure him out, but once I got close he tried to take a swing at me. The dark cloud I had manifested to capture him weakened for a second and then retracted back, binding him.
"I wish I could kill you." I said pissed as all hell. "Why haven't you tried to break free?"
"Because I'm a weak little stallion that needs his mommy. Actually I could use your mother, I bet she would like a fun round in bed." He said lounging back in the dark cloud like it was a hammock. "Or you could just bring me Twilight, but you wouldn't be that stupid."
"I killed my mother and fed from her force, just as I did with my daughter." I said hidding myself back from attacking the guy. He was trying to get me to fight so I would break consentraition on the dark cloud.
"Ohhh, aren't you a bad ass." He said with that god damn smile.
"Your an annoying little piss stain!" I shouted at the fucker. He was pissing me off and I was loosing my consentraition.
"Why thank you, I bloody love it." He said in a english accent. Ugh out of all the things I take hostage I had to capture this annoying fuck face.
"If only I could kill you." I said trying to gain my mind back. Why was this writer pissing me off so much. My brother talked about him, usually describing him as a tortured soul. One that bears misery close to his soul. Why was he like this, I was expecting anger and madness. Not joking and annoying.
"I was just thinking the same thing. Your lucky you caught me with wings and a horn. Or you would be in a world of hurt." He said with all seriousness. There was the writer I was told about.
"You can't touch me, even without that cloud." I told him feeling strong as all hell.
"Yeah that is true, Dash is the only one who can stop you. But it doesn't mean I can't make you hurt. I could make you wish your existence was never created, that your essence was lost. Even a Sider feels pain, more pain then any living being. Little existence hurts don't it. Knowing that you don't exist without another being. You're pathetic." My anger spiked and I punched the guy in the face as hard as I could.
"You will keep your mouth shut! I will rule this land, and with it I will rule everything that has ever existed! I have beaten you Ashura ZXexian Glitch. Your dear Twilight will die and Dash will be mine to feed from! You have lost already!" I screamed at him, I felt my insanity slipping from me.
"If you think so, then why can't you find the other four of the elements of harmony?" Damn him to the realm, damn him!
"Where have you hidden them!"
"Spoilers my dear Sider, can't ruin a good story with spoilers."
"Shut up! We are not in a god damn story!"
Author's Note
Alright, if y'all caught it. I have a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship with Twilight in this story, mostly cause I have a Brony crush on her. Hey it could be worse ^^! Pulse I've got a big moth and I never shut up, I bet I drive Sider Blitz mad XD. Now, is anyone confused lol.
This is the last long part I will be mentioning my OC. The story is now going to to use mainly on Twilight and Rainbow Dash and King Sombra's horn. I wonder what's so important in him and his horn?
Twilight Sparkle:
I let Rainbow Dash win the race to the Crystal Empire. She was near passing out when we got there. I could have beaten her, she was so weak from not eating. Once we stepped into the city itself I force Rainbow to eat something. She argued at first, but once she got the sandwiches and other food in front of her. I swear she was never going to stop eating. It made me remember when I first met Applejack, that was the most I'd ever eaten.
"I wonder where our friends went?" Rainbow asked before she belched.
"I have no idea Rainbow, this just seems so odd. I think I see how Sombra fits into all this." I said raping up my left overs. I hate it when your not as hungry as you think.
"Don't tell me he's a Sider." Rainbow said stretching her limbs. "It feels so good to have a full stomach. I feel so refreshed."
"Your such a meat head." I said with a chuckle. "No, he isn't a Sider. But he did enjoy others being miserable and depressed. I think something else entirely different."
"And what would that be?" Rainbow asked.
"I have no idea exactly. Just a feeling." I said, I didn't know where to start looking. Sombra was last seen trying to enter the city. How could we find his horn. "Where to look."
"Are you sure Ashura was on his rocker, may e he was being controlled sending us in a wild goose chase." Rainbow didn't know Ash like I did. He would die before someone controlled his will.
"You can't mimic an attitude like his, trust me, it was him." I said, a warm smile crossed my face. I remembered when I first met him. He was so business, didn't want anything to get personal. He slipped on that one in the end. Especially when he first kissed me. I hit that loser so hard, yet now look at us. I shook the thought from my mind.
"Then were do we look?" Rainbow asked looking at the bright blue sky. I bet she was itching to fly again, me myself, my wings were sore. Just got my wings and I don't have a lot of experience with them. I just feel like I'm missing something.
"Sombra's horn?" I asked myself trying to ponder what he meant. "Oh! Magic! Sombra's magic, he didn't actually mean find his horn, he meant use his magic!"
"What?" Rainbow asked plain out confused.
"Princess Celestia showed me a spell, on that Sombra used. But now the real question, what do we do with the spell?" I asked myself.
"This may just be nonsense, but what it you used the spell on me?" Rainbow asked.
"I wouldn't recommend it, I would even begin to think of what it might do to you." I said unsure of what she was proposing.
Rainbow Dash:
"I think that's what we need to do Twilight. I trust you, and I want you to trust me." I had a feeling, just an odd feeling.
"Alright..." Twilight was still unsure in the subject. But she readied herself. She got off the chair she was on and went a few paces away from me. I waited for her, she gave me a unsure look before I nodded at her. "Here goes nothing."
"Do it Twi." I said, I saw Twilight's horn glow a black greenish color. It hurt like all hell when the spell hit me. I rolled around in pain. My eyes didn't want to stay open, and I had a high pitch ringing in my ears.
"Oh Celestia, Rainbow..." Twilight's voice faded away. The pain soon subsided and I was able to open my eyes. The ringing had stopped, I now found myself staring my dad.
"Rainbow Dash?" He asked, he looked confused.
"Daddy?" I asked trying to process the information my eyes were giving, but my brain wasn't reading it correctly. He didn't look like the Sider copy of my father. His mane and cost were brighter than the Sider. His eyes didn't hold any anger or hunger for destruction. They held sadness, more sadness then I have ever seen one pony bear. From the look on his face, he looked just as confused as I was.
"How? I don't understand." He was sitting, looking at me like I was just his imagination.
"Twilight used a spell and now I'm here." I said, it was the only bit of info that made any sense. "Am I dead?"
"Hold still." He said before walking over to me. He put his hoof on my head and smiled. "Nope, still warm and you still have a heart beat."
"Dad...you're so cold." He took his hoof off my head. I then placed mine where I should have felt a heart beating. I didn't feel anything. "No heart beat..."
"Not one beat since I got here." He said smiling. It felt good to see him, I'm sure the feeling was mutual. I smiled at him, I could tell he was happy to see me.
"So, this is death?" I asked looking around. I saw nothing, just a black endless void.
"Not quite you fucking bitch!" I heard my voice say. But it was darker and crueler. I looked around, and flying just above us was me. But her mane and coat were much darker.
"Meet, you Dashie." Dad said sounding a little irritated.
"Who or what are you?" I asked her. She scowled at me.
"I'm you stupid. A Sider, at least that's why that damn writer calls us." She said landing near me. She looked me up and down. "Just to think, if it wasn't for this guy I'd be you right now."
"What are you talking about?" I asked looking at her feeling confused.
"We are in the void, a place were Sider's live. But this one is special, this one is were people who are killed by a specific Sider go. Basically, we are in my idiot dad's stomach.
"That's a disgusting thought." I said nauseated just thinking about what it would be like being in an actual stomach. I looked around the place, it was just a big black valley. Nothing was there at all, I couldn't even tell from a distance what was the ground and what was the sky.
"Just be happy you can't actually see what is really here. Being alive, it looks void-less, when to us it's much worse." The Sider me said flying into the dark sky.
"She's right Dashie, it's hard to bare things in this place. There are stuff here I wish I never had seen." My dad said, he looked so run down, like he was so tired and in pain.
"This doesn't make sense, why would Ashura want to send me here?" I asked myself. "How is this going to help us, how is this going to stop the Sider you dad?"
"Dashie, maybe he didn't send you here to find a way to fight the Sider me. I think he just sent you here to see me, one last time. He kept his promise, I think I know what to do Dash. Tell Ashura thanks when you see him." He said giving me a hug, he smiled at me, kissed me on the head and pushed me away. "This is good bye, Dashie. I love you so much."
"I love you too daddy." I said giving him one last hug. His body was so cold, it was hard to hold him. Once I let go of him I felt myself getting dizzy.
"Bye bye, Dashie." The Sider me said mocking my dad. The next thing I knew I was looking at Twilight. She was still standing in the same place where I last saw her. She looked at me with confusion.
"It did nothing?" Twilight asked before sitting back down on her chair.
"Twilight, it did do something. I saw my dad, he says he knows what to do. I think I know what I need to do as well."
Sider Blitz:
"Damn you! Damn you to fucking hell!" I yelled at the Writer hitting him repeatedly. The bastard was smiling.
