Chapters Twilight Sparkle walked around her liberary. The lavender unicorn started to collect a few books for her new magic school. Her purple and pink hair was tied in a pony tail and she had her reading glasses on. "Spike, do you think you could find my book on advanced spells?" she asked. "Here it is" the purple dragon said. Spike had a life with Rarity, but he still worked with Twilight in the library. He was much larger then he when he and Twilight first came to Ponyville and he had grown light green wings.
"Thanks Spike! What would I do without you?" Twilight smiled useing her pink magic aura to pick up the book in Spike's claws. "If you want, you can go home with Rarity" "Are you sure Twi? You don't need any more help?" Spike asked. "I'm fine, really. You should go!" Twilight said nudging her friend. "Thanks Twi." Spike said heading for the door.
All of a sudden, the dragon stopped a few feet from Twilight. He belched a green flame. The fire transformed into a letter. "Oh! A letter from Princess Celestia. I wonder what she wants to tell me at this time?" she said her pink aura levitating the letter. As Twilight Sparkle read the letter, her eyes widened. Her aura dissapered and the letter dropped to the floor. "What is it Twilight! What's wrong" Spike asked. Twilight was silent, she only whispered, " This is terrible.........". "What is?!" Spike asked curiously.
Twilight tried to calm down, but it was really hard to. " The Princess has....i-informed m-me.....that there is a threat of.....(gulp) ......z-zombies" she stuttered. "ZOMBIES!?!?" Spike yelled. "I need to get home now!!!!!" "I know, but we have to get the girls. I have no idea where they are now......" Twilight trailed off. "Well, you know where Rarity is, and Pinkie Pie lives at Sugar Cube Corner. Apple Jack and Fluttershy live at Sweet Apple Aceres, and Rainbow Dash lives in Cloudsdale." Spike said.
Twilight stared at him for a bit and then said, "I guess then you should go to Rarity" She said. "Okay" Spike said flying out the door. Twilight ran out and yelled, "Tell Rarity come back to the liberary. I'll start writing letters to the rest of the ponies. Hurry" "I will Twi." Spike said flying off. Twilight went back into the liberary and sat down and began her warnings.

Spike landed in front of a large house. He went inside and found two dragon-ponies coming to meet him. "Hi dad! Your home late. What's the occasion?" one said. "Um...no reason Sapphire." Spike said trying not to say anything about the zombies. "You seem strange dad, what's going on?" the other one questioned. "Nothing Jr., I'm fine......where's your mom?" "In her office" Sapphire said before going back to play with her brother.
Spike entered Rarity's office where she designs clothes. "Hello Spike, rough day in the library I assume?" the white mare asked turning from her work. "Yes........ listen Rarity, I need to tell you something" the dragon sighed. "Of course!" Rarity said, her blue magic aura putting down a sewing needle. "Ok, please stay calm when I tell you this, Equestria is in danger, and it's being attacked by zombies" Spike said quietly. Rarity was quiet for several seconds, and then she started to laugh. "Honestly Spike, you have spent way to much time reading those books at Twilights house." she said. Spikes eyes showed that he was dead serious. Rarity stopped laughing. She hung her head in guilt for denying him. She knew that he just wanted to protect the family.
Spike continued, "Twilight got a letter from the princess telling her about the threat. We must get to the library at once." "Yes Spike, but what about the kids?" Rarity said with worry. "Don't worry, they will stay safe at the library." Spike said trying to calm her down. Rarity thought for several moments, then finally said, "Alright Spike, we shall leave at once." Rarity said.
"I need to go tell Jr. and Sapphire" Spike said heading for the office door. The two opened the door and stopped. Their two fillies were waiting at their door. Their eyes were wide. Spike sighed. "Have you two been listening?" They both nodded silently. "Ok guys, let's head for Twilight's house. Stay close by and hurry" Rarity said heading outside. The four quickly ran to Twilight's house. Ponyville was only safe for a very short time, but in Cloudsdale, the appocolipse had just begun.
Rainbow Dash was awoken by the sound of an alarm. "What the hoof was that?" she said still half asleep. A navy pegasus calmly walked over. "It's okay, you should go back to sleep" he said quietly. Rainbow Dash laid over on her side. "What was it?" she said. "Why was the alarm going off?" "I don't really know, but I'm guessing that the weather factory lost control of too many clouds. It looks as if a big storm is going to happen" the stallion said looking out the window. "Alright. Thanks Soarin" Rainbow Dash yawned. "No problem." Soarin said softly nuzzling her side. "Just let me know if you need anything". "We will." Rainbow Dash said. She and Soarin were both expecting a foal very soon.
