I thought I was dead.

Sorry for the delay. I don't know when the next update will be but I will try to make it take less time than it took for me to make this chapter

Luna arrived in her royal chamber, and laid Drax's new body down on the bed and looked him over. Even if she was tired, she still longed for a stallion to call her own. Unlike her sister, she wanted a relationship to last and not just a one night stand.

Luna sighed a long sigh, remembering what could have been.

The flashback started in her head, the vision was one that still caused the same pain that she had felt over 1000 years ago.

"It had started 4 years before her transformation into nightmare moon. She had met a stallion named Starlight watcher, he had been the perfect match for her. He loved her and she had loved him back. They had  been a perfect couple, they both loved the night, they both had the same interests, and above all, they both loved  each other for who they were.

The only problem was that he was a simple earth pony, not from a rich family or one to even be considered worthy of being married to royalty and Celestia always gave Luna a hard time about that. Her words hurt more than she would ever know. Her rude comments on how "she was stooping down just to make a common pony feel important" and "Thats so cute, what's going to happen next, your wings and horn fall off and stain the royal family's name?". Celestia never knew true love, while she may not seem like it now, when she was a young filly, she was very rebellious and hated her parents.

Back on with the flashback. Luna told Starlight about how angry she was at her sister, and of course he comforted her. But her verbal assaults continued, and only got worse. The day before Luna had turned into nightmare moon, Luna saw Starlight half limping, half dragging his back legs along, leaving a trail of blood showing where he had walked. It had turned out that Celestia had beaten him, and abused him. Not because of any crime, but just for fun. That was when Luna snapped. She had called upon the nightmare, but her plan failed and she was ripped away from her lover."

Luna shook her head, trying to get the painful memory out of her head, and saw the tapestry of celestia banishing her, it was placed in her room as a reminder as what happened before. Luna walked over to look at it. A red circle was drawn on it, in the background. This is where Starlight would have been standing when he saw Luna being defeated by Celestia and sent to the moon.

Luna turned around to look at Drax, who was still knocked out and laying on her bed. Luna levitated him up and tucked him under the covers, and she followed. Getting into the bed, facing away from Drax she started to fall into sleeps comforting grasp. It was then she the sky was shattered by a  huge bolt of lightning that had come from the Canterlot weather production center. This was followed by huge ear shattering cracks of thunder. She had always been a bit weary of thunder and lightning, but after being on the moon, she was deathly afraid of it. The thunder reminded her of the constant meteor impacts that rockd the moon's surface, which had almost killed her a good 500 times.

The lightning ripped across the sky, looking as if the sun had used its fiery rays of light as whips to crack the very sky. The thunder blasted and its echo reverberated within her royal bedroom.

Luna could take no more of this alone, she turner onto her other side and found Drax, still passed out and she wrapped her fore legs, hind legs and wings around him, puling him as close to her as she could. She placed her head in a position that her horn would not harm Drax if either of them were to move.

Tears running down her eyes from fear she began to feel relaxed again, even if she had not known Drax for more than a few hours, she felt a type of connection that she could not explain. It felt like the same bond that she and Starlight had shared those many years ago.

Luna, now fully relaxed, was able to put aside her fear and indulge herself in this new confidence that she had found within herself.

"Please let this one work out" Luna said, and then let the sweet relaxing touch of sleep engulf her and carry her off to the magical land of dreams.