"Sorry, couldn't help but tweak in a little for this story." He said with a laugh. I punched him, and the smile stayed on his fucking face. My whole body ached, I held my stomach. The damn thing was killing me.
"What did you do!" I yelled falling to my knees.
"I only told them to find Sombra's horn." He said laughing. His blood covered his face, some of it was dropping to the floor. I watched it drop onto my arm.
"His damn horn should have been destroyed along with him! What did you do!" I asked trying to bring myself to look at the fucker.
"I just said something from the past. An episode you might say, something that only Twilight would have remembered. They did exactly what I told them. I kept my promise, that is all I did. Nothing more, nothing less. Just bring a father and daughter back together on last time." He said with a smug smirk. My anger allowed me to get on my hooves and attack the writer. I kept punching him over and over until I couldn't. The last thing I seen was him still smiling as the cloud engulfed him again. I passed out soon after.
Author's Note
Took me a little time, but here it is! I hope ya'll like it. It's coming to an end here soon. I'm looking for some guesses on how this is going to end. So who wants to make a guess? Come on, you know you wanna guess how it ends lol.
Rainbow Dash:
Who would have guessed it was a simple thing. Something I haven't felt in so long. I loved my father, I truthfully loved my father, and I know he truthfully loved me. "Twi, I want to go see my mom."
"Your mom?" She asked.
"Yes, my mom's grave site. I want to see my mom's grave site." She nodded her head. Twilight was such a good friend. We took off into the bright blue sky, leaving the Crystal Empire. Sad how we flew all this way, for nothing. We actually didn't have to fly to far. The cemetery where my mom was buried was near the Crystal Empire. Clouds Dale made this place their grave yard, I honestly didn't know why. It was just tradition.
"Are you okay?" Twilight asked me once we landed just before the graveyards gate. I looked at my friend. I honestly didn't know how I felt. I looked at the large gloomy metal gates. "Rainbow?"
"This place is depressing. I remember as a filly, Dad and I would come here. To visit mom, he would bring a bouquet of flowers. Always left them on her grave." I said as we walked inside. The place was full of head stones. I walked along the familiar path. I looked at the grave stones, some old, some new. Then we came up to my mother's. There sat on her grave site was a bouquet of flowers. "I guess he never stopped."
"He loved her so much, didn't he?" Twilight asked. I looked at the flowers. They were random, mostly white roses. White roses were my mom's favorite flower. I sniffed the flowers, they were still fresh. The smell reminded me of the one single memory I had of both my dad and mom. The day before she died.
“Hi mom.” I said sitting down looking at the lettering on her marble gravestone. I read her name out loud, “Firefly, loving mother and wife.”
“Firefly? Why does that sound familiar?” Twilight asked joining me.
“It’s because she was famous, she was a delicate flyer. Was talented at what she did, even after she died ponies still talked about her. They talked about her even more after she died. Dad never liked it. He got so mad some days. But he always kept his cool, never let it get to him completely.” I said feeling tears well up in my eyes.
“Why did you want to come here?” Twilight asked.
“Because this is why my dad died. He died because of that Sider, he loved her so much, it latterly killed him. He tried to be strong, but he couldn’t only do so much. Twilight, when he left it devastated me. But it killed him that is why he left. I loved him, I have a true reason to love him.” I said feeling myself smile. But the tears were still coming.
“Have you seen him then?” Twilight asked me. I looked at her confused.
“What are you talking about?” I asked whipping at my eyes. I felt weak for crying, but I couldn’t make them stop.
“Nothing, don’t worry about it.” She said looking at my mother’s tombstone. I couldn’t stop the tears, and it was pissing me off. But I didn’t want to do something stupid, I felt like mom was watching me. I turned around and started to leave the cemetery.
“What are you doing?” Twilight asked confused.
“Going home.” I said with a smile, alone with tears running down my face. Twilight was taken back for a minute, but she soon gave me a smile. She walked beside me as we left the cemetery. “I don’t think I’ll be able to fly back to Ponyville.”
“Don’t worry, if we walk we should be there just before dark.” Twilight said looking at the sky. She was smart, brilliant really. Smartest pony I had ever met, and ever since she met Ashura, she changed a little. She grew up a little, became even better if you ask me. She knew what to do in sticky situations, she really did earn her wings, quite literally. She was a princesses, and she was helping me. She was being a friend first and a princesses last. I was more important to her.
“Rainbow Dash, are you alright.” It didn’t register in my head at first, but I soon realized I was hugging her. I squeezed her tighter, the tears wouldn’t stop. I just couldn’t get them to stop, but it was alright. It was okay to cry once in a while. It wasn’t a sign of weakness, it was quite the opposite. We cry because we are sad, we have emotions. They are a great burden, but a bigger blessing. Never did like this mushy-mushy stuff, but it just sort of fight.
“You were there for me, you and Ash, were there for me. You didn’t have to be, but you were there.” I said looking at her. She smiled at me and put her hoof on my head, like I was a child. It didn’t really bother me to be honest. The tears soon stopped, I was still sniffling though; that was embarrassing to say the least.
“You are my friend Rainbow, why wouldn’t I be there for you. I’ll be there for all of you, don’t you know all of you are my very best friends? There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you idgits.” Twilight said hugging me. I gave her a hug back.
“Isn’t that Ashura’s word he uses instead of idiot?” I asked chuckling.
“Yeah, not sure why he uses it, but it fits him I suppose.” She said with a laugh. With that we walked, and walked. We have a lot of time to talk, there wasn’t a moment it was silent. It was like we were rekindling our friendship. The sun had already set when we made it to Ponyville. “So what are you going to do?”
“I’m going to live Twilight. I get it now, even in the past I let my dad leaving and my mom dying get to me. There were days I wouldn’t do anything, I’m not going to let that happen anymore. I’m going to do what my father wanted me to do. I’m going to live my life and be happy.” I said feeling myself smile. We parted ways after that, Twilight went to her house and so did I. It felt good to crawl into bed that night, a lot was going through my mind. I was worried about Twilight’s boyfriend, but there wasn’t much I can do. At least not yet.
The next few days I did exactly as I told Twilight. I lived my life, and for once it felt right to do so. I wasn’t even thinking about my mom or dad. Well actually, that’s not the whole truth, I would think about them once in a while. But I would have a smile on my face, I remembered the little things about my mom and all the good times my dad and I had. A week past and nothing changed. Twilight was starting to worry more and more as the days went by. Soon enough a month had past and nothing had changed, there was no sign of Ashura at all.
“What if he’s dead? Oh Celestia, please bring him back to me!” Twilight had been like this for a few days now. She would go from freaking out to calm as if she was bipolar. All of our friends tried to comfort her, and try to get her to calm down when she was losing it. But she wasn’t anywhere near reality when that happened.
“Now, now sugar cube, he’ll be all fine. Ah swear he’s fine.” Applejack said not actually believing what she said. To tell the truth, everypony thought Ash was dead. What else could we think, that was until I had an idea.
“Twilight, I think I have an Idea how we can check to see if he’s alright.” Every one of my friends looked at me with confusion. I actually had thought of it before, I just wasn’t sure I wanted to go through it again. “Use Sombra’s magic on me again.”
“What? Are you crazy?” Twilight asked, all of our friends looked at us confused. They didn’t know about what happened in the Crystal Empire. Wish I really didn’t have to bring it up again. But I felt like we didn’t have a choice. The last time I went there I met my father, and my Sider.
“I don’t think we have a choice. He’s been missing for a very long time, if my father’s Sider won’t come to us. Then one of us has to go to him.” Twilight knew I was right. But the last time she did that spell, she felt like she was about to lose someone again. But again, she didn’t have a choice.
“We are coming too.” Rarity said.
“Yeah, we can’t let our friend go in whatever this matter is alone.” Applejack said.
“Yeah!” Pinkie Pie said while bouncing.
“Yeah.” Fluttershy said shyly.
“No, this is something I must do alone. I’m sorry girls, but no one else is coming. Besides, if we don’t all make it back. Twilight will be alone, this is my decision, and I’m going alone.” Everyone exchanged worried looks. “I love you all, which is why I must do this alone.”
“We understand Rainbow.” Twilight said with a smile.
“Now let’s get this show on the road.” I said preparing myself for the spell. I saw the dark magic engulf Twilight and then shoot at me. I’ll tell you this, it hurt allot more than I remembered. Once my head stopped spinning I looked around. It was black like it was before, but both my father and my sider were nowhere to be seen.
“Well, well never thought I’d see you here.” I turned around and I saw myself.
“Sider me, where is my dad?” I asked, she had a crude smile plastered on her face.
“He’s gone, and soon I will be too.” She said flying up. I followed her, she was hiding something. Where ever we were going I had no idea.