Rainbow Dash heard the alarm go off again. This time she got up and looked out the window. "Soarin, i don't think this is a weather alert..." she said. Soarin came to her side. "Hmmm, maybe not. I might as well take a look to see what's going on" he said. "Okay. I'll come too" Rainbow Dash announced. Soarin told her she should stay, but she insisted on coming.
There wern't many ponies out. The ones that were out were there the same reason Rainbow Dash and Soarin were. The cyan pegasus walked over to another pony. "Hey, why is the alarm going off?" she said. The hot pink pegasus said, "I'm not sure".
Everypony was quiet. Almost too quiet.
The silence was broken by a loud scream. A green pegasus came flying past. Rainbow Dash looked to see what she was running from. Her jaw dropped at the sight. A couple meters away, were hundreds of pegasi zombies. "Run Ranbow Dash!" Soarin yelled. "No! I can't leave Cloudsdale like this!" she said. "RUN!!" Soarin screamed. Rainbow Dash galloped quickly away. She flew as fast as she could untill she was out of Cloudsdale. She flew out of the sky just as the zombies started flying. Thankfully, none of them noticed Rainbow Dash leave.
She looked back up to the floating city. Soarin was no where to be seen. She was about to fly back up to find him, but he flew down from Cloudsdale just as quick as she did. It was a relief that they were part of the Wonderbolts. "Why couldnt we help Cloudsdale Soarin? We are the Wonderbolts" she asked her voice filled with sorrow. Soarin walked up to touch his nose to her cheek. "Im sorry Dashie..." he whispered. "I didnt wan't you or the baby to get hurt" She calmed down and relized even they couldn't help Cloudsdale. Rainbow Dash was just relived to be safe and have Soarin be safe with her.
"I hope Ponyville is still safe" Rainbow Dash wondered. "Don't your friends live here? Soarin asked. Rainbow Dash worried even more. "They do. I hope they're ok..." "We should try to find them, and get out of the open" Soarin said. "You know this place better than I do, could you take me to them?" Rainbow dash thought for a moment and said,"I guess I could try to find them, but I haven't seen them in forever."
A cloud of green, sparkley, smoke swirl above Rainbow Dash. It transformed into a letter. Rainbow Dash picked it up. She quickly read through it and mumbled, "This could have been sent an hour ago...." Then she read it again and said, " Twilight is still in the library. The girls will be there too. She says come A.S.A.P." " Okay, then we should probably hurry" Soarin said. The pegasi quicky flew towards the library, to await what was yet to come.
Apple Jack was doing some last minute apple bucking. She collected the last of the apples and headed for the barn. Fluttershy was waiting there. " Do you need some help Apple Jack?" she asked. "Nah, thanks though Fluttershy. Apple Jack said. She wiped her face with her hoof and put the bucket of apples down.
A peach colored pegasus came in and took the bucket of apples away. "Thanks Apple Sweet." Fluttershy said nuzzling her daughter. "Your welcome!" Apple Sweet said smiling. "That will probably do for now" AJ said. "Ya, it's getting late. I should get Apple Sweet to bed." Fluttershy said.
Granny Smith wobbled over to the two mares. "Have you two seen that there smoke in the sky?" she asked loudly. Fluttershy and AJ looked at each other in confusion. "What smoke?" AJ said walking towards the window. Fluttershy flew over. "Those are just clouds I think. But they do look like smoke" Fluttershy said. "What looks like smoke?" Apple Sweet said fluttering over to her. "Nothing, but you need to go to sleep" Fluttershy said picking Apple Sweet up. The yellow pegasus flew into a room. She came back out a few minutes later.
The barn doors swung upon. Big Macintosh came in with something in his mouth. He dropped it in front of Fluttershy. "Is that a letter?" she asked picking it up. "Eee-yup" Big Mac said nodding his head. Fluttershy quickly nuzzled him and opened the letter. Everything was silent until Fluttershy shrieked. She quickly flew over behind a few barrels. AJ picked up the letter and read it. She had an uneasy expression on her face. "Zombies?" she asked.

Pinkie Pie just got finished baking a cake for Poundcake and Pumpkincake's birthday. "There! How's that?" Pinkie said. "It looks beautiful!!" Pumpkincake cheered. "It looks alright, I guess..." Poundcake mumbled. "You two are so cute!" Pinkie said grabbing the twins. Poundcake sighed while Pumpkincake giggled. Pinkie relased the ponies and shuddered. "Uh oh, it's my Pinkie sence" she gasped. "Something that you wouldn't expect to happen is going to happen!" "Like what?" Poundcake asked, suddenly interested in what the pink pony had to say.
