Equestria: The Apocalypse
Chapter 1: Tale of Blackstar
One. Just one family left in this new hell. The explosion had left the land of Equestria had been destroyed, and yet the cause for it was not told to the citizens. As the explosion wore down and the partials slowly disappeared one pony raised from the ground. Still alive he began to shake off the fall he had just taken. He was from Cloudsdale and the city was nowhere in sight. He heard a few bodies also get off the ground. They began to talk to each other trying to figure out what had just happened.
They began to wander the destroyed land. After days of aimlessly wandering around, they finally came to a place that had not been touched by the destruction. Their bodies had begun to eating at itself. They began to limp towards the city of tranquility. Their happiness had begun to disappear to as they approached the city. They began to notice that around the city was a field of energy that radiated from it. The ponies inside looked like they had never even noticed that the land around then had been destroyed.
One of the few ponies that had been on the inside of the barrier had noticed that they were on the outside. They began to walk towards them to greet the visitors that had just arrived. Disappointment had spread across her face as when she arrived at the edge of the barrier she began to notice that the barrier was actually was there. She began to ask them why this was here. She told by the travelers that they had been wandering the wastelands looking for a place to get food and get some rest.
The mare ran off to go try to get a unicorn to try to get the barrier open for them to get into the city that they had arrived at Ponyville. They had waited about thirty minutes before anypony came to help the survivors. When she had arrived, she had brought what seemed to be just about every unicorn in the small city. One by one, each one had tried to open a hole big enough so that each one could get in. the small group of six. When all of the unicorns had tried to open up the barrier that none had prevailed, they had all lost hope that they would never be able to open up the barrier for just enough time to get each one in.
As time went on the poor survivors were almost dead from dehydration and hunger were lying in front of the town that they had hoped would give them a new place to live. As they were soon close to, dying one last unicorn came to try to get them inside the barrier. She had begun to use all the force of her energy but she had prevailed and the barrier had opened up and one by one, each off ponies entered the protected town. The ponies quickly brought food and water to each one of them; they were also been given a small place to live or had lived with another pony.
In an attempt to bring back the land, one Pegasus and the unicorn had begun their extensive research to the land and try to bring the land. They began their long journey and research to bring Equestria. Many years have gone by but they have not gotten any further than they did when they started. Eventually they had decided to just end their research and begin a life as normal as they could.
The Pegasus had become a blacksmith of the town and had made tools weapons and many other things that the town may need. As the years went on, they had a foal of their own. On his 15th birthday, he made him an enchanted dagger that had the ability to turn into a sword and return to the rightful owner when wanted or that he/she needed it. They began giving the weapon named Blackstar to each of their kin at age 15.

I rose from my bed and began to stretch. I walked down the stairs and began to eat an apple. There had been a note on the fridge it was from my mom it read:
Dear Scratch,
I will need you to come over to the park around noon
I have to give you something for your birthday, make sure that you
Arrive on time. Bring your little brother with you
Mom
I gave a sigh, I walked up to my little brother’s room, and on the door was a sign that said Zoot. I knocked on it.
“What do you want?” his voice was shallow, seems like he just woke up.
“We gotta leave around noon.” He sounded like he had fallen from his bed.
“Okay.” I walked over to my room, picked up my mp3, and began listening to music. The night before had been a complete madhouse. I am the town’s only DJ so Club Luna gets most of the ponies that are looking to have fun and forget about their troubles. The rest of the clubs around here just play music without the special touch I add to the beat. My favorite musicians are Vinyl Scratch and Octavia from before the disaster. They were completely different music genres but they made it work. The time flew by fast as I was listening to my music then Zoot came in.
“Hey, we gotta go now. Funny, normally I’m the one whose bein’ told that it’s time to leave.” He walked out of the room. I took my headset off and walked out of the room after him. Zoot was outside waiting for me to get there.
“You ready to go?” He gave me a slight nod. We both started flapping our wing and took off to the park. As we were flying, I noticed that he had gotten a bit faster but I still had more wing power than he did. We arrived at the park in about five minutes. Not a single person was here at the park, but when we looked around; we found a note on a bench;
Dear Scratch,
Bad news
Need you to go to the club, the park was a bad idea.
