A Nightmare in Equestria

At Canterlot Castle the Princesses were really worried about the murder spree going on in Ponyville. And confused when not one single clue could be found to lead them towards the culprit. Luna was the one most effected. The killer killed ponies when it was night time and it was making the citizens afraid to go out at night. Even more that the most recent murders was of the filly Sweetie Belle and almost every orphan in the orphanage. Some were killed, others were wounded badly and bleeding and had to put in the hospital.

'we still can't believe somepony would try to kill some other pony.' Luna thought to herself.

"Sister. Is something troubling you?" Celestia asked.

"Oh Tia. We didn't hear you come in." Luna said,

"We're just worried about these murders. Nopony has been able to find a clue that could lead us to the culprit. And now the ponies so fearful they refuse to fall asleep to not risk the killer making them their latest victim."

"... I'm concerned as well. If we don't find out who this culprit is we'll have to live in fear." The white alicorn said.

"Don't worry. we're sure Twilight and her friends, minus one, will be able to find out who it is." The blue alicorn said.

"I'm sure as well. Lu-Lu." Celestia said.

"Hm? Didn't I tell you thou not to call us that?" Luna asked.

"Oh right. Old habbits die hard." The white alicorn said,

"Good night Luna."

"Good night Celestia." Luna said.

As Celestia trotted out the door Luna went out to the balcony and stared out at Ponyville.

'Whoever is doing this must pay. I'm not going to just sit here while that murderer goes about harming my subjects.' Luna thought to herself.

She then went over to her bed and decided to get some sleep. While she was sleeping she heard the sound of metal scratching against metal. She got out and walked out of the door and saw the outside turn into a dark corridor. She trotted down the corridor and then saw a boiler room replace the halls of Canterlot Castle.

"Tia. Are you pulling pranks on me again?" The moon princess called.

She didn't get an answer but what she did get was an evil laughter,

"Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh."

"Who's there?!" Luna shouted.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Well, well, well look what we have here. A princess. I've never had royalty in my world. Then again heh, heh I am the ruler." The voice went.

"Show thyself!" Luna shouted.

"As you wish." The voice went.

Suddenly a wall of flames appeared and they seemed to go together to form a body of some sort. Then the flames disappeared and a figure was there instead.

"What are thou?" The moon princess asked.

"I'm the shadow in the moon at night filling your dreams to the brim with fright. I'm the Prince of Nightmares, The Master of Darkness. The names Krueger ... Freddy Krueger. You're worst nightmare." The creature said menacingly.

"... I have no fears." Luna said.

"Really? I beg to differ. Besides what's a dream demon with the powers to walk the planes of the dream world supposed to do with someone who doesn't fear anything?" The dream demon said.

"You have the powers to enter ponies dreams? So do I. Do you help ponies who have nightmare troubles?" The night princess asked.

"Heh heh heh heh heh. You see this bladed glove on my hand? It ain't for show. I use it. And I use it on people ... Or in this case ponies. Hm hm hm, want a special sneak peek at what I do?" Krueger asked sarcastically.

He then formed a green ball in his hands and some images appeared. Luna watched in horror to see some strange creatures like him getting massacred. Then she looked at horror to see the murders of the citizens of Ponyville. Then the orb disappeared and Krueger was laughing insanely.

"Enjoy the show mam? I was thinking about getting it on a video cassete and naming it, 'Krueger's Best Kills.' The demon joked and then laughed at it.

'This is creature is the culprit of all the deaths? And he has no remorse? Hmm. This creature is sick and cocky at that. He must pay his actions.' Luna thought.

"Hm. You actually think I'm gonna pay?" Krueger said.

"What? You read my thoughts?" Luna said confused.

"I have all sorts of powers. I can invade people's dreams, cause damage in here which results in damage in the real world, Manipulate this world into whatever I want, immortality, regenerate body parts, shapeshifting, telekinesis and I can withstand a whole lotta damage. Don't you forget it cause it'll be last thing you'll remember before you end up like the others ... dead." The insane killer threatened.

"Thou shall not get away for the actions you have brought forth on my land. Thou shall suffer the wrath of the Princess of the Night!" Luna shouted.

"Heh. You actually think you can take me on? Well, I'll give you a shot. But it will end with your head on my wall." The demon threatened.

Luna's horn then started glowing and magic blast was shot at Krueger. But he caught it with his hands and crushed it.

"That the best you got, bitch?" He joked.

Suddenly lightning came out of Luna's horn but Krueger swiped it away.

"*yamn* Not impressed." The springwood slasher said.

Then Luna fired fire out of her horn and it got Krueger on his arm. Suddenly she noticed him screaming in pain and fear and him yelling,

"Get it off! Get it off!"

Then the night princess saw fear in his eyes.

'So this creature is terrified of fire. Yet he used it to make his appearance. So he uses fire against his opponets but doesn't take kindly to it being used against him.' She thought.

The demon then put his entire arm in his mouth which extinquished the flame on it.

"You're good. But not that good. Yet I feel we have something in common."  The demon said.

"Thou and I have nothing in common!" Luna shouted.

"Don't deny it. We truely are the same. Plus I can sense something inside of you." Krueger said with a smile on his face.

The moon princess then knew what he was talking about: Nightmare Moon.

"I sense something dark, evil, strong. It appears you have been keeping it at bay and don't even try to use it. What is this force?" He asked.

"Like I'd tell you!" Luna shouted.

Then suddenly pipes came out of the walls and wrapped themselves around her.

"Not gonna talk? Well I have my ways of getting the information I need." Krueger chuckled.

He then pointed his bladed glove in front of her and then attached the blades to her head and then images of her memories started flowing into him. When he was done Krueger laughed evilly and said,

"So. Nightmare Moon huh? A creation of your angerment, jealousy and evilness growing inside of you. To the point where it finally corrupted you and you started kiddnapping fillies to the moon. I knew we were the same. And it appears that she took over your body and had no control over your actions. And then the Elements of Harmony turned you back to normal but sealed her inside of you. So you constantly keep at her bay. Heh heh heh, not for long. Once I absorb her powers I'll become stronger than ever."

He then phased his arms inside of Luna's body and a dark aura came onto his arms and inside his body. When the aura disappeared Krueger felt the powers of Nightmare Moon.

"Hm. Now let's give these powers a spin." He said.

Lightning came out of his hands, as did other elemental things, cause mists to appear and transform into one and many other powers.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!! It's like I ate an entire can of spinach, like Popeye. I really must thank you Luna for giving me the powers of Nightmare Moon and a fraction of your powers as well. Now I'm so powerfull no one will be able to stop me. Although I can sense other dark powers all over this land. Once I have collected their powers I shall become unstoppable. Farewell Luna and Equestria is doomed!!!" Krueger shouted and then disappeared in fire and his evil laughter could be heard all over.

Luna awoke with a shock and found she was back in her bedroom.

'I must alert the Royal Guard! This Freddy Krueger must be stopped!' Luna thought and then ran to alert her sister.