“What happened?” I asked when she stopped.
“You’ve cut my dad off Dashie poo.” She said getting close to me. “God that name your dad would call you. Dashie this and Dashie that, gah! Gag me with a spoon.”
“That’s my dad you’re talking about!” I said pushing her. She pushed back with a smile, like she was waiting for this to happen.
“Yeah, and once I’m out your daddy will be mind to feast on. As will you.” She said falling back. I let her fall, I wished she would hit something. But she just fell and fell until I couldn’t see her anymore.
“Why hello there.” I turned around and saw my dad’s Sider.
“Where is Ashura?” I asked trying to prepare myself. But I wasn’t sure what to prepare for.
“You mean him?” Someone kicked me from behind. I felt myself fall, once my head cleared I twirled in the air and got back into the air. I looked up at the one who had attacked me. It was Ashura, or at least it looked like him. But he was blue, instead of red. “Meet his Sider.”
“I’m going to bite you.” He said with a maniacal grin.
“No you’re not.” I flew away from him, which made him chase me. I was good at avoiding him, but he had something I didn’t. He was an alicorn like Ashura, so when he got the chance to grab me with his magic, he did. He tackled me in the air and we both fell. I tried to struggle out of his grip, but he was stronger than I was. I couldn’t stop us from falling, and I couldn’t stop us from hitting the ground. The bastard positioned us so I would land on the ground and he would land on me. Once I felt the hardness hit me, I heard a huge crack.
“Bones breaking, I bloody love it!” He screamed like a mad man. I fought for consciousness but I was quickly losing it.
“Get off of her you asshole.” I heard before I felt Ashura’s Sider get thrown off of me.
“I thought you were taken care of.” He said to the thing that had tackled him off of me. I tried to keep focuse, but it was hard. I saw a red blur.
“Rainbow, let me take it from here.” I heard a familiar voice. It’s was Twilight’s boyfriend, and with that I let myself drift off.
Ashura Glitch:
Well, never thought I’d ever get to do anything. But now I do, but it wasn’t much. Especially that asshole ZXex wouldn’t help and Rainbow Dash was unconscious. I head-butted the asshole, feeling a little dizzy for a second, but I was much better off than he was.
“I just wish you’d die!” Atom said when his head cleared up. He pushed on my hind legs and forced me to the ground. I was weak from being trapped in the void. The damn place wasn’t made for anything, not even for Siders. But they were more use to it than I was.
“I don’t like to give up.” I said kicking him the face. “Blitz, really could use a hand here.”
“Alright, alright hold your horn.” Blitz said as he made his way over to Rainbow Dash. The guy had life in him, I’d give him that. But it was mostly because of Rainbow Dash. No one really gets how much loved can power someone. Especially here, in a place like this, a good feeling can be more powerful than anyone can ever know.
“You two need to get out of here.” I said pinning Atom to the ground. The guy had been losing his mind more and more. Can’t blame him, I would too if I was him. But he was me, and so where all Siders. They are us, just something we try to ignore.
“How the hell do we do that?” He asked, he was looking at his daughter. In the void, time is different than it is in reality. It’s been a very long time for him in here. A month can be as if 30 years. He’s strong, most crack in 10 years, it only took me 15 to crack.
“You need to, ah – stop that.” I said pushing Atom to the ground again. “You need to remember what it was like to be with your family, you need to feel something stronger than anything you’ve ever felt before. If Rainbow Dash stays here any longer she will be consumed by your Sider.”
“I can’t really remember.” He said, Atom was snarling and foaming at the mouth. He looked rabbid, I couldn’t hold him for much longer. Blitz really needed to hurry his ass up, was it really that hard to remember one stupid little memory?
“Remember how you felt when you first met her?” Blitz’s Sider said with a smile. He was sitting on the other side of Rainbow Dash looking at Blitz. “That really hurt me. But you won’t remember anything, you’ve been here too long, you’re hardly even real anymore.”
“I’m not staying here any longer!” Rainbow Dash’s Sider yelled as she talked Blitz’s Sider.
“Please Daddy you have to remember something. The day I was born, please remember how it felt.” Rainbow’s Sider said trying to sound like Rainbow Dash. It was enough to help Blitz, I saw them disappear soon after.
“Rainbow’s Sider-“
“Please call me Moon.” She said with a smile.
“Moon, I need you to fly as high as you can, and then fly down as fast as you can.” At this point Atom was writhing around bucking to the point where he was able to get free.
“I get ya.” She said with a smile as she flew up into the dark empty sky. Atom had bit me like a mad dog. Blitz’s Sider flew up after Moon. But he wasn’t as fast as she was, while Moon was in the void she was very adept to flying here better than anyone. She was able to leave him in the dust, but not for long, because as fast as she flew up, she came down even faster. She was doing exactly what I wanted her to do, she was going to make a sonic rain-boom. Hopefully it will be enough.
Twilight Sparkle:
I didn’t like having to use that spell on Rainbow again. This time she actually disappeared, but within a few minutes she appeared back. With a surprise as well. Rainbow Blitz was sitting by an unconscious Rainbow Dash.
“We need a doctor, stat.” He said with a sudden panic. In quick panic we got Rainbow Dash to the hospital as quick as we could. So many questions were running through my head, but I couldn’t ask any of them until Rainbow was in better hooves. Once we were there the nurses and staff took one look at me and got into action. Ever since I met Ashura we have been coming here more and more. Nurses and Doctors know it’s an emergency as soon as they see us, so we didn’t have to explain much.
“What in the hay is going on?” Applejack asked once Rainbow was in the emergency room. We made our way to the waiting area, which was empty as usual. Ponyville was a small town, so not many ponies were at the hospital. Being such a small town, the hospital was in no lack of experienced ponies or in lack of supplies.
“She fell from a great height.” Blitz said taking a seat with a sigh.
“Sir, how are you here?” I asked him. He looked at me with a smile.
“Ashura and my daughter’s Sider, they helped us get back here.” He looked at Rainbow Dash. She was sleeping soundly for being in her condition. She could die, but she looked happy. “I have no idea how I’m actually here, and if I had to make a guess I won’t be here long.”
“I hope things will make some sense here soon.” Fluttershy said feeling flustered. It stayed quiet for a very long time in the room. No pony knew what to say, there really wasn’t anything we could say. Everything was so confusing we couldn’t think of any question, didn’t even know if Blitz had any answers. The next thing we knew, we all heard a massive explosion. In a big rush we ran outside.
“Is that a sonic rain-boom?” I asked at the black and white Rain-boom.
Rainbow Blitz:
I watched the black and white rain-boom just like everyone else. But unlike them I knew what its purpose was. Ashura said it was a long shot, but he said if this all turned out how he thinks it will. Than everything will be alright. To me, that’s just fine, something is better than nothing. The colors were starting to evaporate.
“Who in this world could make a sonic rain-boom like that?” Rarity asked looking at all of us. Everyone looked at her with confused looks.
“It’s my daughter’s Sider, she is the only one able to make one like that.” I said still looking at where the sonic rain-boom was. The next thing I saw was my daughter’s Sider flying toward us.
“Get the hell down.” Ashura said running toward us. He dove into prone, I dropped to my stomach and so did everyone else. A large eruption rang through my ears.
“What in the hay was that?” Applejack asked.
“To put it lightly, all hell is breaking loose.” Ashura said looking at Twilight. Twilight smiled at him.
“Ash, you didn’t say this would happen.” I said looking at a huge black void opening in the sky.
“Yeah…well I say a lot of things.” He said giving me a smile. “Come on, this is where all the fun begins.”
“You’re such an idiot.” I said giving him a stern look.
“Hey that’s my idiot.” Twilight perked in. Another eruption blew through the sky. I watched as the whole sky was clouded in darkness.
“Can some pony please explain to me what’s happing here?” Rarity asked.
“Yeah, I would enjoy an explanation.” Pinkie Pie said with her ears flopped to her head.
“I would like one too.” Fluttershy said shyly.
“The only one who could really explain what’s going on is Ashura.” My daughter’s Sider said.
“Moon is right, let me put it this way. I had Moon break a portal into reality, bad thing is…It’s a two way door. So if we don’t stop it, it’s going to consume all of reality and everything will cease to exist.” Ashura said looking at everyone. Everyone-including myself was looking at him with their mouths open, not believing what he was telling us. “Alright…everyone on board…okay…where the hell is Rainbow Dash?”
“She’s in the hospital in critical condition.” I heard myself say.
“Ah hell.” He said walking past me into the hospital. I watched him enter the building, he then soon stuck his head out. “Hey Moon can you come with me?”
“Ah…yeah sure.” She said flying into the hospital. Everyone exchanged confused looks to one another. I saw Ashura’s head pop out of the hospital again.
