One ODST's adventure in Equestriaby CancerousGingerScorpioChaptersA random portalThe following chapterInto the Belly of the Malevolent GraceThe second to last chapterA random portalIt was a cloudy night in Equestria, but it was strangely very warm in Twilight’s house. “Twilight, can you please shut up and stop moaning? I’m trying to sleep.” Said Spike. “I’m sorry Spike, I just can’t stop thinking about that message future Twilight gave me. It’s been bothering me all day.” Said Twilight. Spike sighed and said with tiredness, “Maybe I’ll just sleep outside tonight.” “Okay then Spike, I hope I don’t bother you out there.” She said. “Man, Twilight just needs to calm down and rest. Maybe in the morning she’ll be okay.” Said Spike. The next day he came back inside and saw that Twilight was calmly reading a book about the history of Ponyville. So he just went into the kitchen to make himself some breakfast, when she suddenly yelled, “Spiiiiiiiiike can you get me a book on resurrection and transformation spells!” “Sure thing Twilight.” Said Spike. “I don’t know why I’m still here.” He mumbled under his breath. “Sir, a portal has opened up to an unknown area!” Said an O.D.S.T trooper. “Well then, let’s send our number one portal tester through. ODST Epsilon, get over here ASAP.” Said the commander. “Sir Yes Sir!” said ODST Epsilon. “I need you to see where this portal goes to!” Said the commander. So, Epsilon went through the portal. But as soon as he went through, he realized that this portal wasn’t any normal portal. But it was too late. He already felt himself being covered by an aurora of digital orange. “Help, somebody help me!” He yelled. But he already knew that no one could hear him. “Well I might as well see where the portal is taking me.” He thought aloud. A few hours later, he woke up from his portal nap. “Where am I?” he asked himself. “You’re in Equestria.” Said a white mare, who we all know is, DJ Pon3. “You new around here alicorn boy? Haven’t seen you before.” She said. “I…I’m an ALICORN!?!?!?!” Said Epsilon. “Yeah, you’re an alicorn. So what happened? You just fell out the sky and passed out?” asked DJ Pon3. “Well, for your information,” Epsilon said with authority, “It just so happened that I came out of a portal from a place called Requiem. Is that anywhere near here?” “Sorry. No place called Requiem around here. But you’re welcome to come to my house with me and stay the night. By the way, what’s your name?” She asked. “My name? Oh, right! My name is Epsilon and I am ODST number 115935.” He said. “Well then Epsilon, My name is DJ Pon3. But you can call me Vinyl or Vinyl Scratch,” She said, “Come on, I’ll get you back to my house.” A few minutes later, Epsilon was at Vinyl’s house drinking some coffee and eating apples. “So, how long was I out?” asked Epsilon. “Oh, I don’t know, say 10 hours, give or take.” said Vinyl. “Wwwww…WHAT!?!? I WAS OUT FOR 10 HOURS! I could have found a way out by now!” yelled Epsilon. “Calm down, calm down. Everything is going to be fine. Hey, now that I think about it, you look kind of like me.” Vinyl said. “You’re right, I need to stop worrying. Just…. who is the smartest pony around here? They might know where anything that might help me could be.” Epsilon asked. Vinyl sat there, rubbing her chin, thinking. Suddenly, she knew whom Epsilon should ask. “I know who you should ask! You should ask Twilight Sparkle. She knows just about everything about Equestria. She might probably know about what you’re talking about.” Vinyl replied. So Epsilon said thanks and went to find Twilight Sparkle’s house. When Epsilon finally found Twilight’s house, he had already searched every other house. He knocked on the door, and a purple pony instantly answered it. “Are you Twilight Sparkle?” asked Epsilon. “Yes, I am Twilight Sparkle. Are you a royal messenger?” Twilight asked with enthusiasm. “Err, sorry I’m no royal messenger. But can you help me? I was teleported here from a place called Requiem. Have you seen anything made of a hard, gray, metal by chance?” asked Epsilon with hope. Twilight replied, “I do believe I have seen something like that,” She looked around suspiciously, “Here, come inside. And