Mom
I gave a sigh. Mom knows best. “Zoot, meet me at the club I have something I need to do.” He gave me a quick nod and flew to the elevator. Most of the town (thanks to the barrier) is underground. So, we have to use an elevator to go up and down between levels. I began to fly towards a different part of town, towards an office building that controlled the entire money flow through the town. It only took a minute to get there.
I walked in and at the desk next to the door was a red unicorn. She was busy on the computer and had not noticed me yet, so I went into a crouched position and walked directly next to the desk. She still had not noticed me when I was directly behind her; I took a peak at the screen. I had to keep my laugh from escaping; she was playing chess on the computer and was losing.
“This is how you work?” She jumped out of her seat and landed on the ground. I took her seat and in one move won the game.
“How long have you played chess?”
“It wasn’t that hard you had a bishop in a prime position to help checkmate the king with one of the rooks, simple really.” She face hoofed and looked at me.
“Hey, shouldn’t you be at your party.”
“Ya but I came to get you.” She smiled at me.
“Let me grab my stuff.” She walked into the break room and in about a minute, she came out with a bag. We walked out of the building and we walked towards the elevator.
We had to go down to the bottom level because Club Luna is at the bottom so it does not disturb anypony. The levels ranged from the housing on the surface to the third level. Then you have the stores and stuff on the next six levels. Any hardware built here in the town comes from the factories on the next five levels, which where all combined to create a massive empty chamber to fit the factories themselves. Finally, we get down to base level as it we call it, any further down and you’d start heading into the Geo-thermal plant that powers this entire complex. The elevator finally opens up and we see the entrance about fifteen feet ahead of us.
The entrance was big, the club itself is two stories high and the lights that are normally on, are off due to it being before hours. The doors were slightly open and we peaked into the room. The lights were off but I was able to see a few pony figures in the back of the room. We walked in a bit and the doors closed. The lights flashed on and ponies jumped up yelling “Surprise!” I barely missed a pony from where I had been walking. My mom walked up to me with a case that looked like it housed a very expensive weapon.
“What is this?” She gave me a smile.
“This is your birthday present. It is a family heirloom that has been passed down generation to generation since we’ve been trapped inside this bubble.”
I looked at her giving a confused look. The dagger was black with silver highlights, with an engraving made with magic that you could feel emanate from it. The engraving said, “Blackstar,” the hilt of the blade was decorated with a few small gems imbedded into the surface.
“Well it looks like a very expensive thing if it was sold.” She gave me a look of disbelieve.
“You are not selling it!” Then she gave a look as if she was remembering something. “Never mind even if you do sell it, it wouldn’t matter. This particular item would be able to return to you no matter what happened. See these gems; they each give it an ability to do something special. The red one allows it to teleport back to its proper user. The blue one allows it to transform to the correct tool when the user needs it. For example, it can keep its dagger form for being stealthy. There are many other forms but it has not ever been needed for combat so far, when the time comes the user will get to see many forms that haven’t been explored yet.” I gave her a look in disbelieve.
“This dagger can do that? Since when have we needed weapons?” She looked at me and nodded.
“True but you never know when you will, do you?” I looked at her then Scarla and she just nodded.
“I guess you’re right. Well enough of the talking let’s get this party started!” I flew up to my mixing table and started to play my light song for the children and as the night went on and ponies were leaving, I started to throw down my heavy beats. The rest of the night being a blur but Scarla had been up in my mixing set above the dance floor. Then I had no idea what happened after that.

When I came to, my mixing table was playing a song but I had no idea what it had been. Scarla was lying on top of me so I woke her up.
“What’s going on?” She said as I shook her body. She lifted off me after noticing that I was under her. She looked down and saw that we were above the club floor. “Ahhh!” She jumped back onto me knocking us to the ground. “Why are we up here!” she was calmed down a bit but wondering why we were up her. I knew that we were up here from the party but why she was up here, it made me begin to wonder.