“Are all of you just going to stand there or you going to come in and help?” All of us exchanged confused looks again. We all headed inside, despite how we were all feeling. Once we were inside Ashura was nowhere in sight. Turns out he had pushed himself into the emergency room and was now in my daughter’s room. We only knew that because of the nurses and staff freaking out.
“Come on everypony, I’m not going to wait forever.” I heard Ashura yell.
“Ash, why are you freaking the hospital staff out and causing such a commotion?” Twilight asked before we walked into the room. “Ash get your hooves off of that.”
“Can’t do Twi, have to get Rainbow flying again.” He said about to unplug everything.
“Get away from her!” I yelled tackling him.
“Blitz, get off of me.” I said trying to struggle out from under me.
“Have ya’ll lost yer mind? She will die if you do crazy things like that.” Applejack interjected.
“Oh good, A.J. Fluttershy, Rarity, I need you to go with Twilight to the library. Twilight, I need you to do what I asked you to do if we were ever in great harm.” Twilight was staying calm. I looked at her and she gave me a nod. She trusted him, and I would have to too.
Rainbow Dash:
I felt at peace, I was walking in a calm and cool state. That was until I was seeing myself. Whenever I closed my eyes I would see my Sider self.
“Dash?” Was that my dad? None of this was making sense.
“You’re almost dead you know.” I looked at my Sider.
“What are you talking about?” I asked her. She smiled at me, odd I think this was the first time I saw her smile.
“You’re almost dead. Tell me, what do you remember?” She asked.
“I remember falling…and dad. That’s it.” I said looking around me. Nothing felt right anymore. Anxiety was starting to set in. My breathing was fast and more rapid.
“Dash, calm down. Would you calm down dammit?” I was pinned down, almost instantly my mind came back to me.
“My Sider? When did you get here, where am I anyway?” I asked her. She gave me a look that told me she was confused.
“Please call me Moon.” She said letting me up. Once I was on my own hooves I looked around. I was at my home, and I saw myself, along with Ashura and Twilight.
“What is that?” I asked going over, I tried to touch Twilight but my hoof went right through her.
“We are inside of your mind, a part of the void has touch it. I have to help you.” I looked at Moon, she was giving me a sympathetic smile.
“So what do I have to do to get out?”
“Learn from the past.” I looked at her like she was insane. Her facial expression didn’t falter. She was serious.
“Okay, when did I step into looney-vile.” I asked walking away.
"Rainbow dash it's been two days since you left your home. Have you even eaten anything? Your skin and bone." I turned around and looked at what was happening. I remember this, this was when my friends came to help me.
"Dash, this isn't healthy." Ashura said trying to force me on the ground with his magic, I resisted by trying to fly away. "Man her wings are strong even without eating." But soon enough I got tired from lack of nutrition to keep my strength up. I was acting like such a baby.
"Daddy says this is healthy! He says it’s good!" I yelled feeling light headed, I was near passing out. I lost my mind…I swear I lost my mind that day. I just missed Daddy.
"Rainbow, what are you talking about?" Twilight asked me. I looked at Moon, she nodded at me.
"He's still here Twilight, he's keeping me strong." Daddy wasn’t there, my father wasn’t the one talking to me. It was his Sider, I was being manipulated. That’s why he left me, he left me to protect me.
“My little Dashie.” I turned around…I was at my childhood home, and there stood before me was my mother. Both my mother and father were watching a little baby me play on the ground.
“No…no. Get me out of here!” I turned around and ran through the first door I saw.
“Dash, why did you run away like that?” Moon asked, I looked at her panting hard. I didn’t run far but I did give myself a panic attack. There was no way I could face that part of my life again…I don’t even remember what happened, but that moment of my life scares me to death.
“I don’t know exactly.” I looked around me. I was at my old school, we were in the halls near my locker. I saw myself as I was when I was a teen. Man that style of hair was cool back then, looking at it now. It was a total mistake. When I closed my locker I noticed what I was seeing. This was a bad memory that I wish I could forget.
“Rainbow Crash, how ya doing.” One of the bullies who picked on me said as he knocked my books out of my bag.
“Hey, not cool guy.” I said staring the guy down. He had a smug smile on his face as he held my stare. At that moment Fluttershy was strolling by, she was humming a song, not really noticing anything around her. She had a little bird perched on her head. It was a blue bird and Fluttershy had named it Blue. It was her pet when she was a teen. Those two went everywhere, at least they use to.
“Oh look its Fluttershy.” One of the other bullies said. Fluttershy wasn’t paying attention, and was really confused when she was tripped by one of the bullies.
“Oh my?” She said pushing herself up a little. Blue was flying just above her head. She looked up and smiled at her little friend. “I’m fine Blue.”
“Clumsy, clumsy Fluttershy. Can hardly fly not to mention walk.” One of them said staring her down. Fluttershy gasped and back down scared, trying to make herself small on the ground.
“Hey cut it out.” I said interjecting.
“What you’re going to stand up for this loser?” The main bully said staring me down again. I stared him down too.
“Make them hurt.” He said knocking me on the head. I went down like a sack of bricks. I was fast not strong, so I really didn’t stand a chance against them. Fluttershy was hopeless, sad to say. I tried to help her, but we were beaten pretty hard that day. Blue had flown up out of reach helplessly watching us getting pummeled. They had to stop when the bell rang and all the students were leaving.
“Get the bird.” I heard the main bully say. Fluttershy was unconscious and I was nearing it too. I watched as the other two flew up into the air to catch Blue. He was smaller than them, so he was faster, but they did catch him. “Next time I won’t hold back.”
“You’re just a stupid jerk.” I spat at him. I watched at Blue was thrown on the ground, his wing was broken when he landed, so when he tried to fly away he couldn’t get anywhere. I watched as the guy stepped on Blue, killing him. “Oh Celestia.”
“You’re avoiding something, and now you’re going to go through things you wish to forget until you face it.” Moon said putting her hoof on my shoulder. I looked at her with tears in my eyes.
“I don’t think I can face that moment in my life.” I sobbed, I heard a bell ring.
“Things will get worse until you face it Dash. If you want to save yourself from torture and save everyone back at home, you will face your past.” Moon had changed, she wasn’t the same as when I first saw her. Is my dad the reason she changed?
“Alright, if this is for my father and everyone back at home. Then I’ll do whatever it takes.” I said walking away from the event. The door I walked out of appeared in front of me. I looked at Moon and she nodded at me. Taking a deep breath I pushed myself through the door. There was my mother and father, my dad looked so young. My mother looked so full of life.
“I’ll get us some snacks.” My mom said as she walked off into the other room. Dad watched her leave with a smile on his face. He looked at me, I was playing with a little stuffed bear and some building blocks. This memory I blocked out of my mind, but it haunts me to this day. The next thing I hear is a thud my dad’s head turns to where my mother just went and asks, “Firefly?” My dad goes rushing into the other room.
I’m still sitting there playing with my toys, not know what’s happening. I heard dad cry out my mother’s name. This makes both me and the little me cry. There is worse things in the world, but this was the worst part of my life. The day both my parents died. I turned away from the event, trying to hold back my tears but it was no use. I couldn’t stop them, I looked at Moon. She was crying too.
“Wake up.” She says with a smile. The next thing I knew everything went black. I felt warm blankets, I heard whispers. I smelt the air around me, I opened my eyes and I saw my father looking at me. I was still crying from the event I witnessed.
“Ouch.” I noticed that a great pain almost everywhere on my body.
“You fell from a long distance. You should be near death.” My father said softly rubbing my face. I looked in the room. Moon and Ashura where standing near my bed.
“Not if Moon and her become one.” Ashura said with a smile.
“Was this your plan from the start?” Moon asked looking at him.
“Not exactly, my plan was to come to Equestria for peace, but trouble followed me…”
“Not your life plan you idiot, your plan to get us out of this mess.” Moon said sounding like she did before. Cruel and mean.
“You’re an imbecile.” Moon said going over to my bedside. “I’m already one with her, I helped her get back into reality. The pain is just a faint memory of it, it’ll pass soon.”
“Fantastic, I do love it when others know what’s going on.” Ash said happily.
“Except, none of us know what’s going on.” My dad said looking at him with worry.
“Twilight does, and soon all this mess will be taken care of and everything can go back to normal.” Ashura said walking out the door. A moment later he stuck his head back in the room. “You all coming or not, I’m going to need all of your help.”
Twilight Sparkle:
My friends and I walked to my Library. I get what Ash is saying, the plan he told me about. That means nothing is as it seems. Not everything is making sense. I opened the door and my friends and I went inside.
“So whats this plan Ash has?” Applejack asked.
“Yes do tell darling.” Rarity interjected.
“Is it fun, does it involve cake?” Pinkie Pie bounced happily.
“Yes please tell us Twilight.” Fluttershy said.