DON’T tell ANYONE about this.” She whispered. “Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a blade in my eye.” Epsilon swore. So they went inside, and Twilight told him where to go. She also said to go with a partner. “Can’t you come with me? It would be better if you came.” Epsilon asked. “Well I would, but I have to make sure that Ponyville doesn’t get destroyed or something like that. Sorry.” Said Twilight. So Epsilon went back to Vinyl’s house to ask her if she could come with him. As they were walking through the forest, a gray pegasus fell right in front of them. “Mother of…. oh it’s just Derpy.” said Vinyl. “Who is Derpy? She’s the pegasus right in front of us, isn’t she?” Epsilon asked. “Do you have any muffins?” Derpy asked. “Sorry Derpy, but I’m saving this muffin for Octavia. It’s not for you.” said Vinyl, with empathy. Derpy looked somewhat sad, but perked up instantly when remembered that she already had some cooking at her house. “Well, I have to go. My muffin senses are tingling!” proclaimed Derpy, and left with a swoosh. So they continued on their way, with no more distractions. Soon they found the metal, gray bulk that Epsilon was searching for: The UNSC Intimate. But Epsilon also saw a few other things he didn’t expect to find: The Covenant & the Flood. “This is bad, very, very bad,” said Epsilon, “Let me get out my SMG. Here, Vinyl, take my Assault Rifle.” “I don’t need it, I’ve got my bass cannon with me,” Proclaimed Vinyl, “Well then, you ready to go?” “Heh…I WAS BORN READY!!!!” Epsilon shouted, and they ran into the field of combat. Bullets and plasma flew everywhere. Vinyl had shot a squad of Flood infected elites, and they all disintegrated. “Score one for the DJ! Woo!” She said with glee. “Keep going, we are almost there!” Said Epsilon. But as soon as Epsilon said that, a plasma bolt hit Vinyl. “AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!” She screamed. Epsilon came running to her. “Are you okay? Wait, what am I thinking you were shot; of course you’re not. Here, I’m going to apply some anti-burn cream to the wound, it might sting a little.” Epsilon said. He applied the cream with carefulness, making sure not to hurt Vinyl. “Don’t leave me here Epsilon, please don’t leave me.” Vinyl said in a weak voice. “I won’t leave ya. I promise. Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a blade in my eye.” Said Epsilon. So, he carried her to the Intimate, and told her that he was going to take her to the infirmary wing of the ship. Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a blade in my eye.” Said Epsilon. So, he carried her to the Intimate, and told her that he was going to take her to the infirmary wing of the ship. “Vinyl, I want you to stay here and stay safe. If anything comes near you, shoot it. Except for me.” Epsilon said. “Sure thing. Hey, I want to go with you back to Earth with you when the time comes.” Vinyl said weakly. So he promised her that he would come back to get her and went to find the slip-space control room. 2 human flood combat forms, however, blocked his path. “You want to go against me, don’t you? Well then, TAKE THIS!!!!” He shouted, and bullets started flying everywhere. After a brief session of shooting, Epsilon continued towards the slip-space control room. He was almost halfway there, when a Hunter had appeared. “Not one of you guys. Really! Really! I thought getting there was hard enough, but with you here? “No, let’s make it harder for him to get to the slip-space control room.” Well, I guess I will kill you then.” Epsilon said, ripping out the orange worms in the Hunter. Soon, he was at the slip-space control room. “Well, I go in, activate a slip-space portal to Earth, get out, get Vinyl, find a pelican, and drop a bomb to kill all of these mother buckers, then leave to Earth.” He thought aloud. He entered the control room and activated a portal to Earth. Then he went to get Vinyl. “Come on Vinyl, you can make it! Just a little farther to the Pelican.” Epsilon said. He and Vinyl where trying to carry a bomb to the Pelican so they could drop it from the sky. “This thing is so heavy,” Vinyl said, “I can’t feel my arms anymore!” Even though it hurt, they kept going. When they reached the Pelican, they loaded it on and flew out of the UNSC Intimate. “Drop the bomb on my mark,” Epsilon said, “3…2…. 