The Monster

Bell woke up that morning to the smell of pancakes. They smelled good, but she had not had them since she was a filly many years ago.

"Morning sugar-cube!" A bright orange face was about a yard away from hers.

Bell jumped back in surprise.

"Sorry there, ah wasn't plannin' on scarin' you like that," Applejack said.

"It's fine, I didn't break anything so I'm good." Bell responded.

"Well then, breakfast is ready! Come eat when ya want!" She said as she walked into the kitchen.

Bell walked to the area Applejack went, guessing it was were she got her food. The second she walked in the light pink one jumped up from out of no where.

"Good morning! We made you breakfast!" She shouted

"Ah!" Bell practically hit the ceiling she was so tall and Pinkie Pie made her jump pretty high.

"Hahaha! Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you! But that was funny!" She was on the floor laughing.

"Are you alright sugar-cube? Ya seem really jumpy this mornin," Applejack asked

"Yeah, I'm fine." She responded "Just getting used to this new, uh, house-tree-thing."

"Well, I hope you slept well," Twilight asked as she walked in.

"Yeah, I slept fine." Bell responded.

"Well Rainbowdash, Rarity, and Spike are all out getting some stuff." Twilight said.

Bell just noticed the light yellow one with pink hair over in a corner table, eating silently. She glanced over, then seeing Bell was staring right back at her, she turned her head back to the food. Bell reconized the look, fear. She was scared. Bell grabbed her pancakes and sat across from her.

"Hey," Bell said.

She sat there, silent and still as a rock.

"Are you ok? You seem very quiet," she asked

All she did was nod.

"Don't mind her," Rainbowdash said as she walked into the kitchen. "She's just shy."

"Oh, ok,"

"Well now that your back, did you get my books?" Twilight asked Rainbowdash

"Yep right here!" She said as she dumped a bag of books on the floor.

"Be careful! These are important!" She replied as she used magic to stack them. There was a knock at the door.

"Coming!" Twilight shouted as she ran to the door. When she opened it she found Princess Celestia staring down at her.

"Hello Twilight Sparkle." She said in the most serious voice you would ever hear her say.