“The plan is to bring my friends back.” I said before charging the spell Ashura taught me. The four of them looked at each other with confused looks. “You four are not my friends.”
“Well that’s just silly.” Rarity said with a huff.
“Have ya gone and lost yer mind?” Applejack asked disgruntled.
“My friends disappeared when Ashura did. They didn't return until I got back, they did not ask Rainbow Dash and me what was happening, what had happened. They care more than this, all of you are fake!” I was still charging up the spell. The four of them looked at each other and then back at me. The four of them had the same smile on their faces.
“Very clever little one.” The four of them said in sync.
“I knew something was up when ZXexian was the one who was running toward us not Ashura.” I said feeling the power flow over me.
“That guy has been a thorn in my side for the longest time. If I could kill him I would.” The four said at the same time. The merge of their voices becoming one. Soon the four of them were engulfed in darkness. The four clouds of darkness merged and became one. It was Blitz’s Sider.
“Twilight now!” I fired the spell and nothing happened.
“What was that supposed to do, hmmm?” He asked, I smiled at him.
“A spell of love can go a long way. But a spell of happiness can make everything even better. That spell sends warmth through everyone’s heart.” I felt the warmth go through me, felt a little dizzy but it was worth it. This was the beginning of the end. I wasn't going down without a fight.
“I’m in the real world now girl. Feelings don’t affect me this time.” He said walking towards me. I stood my ground.
“It wasn’t for you, it was for my friends. To give them strength to fight the idiot who is standing against us.” I said with a smile that was short lived. The Sider had struck me across the face.
“Hey! Pick on someone your own size!” I heard Rainbow’s dad say. I saw him tackled his Sider to the floor. Rainbow Dash, ZXex, and Moon all entered the Library. I had a feeling I was going to have to make repairs on the Library later.
“You idiot, your hardly anything to me anymore. I drained you of everything you had, you’re just a shell of your former self.” The Sider laughed kicking Blitz off of him. Blitz was flown back against the wall. His face was cracked up like broken glass. “This realm will be mine to control, and there isn’t a god damn thing anyone can do to stop me.”
“Rainbow Dash can do something.” ZXex said in his usual tone. He wasn’t pretending to be like Ash anymore. He was himself this time. Rainbow looked at him and was surprised.
“Okay, why are there three Ashuras?” Rainbow asked looking at ZXex.
“There just is, just roll with it Dash.” I heard a familiar voice say. Like a bad movie Ashura made a cheesy dramatic entrance. I felt shame pour over me as I watched the event. How did that guy steal my affection?
“I thought I killed you!” Blitz Sider screamed, he looked murderous as he ran at Ashura. He saw this and hightailed it in the other direction.
“Catch me if you can idgit!” Ashura yelled with a laugh as he ran away. Everyone exchanged awkward and confused looks.
“What can we do to help him?” I asked, ZXex leaned against the wall and looked down.
“There isn’t a thing we can do to help him. He’s just a whisper of what he used to be. The last fighting bit of Blitz, living because of his daughter.” He looked at Blitz with sorrow.
“That can’t be true, can it?” I asked looking at Blitz.
“I already knew that was true, I knew my time here was short.” Blitz said with a laugh. “Been so long since I felt anything.”
“Time in the void is different than it is anywhere else. Time doesn't exist there, one year can be a lifetime or one second. You broke a very long time ago.” I couldn't help but tear up. This was the last time Rainbow will ever see her dad, and she was out helping Ashura. I ran out the door after Rainbow Dash, I could not allow her not to say one last goodbye to her father.
Rainbow Dash:
I flew as fast as I could as soon I got into the air. I had to catch up to Ashura and that Sider. I had to help Ash, he has helped us so much already. He can't do all if this on his own.
"You know it's funny that you’re going to help someone you don't even know." Moon said flying next to me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked trying to build up more speed.
"I'm stuck with you now sweet cheeks." She said with a laugh. "You know little about him."
"Yeah, so what. He's still my friend and friends help each other. He has helped us, so I have to help him." I said determined to catch up.
"He only helps because all if this is his fault. There something bigger going on here and you know it." I finally saw the two. They were on the ground, Ash running and my dad's Sider was close behind. "Be careful Dash."
"I will gut you, and wear your insides for a coat!" My father's Sider yelled in rage.
"You have to catch me first." Ashura said with a chuckle. Ash stopped running and tripped dad's Sider. He fell to the ground sliding a little on impact. I flew down next to Ashura. He looked at me with a smile.
"Man I'm out of shape, really need stop writing and get some exercise." He said in a huff. My dad's Sider got up and stayed where he was to catch his breath. "Don't feel so good being in reality."
"I will get you!" He yelled stumbling on his hooves.
"Now, now getting light headed. You should breath first, yell later after you heart rate has gone down." Ash said with another laugh.
"I still have power dammit." A rift opened up around him. I saw what looked like shadow coming from the rift. "I should have done this in the first place!"
"Oh well shit. Dashie?" Ash asked looking at me. I looked at him and then back at the rift, and then back to him. "Run!" Both of us turn tailed and ran. I wasn't sure the hell was going on, but I was scared. Really, really scared.
"What's happening?" I asked as we ran away from the sight.
"Oh nothing, exactly what I want to happen." He said with a smile. When he winked at me I knew he had something planned. I just didn't know what, at least yet. In the distance I saw Twilight running in our direction. "Hi Hun, we need to run!"
"What?" Twilight stopped, then I heard a huge explosion.
"Run!" Both Ash and I said. Twilight turned the other way and ran, faster than both of us. I guess when she was told to run she runs.
"Stop!" Ashura said before she stopped, skidding before actually stopping. I stopped almost falling down, Twilight actually fell down. "Now is our chance!" He said, a large amount of wind seemed to pick up, it was really hard to hear.
"What?" I asked him. He gave me an irritated look.
"Now is our chance! You and Moon have to make a Sonic Rain-Boom directly at the void!" Ashura shouted loud enough for me to hear. Twilight went up to him, giving him a hug. She really missed him.
"Alright!" Maybe I'll meet someone like that one day. Someone for me, someone I can have all to my own. Someone who will love me. "Daddy, I love you!"
"Ready?" Moon shouted standing by my side. I looked at her, my Sider is helping me. Did Ashura know this would happen, did he know all that was going to happen? I nodded and the two of us took off into the sky. We flew side by side, I guess I was stuck with her. Although Moon was already a part of me. I grabbed her hoof, and in return she grabbed mine. "Together?"
"Together!" We shot down generating as much speed as we could. My heart was going a mile a minute. I was so scared as I looked at the darkness we were about to plunge into. "Here goes everything!"
ZXexian:
All things in this world play a part. Following the pattern that fate has set out for them. They blindly follow this path with no choice, because it is the perfect path for them. But some things are fixed and some things are flexible. Life and Death are both, some have to die and others can get lucky. Rainbow Dash's story has had its moments of fixed and flexible situations.
I watched as the two now bound beings plunge into the darkness. Blindly following Ashura's guidance, trusting him. Smart and foolish of them to do so. All he has to do to stop this is to follow his fate. A selfish one that idiot is, risking all life to escape his fate. But he has to follow the path he set himself out for. Rainbow Dash will be stuck with another entity inside of her, another personality that she and a select few can see.
All of their friends have been touched by the void. Their paths are laid out for them. They will follow them by making their choices. Because fate is funny like that, lets you choose your path. But fate will always hold the truth of what lies ahead. Not all things that lie ahead are pleasant. Reader, I know you are there. I wish to say just one thing to you.
There is always a better path you can follow. Some that seem bad may lead to a very good thing, and some good may lead to bad. 'Trust what you need and want. To make your dreams a reality you have to chase them first.'
I watched Rainbow Dash's dad die. He has a message for her, and I must deliver it. If I don't, this story may not have the ending you think it will. The explosion of color was my Que. I waited a few seconds, watching the bright colors expand. It was a magnificent sight. Too bad not many will remember it. I started to walk toward the void.
Rainbow Dash:
My whole body was on fire. I felt cold and wet. I forced my eyes opened and saw I was floating in water. No wait, I was standing on water. I looked around and I saw Moon unconscious not far from me.
"Now you’re stuck, you trapped us here!" I heard my father's Sider yell in anger.
"If it means you can't do anymore harm, then that's just fine.” I smiled feeling a little accomplishment, but I was worried. I was hoping Ashura had a plan to get me back. I was really hoping.
“No, you don’t get it stupid girl! There is no way out of here, this place doesn’t exist. We will fade from existence soon enough.” My father’s Sider sat down looking at the darkness above. He kicked at the water below us.
“It doesn’t matter, as long as you can’t harm anyone anymore, then I don’t care what happens to me.” I said still hoping there was a plan. Ashura had to have a plan, he wouldn’t just send me in here blind with no plan right?
