Two months prior to the changeling invasion of Canterlot, Equestria launched its first shuttle into space. The massive ship's goal was to successfully reach the moon, gather minerals for study, and return home in time for Princess Cadence's wedding. But something went wrong, horribly wrong. Fifty days after launch the ship was completely destroyed. No wreckage, no survivors, and no inclination as to what occurred were found.