“Uhh. No clue but I wonder why no one is in the club right now.” I lifted her onto my back, leapt down to the ground, and flapped my wings once to decrease the speed I was falling at; Scarla gave a slight yelp of surprise when we hit the ground. She got off my back slowly and began to look around.
“Hey where is everypony.” *Facehoof*
“Home maybe? I do not know. Let us go outside.” We walked towards the elevator but Scarla screamed. I ran to go join her cause she was ahead off me. What I saw was murder. Ponies were slaughtered on the ground heads everywhere. Limbs on the ground. My mom’s head was at my feet. I let a tear slip by and looked at the elevator. It was destroyed and the only way up was to fly. Wonder who can fly? Wait me. I put Scarla on my back again and flew through the hole in the roof. We emerged at the top level where we lived. Ponies looked at us as I broke through the metal. They were screwed.
Enraged by the death off my mother fuelled my energy. Scarla seeing the pain in my eyes jumped off my back when we got close enough to the ground, and ran to take cover. It was a small group of six. Each of them glanced at each other and began to laugh at me.
“Looks like another Pegasus is alive here in this town. The other got away earlier last night. You must be the one that was sleeping in the little cage. But if we can catch him then I bet we could make a fortune. Get ‘em.” They each began to walk towards me forgetting the fact that I can fly. So when they were about to jump on me I lunched myself backwards and flew above them. “Alright now you let us catch you and the girl lives,” I had not noticed but they had caught Scarla and had a silver stick pointed at her head. I landed on the ground and they had shackled me to one of the ponies.
They had released Scarla so I had an opportunity to stop the on near her. As I began to run towards him, a flash of light appeared around my wing, making a black outline on my gray wings. I spread out my wings and saw the little blades along each one the tips. None of them able to cut myself with. As I neared him, Scarla ducked under my wing and as she did, a small piece of her red and black mane was cut off. But that’s not the only thing that was cut, the one near her was no longer breathing his head had rolled off his body and landed on the ground. The cut had been smooth and there had not been a sign of resistance. The pony that I was pulling at was grinding along the ground and now had many severe cuts along his body.
“Let me go!” He was looking at the one that was giving the commands, and right now, he was in shock on what just happened along with the others.
“Kill them! Kill them all!” He shouted pointing at Scarla and me. She jumped on my back and I flew up into the air. Pulling two full-grown ponies was difficult. I was able to get up to the clouds and Scarla had started to use some magic to make herself weight-less and to undo the shackles. She was able to do both. The stallion had started to pull out another metal stick and it fired something at me. It hit clean into my flank, right in the center of my cutie mark (which was a bass blasting music. I got it when I first played at the club). Blood oozed from it and I could feel I was losing consciousness. I landed on a cloud and lay down. Scarla had begun to use more of her magic to pull the thing out of my flank. That was the last thing I could remember for a while.

*Dimensional Rift*
When I came to what I saw was nothing. A white room with nothing in it. By the looks of it, the room would be going on forever so I was no longer home. Am I dead? I started to fly upwards. I could feel the air going between my wings but it looked like I wasn’t moving. I began flying in front of me again, not moving.
“Where am I?” The white land started to shift and I could see images of Ponyville. It was familiar area, the park. But the awkward thing was that there was no pony here. I began to walk around and I could see the buildings around. When I tried to walk out of the area the park kept me inside of itself. When I walked back to the center I heard a voice behind me.
“So it looks like the time for the wasteland to begin its revival.” I looked behind me and saw a jet black Pegasus there. He had yellow eyes. His mane was black and blue like mine.
“Who are you?” He looked at me and then began to talk.
“I am your Great grandfather Orin Walker. I don’t want to say how many greats but it’s enough to say that I’m from when the barrier was made. But, I am not here to bore you to death with history. I’m here to train you with the dagger that is on your wings right now. That is the combat situations.” I looked at him and then the area we were currently at. I chuckled a bit.
“First off explain exactly why I have to learn to the combat stuff with this dagger.”
