Chapter 3

Previous Chapter

Dear Princess Celestia,
Your last letter arrived as I was out at Rainbows house, so I apologise for not giving an immediate response as I have with the last few letters. I was there to retrieve some books she’d borrowed a short while ago and we seem to have had our own incident. What happened was… well very similar to when Luna walked in on you.
Anyway if there was one thing I’ve learned so far from this, it’s that we should be honest with ourselves and face the problems that come our way. I had asked her earlier if she would be the one to give me the lesson and we agreed she should sleep on it. From the incident tonight I think it’s safe to say that she isn’t opposed to the idea.
Your Faithful Student,
Twilight Sparkle.

Celestia received the letter early the next morning. She was intrigued by the fact that Twilight had had an incident of her own, mere hours after she had decided she would try to help her. She was such a good student. Maybe she shouldn’t have involved her in something as petty as this? However Celestia needed to focus. Twilight’s letter had given her some confidence about talking with Luna.
“There’s no time like the present,” she told herself and off she went to find her sister.

As soon as Celestia had thrust open the door it rebounded with a loud crack. She heard a small moan of pain and peeked around the doorframe to see Luna dusting herself off.
“Good morning sister,” Luna managed, her head still throbbing.
“Good Morning Luna,” Celestia had prepared herself to face her sister about the issue at hoof but maybe not as soon as right this moment.
“There is something we need to talk about,” they said in unison. An awkward pause passed as they both waited for the other to start. Luna broke the silence,
“Celestia we can’t go on with this awkwardness.”
“I know Luna. I have decided that I will teach you about those more intimate parts of ponies’ lives today, or well the aspect that you wished me too. Shall we say tomorrow evening?” Celestia looked to her sister openly. Luna paused,

“Yes… surely… tomorrow evening it is.” Luna never thought it would be that easy. Her sister had just done all the awkward hard work for her. With nothing much more to say Luna continued down the hall and Celestia retreated back into her bedroom.

There was a knock on Twilight's door. That was odd, not many ponies were up at this hour of the morning. She opened the door to see a red cheeked Rainbow Dash catching her breath just outside her door.
“Rainbow?”
“Yes, but can we do it tonight?” Rainbow blurted the words out immediately after Twilight had said her name.
“Sorry, do what tonight.” Twilight asked.
“Um… the lesson, tonight, if that’s okay with you.” Rainbow said finally slowing down her breathing and the production of little clouds of fog coming from her mouth. Twilight giggled,
“You just sounded like Fluttershy.” Rainbow’s cheeks went a shade redder. They stood there paused in the crisp morning air for the few seconds until Twilight realised that Rainbow was still asking for an answer.
“Yes, tonight should be fine, Spike is helping Rarity with the Crusaders, they’re having another one of their sleepovers and-,”

“Cool,” Rainbow interrupted, and then took off without a moment’s notice.

“Ok good work, I’ll see you tomorrow then my number one assistant,” Twilight told Spike as he went through the front door. Spike beamed at the compliment which had really become a nickname,
“See-ya tomorrow Twilight.” Twilight watched as Spike set off into the night. Well if she was to be perfectly honest with herself it wasn’t quite night time yet, the dull glow of the sun now behind the horizon could still be seen. She giggled to herself for about the fifth time today, it was twilight. She wondered why she was in such a good mood today as she closed the front door to the library and made her way back into the main room.

There was a knock at the door. Her first thought was that Spike had forgotten something, but then she realised who was actually behind the quick knock. Her suspicions were confirmed as she opened the door yet again revealing the sky blue mare.
“Hi Twilight,” Dash said as she strode into the room. To anyone other than Twilight and her closest friends Dash would have looked completely normal, but Twilight could see that Dash was more nervous than she was letting on. Of course Twilight was nervous too, but this was a side of Rainbow that wasn’t often seen by anypony. Rainbow broke the silence,
“Soooo,” the drawn out word did nothing other than fill space. Both ponies knew why they were here and what was going to happen soon, but neither had the courage to bring it up.
“Your here early,” Twilight said with a small smile.
“Yeah, I saw spike leaving and knew that…” Rainbow trailed off.
“Rainbow were you waiting outside for him to leave?” Twilight gave her a knowing smile. Rainbow opened her mouth to deny it but knew there would be no point lying straight out to her.
“Yeah um just a little while, no biggie,” she said. Rainbow had actually been lazing about the clouds near Twilights house for a couple hours now, but she didn’t want to sound… well, she wasn’t sure but now the silence was back again.
“Would you like some tea?” Twilight asked.

“Yeah sure,” Rainbow quickly responded to the offer and made her way into the kitchen after Twilight. Both mares could tell it would be a while before the task at hand was even attempted.

