Aponycalipse: Wings of Freedom

Miles out of the city, a group of soldiers were walking down the road; one was the younger brother to Isaac. His name is Ivan. He zips up his trench coat and fixes his hat as they continued to walk.

“Ok comrades we should be at a safe distance from the city.” Ivan said.

“What if ponies come?” A soldier asked.

“Ponies are not smart,” another replied. “Modified bazooka for watermelons should stop them...”

“I’ll stick with the shovel... “

“Comrades focus!” Ivan yelled.  “We need to regroup with the transports. So we got a lot of ground to walk on.”

They keep talking as they walk. “Quiet down or they might hear us comrades...” Ivan said as he noticed one of the soldiers missing. “Wait...wasn't there 5 of us here?”

"Oh no! I can only see three!” A soldier yelled in fright.

“Oh no...That must mean they are here...” Ivan mutters as he said to the soldiers, “Stay close or they'll pick us off!!!”

“Yes sir!” the soldiers said as they stayed close. Ivan looks away for a moment when another soldier gets grabbed.

“Move!” Ivan yelled as the soldiers follow. Dragon swoops by and takes soldier trailing behind the group.

“Gotcha!” Dragon said happily.

“NOOO!” The soldier struggles to get free.

Ivan looks up, “Oh no! They got another!”

The two remaining soldiers follow as they shot back. Soon the solder Dragon carried is transformed and he let him go.  Edge flies next to Dragon and looks down.

“That one giving the orders must be Ivan. Get rid of the others.” Edge ordered.

“You heard him, let’s welcome the rest of our friends,” Dragon said as he files off back to the fight.

“Keep fighting comrades!”  Ivan yelled. But the last two soldiers were quickly beaten. Soon dragon dives bombs and fires a feather struck the gun out of Ivan’s hands.

“What the?! Ok now I’m mad…” Ivan grabs a pony by the head and throws it. Then he starts beating the living daylights out of the others.

“Oh crap! He’s a monster!” Edge said in shock. “Dragon take care of him now!”

Dragon charges and tackles Ivan into a wall. “Tag! You’re it!”

“ARGh! Get off me!” Ivan punches Dragon in the face to get him off.

“Ow, you’re mean!” Dragon said.

“Get away from me!” Ivan yelled.

“Aw, but I want to play with you.”

“Leave me alone pony!” Ivan yelled back as he pulls out a smoke grenade and throws it on the ground as it creates smoke and Ivan runs.

“Aw, come back don't you want to meet your brother?” Dragon said which caught Ivan’s attention.

“My brother?” Ivan asked.

“Yep your brother isn’t that right Edge?” Dragon looked at Edge.

“Yep.”

Ivan shook his head. “Wait...no no no...I'm not listening to you!!! You're just getting into my head!!!”

“Don’t you want to meet your brother again?” Dragon asked.

“I've seen him many times,” Ivan replied, “And I'm going to see him again when I meet up with the transports. I bet you won't stand a chance if you fight him.”

“Are you sure about that?”

“They don't call him Red Star as his call sign. He took out 20 of your kind back in Russia!” Ivan yelled.

“Well that may be, but then again he never fought someone like me...Edge or should I say 'Echo' can test to that isn’t that right?”

“Wait…” Ivan looks at Edge. “Echo is that you?”

“Not anymore,” Edge said, “I am now Edge the Pegasus.”

“You...traitor! Leave me alone!” Ivan yells as he runs. “I am a human being. I will not become one of you!”

Dragon sighs, “I guess we have no choice but to take him by force.”

Snowy was around with Justin, Cam, Scribble and Blurry eating ice cream.

“Hey guys, could you help me for a bit?” Dragon asked.

“Oh yeah! Take this,” Snowy levitates her ice cream to Dragon and uses her spell to disguise herself as Max. “Max will do it!”

Dragon happily licks the ice cream as Snowy ran towards Ivan. Ivan sees Max and stops running.

“Hey Ivan!” She said, sounding just like Max. “Hey amigo... I thought I was alone...”

“Max my friend! I thought you were one of them when we lost contact with the camp.” Ivan said, feeling relieved to see Max.

“That is… Justin, John, Chris, all are lost…”

“Damn…” Ivan lowered his head.

“The survivor camp is also infested... the airport has fallen this morning...” Max said.

“Oh no they haven't,” Ivan interrupted. “Air transports have been launched and are heading north. We'll be safe up there.”

“We are left behind... listen; no one is coming for us...” Max said.

“No we are not.”

“I’m a living legend and my squad is gone... what you expect from the others?” Max asked.

“That air base is a second escape area for any remaining survivors that escaped the city.” Ivan said, “A transport will be there so let’s hurry.”