“Simply put I have to train you so that you are able to bring the wasteland that you will soon be having to save back to its original state, back when it was no bathed in the evil around now. It is not me that has chosen to teach you. I was told to do so from the goddesses.” I heard some movement around me. When I looked around I saw a purple unicorn and two alicorns. One was a white one with a mane with several hues. The other a more dark blue with a likewise bluish mane. I remembered them from a book we read in school a few years back. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
The purple unicorn walked up to me and started to talk, “Hello Scratch, I am Twilight Sparkle. As Orin said I’m your many greats grandmother. I will help you with the magical aspect of Blackstar.”
I looked at each one of them and began to wander around the park; Orin began to talk to them but I couldn’t hear them. After a while of them talking they finally stopped. When I looked over at them, Orin had gone missing from the four of them. Since he was a Pegasus he had an advantage of being able to surprise ponies from above, but, when I noticed he wasn’t there I leaped back a few feet while using my wings to get me a few more feet from where I had been standing.
Orin was now where I had been standing and he had looked shocked that I had avoided his attack without seeing it. “How did you even manage to avoid my attack? No pony has done that before.”
“It was actually quite simple. You had left a bit of dust on the ground floating around from where you once were. From there I knew what you were going to do. Zoot had done that so many times before I’ve learned to avoid it without looking. You also move just like him so it was simple.” He looked at me then began to observe the place he was standing before. There were still a few visible dust particles there.
He chuckled and began to talk to me. “So you know a few simple observations for battle. But can that protect you from what else I can do? Oh and just to let you know even if you land a blow that would kill a living pony, it will not affect either of us. If I land a killing blow then at the most you will be given a scar” He then leapt at me the same way I had to dodge his attack but to launch himself directly at me. He landed a clean cut across my side with what looked like a Blackstar copy.
“When did you get a weapon? You haven’t had it.” He gave me a smirk.
“Well you’re very observant, aren’t you? Well this is another weapon that was made by me, for me. I have always kept this by my side so I guess that it came to the grave with me. I have come up with my own nifty name for it, The Riper.” He looked like he was proud of the name he had given it. The other had been watching and I could see them laughing at the name, so I guess that they haven’t heard the name yet.
“You realize that sounds like it likes to rip a lot.” He then looked at me and yet again launched himself at me. But I had prepared myself for it this time. I jumped up and over his body and launched myself downward into his back. When I launched myself downwards into his back I jumped out as soon as I can realizing that I had just killed him, Blackstar had disappeared from my wings to my hooves that now had spikes around the first few inches of my hooves.
We all watched him get up from the attack, his back slowly recovered from the giant gash in him. He stood up after he had finished healing. “With that attack you broke the spinal cord ripped open the back destroyed multiple ribs and opened up the heart.” I looked at him and then everyone else.
“What am I missing here?” He got up and walked towards me.
“You should know I’ve already told you this I’m here to teach you to fight. When I’m done, teaching you these dreams will stop and we can rest in peace. I just told you what you broke in my body to help you know how serious you can attack.” I just sighed and looked him in the eye.
“Okay, well shall we get some more training done?”
“Well we shall I was seeing what you could do this time, but know we will focus on the next aspect of Blackstar. You already know about the wings, hooves, and the blade, now we will work on actually learning how to use it and make it more productive.” From there we trained what felt like for years but I could tell that the training was working and I was now becoming accustomed to the feel of Blackstar. When we finished he began to talk to me.
“You have completed this training session, the next time you fall unconscious you will come here. Now you shall be brought down to reality.” From there I was launched back to my physical being.

When I finally came to I was back in my normal body, it took me awhile to realize what was going on before I had been unconscious, and I remembered that there had been the ponies of which I killed maybe three. Then I remember blacking out on the cloud with Scarla, but this was not a cloud left in the middle of nowhere. I was inside my room; Scarla was lying on my bed with me. I noticed that my flank had been wrapped up. There was a dark red blotch on the center off it. I began to look around and saw that zoot had been in the corner sleeping. I began to tap Scarla on the shoulder to wake her up. She began to stir. She opened her eyes and looked at me. She was speechless; she saw that I had waken up after a being unconscious for a while. We lay there just looking at each other before we began to talk.