“Your friends are here too, that idiot forgot about your friends. I took them from reality, they are in prison inside the void your father was in. They will fade just like we will.” My dad’s Sider said with a laugh. “That’s the best thing out of this, the only good thing.”
“No! Ashura will get me out of here! My friends too!” I yelled at him furious. I felt Moon put her hoof on my shoulder. I looked at her, and he look told me what he was saying was true. Every bit of hope I had died right then and there.
“See, you’re stuck here.” He said looking down. I wasn’t sure what to think. How could Ashura do this, send me in without giving me a choice. I guess it is my fault, I could have stopped and asked or something.
“Nah your good Hun.” I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around and saw a black pony with a fedora. “Want to leave?”
“Ash?” I asked, the pony looked up and it wasn’t Ashura.
“Nope, name is ZXexian. I’m here to help you help yourself.” He said with a serious face. His voice changed from before.
“You’re then one we thought was Ashura at first.” He nodded his head and offered me a smile. My father’s Sider scowled. ZXex’s smile fell into a frown.
“That fucking name Ashura. Drives me god damn insane.” The Sider complained, I rolled my eyes at him.
“What exactly has Ashura done to you, or better yet what has anyone done to you?” I asked him, he looked at me and then looked away.
“I don’t need to explain myself to you.”
“He’s a Sider Rainbow Dash, Siders normally want only death and destruction of everything because they are envious of the beings they unwilling follow. They only no pain and suffering, some say their inferior beings. They don’t normally act in reality.” ZXexian said looking at my father’s Sider with a curious look. Wasn’t quite sure how to describe it.
“Hey, standing right here!” Moon shouted looking insulted.
“My apologize, if it helps I’m not one of them. Because I know the truth of a Sider.”
“He has my friends.” I said looking at ZXex with a worried look. He smiled at me and it took me back a little. Why would he smile at that?
“No, he doesn’t. That was a lie hun, one last thing a cold blinded Sider can do to cause harm to another. A Sider like him cannot become what Moon is. He’s lost and blind, he is here for a reason. Ashura was quite an idiot, but he did know what to do.”
“He said I would fade from reality, is that true?” He smiled at me and shook his head. A great feeling of relief engulfed my whole being. Ashura did have a plan, he didn’t send me in blind. I couldn’t help but smile.
“But there is a problem Rainbow Dash.” My smile disappeared from my face. Problems are never a good sign. He looked at my father’s Sider. “He knows this is the brink of his insanity, it’s true he will fade from existence, but what he will leave behind is far worse than what he was before. A being that could destroy every thread of reality. Leaving nothing in its wake.”
“Is there a way to stop it?” I asked looking at Moon with worry. She had the same exact look I had.
“Yes, but I can’t tell you that. Your friend Twilight can help you with that. All I can do now is get you out of here.” ZXex said with a smile.
“What will be left behind, will it happen if I don’t leave?” I heard myself ask. Wasn’t quite sure why I asked that, but I wanted to know, even if I didn’t as well.
“The process will take longer for it to happen. But no matter what it will happen, if that happens it will leave no chance for anything to survive. We don’t really have choice Rainbow Dash, you have to leave.” I had a feeling he was going to say that. I wish there was a way for this not to happen, but I guess I don’t have a choice.
“How to I get out, and will Moon come with me? I will not leave her here, I don’t abandon my friends.”
“She is a part of you, there is no place she won’t go with you.” ZXexian smiled at the two of us.
“Okay good, so how do we leave?”
“I just have to keep a promise. Rainbow Dash and Moon, Rainbow Blitz is dead and he will not be coming back in any shape or form.” I felt a pain shoot through my whole body. “But he did have a message for you.” I had tears in my eyes that were blinding me.
“What… what is it?” I asked wiping away the tears.
“Thank you ZXexian.” I said as everything went white.
Twilight Sparkle:
“Twilight, I’m sure something is bound to happen. Ouch that really hurt.” Ashura said rubbing his shoulder after I had a tantrum attack on him when he told me he wasn’t sure if Rainbow was dead or alive. I couldn’t stop the tears from coming. I just watched the direction the black void was, just waiting for something, anything to happen.
“How could you send her in like that!” It may have sounded like a question but it really wasn’t. My boyfriend sent one of my best friends into immediate danger with no second thought. All of my friends were missing, for all I knew they could be dead. “Dammit Ash!”
“I’m sorry Twilight, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. But it was the only way, Rainbow Dash had to be the one to do it. It was a fixed, I didn’t have a choice.” He said trying to comfort me. I pushed him away, I felt so angry and so sad. I fell to the ground crying feeling all of my strength leave my body.
“Why is this happening?” I wailed out feeling defeated, all of my friends were gone. The next thing I heard; it was like thunder but much stronger. I looked up and a beam of light was shooting from the ground. The next thing that came out was a huge immense Sonic Rain-boom. That gave me hope, and my heart jumped a few beats when I saw Rainbow and Moon flying together in the air.
“See I told you they were fine.” I heard Ash say. I turned around and hugged the idiot.
“You really are an idiot.” I said with a sniff as I hugged him tighter. “And that is your last I told you so.”
“You’d think, but I doubt it.” He said with a chuckle. Rainbow Dash and Moon flew over to where we were and landed a few feet from us. I ran up to her as quick as I could and tackle hugged the mare.
“I’m so glad you’re alright!” I shouted in glee. The three of us embraced in a hug. I still had tears in my eyes, but instead of them being from sadness and anger they were from happiness and relief.
“Daddy is dead.” Rainbow said with a sad smile. I nodded my head and she still smiled. She turned and looked back at where she flew from. Something didn’t feel right, something felt off.
“When is it going to happen?” Moon asked, Rainbow looked at her and shook her head.
“I have no idea, could be anytime.” She said looking back to where she was before.
“I’m sorry about that Rainbow. I’m glad you made it out fine.” Ashura said, Rainbow Dash looked at him with a smile.
“Don’t play coy with me, you knew I was going to be fine.” She said with a smile and a wink.
“Try telling Twilight that, she nearly tore my arm off of my body.” He said with a chuckle.
“You deserved it.” I said tilting my chin up acting a little like Rarity.
“Wait? You said something is going to happen?” Ash asked Moon. Moon nodded her head and then I felt my whole world shake. I mean literally shake, I lost my balance and fell to the ground where the shaking continued.
“This world will burn!” I heard a dark evil voice screech with a large evil laugh that followed. I watched as a huge dark explosion erupted about twenty meters from where we were standing. The darkness shot out and covered everything.
“Dammit, what is it with this damn Sider!” I heard Ashura yell at he ran toward the explosion.
“Ashura you damn idiot!” I yelled at him as he disappeared.
“What I’m standing right here.” I looked at who said that and he was right. He didn’t move, he was near me, making sure I was fine.
“We have to stop him!” I heard Rainbow yell. It was hard to hear anything with all the wild wind and the world shaking. It felt like the whole world was falling apart.
“Whats going on! Let me out of here, please someone help!” I heard Ashura yell. But when I looked at him he was still by my side. He was looking at me with worry, he had a hoof on his Fedora so it wouldn’t blow away. “Someone please help!”
“I have to end this now!” I heard Rainbow yell before she ran toward the explosion. Moon followed shortly behind her.
“I just want to go home.” I looked at Ashura and his eyes were not his normal color red. They were a dark blue. Once he blinked they were red again. I looked around me and I saw a bunch of shadows. Everything felt frozen, like time had stood still.
“Twilight, we need to stay here. We have to wait for Rainbow to return.” This time it was actually Ashura talking.
“I will never give up!” Again it sounded like Ashura but his mouth didn’t move to the words I was hearing.
“Just stay calm and let Rainbow Dash handle this, this is her story. She is the only one who can finish it.” He always talked like that and I never understand why. I grabbed the idiot and kissed him. Once the kiss was broken we hugged one another waiting. I still kept hearing Ashura’s voice the entire time the darkness surrounded us.
A Picnic Is All We Needed

Stories play their role in all aspects of life. The start may or may not grip you, it may not excite you. The adventure may or may not be thrilling, sad, tragic, funny, etc. It’s all the adventure of it that gets everyone. But the endings, they are is what really gets everyone. The ending can be good or bad, most are bad. I watched the beginning with Twilight Sparkle first meeting Ashura Glitch. I watched her trials that she had faced. She was scared, but she passed all her trials. I watched Rainbow Dash grow up without a mother or a father.
The ending is one of the most important part of anything. All things end, it is an inevitable fact that no one can ever change. But an ending never truly ever has to be a complete end. I have watched everything that has happened. Rainbow Dash has lost something, something that makes her different from what she used to be. She has forgotten something she cannot live without. She isn’t the same Rainbow as she was before. In ways, she is out of character. But her new friend Moon, her own Sider has what she is missing.