After hours of small talk and ‘just hangin’, as Rainbow would put it, they both decided that it was time for bed. Twilight had offered for Rainbow to stay the night and she had agreed. They made their way up towards the bedroom and again their thoughts were in tune. It would hopefully be a while until they fell asleep. They made it into Twilight’s room just fine but the awkwardness had once again caught up with them. Twilight looked as if she was ready for the lesson, even eager, but she really didn’t know how to start. Dash figured she’d take on that responsibility and simply asked Twilight if she would like to get started.
“Uh yeah,” Twilight blushed, “So, uh…”
“Let’s go over to your bed where we’ll be more comfortable”
“Ok,” Twilight was clearly very nervous, but she knew that this was something she had asked for and wanted to learn, for both the benefit of herself and Celestia. They took their places on the bed. Twilight was half sitting half laying with her back against the head of the bed, and Dash sat more upright at the other end. Rainbow made the first move, she spread her legs and Twilight followed her lead. A blush coloured both the mares faces and Dash tried to regain some composure,
“The art of pleasuring oneself, designed and performed by the one and only Rainbow Dash,” Rainbow struck her most thoughtful pose looking up off to the left with a hoof on her chest. Twilight giggled yet again. Good the joke had worked, now both mares were relaxed and they could begin. Dash looked at Twilight and saw her friend face eager to learn and knew it was finally happening.
“So,” Dash began, “there are many different methods and techniques to this but I’m only here to teach you the basics.” Twilight nodded. “So the simplest way for us is to rub and massage out clit’.” Dash began to gently stroke the outermost parts of her most sensitive area.
“Oh you mean the vulva,” Twilight interrupted.
“uh yeah sure,” Dash looked up and saw Twilight with a notepad and quill suspended in her magic in front of her.
“Twi’ what are you doing?” Dash interrupted her note taking and pushed the pad away, “this is something you have to feel, not something you have to write down!” Dash reached down and touched Twilight where she had never been touched before. The distraction made Twilight drop the notepad altogether and she was just as surprised as Dash was. Rainbow realised what she was doing, pulled back, and sat back down as she was before.
“Anyway, do as I do,” Dash moved her hoof back to her own pussy, for lack of a better word, and started again. Gently stroking and occasionally moving the edge of her hoof between the lips and giving them slow little flicks. Spreading it out and opening it up a bit. She began a more regular massage as she looked up to see how Twilight was going. The view was better than dash could have ever imagined. Twilight looked so cute it was indescribable. Her tongue poked slightly out of her mouth in concentration, but her eyes showed such lust and absorption in her task. Twilight looked up and Rainbow realised that she was looking to her to see what to do next.
“Ok good, um, just move in your own rhythm and gradually increase speed and pressure when it feels right.” Twilight didn’t need to be told twice, she got right to it! She moved her hoof in way which seemed like she had been doing this for ages, and as Dash watched she had to remind herself that this was just a one off thing. That was when the first little moan escaped Twilight's mouth. Dash looked up at her face and saw that she had thrown her head back and closed her eyes.

Dash was invisible to her now. As Twilight got more and more into it, more and more sounds emanated throughout the Library. Dash’s heat skipped a beat, what was happening here? She was just sitting here staring lustfully at one of her best friends this wasn’t right this image right in front of her was the same as last night. She didn’t have the right to see this, not without telling Twilight the truth.
“Twilight stop,” she said firmly. Twilight stopped instantly and looked up at her. Her face was full of innocence now,
“did I do something wrong?” she asked, somehow snapping out of her lustful state easily.
“Not really,” Rainbow said softly, “it’s just, I can’t watch this. It’s not my place.” Twilight stared into the eyes of her friend and she knew something was wrong. The mood of seconds ago was gone.
“What is it Rainbow?”
“Oh um…”
“Rainbow you don’t have to hide your feelings from me,” Twilight told her with all sincerity.
“Well, ya see… Twi’ I like you,” Rainbow blushed and pulled back a bit, legs firmly together now, “and not just as a friend.” The Pegasus looked up into her friend’s eyes only to see what appeared to be a mix of surprise and confliction. “That’s why I agreed to this whole thing.”
“Oh,” The way Twilight said the word was somehow reassuring but also showed her surprise, “well I can see how that makes sense. To be honest this wasn’t even my idea.”
“It wasn’t?”
“No, well, a dear friend of mine ran into a situation where she was asked to teach her friend these things and I was conducting some field research for her.” Twilight tried to put it as kindly as possible but it still didn’t sound good.
“Oh,” was all Rainbow could muster, all hope that her friend returned her feelings dashed. Twilight reached over and lifted her friends head up to look at her,
“but that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to do it. Rainbow the reason I asked you to do this with me was because I trust you. And to be perfectly honest you’re really pretty.” The hope relighted in Rainbow’s eyes,
“You really mean that Twilight?”
“Yes I do Rainbow Dash. I’m not sure if I do like you back, as you know I didn’t have much of a social life before you girls came into my life, I don’t really know what to expect, but I’m willing to give it a try. Let’s figure out our feeling first ok?” Rainbow knew that Twilight meant every word she just said.
“Yeah, sure,” Rainbow said to her best friend and hoped that soon that title would change.
