The changelings have always lived a hard, parasitical existence. They've been forced to appease others simply for food, and their Queen hasn't always shown them down the golden road.

With the annual United Neightions summit fast approaching, however, Chrysalis is determined to make a change in the world's opinion of them, and to make amends with herself. Unfortunately, a group of griffin religious fanatics backed by a sinister slave trading corporation may not make this easy. And with her old enemy, Twilight Sparkle, representing Equestria, the most powerful nation in the world, her task may yet be impossible.

With her home islands blockaded and the ability for her people to gather new food running low, Chrysalis' desperate quest to make peace is becoming all the more pressing. And how can she possibly manage to accomplish this when she barely believes it can be done herself?

With a few unexpected friends gained, and a bit of optimism she's long lost bound to return, Chrysalis is about to find out that the world isn't as dark as it seems, and that even someone like her can gain forgiveness.