“What happened?” I finally asked.
“Well from after you dropped the raider, you landed on a cloud. I had to lay on top of you or else I would’ve had to fall to my death. I sat there and waited for you to wake up but after a while you began to get really cold.” She paused for a second. “I began to get worried, but then Zoot came up to us and brought us both down back to your house. He sprained one of his wings trying to carry both of us. I then had to make us both weightless to let the pressure off the wing. When we got back, he had scared off those ponies and brought some medical supplies to help you. I began to take out that thing that hit your flank out of your body.” Pause “When I finished removing it your flank began to leak more blood. I then found a book that Zoot got from the library and it would reverse time on the target to bring it back to its previous state. After that, the thing went back into your flank making it bleed yet again. So I just stitched it together and bandaged it. After a few days it finished healing, I removed the stitches, after that’s is when I got my cutie mark.” I looked down at her flank and sure enough, there was a cutie mark. It looked like a stethoscope.
“Well it looks like I missed a lot in the past week.”
“Oh, you weren’t out for just a week. It’s been two.” I looked at her in shock.
“Wait! Two weeks?!” Zoot had been watching us but hadn’t said a single word yet.
“Yes, two weeks.” I got up off the bed and began to walk out the door. “Where do you think you’re going?”
“I’ve been down for a few weeks don’t you think I should get some fresh air?” She looked at me and simply nodded. I began to walk down the stair and out the front door. From there I flew to the elevator that was broken. What I saw was the bodies of many ponies most of them I knew the others were the raiders, the three bodies were there. Two were normally killed heads gone stabbed. The other smashed into the ground. I decided to jump into the hole I had made in the top. The metal was busted from the top like a flower blooming in the middle of spring. I jumped down in and began to fly down to the shopping district.
When I got there pony bodies began to walk around, but the awkward thing was that they were all obviously dead. I walked up to the ponies and started to ask them questions. “Hey, um, how are moving? By the looks of it your dead but, correct me if I’m wrong.” Most of them began to move towards me, some moaning other limping and the rest just walked slowly. One of them tried to bite my wing but that is when Blackstar appeared on wings cutting its mouth in half. I jumped up in the air to get away from them. I began to look around and saw that there was some pony trying to defend themselves from the many ponies of the undead. I flew towards the place and saw that it was a light blue mare with a flame like mane. I wasn’t able to see her cutie mark but I didn’t need to. “Hey!” I shouted towards her.
She looked up at me and shouted back towards me. “I need some help over here.” I slowly flew over towards her; the undead wasn’t paying any attention to me, due to the fact that I was flying above their heads. I landed on the roof of the store that she had taken refuge in. it was an electronic store. I opened up the door and began to walk down the steps. I then reached were she was up and hiding at.
She walked up to me and began to speak, “Thanks for coming to help me. I don’t know what I could’ve done without you. They are beginning to get in but I am able to hold them back with the barricades.” I began to walk around for the radiobroadcasting antenna. It was a smallish one so I began to work on it and powered it up. It was able to broadcast across a couple hundred-mile radius. I grabbed a few things to actually broadcast it and had her get on top of my back. I then flew out the nearest window. I was slow but able to keep a good height away from the undead. We got up to the surface in a few minutes and I was getting sore from the heavy lifting. We walked back to my house and on the way began to talk.
“So what’s your name?” I asked her. She looked up at me.
“Blaze. I was down there when the ponies came and slaughtered everypony. I hid in a closet and they didn’t bother to look. When they broke, the elevator fumes began to seep into the dead pony bodies and brought them back to life, so I went to the nearest store to hide. My food had just run out yesterday so I’m glad you saved me.”
“No prob. I was just looking around to get a few supplies considering my brother and I are the only ones with free access between levels.” We were quiet until we got back to the house.
In a few minutes, we arrived at the house and Scarla had been waiting for me to get back, she was surprised to find that there was another pony alive after the massacre. She walked up to us and started examining Blaze. After a minute, she stopped and talked to her.