The choice is hers though, nothing can make someone choose a path to follow. The one who is choosing must chose, or the default will be the result. I’m waiting patiently for the right time. So this story has the right ending it should. Not everything is set in stone, and if it is, stone can be broken. Nothing is ever permanent, but there are some things that are unfortunately. Things fade away, things change. A choice and a path is what determines what lies ahead.
“Dammit Rainbow Dash, slow down!” Moon yelled as she flew after the frantic colorful pegasus. I have to chuckle at this, their roles have switched. Or at least it seems that way anyhow. The truth will be shown soon enough.
“No way, I’m going to take this bastard out!” Rainbow Dash said as she flapped her wings even harder. The wind that was pushing back on her took a great deal of strength the fly against. But she was able too, at least for a time.
“Rainbow Dash! You have to slow down now!” Moon yelled as she was left behind, but her words were taken by the wind. Rainbow didn’t hear nor would she listen. She kept trying to fly faster and faster. Soon enough the next thing Moon saw was her twirl in the air violently and soon fall. Moon dove down as fast as she could, she was able to catch the careless mare. “Dammit, I told you to slow down. This is a battle that we have to win, we can’t go at it carelessly.”
“I need all of this to stop!” Rainbow yelled trying to take off into the air again.
“This world will burn! Everything will die!” The monstrous being bellowed loudly as it laughed. A white flash engulfed the two mares.
“Dashie, are you alright?” Firefly asked her daughter. Rainbow blinked a few times confused beyond belief. She looked around and there sat her mom, dad, and little brother at the dinner table. Firefly was looking at her with worry. The whole site was funny, awkward for them though.
“What? What just happened?’ Rainbow Dash asked confused, she looked around. It was their old home they use to live in. The colorful mare couldn’t believe what she was seeing, or feeling.
“What do you mean Dash? Quite being dumb.” Her little brother said as he stuck his tongue at her. Firefly gave him a stern look and so did Blitz.
“Jolt, be nice to your sister. She is probably just tired from her Wonderbolt Training.” Rainbow looked at all of them shocked. This life she realized is what she had always wished for. A smile soon started to creep on her face as her mind became clouded.
“I’m fine, it’s alright now.” She said with a large smile. Firefly smiled at her daughter and so did Blitz. Jolt stuck his tongue out at her again. “Don’t worry buddy I’ll get you later for that.” At that moment Jolt sucked his tongue back in his mouth and avoided Dash’s stare.
“Now get along, this is family time.” Blitz said with irritation.
“It’s a lie!” Moon’s voice yelled echoing around the room. It made Rainbow jump, but everyone else didn’t seem fazed. They just sat there and ate their meal; Rainbow did the same and soon enough a conversation was started to take her mind off of the voice. The night was relaxing, a little family time. Dash and Jolt playing a game that ended in a fight. But all through that time Rainbow couldn’t feel at ease.
“Rainbow please look at me.” It sounded like Moon again, but it sounded different; plus when she looked around she couldn’t see her. She shook the thought out of her head, heading up to her room. She yawned in responds to the time of night. She took a long relaxing shower, let herself relax by lying in her warm comfy bed.
“Dash.” A voice said followed by a knock on her window. She looked at the pegasus with confusion. The stallion hovered just outside the window. She went over and opened it for him, he crept in trying to be as quiet as he could.
“What are you doing here?” She asked the stallion. He looked at her with confusion.
“You’re the one who said I should come over.” She had no idea what he was talking about. But her face was a clear result of what she thought of the guy. Good looking, and a probably a trouble maker, but a good guy at heart.
“Mom and Dad re still awake.” She said whispering, she was lying to him. Probably because she felt awkward about the situation. I couldn’t help but laugh, boy toy wasn’t going to have any fun.
“Never stopped us before.” He said with a chuckle. He kissed her on the cheek. She blushed from the contact, which showed she was becoming less like her actual self.
“Tonight is different, sorry.” Rainbow said and return she got a look of disappointment. But being the good guy he was he left leaving with a kiss. “What just happened?”
“Rainbow Dash, you need to listen to me!” Moon yelled, this time Rainbow could see her.
“Moon?” She asked squinting to see the faded image of her friend. The mare smiled and sighed with relief.
“Finally, look you need to snap out of it, or you’re going to become what I was.” She said franticly looking around. “Please you need to come back to reality!”
“But this is my reality, this is all I ever wanted.” Moon screamed before she ran in the opposite direction as Rainbow Dash, fazing into the wall like a ghost. Rainbow shook the event from her head and laid in her bed once again. Her mind clouded up and she forgot all about what Moon said. She fell into a deep sleep afterwords, finally feeling at peace. When she awoke, her day began. First it was off to the Wonderbolts Academy for her personal lessons with Spitfire and Sorin. Then it was off to her part time job, then to pick up her brother from school.
Her whole day was exactly what she had wished for when she was growing up. But something dug at the back of her mind that wouldn’t settle. “Please you need to come back to reality.”
“No this is my life, this is everything I ever wanted. She said aloud, Jolt looked at her with confusion and then giggled.
“Stop talking to yourself stupid.” He said before continuing to play with his little toy of one of the Wonderbolts.
“Shut up brat.” Rainbow said in return. She felt anger build up in her. At first it scared her, but it soon cooled down. His reply was him sticking his tongue out at her and then threating to tell their mother on her.
“This isn’t your life! Please I can’t do this on my own!” Rainbow looked around frantically trying to find the voice she heard. The one that has been bugging her through all of this. But who she was searching for was nowhere to be found. When she looked back at her brother she jumped in a fright. His whole features changed, his eyes had turned black and his skin was like a corpse. Rainbow gasped and ran out of the room.
“That can’t have just happened.” Rainbow said to herself trying to make sense of what just happened. But the picture was burned into her head. Anxiety started to take over her mind. Her breathing had become fast paced and she was feeling light headed.
“Please Rainbow!” Rainbow’s head was spinning faster and faster before a sick feeling took over. The picture was burned into her head, anxiety started to take over her mind.
"This isn't your life Rainbow Dash!" Rainbow's head was spinning. A sick feeling over took her stomach. She made it to the bathroom before her lunch had come back up into her throat. "Please I'm only trying to help you!"
"I just wanted a family." Rainbow said starting to cry. She couldn't help it, all the feelings she has had was what she always wished for.
"That little colt is not your brother. Please Rainbow you have to wake up." She couldn't help but cry. This life is what she always wanted. But it wasn't her life she could have. Rainbow rubbed her eyes and moved to the mirror. She saw herself, and she didn't look at all like herself. In fact her fur was a darker color and her eyes were turning darker as well. "If this keeps up, there is no going back!"
"Alright! I get it now, just let me do one last thing." She said before going into the room where her deformed brother was playing. His features had returned to normal, looking like a normal pony again. She went up to him and hugged him. He gasped and complained, telling her to let go. "Bye Jolt, I'm going to miss you, mom, and daddy."
"Dashie, please don't go." Jolt responded sounding sad. It stung her to let go of him. She always wanted a little brother. But this wasn't her life, not in the slightest. Once she had come to that she left the world that blinded her for a short time. Little Rainbow Dash had to grow up on her own. Who she became is who she has to be.
Who is Rainbow Dash exactly? She is talented, strong willed, and a great friend. A family is all she ever wanted; blinded by the things we want we start to lose who we are. I wonder if Rainbow can find herself again. She left her home she had wished for and the world outside was eerily dark. Moon stood on the other side of the door.
"Please Dash, we need to go." She pleaded, she wasn't able to enter. The only thing she was able to do was plea to the unsure Rainbow Dash. She looked back at her brother who sat there with begging eyes.
"Please don't go." He pleaded she couldn't hold back the tears. She took in a breath and stepped through the door. Moon hugged the crying saddened Rainbow Dash. Soon the crying stopped, and Rainbow was able to look at Moon. Her fur had changed color. It was more of a snowy white color. Here eye color was now black and her mane were a bright neon version of Rainbow's.
"I'm so glad to see you." She said sounding like she could cry. Something change in Moon. She was softer, calmer. Rainbow wasn't sure what to think.
"What's going on?" She asked rubbing her eyes. Moon smiled at her friend.
"I found who I am, and now you have to remember who you are." Her black eyes held a great deal of happiness. Rainbow smiled at her. But she was scared, thoughts rang through her mind. How did I forget something? Was the one question that rang trough her mind? "Your father's Sider is waiting, you have to go and help him."
"Help him? What! Why would I help someone that wants to destroy everything?" She asked shocked and confused. It didn't make sense to help something that only wanted death for everything.
"Because he is a part of your father." Rainbow nodded and followed Moon. The abyss of darkness never seemed to end. It was almost like being in the void she had visited before to see her father.
"How much farther?" Moon looked back at her and smiled.
