The Quest of the Broken Water Fixture.
Gcdm stared intently at his kitchen sink. He hasn't moved for the past 4 hours, his vision locked onto the water fixture. The burgundy unicorn let out a disgruntled humph as the sink leaks, each drop making an audible 'bloop' noise as it hit the basin.
Gcdm knew what he had to do. There was no other choice now, his destiny was set in stone. And with that, he walked to his room and went to his bookshelf, using his horn to tug on a book and the entire shelf sank under the floor to reveal a secret passageway. He nonchalantly walked into his secret room, a appeared smug smirk on his face, unphased by the challenge that lay before him.
Various tools, weapons, and quite silly objects lined the walls of the room. He was armed to the gills with a sizeable collection of tools, weapons, and (for whatever reason) the largest collection on rubber chickens with a pulley in the middle known to pony. He continued his way down to the "w" section of the hall of tools and stopped. His mouth hanging as where his wrench once was is a note that reads, "I owe you one wrench after the incident with the chocolate rain and the resulting reaction from my stomach. Love, Gcdm."
"Damn you, me, damn you to the cold barren moooooooooon!!!" Gcdm cried out. With the wrench gone, how will he ever fix the leaky sink? He contemplated calling a plumber.....No! He was more than able to fix the sink, but without a wrench....he would need to go on a quest. A quest....to obtain ANOTHER WRENCH!
He rushed out of the secret room as fast as his hooves could move him and skidded to a stop....overshooting it a bit and causes him to crash into the wall.
He shook the impact off, and looked at his nightstand. In the most dramatic way possible, he collected his....KEYS....WALLET....and MOBILE PHONE!!!
Though he doesn't really recollect why he bought a smartphone with a capacitive touchscreen, since his hooves can't really use it with out using a stylus. Never the matter, he tossed his belongings into a satchel and slung it on.
He was ready...
He stepped out through the front door of his small home and look at the environment around him. It was a sunny day, and according to the pegasus weather report on the local paper, it's supposed to remain that way for the rest of the week. Gcdm chuckled to himself, "At least something is going my way. But I mustn't let such pleasantries distract me." He made a not really that far trek to the location of the all powerful wrench he needed for his quest.....the hardware store.
He arrived at the store and stepped through the rather large double doors the store had. Gcdm was paralyzed in awe at what was before him. Scanners, hammers, even chainsaws lined the aisles of the huge store. They had everything that he could ever imagine....and more. The sight alone brought a tear to his eye...and he slowly began walking towards the bounty of hardware.
But he stopped. He knew he would have to pass up this treasure trove of potentially lethal collection of wonders, and leave it for another time.
He browsed through the aisles for what seemed to him, ages. But after a lap or two, he found the perfect item for the job, a iron crescent wrench.
"May I help you, sir?"
An employee stood behind Gcdm, startling him. "Sweet celestia!!! My cover's blown! I gotta get the hoof out of here!" He shouted. He speed with all his might towards the exit, leaving exact change on the counter, and bolted out the door. Leaving the only thing the cashier able to say,"Come again?"
Gcdm hid behind a tree, breathing heavily, and looked at his new wrench. "Now.....now to vanquish that foul leak." He came home...dropped his things at the living room, carrying only his wrench as he stepped into the kitchen. The tension was so tense, you could of sliced it with a knife. He glared at the leak, and.....the leak...might of glared back? Gcdm was quick to draw first, attacking the leak by quickly tightening the valve under the counter....and quickly disappeared.
"Guahahahaha! I am unstoppable! I..AM...GCD-" *splash*
Gcdm looked under his hoof, where a puddle was growing beneath him....he broke the pipe. He....he failed. And the leak had won. Gcdm shivered, and fell to the floor, pounding the puddle with his hooves, shouting at the top of his lungs, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! .....screw it, I'll just call the plumber."