1. DROP!” Vinyl pushed the bomb out of the hull of the Pelican, and it dropped like a stone towards the ground. Just as they reached the portal, the bomb hit the ground. They weren’t there to see the explosion, but they did feel it. “This is your pilot speaking, we are on our way to Earth. Don’t worry about the orange aurora around you and the plane. It’s nothing.” Epsilon said. “Well let’s see this “Earth” place that you’re from.” Said Vinyl. But Epsilon didn’t know that one of the engines was silently failing. When they reached Earth, Epsilon saw that the back engines were failing. Suddenly, the cargo door opened, and they saw Derpy standing there. “Your fire-things aren’t working.” Derpy said. “Well no dip Sherlock Holmes.” Replied Epsilon in a frustrated voice. The Pelican suddenly started descending rapidly, while Derpy, Vinyl, and Epsilon were holding on to not fly out of the cargo bay door. “Somebody please shut this door!” Vinyl yelled. “I’m on, I got it, don’t worry!” Epsilon said, and he hit the close button on the door controls. The door closed, and they all let go of whatever they were holding onto. “Okay, now how are we going to stop the crash?” Vinyl asked. Epsilon looked out through the cockpit window and saw that they were extremely close to the ground and trees. “BRACE FOR IMPACT! WE’RE GOING DOWN!!” He shouted. When they hit the ground, a Magnum that was kept in the cockpit knocked out Epsilon. When Epsilon came to, he found that the Covenant was searching the Pelican for survivors and anything useful to use to fight the UNSC. He also saw that Vinyl and Derpy were being hauled away by 2 Elite Generals. He looked around for a gun, but all he found was a Magnum. “I guess this’ll have to do.” He said, and aimed the magnum at the Elites’ heads. He was able to kill one but was then kicked in the face by an Elite Field Marshall. “This one is still alive,” Said an Elite Minor, “What should we do with him?” “Take him to the Malevolent Grace, we will find out what he knows.” The Field Marshall said. The Elite Minor picked him up and dragged him away without any care for him. As he was being dragged away, he saw that Vinyl and Derpy were being taken to a separate Phantom drop ship. When he was dragged on the Phantom an Elite said, “You are coming with us Demon.” But at that exact moment, a Falcon appeared and the pilot said, “No he isn’t Split-Jaw!”, and the pilot opened fire on the Phantom, killing the Elites on board. “Come on, get on before I blow up the Phantom!” Said the pilot. Epsilon ran off and jumped onto the Falcon. He did just before the pilot blew up the Phantom. “Too dang close man, too dang close.” Epsilon said. “Jeez, sorry, I thought I was supposed to blow it up,” Said the pilot, “Alright, we’re heading back to Fire Base Sierra. Your squad members are there, waiting for you.” Into the Belly of the Malevolent GraceAt Fire Base Sierra, he was regrouped with his squad. “Bro, what happened to you? You look like hammered crap.” Said one of his squad mates. “I do?” Epsilon said, looking himself over to see if it was true. “I guess I do look like crap. I’ll tell you what happened to me in the War Room.” His squad mates, eager to hear what happened to him, followed him to the War Room. At the war Room, everyone there had a very serious face, concerned about the Covenant on Earth. “So, Sergeant, tell us what happened.” Said Olivia, the squad’s sniper. Epsilon tried to think of a way to tell them without it seeming unrealistic or stupid. When he couldn’t find a way to tell them, he just told them directly what happened. “Okay, so after I disappeared, I was teleported to a place called “Equestria”. And….” “So, did you make this up? I’m not stupid, and there is no place called “Equestria” on any tactical map that I know of.” Said Axton, the squad’s smart guy. “No, I did not make this up, now can I continue,” said Epsilon, and continued,” After I had entered, I was out for 10 hours, until a white… pony, came and took me to shelter. She gave me food and drink, and