“How’d you survive the reign of terror that was brought to us during the last two weeks?” Blaze knew that was probably the thing that was going to be asked since there were only them walking around. She explained her story from day one to today when I saved her.
“So I think that we need to get this stuff hooked up.” I said after they finished.
“How are we going to help?” Scarla asked.
“Not you girls, but I’m going to set this up along with Zoot. Blaze after I’m done can you start to make this a home for anypony that wants a place to live without fear?” She looked shocked at what I asked.
“Well you’re going to have to wait. I’m going to think about it.”
“I’m going to fix the elevator so that it is functional again. But that is after Zoot and I are done.” I walked inside the house and called Zoot.
“What?” he was in the living room.
“Need your help I’m going to fly on top of the house and hook up this antenna to the roof. It's going to be for a radio broadcast that is going to run on here.”
“What do you plan to do with it?”
Well I’m not going to be working here. But, I will be having somepony else do it. I was hoping that Blaze would be the one to stay here and run the town and make a new civilization here.”
“Well sure I will help you with that.” We walked upstairs into my room and hooked up the DJ set I had in there to the radio and wired it up so that it would broadcast across the wasteland around us. We hooked up the antenna and made sure it worked. We tested it and sure enough, it did. I grabbed a radio and flew out the window in a single direction. I was able to fly at my top speed and fly for a good ten minutes before I began to lose reception. I set up another small tower and was able to hear the music playing. It was ‘Bass Cannon’ a song made by Vinyl. I flew a bit further out and lost reception at maybe a hundred-twenty miles away from home. I was tired and the sun was going down soon so I decided to get more speed by flying up at the clouds.
I saw a wasteland with little to see. Manehattan was just barely in sight. I flew back home from where I was at. I was going faster than normal and I could feel a barrier forming around me. I knew that it was so that a sonic rainboom would happen. I knew I wouldn’t have close to enough speed so I slew down enough to where I was flying a bit faster than normal. It took about thirty minutes get home. Everyone was waiting for me at the house, and they were elated to see I was back. When I told them, how far the radius was they were happy. We got some sleep and I was sore from all the flying I had just done so it was simple for me to fall asleep.

We woke up the next day and nothing had happened during the night. Zoot was walking around and I noticed that there was a pile of medal barrels and other stuff. He walked over to it and grabbed a few of the small little things and walked over to his room. I got up out of bed, Scarla was sleeping still. I began to rummage through the stuff and found a large one. It looked like it would strap to the back of the user. I slowly picked it up, and almost fell over. I put it on my back and walked outside. Blaze was sleeping on the couch so I walked slowly out the door.
When I got out there, I set up a cart and took aim on it. I then fired it with a small lever that was on the right side of it. The blast was huge. It launched me back and with the force, it had just unleashed a wave of destruction over a large area. What I saw was amazing. The house that was in behind the barrel was obliterated. Nothing was left, the sound that came from it made my ears ring. Everypony came outside after hearing the blast. They began to talk and I was able to understand what they were trying to say I just couldn’t understand then verbally.
“What was that boom we heard?” Scarla asked. I motioned that I wasn’t able to hear them. After a few minutes passed, I was able to was able to hear again.
“It was this.” I motioned to the large weapon on my head. Zoot walked over to me and began to inspect the weapon on my back and left without saying a word. I noticed that he was walking sluggishly and tripped over his hooves a few times. He walked back inside the house and began being himself. I then toke off the big blaster off my back and walked up to my room with it. When I got there, I began to take apart the gun to see what made it fire the blast.

It took me several hours to figure out what the blaster did how it was able to fire the cannon and all of the composites. When I did, I was able take it apart and put it back together. Scarla had been watching me take it apart making sure that if anything happened that she was able to get to me as quickly as possible, and do anything that she would need to. When I finished learning how to do all that, I came up with the idea to combine the thing with my bass. After that I was able to begin to take apart the bass and then take apart the thing and looking at each of the individual parts. I was able to move a small core reactor into the bass and then began to put in a few more things in place for some normal parts and then, a few more hours past and I began to feel tired Scarla was already sleeping so I just laid down and went to bed next to her.