“Thanks for letting us know...” Max’s weapon turns into snow dust that encases Ivan’s boots, making him unable to move. “Guys he’s all yours!”

‘What?!” Ivan was shocked.

“As I said, all my team fell,” half of Max’s face turn into snow dust, revealing Snowy inside of the snow. “Dragon! Here is frozen of the impression.”

Dragon tackles him and pins him to the ground.

“Get off me!” Ivan struggles to get free.

“Max is long gone... but his shape is very useful,” smiles as max’s body went in dust and Snowy changes back. “So, there is a base to assault eh?”

She teleports away to tell everypony.

“NOO!” Ivan yelled, regretting that he told her.

“Sorry to do this but you’re the only one who can lead us to your brother,” Dragon said.

“So you used me?!” Ivan yelled in anger. “But there is one thing I forgot to mention… The base is protected like a fort. There is no way you can get through.”

Snowy teleports back. “I have a good ear! Thank you... I have to go disguised and transform from the inside...”

“Damn it…”

“Also I wasn’t using you... I owe you an ice cream!” Snowy said happily.

“Yep, soon we can be friends and have ice cream together!” Dragon said.

“Leave me alone!!!!” Ivan yelled, “We don't deserve this!! We just want peace!!”

“And you’ll be playing with all your friends like Justin or Edge,” Snowy said.

“NO!!!” Ivan struggles to get free.

“Even John is going be there as well,” Dragon said.

“John?”

“Yep, though he was a hard case like you.” Dragon said.

“He was john, don’t you notice?” Snowy asked. Ivan’s eyes widen as he looked at Dragon. “I transformed him! Now we have even more friends.”

“Though he did put up on heck of a fight” Dragon said.

“Grrrr....Traitor...you are all traitors!”

“It was all candy and snowballs, but he got distracted and I teleported behind him.” Snowy explained.

“He even tried to put a gun to his own head can you believe that?” Dragon has his hooves crossed and shrugged.

“But I used magic to break his mental defenses...And I’ll do the same again!” Snowy said. Ivan pulls out a flash bang grenade as it goes off, making a loud bang and bright light. “So bright…”

“Ow! Hey that is not very nice!” Dragon head butted Ivan in the head hard. Ivan flinches in pain.

“Time to break him into the herd happiness,” snowy said as her horn starts glowing.

“NO!” Ivan struggles even if he is still in pain from the hit before.

“Trust me you’ll love it…” Snowy said as her horn touches Ivan’s head, establishing a link. She quickly rewrites the parts of violence and hate. Then she heads for his memories. Ivan keeps on struggling, yelling in Russian. Dragon still holds him on the ground as the changes continue.

Ivan's hands and feet become hooves as orange fur grows across his body.

“Make it stop…”

“Don't worry, it’s almost over…” Dragon said. Ivan's blond hair grows out into a mane as his trench coat adjusts into a cape. His face pushes out into a snout as a tail comes out from his rear, matching his mane.

“Where…Where am I?” Ivan asks.

“Your safe my friend.” Dragon said.

“Safe? But where is my brother?” Ivan asked, fixing his hat.

“Your brother is working for the military trying to hurt us.” Dragon explained.

“He is? But that isn't right...”

“He was forced to do it. It’s our job to rescue him.”  Dragon said. Ivan nods and leaves. Justin walks up to Dragon.

“How far do you think the base is?” Justin asked.

“Probably fifty miles from here.” Dragon replied.

“If we are lucky we can find the general that is still controlling the military.” Justin pulls out a photo of the general. “His name is General Viktor Storm. Or to what they call him "The pony dominator." He has more knockouts than anyone else around.”

“Heh, nice face…” Dragon chuckled.

“Trust me Dragon this guy is a human powerhouse. He won't be easy to take down. Now if you excuse me I need to be somewhere.” Justin said as he flew off. Edge walked up to Dragon.

“Did he tell you where he was going?” Edge asked.

Dragon shrugged. “Eh I don’t know somewhere to go to tip off the humans...”

“Tip off? If they find out about this the base will be empty if they find out. Dragon can you keep an eye on that pegasus? If he is an informer to the humans then bring him back to the others.” Edge ordered.

“Got it covered. I've been watching him for a while” Dragon said.

“I see. So he is an informant,” Edge rubbed his chin.

“Yep, but I pretend to be oblivious to his action…but don’t worry, Snowy will take care of it soon…” Dragon said.

“Very well, for now I want you to stop him before he gets to the transports. Not to mention that ace pilot.” Edge said. “If that ace finds out about it, he'll contact the base and they'll evacuate out of there before we can attack. Now hurry before he gets away.”

“Right away,” Dragon then flew off in search for Justin.
