The Cure For Complacency
This is a strange story. It starts with six middles and the beginning is the ending.
"I think that the tendency for most people is to fall back on a comic interpretation of things — because things are so sad, so terrible. If you didn't laugh you'd kill yourself. But the truth of the matter is that existence in general is very very tragic, very very sad, very brutal and very unhappy." ~Woody Allen
The story opens with six shorts — which are horror snapshots on their own and seem completely disjoint, but it comes together at the end to make its point. Each chapter of this will be good as a standalone if you've read the earlier ones. The sequence and perspective change a lot, but it is all leading somewhere.