I woke up and got some food to eat then went back upstairs to finish working on the mixture of the two items.
When I was finished, it was around noon when Blaze came into the room to talk to me.
“Scratch I think I have come up with an answer for running a radio station here in Ponyville. It would be smart to because I do not want to leave here. We’ve been here since we were born and if I am going to die I want to die here.” Blaze began to look at me as if I would reply immediately.
“I thank you in doing this it is very pleasing to me; we will be going out to explore the remains of Equestria in about a week. We will come back every now and then to visit and we may bring other ponies back with us or send them.”
Blaze simply nodded and walked away. Scarla had began to look at the thing I made. I need a name for it what shall it be. I began to think about it for a minute pondering what I will name it. Then it came to my head Basscannon. I looked over it and found little mistakes but it had little and was makeshift but it might work overall. We walked outside and found the first place that the cannon were fired. I found another wagon full of hay and readied the Basscannon.
Scarla and Blaze both watched from inside the house and then I began to work with it so that when it would fire it would play a drop from a song that Vinyl had made. It would take about two seconds to ready it then another two for the duration of the blast.
I pressed a button on the back of it; the Basscannon was about a few inches smaller than me so I was able to see over it. When I pressed the button, the cannon began to emit small blue particles from the center out. When it fired you would be able to hear the drop and a split second later it fired the beam and land was destroyed even more so than the first time. When it finished it started to bring itself down into a small cube and then stopped, there was a small 2 in. x 2 in. cube. I picked it up and walked inside the house. Scarla and Blaze looked at me in amazement. It worked a lot better than it did before and didn’t render the user deaf for a few minutes.
We started to pack up a few things before we would leave. Zoot was still in his room and I hadn’t seen him in a day. I walked into his room to find that on his desk were many fireworks and a few of the explosives that were in the pile of stuff in my room.
“Zoot what are you doing? Fireworks are fine but trying to replicate the explosives that were brought here by the raiders. Why?” He looked up and I could see that he was tired. He yawned for a minute and I was able to see that along with the normal yellow eyes he had now had blood vessels popping from his eyes. “When was the last time you got any sleep?”
“The explosives are fun! I found out so much stuff about these! How they work what makes them go boom! I’ve made a replica of one and it worked and since then I’ve been taking apart the fireworks I’ve made and using the gunpowder from them to use for the grenades!”
“Zoot you need sleep now get in your bed we are leaving first thing tomorrow.” He looked at me and simply said.
“No.” I couldn’t believe what he was said he always listen to me before. He then gave a laugh that seemed like he had finally gone crazy, so I did the first thing that I could think of. I hit him and the force behind it was enough to knock him out cold. I then grabbed a piece of paper and began to write a letter to him.
Dear Zoot,
Sorry for knocking you out. By the looks of it you had not gotten a
single second of sleep in the past week so it is what I did.
We will be heading east so I hope that you will be able to find us when you wake up.
Blaze will be watching you until you wake up.

When I finished writing down the letter to Zoot, I went down the stairs and saw Scarla and Blaze talking to each other on the couch in the living room. When they saw me, they got up and walked over to me.
“So, were is Zoot?” Blaze asked. I just looked at them for a second and told them about Zoot what he has begun to make, and about how I knocked him out.
“I’m going to go check on him and see if he’s okay.” Scarla walked up the stairs and went into Zoot’s room. We sat down and sat there waiting for Scarla to come back down. After a few minutes she came down and sat down next to Blaze and I., “He’s fine but he may not remember anything that happened when you two were talking but other than that it will only be a week at the most before he wakes up.” I nodded and started to get a few things we would need to go out and view the rest of Equestria.

After an hour I was able to get all the stuff we would need; a month worth of food, blankets, a few weapons and ammunition, my mp3, and a radio. Scarla had gotten in a cart that had all of our stuff in it and there had been a nice area to lay down and relax if she wanted to. I would be pulling the cart were ever we went, at least until Zoot comes along. But, until then I was on my own. We said goodbye to Blaze and began to leave Ponyville. We didn’t know when we would be back but we were looking forward to see the rest of Equestria.