Pinkie shuddered again. "I-I'm not sure!" she stuttered. "How's it going in here?" Mr. and Mrs. Cake come in after delivering several sweets. "Pinkie is having a Pinkie sence again!" Pumpkincake said bounding over to greet her parents. "Could it perhaps have somthing to do with the dark, gloomy, clouds outside?" Mrs. Cake wondered. Pinkie shuddered again then walked unsteadily towards the window.
Pinkie opened the window. A cold breeze blew into Sugar Cube Corner. "Shut the window Pinkie!" Poundcake growled. Mr. Cake silenced him with a warning glance. Pinkie was about to close the window, when a green flame drifted in. The flame turned into a letter that unraveled beside Pinkie. She gave one more shudder, than picked up the note. Her hair suddenly deflated. "I think I know why my Pinkie sence went off"

Twilight paced back and forth. She was hoping her friends got her messages. Rarity and Spike were in the library with their kids. Rainbow Dash and Soarin have arrived moments ago. She was still awaiting the arrival of AJ, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie.
"Twilight darling, please calm down" Rarity said softly. Twilight stopped and sighed. "I'm sorry Rarity, I just can't stop worring about everypony" Twilight said. She sat down and gave a heavy sigh. Sapphire flew over clumsily and nuzzled beside Twilight and said, "It's okay Aunt Twilight! I'm sure they'll be here soon!"
As if an invisible force responded to her, the door to the library swung open. The three ponies that have been expected were standing in the doorway.
AJ was the first to speak. "Twilight" she said,her voice full of concern. "Please tell me this isn't true"
Twilight stood and approached her worried friend. Her voice was barely audible. "I'm sorry AJ...... But it is true"
Fluttershy flew over to the couch that Dash was laying on next to Soarin and layed her sleeping daughter beside Dash. Fluttershy put her hoof carefully on Applesweet's flank and whispered, " Oh Twilight, what are we going to do?"
Rainbow flew up and said, "We need to stop this that's what we need to do."
Soarin gently grabbed her tail and pulled her back down.
Pinkie Pie walked and sat on a bean bag chair. She was not her usauall Pinkie self, but a gloomy Pinkie like when she was working at the rock farm as a filly. Her eyes how ever were a bit enlightened though as if she had an idea. "Couldn't we just use the Elements of Harmony again?" She suggested.
"It's a great idea Pinkie, but I'm afraid not even the elements can save Equestria in this disaster" Twilight told her.
"There has to be something we can do to stop this" Spike said, thinking.
Rarity nodded in agreement.
The ponies thought long and hard for ideas.
Suddenly, Fluttershy gasped and pointed her hoof at a window. There, with glowing yellow eyes, was a zombie.
The hooves of the zombie scraped on the glass, leaving streaks of blood on the window.
Sapphire and Spike Jr hid behind their parents.
Fluttershy quickly flew over to her daughter.
"Twilight!" AJ exclaimed as more zombies began to pound the glass of the window.
Twilight began to use her magic to take anything she could find and build a barricade on the windows and doors. "Guys! I need help!" She yelled over the pounding noises.
Soarin quickly flew and kicked over a bookcase and struggled to move it, but managed to push it over to the rattling door. Then he flew over to protect Dash at any cost.
The door and windows pounded as if they would bust at any moment.
" Twilight, it's not safe here! We need to get out of here" Rarity squeaked.
"I'm working on it guys" Twilight said. Her horn began to glowed with a pink aura. Sparks began to fly off of it. "Every pony stay close" Twilight said through gritted teeth.
The door broke down with a heavy thud. The glass broke a second after. The zombies began to slowly come on to Twilight's library. They closed in to the group of huddling ponies (and dragon ).
"TWILIGHT!!!!!" Pinkie screamed
The zombies finally reached the ponies.

The center of Ponyville was dark and quiet. Suddenly a pink spark created a temporary light. The ponies were teleportated to the town center, where thankfully, there were no zombies in sight.
"Wow that was insaine" Dash said with a bit of amusement in her voice.
Applesweet began to wake up. "Mom, where are we?" She said still half asleep.
"Shhhhh. It's ok Applesweet. Just relax" Fluttershy whispered. Surprisingly she was was really calm.
Spike looked at Twilight, who was breathing heavily and sweating from the intense spell. "You did it Twi!" He cheered.
Twilight sighed. "Thanks....." She groaned.
AJ looked around. "Now what?" She asked.
There was a shriek. It was coming from up ahead. Every pony quickly went over to the source of the screaming sounds of ponies.
Twilight slowed her pace as she approached the ponies who where circled around something. Twilight's eyes were full of grief as she saw what they were looking at. There, in the circle of the ponies, was Berry Punch. Her body was stiff and lifeless. Her eyes were pale.Blood trickled down her face and pooled around her, and some parts of her flesh was ripped.