helped me get back. I owe her my life and now I need to get her out of the Covenant’s disgusting hands.” The entire squad looked at him, trying to not laugh. “So, you saw a talking horse? Seems pretty stupid and childish.” Said Olivia. “Trust me guys. It wasn’t stupid. The Covenant was there.” Said Epsilon. Suddenly, the entire squad fell silent, and Olivia said, “Well then we must stop them.” “No need, me and Vinyl killed them all, and painted the dirt with their blood.” Said Epsilon, “And I’m going to save her no matter what. Are you with me guys?” The rest of the squad looked at him in disbelief, until Olivia finally said,”Alright, I’m in. How about the rest of you.” Axton, one to not join in on childish things said, “Nope. I’m not going to help you rescue a horse. I swore to protect HUMANS, not horses.” “Axton, she turned into a human when we were teleported here. So that means that you have to help.” Axton, since he swore to protect humanity said, “Fine I’ll come with.” Epsilon thought to himself, “Alright, now that I have a team I can get there with support and get out alive.” “Command, this is Call sign 115935 over.” “Yes Epsilon, what do you need over.” “We need a small Frigate, preferably the Forward Unto Dusk.” “Negative soldier. You know you can’t have access to this type of equipment.” “Fine. Do we at least have access to any of the prototype Heavy Weight Calibration Assault Armor?” “Yes you, do have access to it. What do you require it for, exactly?” “We’re going to take down the Malevolent Grace flagship.” “Alright then. What else will you require?” “Two E.V.A. Suits, 70000 heavy caliber 7.69mm bullets, a charged thermite bomb… and the Forward Unto Dusk.” “Alright. Take the ship. Just make sure it comes back in one piece.” [TRANSMISSION ENDED> PLEASE SIGN OUT OF SYSTEM] “Alright soldiers, I just got us a one way ticket to the Malevolent Grace flagship. Lets move out.” Epsilon said. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Things were not going well for Vinyl and Derpy. They had been knocked out cold, beaten, yelled at for “intelligence”, beaten even more, and shackled to a purple and green wall by what appeared to be electricity. “Derpy….(cough, spits up blood)….. you still with me?” the D.J. asked. Derpy did not move. Suddenly, she awoke in a sense of panic, yelling, “MONSTERS! ALIENS! MY MUFFINS! WHERE ARE THEY? SOMEPONY HELP US!!!” Vinyl shushed the grey Pegasus, and looked around to see if any of the aliens had heard them. Their guard alien only stared at them with its cold, beady eyes, staring at them with hate. “It’s okay Mr. Alien thing. We can’t hurt you. After all we, are chained to this wall, right?” Vinyl said uneasily. What would become of them? Would they die? And where was Epsilon? He should have saved us by now. Suddenly, another alien entered the room saying, “Well, well, well. These are the prisoners, eh? Take them to the torture chamber, let us see how long they can survive our beatings.” They suddenly hit the floor and lost consciousness. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Speeding towards the Malevolent Grace, the Forward Unto Dusk was readying to attack. “Epsilon, just what are you planning to do with that bomb exactly?” asked Olivia. Epsilon looked at her through the visor of the Heavy Weight Calibration Assault Armor, and said, “I’m going to destroy that ship once and for all no matter the final cost.” “Even your life?” “Yes, even my life.” The second to last chapterEpsilon studied the statistics on the visor. He had a 70% chance of death, and had a 30% chance he would escape alive, but with the cost of someone else’s life. “Okay. Axton, I want you to blow a hole in the hull of that ship in 10 seconds” “Roger that Sir. Alpha cannon and Bravo cannon powering up to maximum strength. Are you prepared for this sir?” Epsilon looked at his squad members. “Yes I am. As long as this armor holds up I shall be.” Epsilon, looking at the statistics on his visor, knew he would probably die. Alpha cannon suddenly fired, rocking the entire ship. Epsilon ran to the ejection port, opened the door, and jumped out. He activated the booster pack he had with him, and flew towards the Malevolent Grace. Bravo cannon discharged, sending the Malevolent Grace into attack mode. Epsilon swerved and strafed to avoid the sudden barrage of plasma bolts. He was nearing the blast hole when the ship suddenly cloaked. Since the suit was equipped with a thermal vision function, it revealed the ship instantly. “You can’t hide from me!” said Epsilon. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Derpy slumped to the ground unconscious. “The yellow haired one is weak. Now lets test the blue colored hair one.” The Elite Zealot said, chuckling to himself. The aliens were approaching with what appeared to be a purple and green whip with hexagonal patterns, when large blasts shocked the cruiser. “Rawwr!…. What in the name of the gods was that!” demanded the Elite Field Marshall. “[STATIC]…. It appears…[STATIC]…that we are under attack, Field Commander!” Said a voice coming from the Elite’s helm. Could that be Epsilon destroying the ship? Why is he so late? Oh well, he still came to save us. Vinyl thought in her head. She looked over to Derpy, her blonde hair splattered with blood, her wings almost broken off, her legs broken. Vinyl felt a tear run down her face. She was going to cry, when the room suddenly decompressed. She felt her lungs being ripped apart, when an alien grabbed her and put what appeared to be a sort of helm on her and Derpy. She immediately felt the air rushing back into her lungs. She had never been so happy to receive air. After all, in Equestria, she always had air. “Commander, we need to get to the hangar bay and escape this ship. It is going to detonate!” Said an alien. The Elite Field Marshall Looked at him and said, “No, you do not leave. Only I and the prisoners are to leave.” A look of surprise came upon Vinyl’s face. It then occurred to her that the alien in the white armor had the intention of killing her and Derpy, instead of interrogation. She turned to Derpy and immediately started floating toward her. She grabbed Derpy and started trying to drift towards the giant hole in the ship, when Epsilon burst into the ship at full speed. “Get down!” he yelled to Vinyl. She quickly maneuvered her way to the nearest piece of cover and waited there while Epsilon’s Gatling Cannon spun up to full speed. She saw the bullets tear through the aliens and purple blood float in the cold vacuum of space. She saw the alien in white escape, but not before it’s leg was shot off. “It’s okay Vinyl, you’re safe now.” She heard Epsilon say. Epsilon looked at her through the helmet visor. The technology in the visor analyzed her body and Derpy’s body and told him that they were both at critical condition. “Come, I have one last thing I need to do aboard this foul ship.” He said. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. They ran and ran until they reached the Weapons storage. “What are you going to do?” Vinyl asked. “I plan on blowing this h311 hole to bits.” He replied. He pulled out the thermite bomb that he had stashed in his inventory. He set the timer for thirty minutes, enough time for Vinyl and Derpy to escape “Listen, I’m going to need you to put this on,” He said, taking out two EVA suits, “Put one on Derpy as well.” He started the bomb. As expected he heard the heavy footsteps of Hunters and Elites. “Vinyl, I need you to get out of here.” “Bu…but what about you?” “I need to stay here to make sure that the bomb goes of and this ship is gone.” He said pulling out the arm mounted Gatling gun. Vinyl realized that he was not going to leave no matter what. She took hold of Derpy and started to run in the opposite direction the footsteps were coming from. After she had went through a corridor, she started to hear the sound of flesh and bone split from the force of high powered brass

Your squad members are there, waiting for you.”
Into the Belly of the Malevolent GraceAt Fire Base Sierra, he was regrouped with his squad. Epsilon looked at her through the visor of the Heavy Weight Calibration Assault Armor, and said, “I’m going to destroy that ship once and for all no matter the final cost.” “Even your life?” “Yes, even my life.”
The second to last chapterEpsilon studied the statistics on the visor.
