Salura, Deep space. This ship is lost and if we remain here… so are we. In the last 4 days we’ve lost almost every marine in the Battalion and lost contact with everyone else. It’s just 18 of us now, Me, Sargent Goldroot, Lance Corporal Oakyleaves, Corporal Trevor, Oats, our Drop ship pilot Dusty plus a few others from Viper 2-3’s Alpha squad and 3-3. We’ve been holding out in the armoury and placed traps in the vents so they can get at us from there. Every once in a while we’d hear… hear screams from those who hadn’t been fortunate enough to have been killed by the Xenos. It was a Marines worst nightmare… Being hived, the process of which the Xenomorphs breed. It starts off with a Facehugger, A spider like creature that latches onto your face and impregnates you with a fetal Xeno, it then dies, its job done. The xeno inside you feeds on the nutriants from your own body until it ready to leave. Then while you’re still alive, it tears out of your chest. You don’t survive. Sarge just called everyone for a meeting… I think he has a plan. Corporal Endless Midnight Current Battalion strength: 18 confirmed survivors, 250 M.I.A, 432 K.I.A Recorded 7 months ago June 23rd 2246Corporal Endless Midnight, Viper 2-3 Delta, 22nd Equestrian Marine corps "Bug Splatters" Battalion. 0000 23rd June 2246, Dropship Viper 2-3, Deep space. We made it, most of us anyway. right after we started running they came outta the walls like they always do... about a minutes in... we lost two pony's, Graveheart from 3-3 and another who's name I never learned... Goddess I wish I had, nobody deserves to die unrememberd... Graveheart had been grabed and inpaled on a xeno's tail, the other marine had tried to get to him, but there were too many, he died when he got too close to a xenos blood splatter, Xeno blood is highly acidic and can burn right through a renforced door in seconds... its not a pretty end. he was dead before he hit the floor... Graveheart died soon after but not alone, he had primed a firebomb explosive and detonated it, taking a large number of Xenomorphs with him. we lost Trevor and almost lost Buttercup who was from 1-3 delta, they both got grabbed and would probably be wrapped up on a wall by now with a facehugger attached to their face's. I heard buttercup scream in fear as a Xeno picked her up and began to carry her off. I didn't have time to think so I just used a levitation spell to send crate flying into it, making it lose its grip on Buttercup who I grabbed with my spell and placed her on to the ground, Trevor wasn't so lucky as he was too far for any of us to help him... so the sarge shot him. it was a mercy killing and we all know it was better then what was in store for him if he had lived, but I don't think I could have made that decision. and when I looked into his eyes... I saw the pain of what he had just done. We reached the flight bay without losing anyone else to the bastards. The hanger had been relativity untouched and we had, had to cut our way into it because it had been welded shut, we found Viper 2-3 sitting without a scratch which Dusty was happy about (She was very protective over her dropship) but Vipers 1-3 and 3-3 weren't there. after re-sealing the doors and setting up a few autoturrents covering the doors and ventilation ducts, we started loading up the dropship with supply and other essentials, it already had a Apc on board and a full tank of fuel with reserves that should last us a few days. Before leaving we downloaded the ships scan data and flight logs and whatever we could get our hooves on. we divided it was time to go when something burst through the main doors leading into the cargo bay... it had been the Matriarch and the one bug I really wanted dead, so I had released the magic of my disguise spell and showed what I really was... And alicorn. after receiving looks of shock and awe from my squad mates, I shouted at them to get in the dropship while I distracted the Bitch, they didn't need telling twice as they galloped into the dropship as fast as their hooves could carry them. I didn't blame them. while firing at the queen with the pulse rifle I already had in my battle saddle, I had picked up another two with my magic and flew to meet the thing, firing at her and whatever came through the hole she had torn into the blast door. I had keapt this up for a few mineats, keeping the Matriarch focused on me as well as keeping her children from getting to the dropship. I had already gone through all the ammo in the pulse rifles and was resorting to using my side arm and whatever I could get my hooves on... then I set my sights on a flame thrower and snatched it up without hesitation thinking that it was about time that this bitch got a taste of were she was going. I had snatched it up and let lose jets of flame at he monstrous creature, setting it ablaze, its screeches echoed all over the ship... and still it had refused to die. Then I heard the whine of the dropships engines lifting the ship off the deck and hovering there for a second before spinning around slowly to face the now burning queen, blaring over the speakers for me to get out of the way. as soon as I did they started pouring lead and missiles into the thing, reducing her to a twitching heap on the deck full of holes of various size. as soon as she died, every Xeno screamed, all I remember after that was thinking "serves you right" then collapsing onto the open assault ramp due to exhaustion and blood loss. I woke up an hour ago and covered in bandages and half my eye sight lost due to a eye patch, and getting odd looks from everyone, not remembering what had happens. It wasn't until a few second later that I realized why. You know those awkward moments when you were foals when your parents found you raiding the cookie jar, well imaginethat but allot worse. Well I guess I've got some explaining to do... after the service that is. Salura, Io. Well we got our new assignment today, we’re to be droped off at a marine base on Tau Valarus, but along the way we’re to drop off a batch of Xenomorph specimens on M-446 to some Wayland Ytani corp egg heads, Goddess I hate these things, even in cryo they give me the creeps. Sargent Goldroot says it’ll take a month and a half to get to M-446 and another 4 to get to Tau Valorous, so we’ll be in hyper-sleep for the majority, but will be woken up in shifts to do inspections. My squad’s shift will be a months’ time. Oats keeps saying he thinks no good will come of this, but I just think he’s being a paranoid asshole but hey, what do I know. Well, looks like it’s time to get into my pod. Corporal Endless Midnight. Current Battalion strength: 700 Recorded 9 months 12 days ago. We were woken from cryo today, not just us though. The entire battalion had been woken and given the order to get suited and booted. When we were told why… well let’s just say we were scared. One of the xenos had gotten out and found its way into one of the large Cargo bays, there it metamorphosed into a queen and had set up a nets. To make matters worse than almost the entire crew had been hived or killed, plus the Xenos in cryo had been woken too. We were the last of the battalion to be popped outa cryo and already we had lost over a 100 marines. Oats keeps saying I told you so… I’m really considering bucking him in the face and normaly I would, except for the fact that we were on a ship infested with goddess know how many Xenos and it wouldn’t do us any good if our smart gunner was out of action because of a concusion. The little voice at the back of my head kept saying that something was going to go wrong, things always go wrong. Goddess I hate when it’s right. Corporal Endless Midnight.