Berry Punch's sister, Pina Colada was staring at her with eyes filled with sorrow. She cried heavily at the list of her sister in front if her.
"What happened?" Twilight asked.
"I d-don't know w-what happened. I j-just came out here a-and saw her" Piña Colada cried.
Fluttershy flew over and held Piña Colada in her arms. Applesweet did the same. "I'm so sorry piña Colada....." Fluttershy said, sharing her grief.
Twilight stood tall and looked and the shock-stricken ponies. "Listen every pony, we must stop this from happening again." She announced.
A cream colored earth pony steped up. "How can we if we don't know how Berry died?" She pointed out.
"Well, Bon Bon," Twilight started. "I don't know how she died, but I have an idea of how it did happen..... There are zombies coming"
Dash could obviously tell that they were about to freak out. "Don't you DARE scream" she commanded. The ponies did as so. They must have been so shocked at Berry's death, that they were too confused to do anything else. Dash nodded for Twilight to continue.
Twilight continued, "Please listen to me. We need to do something so the zombies don't kill or hurt anyone else. We need some sort of place were all Ponyville citizens can survive until the princess has finished her evacuation plan."
"What if we don't find a big enough place that won't be cramped untill the princess is done?" A minty green unicorn asked. "Lyra is right" a pony said in agreement.
"Look, ther won't be a perfect place. We just need something that we can survive in." Twilight argued.
"We could build something to keep us same?" Pinkie pie suggested.
"Ya" Soarin agreed. "Like a safety hole or something." Dash shook her head.
Twilight's eyes lit up. "Ya we could build some sort of wall or barricade that will protect every pony." She said. She turned to Soarin and AJ. "I need you two to find something to build with" she instructed. "And I need Pinkie and Spike to look for survivors."
With a nod, the four spreaded through out the city."Watch for zombies" Rainbow Dash called out before they disappeared.
"We need all the help we can get" Twilight said. "Try to lend a hoof wherever you can."
The ponies began to slowly walk around keeping an eye out for any zombies"
"What about....." A pony started to say, but then looked down at Berry Punch's torn body.
Twilight sighed sadly. "If you could, dig a hole and we'll bury her."
The stallion nodded and used his hooves to dig in the soft soil.
Twilight watched as they carefully lowered her body into the hole. She looked at the dull, starless, sky and sent out a silent prayer. "Oh Celestia, lets hope we make it in time..."
"Princess Celestia!" One of the castles royal guards yelled galloping down the dim hallways. He made a sharp turn around the corner heading for a pair of large, crystal doors. He barged in quickly, alarming the Princess. "What is it?" she said calmly walking towards the tired guard. He quickly caught his breath and explained, "I have urgent news from your sister, Your Majesty. She was flying over Manehatten when she saw a huge wave of......." "What? A huge wave of what?!" Celestia asked. The guard sighed and said, "Zombies Your Majesty......."
"Zombies?! That's impossible!" Celestia said with disbelief. "I want to say it's false as well princess, but I speak the truth" the stallion said calmly. The princess starred at the guard for a few moments then said, "I-I don't know how this could of happened. I need to warn my subjects at once".
"Princess Luna has already warned most of northern Equestria, I will warn Canterlot." the guard said. "Then I shall warn Ponyville." Celestia said walking towards her desk.
Her horn was surrounded by a gold aura. A quill began to levitate. She began to write a letter to one of her most reliable subjects.
"My Dearest Twilight,
I don't know if you're aware, but Equestria is in catastrophic danger. I never knew until moments ago. This threat is one worse than all past threats combinded. The threat is, and I speak the truth, zombie ponies. Please do not panic. I ask of your help because I belive you, your friends, and any other ponies you can find to help you can try to save Equestria. I am sorry to have to put you through all of this. Please try to help the citizens of Ponyville. Keep them safe for now, then when I'm ready, I have an evacuation plan. Thank you.
Princess Celestia"
She sent the letter and turned to the guard who was still standing there patiently. "Please tell the citizens of Canterlot about the news and help them prepare to evacuate. And thanks again for telling me" the Princess said with a nod. The guard bowed and quickly left the room.
Celestia turned and looked out her window. The night was not the same beautiful night her younger sister brought every night. The sky was dull and filled with dark, gloomy clouds that looked like smoke, almost making the moon look green. She hoped the letter would get to Twilight Sparkle quickly.
She heard quiet hoofsteps behind her. Celestia turned to see her sister Luna standing there. "I assume you got my message?" Luna asked. Celestia nodded. Luna looked very troubled. "I don't know how this happened. Magic perhaps? A curse or spell?" she wondered out loud. "I know nothing either my sister" Celestia said walking over to put a wing around her younger sister. Together they looked out the window at the gloomy sky. Celestia sighed,"I just hope were not too late."