"Depends, are you truly ready to see him?" Rainbow thought about this for a little. Yeah she was sure, but there was a little doubt that hung in her mind.
"Yes, I'm ready." She said and the darkness faded. Soon they were in a field full of trees and flowers. Rainbow looked around at the beautiful site. Soon she saw somepony, and she knew who it was too. She ran towards the mare that she recognized. Moon watched with a smile as she ran ahead.
"Dashie mine." The mare said turning to look at Rainbow Dash.
"M-mom?" She asked unsure of what was happening.
"Yes, it’s me my little one." She said offering a smile. Rainbow had doubt in her mind. This could be another trick. Moon walked up to them.
"This isn't a trick Dash. I promise you it's not." She said, and Rainbow Dash believed her. With a large smile she hugged her mother Firefly Dash.
"I'm so happy to see you." Rainbow said with tears in her eyes.
"I'm glad to see you too, but you have to let me go." This shocked Rainbow Dash to no end.
"Dashie." Rainbow looked over and saw her father standing just a little distance from where they were. "You need to let both of us go."
"What's going on?" Rainbow asked, she looked at Moon and all she offered was a light smile.
"You need to let them go. You have to be who you are and not what you wished you were." Rainbow didn't want to hear this, any of this.
"She is right dear. You have held onto us for a very long time. To stop all of this you have to let us go." Firefly said to her daughter.
"You’re not actually my parents are you?" All three of them nodded. Rainbows head dropped.
"We are what's trapped here that holds Moon and yourself here. We keep the Sider you are fighting alive." Her father said with sincere eyes.
"It was smart, it took what was important to you. Bonded with you, as long as you hold into all of this. It will never end." Her mother said looking at Rainbow's father.
"They are here because your parents loved you, this is the last message from them. The message ZXexian tried to warn you about. It helped, but it wasn't enough." Moon said, Rainbow looked at her mother and father. All she ever wanted was a family. A mother to care for her, a father to protect her. She felt like a filly as she wanted to cry again.
"Why couldn't this have happened before? All of this could have been avoided." Rainbow said wanting to cry. "But I guess I didn't want to accept that my family was gone."
"But they aren't gone Rainbow. You have family, your friends are your family. Blood isn't the only thing that determines who family is." Moon said with a smile. Rainbow Dash looked at what was left of her mother and father.
"It's okay dear, we are in a better place." Her mother said offering a smile.
"We will see each other again. Trust me on that Dashie." Her father said with a smile.
"The last message your friend Twilight let you see." Moon said as Rainbow's parents faded away. Tears were brought to her eyes, she was going to accept they were gone. But she was never going to forget who they were. "Twilight summoned a spell for you to see this."
"That idiot Ashura is smart. Always knows what to do, I'm sure he has his secrets. But he won't let anything happen to anyone. I trust him because I trust Twilight and I trust my friends. I need to save them Moon." The two mares embraced in a short needed hug.
"Don't worry Dashie, you will." Everything went white and Rainbow found herself not far from Fluttershy's cottage. With a smile she ran towards her friend's house. She saw Fluttershy step out of her cottage looking dazed and confused.
"Fluttershy! I'm so glad you're okay!" She yelled before tackle hugging her friend into the air.
"I'm glad to see you too Rainbow. Are you okay, you’re not acting like yourself?" Fluttershy said quietly. The two landed and Rainbow smiled feeling a little embarrassed.
"I'm just fine, just having a good day is all." After that the two mares headed back to Twilight's library where they found the rest of her friends. All of them but Rainbow, Twilight and Ashura would remember what happened. The rest of them were dazed and confused but that soon changed.
"You know there is a better way of having this go." I heard, turning around I saw Moon and ZXexian standing not far from me.
"I do not intercept in the affairs of Ashura. He does as he wills, no matter what, the ending will be the same." I said to them.
"I hate you." ZXex said with a sigh.
"I know you do, but you don't have a choice in the matter. The path I laid out is what must happen." I said walking a little away from them.
"I'm just glade Rainbow Blitz can finally rest." Moon said in a cheery tone.
"Moon, you have to watch out for Rainbow Dash. Things are just beginning." ZXexian said to the snowy white mare. I scoffed at her, she looked at me confused.
"Problem?" She asked me for once sounding irritated.
"Who do you think you are exactly? Huh Moon?" I asked the stupid Mare.
"I'm Rainbow Dash's Sider that has saw a bigger picture." She said with a crude smile.
"Tell me what it's like to be a Sider then?" I asked her, and a look of confusion spread on her face.
"I-I don't remember." She said shocked. I laughed at her, she was a stupid girl.
"You are a ghost of what Rainbow left behind. The cheery happy shit you are portraying is what she would have become if she had the life she wished for. Her Sider was at the heart of it all when her father died. It took control and knew how to manipulate Rainbow Dash." This shocked the mare.
"But...but I remember everything that happened." I looked at ZXex and he looked just as shocked as she was.
"What are you talking about, there are all kinds of Siders. I've met some that have turned good by my own doing." He said with an angry tone.
"A Sider can only bond with the being it belongs too, at times a being is formed that is what Is left of what caused great power in a Sider. That Sider wasn't her father's, it was her own. This Moon is just a damn puppet, a free being of its own now. You will never die until the thing you came from dies or you are killed. You will never know love, just a damn shell that wonders in the shadow of the original, you are what I call a Fera."
"Shut up!" Moon yelled, both of them looked ill. But I didn't care, I was already done with my part. I just want all of this to end, but I'm just a ghost of what will happen. A fucking fera.
"I'm sorry Moon." I laughed at ZXex, for everything he has been through he is utterly stupid.
"You’re a Fera too ZXexian, don't lie to yourself. Only existing to serve a higher purpose." His head hung low. What a fool he is trying to keep secrets. That Ashura ZXexian Glitch is the biggest fool of them all. "I'm done here, I'm sick of talking. This story is nearing its end. I'll be waiting for the end of it all. You know what will happen ZXex, and I suggest finding that Fera of Twilight's."
Rainbow Dash:
A few days had pasted and everything went back to normal. I saw Moon from time to time, apparently she had a life of her own now. Synith and she became good friends, I was happy to see that. Friends were always the best, and Synith wasn't that bad at all. I had two new fly buddies. Although Moon wasn't much for racing, but Synith. Now that mare was fast, but not as fast as me. I was still the fastest, coolest mare in all of Equestria.
Things really cooled down, no pony but Moon, Twilight, Ashura, and I remembered what happened with the whole Sider business. Synith was told about it by Ashura and she believed every word. There are some serious question I had, but I didn't know if I should ask, or if I should even ask. So I just kept them to myself.
"Are you alright?" Twilight asked me. I turned to her with a smile.
"I'm always alright, it’s me Twilight.” I said with a laugh. Saying that felt good. Everything was starting to get back to normal.
"Well I'm just happy we can have this time." She said with a smile.
"Yeah no kidding." Ashura said while loading up a sandwich with a lot of food we brought. Some of those things really didn't seem to fit on a sandwich, but it didn't faze Ash.
"Stop that, all of this is supposed to be for everyone." Twilight scolded him. The stallion took a bite from the sandwich and smiled.
"Come on Twi we have plenty." He said with a half full mouth.
"Yeah Twilight, monster sandwiches for everyone!" Pinkie yelled happily as she copied Ashura.
"Oh Celestia, it scares me when you two act the same." Twilight said placing her hoof on her head feeling frustrated.
"You guys need to relax, this is a picnic after all." Rarity said as she laid back on her love seat she 'had' to bring.
"Yeah, I agree with Rarity." Fluttershy said with a quiet voice, drinking from a juice box.
"Relaxation." Applejack said laying down on the big blanket be brought. Tipping her hat over her eyes to keep the light off her face.
"Game time!" Synith yelled as she bounced a ball into the air. Moon smiled at her new friend from her spot in the grass under a nearby tree.
"No way Synith, we eat first, then play." Twilight's brother Shining Armor said trying to get some of the food from Ashura and Pinkie. "Would you two share?"
"Calm down dear." Princess Cadence said to her husband. She chuckled at him as the two frantic eaters kept the food to them. But they did share, at least after a little goofing around.
"Hi daddy, hi mommy." I said to my parent's grave stones. Everyone got quiet. "Told you we'd have a picnic together." I said with tears in my eyes. The tears were both of sadness and of joy. I was sad that both my parents were gone, but I was happy that I had so many friends here with me. "That's all we ever needed was a picnic."
"I hear that!" Ashura yelled taking another bite from his sandwich. Pinkie did the same and I couldn't help but laugh. Everything went back to normal. Finally, everything felt right again. I got into my hooves and flew as fast as so could at Synith.
"I'm so much faster!" I said taking off with a head start.
"You are so not!" Synith yelled as she took off after me.
