//-------------------------------------------------------// Call of Cutie: Black Ops II -by Starlight Wishes- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge + Chapter 1: The Horde //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge + Chapter 1: The Horde "Starlight, what's happening!" the terrified mare screamed, desperately trying to escape. "I...I don't know!" "Don't panic, we'll be OK!" The pegasus screamed, even though he knew very well that it was going to be their final day. "Starlight, BEHIND YOU!" "Fighting Horrors, protect me!" "Guys, I'm out of ammo! We're screwed" The zomponies had cornered the two colts and their mare friend, and slowly started feasting on their flesh. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Shadow Glory screamed, dramatically falling to the floor. "Relax, Shadow. We can just play again." Starlight told him. "I guess so....When is Orange Cream going to get there?" The dark red pegasus asked his unicorn partner. "Anytime now. I'll go check to see if she's almost here. I'll be right back" She replied, untangling the headset from her soft blue hair. She quickly ran up the stairs and glanced out her front window, for every second away from Shadow Glory was like a year to her. She loved him with all her heart, and she knew he loved her too. She looked around at the area surrounding her little cottage in the woods to find Orange Cream sitting on her front porch. Starlight bolted to the door and opened it. "Orange! How long have you been out here??" "About two weeks. Did you know you talk in your sleep?" Orange Cream said, giving me a creepy smile. "Haha, you're so weird!" Starlight replied, welcoming her friend into her house. Starlight lead Orange Cream to her basement, where Shadow Glory and Fighting Horrors could be heard through her headset. The blue-maned mare handed her unicorn friend a headset connected to a controller. The mare gave her an unamused look. "I am NOT playing Black Ops with you, Starlight." "C'mon, Orange! Just one round?" Starlight begged her friend. Orange Cream sighed and put the headset on. "One round, and then I'm never playing this stupid game ever again." "Yes!" Starlight screamed, putting her headset on as well. "Oh, hey Shadow, your maarreefrieeend is baaack!" Fighting Horrors teased. "Oh, hey Starlight, is Orange Cream there yet?" Shadow asked. "Yeah, she's on the other mic right now. She agreed to play one round. Say "Hi" Orange." "Sup." "Heeeeeeeeey Oraaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnngggggggggggeeeeeeee!" Fighting said, snickering. "....Fighting had 7 boxes of Nerds while you were gone....." "Oh, for the love of Celestia! Alright, everypony get in the bomb shelter!" Starlight said, her hoof pressed against her face. "Alright, so what do we want to play?" Shadow asked. "TraaaaaanZiiiiiiiiit!" "Yeah, TranZit sounds good to me" "Starlight, what's TranZit?" Orange Cream said, covering her mic. "It's a huge war with zomponies in which you have to survive by taking a bus to different locations, and, of course, shooting the zomponies before they kill you." "I don't get how you love this so much." The mare said while rolling her eye. "It's fun, trust me." Starlight replied. "It's stu-" Orange began, but was too terrified to finish. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT! SHADOW? STARLIGHT? ORANGE??" "Starlight, what's happening!" the terrified mare screamed, desperatly trying to escape. "I...I don't know!" "Don't panic, we'll be OK!" The pegasus screamed, even though he knew very well that it was going to be their final day. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Shadow's Perspective //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Shadow's Perspective My body was pained. My wings? Broken, but I love Starlight, and I refuse to leave her side. It was painful to see her lying there, cold on the ground. Was she.....dead? Only time will tell, and I'll do whatever it takes to protect her body, dead or alive. The zombies just kept coming, and it was getting difficult to hold them off with only my bare hooves, since they had broken my wings. That didn't stop me though. Nothing can stop me from protecting the mare I love the most. I started rebuilding the barriers surrounding Starlight, hoping that they would hold off the zombies until I could find out where Fighting Horrors and Orange Cream were in this hellish world. "FIGHTING!" I screamed, desperately hoping that they'd hear me, "ORANGE! GUYS! STARLIGHT'S DOWN! I NEED HELP!" The door slammed open, and four ponies ran out of the mist. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?! YOU NEED TO GET TO SAFETY!" A dark-coated colt screamed, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the door. "NO! I refuse to leave her!" I yelled back, struggling to get away. "She needs me!" "WE'LL TAKE CARE OF HER, NOW GET TO SAFETY, DAMN IT!" I slipped out of his grasp and ran over to Starlight, who was being guarded by the other three ponies. I slowly and softly kissed her, fighting the thought that this may be our last, and she won't remember one second of it. "I...I love you, Starlight. I'm so sorry we had to say goodbye like this." I said, beginning to cry. I followed the colt to a run-down bus. "Take this, it's an Olympia. It's cheap, but until we can get you a good gun, you'll have to deal with it." He said, handing me a shotgun with the name "RUSSMAN" carved in it. "Russman?" I said, slowly realizing what was happening. "We're.....we're in Call of Cutie!" "Call of what now?" Russman said, scratching his white beard. "Look, kid. I don't have time for this shit. There's a horde out there, and you're one of the eight survivors. Now kill the zombies!" Russman ran back into the bus depot. Eight? If there's eight of us that means that... "Shadow!" Fighting Horrors said, landing in front of me. "Dude, you'll never guess where we ar-" "Call of Cutie." "How did you...?" He said, shocked that I could comprehend all of this. "Where's Starlight?" "S-she's....dead." I said, tears blurring my vision. "And I couldn't save her." "Oh....dude I'm so sorry...." "But....let's just focus on something else right now, like protecting the other mare. Losing them both would be....horrible. Where's Orange Cream?" I asked, looking around the bus. "She's on the roof, I'm teaching her how to aim." Fighting said, flying back on the roof. I struggled up to the ladder, careful as to not brush my wings against anything. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of this dumb shooting thing." Orange said, holding the gun up and slowly aiming. She struggled to shoot one zombie, meanwhile Fighting had taken down several. I decided to give as much effort as I could, the thought of these horrid things killing my marefriend practically killed me. I was furious, therefore went on a mad rampage. "THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR KILLING STARLIGHT, YOU SON OF A BITCH!" I shouted and the zomponies. "Starlight.....Starlight's d-dead?" Orange Cream said, dropping her gun and beginning to cry. I stood there silently, focusing on murdering the creatures. "I tried to save her, but the zomponies broke my wings and I couldn't fight anymore." "I...I can't believe she's go- AH!" Orange Cream shrieked, falling down. Fighting ran over to her and murdered the zompony that killed her. "Orange, get to the bottom of the bus, NOW!" He screamed. "I....I can't move!" Orange Cream cried. Fighting Horrors picked her up, flew to the bottom of the bus, and gently put her down in the back of the bus. He came back up and scouted the roof silently with me. He could tell I was dying inside. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Fighting Horror's Perspective //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Fighting Horror's Perspective I woke up along side of Orange Cream, her light orange coat covered in blood. Her even lighter orange eyes were open, looking straight at me and filling up with tears. "N-no.....please don't cry." I said in attempt to comfort her, even though she was practically a stranger to me. After all, I had only met her a few months ago. I crawled towards her and put my hooves on her shoulders, giving her a stern look in the eyes. "Look, I know we're strangers, and that I seem like a total jerk, but I can and will protect you. I will do whatever it takes to get us out of here alive, but this is a team effort, and if you don't toughen up and cooperate, we won't make it. Do you understand me?" She nodded her head with tears still running down her cheeks, which I softly brushed away with my black hoof. I do not love her. I repeated this sentence over and over in my head, fighting the fact that I may be falling for this gentle unicorn. I can't be in love, it would distract me from my training for the navy, but the way she looked into my eyes made her look so..... NO! Fighting, you do NOT love her! You CAN'T love her! I quickly stood up, leaving her sitting on the debris-cover ground and trying to forget what had just happened. Where were we exactly? The last thing I remember doing was playi- "Fighting, I think we're in that stupid game." I stumbled towards a window and ripped away one of the blood-stained boards blocking it up. A creature stared at me from behind the remains of a car, it's blue glowing eyes sending chills down my spine. She was right, we truly were in that "stupid game." My eyes bolted around the room, looking for something to protect her with. Orange had moved from the ground to a box. Wait, that's the mystery box! We're in the gas station at the diner! I placed my hooves on the mare's cutie mark, an orange creamsicle, and moved her to the floor. She stood up beside me, and watched carefully as I slowly opened the glowing box. "We need an offering to the Great Gun God in order to get a gun." I told her. She rolled her eyes at the thought of there really being a god of guns, and gently pulled out a lock of her blood-colored hair. She threw it in the box, which caused smoke to come out from it. When the smoke cleared, there was a ray gun waiting to be taken. I picked it up and handed it to her.  "Here, this will help you if I die." She gave me a soft smile, and took the gun. Orange ran to the window and pointed the weapon at a zombie, but wouldn't shoot. "How exactly do I use this thing?" She said looking into my eyes again. I slowly approached her and put my hooves around her. "Here, let me show you." I guided her hooves to the trigger, and pressed it. "Now, you try without my guidance." I released her and watched her struggle, but succeed in shooting a zombie. I walked back towards the Mystery Box and opened it. I slowly plucked a feather from my black and yellow wings and threw it in the box. More smoke appeared and disappeared, revealing that my offering had earned me a FAL. Damn it! I hate semi-automatic guns, which is exactly what a FAL is. Semi-automatic. If only Shadow was here, he's amazing with this gun. I grabbed the gun anyways and loaded it. It'll hold off whatever is in my way until I can get a new gun. "Fighting, help!" Orange Cream yelled, trapped in the corner. I bolted to the zomponies surrounding her. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" I screamed, snapping the neck of one of the horrid creatures. Since the FAL was of no use to me shooting-wise, I used it as more of a bat. I slammed the gun into the head of a different zompony, covering the floor in a deep-colored blood. "ORANGE, SHOOT THEM!" "I-I can't!" "SHOOT THEM, DAMN IT!" I yelled. The terror-stricken mare followed my orders and continued to shoot. I grabbed her hoof and dragged her out of the gas station and towards a lava pit. If I go to the right, we'd go to the farm, but going to the left would bring us back to the bus station. I threw Orange Cream on my back, and started flying the foggy path to the left. All was going well until a monkey-like creature jumped on my face, blinding me and causing me to crash. I used my gun and whacked it until it died. "W-what was that?" "It was a denizen. They jump on their victims when they're going through the fog." I told her before taking off again. The fog disappeared, revealing the bus depot and....the bus! I flew on top of the bus and set Orange down. I jumped down into the vehicle to find Misty stabbing a zompony. She threw the dead body on the ground and stared at me. "Who the hell are you?" She said, taking off her hat and blowing the creature's remains off of it, revealing her dark brown hair. A scream came from inside of the bus depot, which caused me to drop my gun, and Misty darted off the bus and ran into the run-down abandon bus station, being followed by who I was assuming was Russman, Stuhlinger, and Marlton. I flew back up to the roof of the bus and fought alongside Orange, who was still struggling with the gun. I wrapped my hooves around her again, and steadied her shaking hooves. "Steadiness is key in aiming." I whispered to her. She turned her head and gingerly kissed me on the cheek. I released her once again, letting her aim on her own. Oh, shit, my gun is down below. I hovered back into the dark bus and picked it up. A familiar blood-red pegasus was standing in front of me, cuts and blood covering his body. "Shadow!" I exclaimed. "Dude, you'll never guess where we ar-" "Call of Cutie" he said, cutting me off. How could he have figured this out? "How did you...? Where's Starlight?" I asked, but instantly regretted it, for his face became dark, and his eyes filled with tears. "S-she's....dead. And I couldn't save her." I was speechless. Starlight meant the world to Shadow. He was always talking about how much he loved the light-cyan unicorn, and how much she always talked about her everlasting-love for the brown-maned pegasus. "Oh....dude I'm so sorry...." I managed to say. Was she really gone? He shook his head in anger. "But....let's just focus on something else right now, like protecting the other mare. Losing them both would be....horrible. Where's Orange Cream?" He asked, scanning the bus for the innocent mare. "She's on the roof, I'm teaching her how to aim." I told him, flying back to the roof. I watched him as he struggled to get up the ladder, his wings looking very limp. Orange must have improved in the aiming, for she was killing the zomponies on her own, no guidance needed. "I think I'm starting to get the hang of this dumb shooting thing." Orange said, holding the gun up and slowly aiming. I stood on the opposite end of the bus and started trying to use the FAL. Shadow Glory held the Olympia in his hooves, and started shooting wildly. "THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR KILLING STARLIGHT, YOU SON OF A BITCH!" He shouted, blasting the heads off of the zomponies. "Starlight.....Starlight's d-dead?" Orange Cream said, dropping her gun and beginning to cry. Shadow went silent, and his eyes turned cold. He just stared at the creatures for a while, before returning to shooting them in the heart, just as they had done to him. "I tried to save her, but the zomponies broke my wings and I couldn't fight anymore." "I...I can't believe she's go- AH!" Orange Cream shrieked, falling down. I ran over to her and murdered the zompony that had been attacking her. "Orange, get to the bottom of the bus, NOW!" I screamed. "I....I can't move!" Orange Cream cried. I picked her up, just as softly as I had before, flew to the bottom of the bus, and gently put her down in the back of the bus. When I came back up, everything went silent. Shadow Glory wouldn't take his eyes off of the zombies. He seemed lifeless. Dead, just like Starlight. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Starlight's Perspective (Part 1) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Starlight's Perspective (Part 1) "D-dead m-mare?" "Who cares? We see these things daily." "Wait! She's breathing!" "MAKE WAY FOR RUSSMAN!" A hoof slammed down on my already aching chest, causing me to awaken. I opened my eyes to see my friends had been replaced by some other familiar looking ponies. "Where am I? Where are my friends?" I said, panicking at the thought of them being alone. "They're on the bus, now, C'MON, LET'S GO!" The mare in the group screamed, getting on her hooves and running towards the exit with two of the three colts following. "Here, you might need these." The remaining colt said, tossing me a blood-stained knife and a pistol. I slowly got up and wearily followed the colt, limping. Another colt with darker fur jumped on the bus, turned around, and looked at me. "C'MON! THE HORDE IS COMING! WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!" he screamed before jumping off the bus. He ran towards me, picked me up, and threw me on the bus. My head slammed into the robotic driver, who stared at me with red eyes before honking the bus horn. I studied the pistol that the colt had given me. "STARLIGHT!" A familiar voice screamed. "YOU'RE ALIVE!" Orange Cream crawled out of a shadowy corner of the bus and threw her hooves around me. "Orange!" I shrieked, returning the hug. "Are you okay?? Where are the guys?? Are they okay?!?" "Shadow's wings are broken from protecting you from those.....those things." She told me with a terrified look in her eyes. "Things? What things?" I said, dodging the colt who had given me my pistol. Orange Cream used the little bit of strength she had left to point out the window at a deadly creature, and possibly my worst fear. Then it hit me; we weren't in the normal world anymore. We were fighting alongside Misty, Marlton, Stuhlinger, and Russman in Call of Cutie.
