Cheerilee rang the bell to call all of the young fillies and colts into the building to begin the school day. As the students sat down at their desks Cheerilee happily greeted the class, " Good morning everypony, before we get started this morning I have a big announcement to make, in a couple of weeks we are going the have the annual autumn flower dance! Celebrating the running of the leaves, The dance itself will take place in a couple of weeks during the autumn flower festival." The class was excited that it was time for the festival and the dance, except three fillies who gave each other a worried look. Cheerilee spoke up after the cheering died down, "Now in honor of the dance and the festival I thought that we could learn more about the running of the leaves." The class was less enthusiastic about the learning but they were still excited about the dance. As Cheerilee continued her lesson, the students were quietly conversing with there friends, asking each other who they were going to ask to the dance, with only three actually attempting to pay attention to the lesson being given. "Alright students it's time for lunch," announced Cheerilee to her class, all of the little ponies cheered as they all galloped to the outside of the building. Though the three fillies known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders walked out as they were talking about the dance, "so who do you think we should ask to the dance Scootaloo?" asked the red maned filly, as all three of them made it to a picnic table outside the school. "I don't know who we should ask there are plenty of colts and fillies we could ask, I guess..." Sweetie Belle interrupted. " But I don't want to go with just anypony Scootaloo, I want to go with somepony that I really like," Sweetie Belle pouted as she held her head with her hooves. "She's right Scootaloo I don't want to go with just somepony I'd like to go with somepony I really like," Applebloom looked disheartened. "Yea I would to actually..." as the three sat there Applebloom brought out three apples and gave two to her friends. "Wait, if we all want to go with ponies we like, why don't we try and figure out who we'd like to ask to the dance" offered Scootaloo too her two best friends, "YEA! that sounds like a great idea" happily responded Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, "now the only question is who would we like to go with?" inquired the yellow filly. Sweetie Belle was the first to speak up "well I'm not to sure about you two but, one colt I'd like to go with would be that colt from Trottingham, you know Pipsqueak..." both Applebloom and Scootaloo raised their eyebrows "really?" they both asked, "well, yea I think he's kind of you know cute," Sweetie Belle's white cheeks flushed with a tint a red as she finished her sentence. "yeeeaa, well lets keep our options open, what about you Applebloom, anypony you'd like to go with,"asked Scootaloo, "well I'm not really sure I've  never really thought about it before," Applebloom took a look at the playground where all the other ponies were, and smiled at the sight of a grey pegasus who only seemed to be talking to Pipsqueak. "But if I had to pick somepony to go with I guess I'd like to go with Rumble over there," Applebloom said pointing to the pegasus  that was talking to Pipsqueak, Applebloom had a small blush on her face as she turned to face Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, "well thats nice but, I hear rumble can be pretty shy around fillies Applebloom, you might have to work a little bit to ask him to the dance," explained Sweetie Belle. "Well what about you Scootaloo who would you like to ask to the dance" Asked both Applebloom and Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo looked nervous  she spaced out that she would have to answer the question too, she looked at her two best friends, she had an idea of who she'd like to take but wasn't sure she wanted to tell her friends. "Well... okay I'll tell you but you both have to promise me that you won't laugh, Okay?" Applebloom and Sweetie Belle looked at one another and simultaneously said "we promise that we won't laugh," with that Scootaloo let out a deep breath, "okay the pony I would really like to take to the dance is Dinky Hooves," Applebloom and Sweetie Belle looked shocked as Scootaloo continued "I don't know what it is, something about her little love of books and learning just makes her really cute to me," Sweetie Belle chimed in "awwweeee thats adorable Scootaloo," her friends statement caused her face to flush a crimson red. Seeing her friends embarrassment Applebloom interrupted "well it looks like we have the ponies we'd like to go with, now all we have to do is figure out how to ask them to the dance." as Applebloom finished her sentence, Cheerilee rang the bell signaling the end of lunch, the three Cutie Mark Crusaders joined the other ponies as they all headed back into the building. As Cheerilee continued where her lesson had left off, the three crusaders were paying attention when they noticed Silver Spoon passing them a note, the three of them took turns reading the note. I bet the three of you won't find a date in time for the dance. D.T. & S.S. The three of them looked over to Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon to see them snickering, and Diamond Tiara mouthing the words "good luck trying to get dates to the dance blank flanks, you're going to need it." The three crusaders looked at each other with determination in there eye's, silently they said "we'll show them who can get a date to dance." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Plan //-------------------------------------------------------// The Plan The school day had ended and the Cutie Mark Crusaders had just gotten to their club house at Sweet Apple Acres, the three of them were discussing the dance and how they were going to ask the ponies they wanted to go with. "But I don't see why I can't just ask Dinky to the dance Sweetie Belle!!!" Scootaloo was confused as to why Sweetie Belle was making a big deal about their dates. Sweetie Belle Argued back "Because this our first time asking anypony to a dance Scootaloo don't you want the moment to be special?" Scootaloo gazed at the ground for a moment "Yea... I guess I do, but still I'm no good at all this Mushy stuff Sweetie Belle, isn't there an easier way to do this?" Applebloom finally spoke up "Yea Scoots has got a point Sweetie Belle, isn't there an easier way to ask sompony to the dance?" both Scootaloo and Applebloom looked at Sweetie Belle with pleading eyes. "Well I'm not sure how you two feel about Rumble or Dinky but, I really like Pipsqueak and I really would like him to know how I feel and this dance is the perfect opportunity to let him know." When Sweetie Belle finished her sentence,  she returned her friends gaze. Applebloom and Scootaloo looked at one another, " Ya know she has a good point too Scootaloo, this really would be the perfect time to tell them if we really like them." Applebloom gave her friend a smile as she walked towards Sweetie Belle. Scootaloo looked at her two friends, and let out a sigh, "Yea guess that's true, alright I'll go along but, try and keep it simple please." The three of them cheered as they all agreed to come up with a plan, on how to ask the ponies they like to the dance. They sat around a small table, tossing around idea's on how they could ask there respective ponies to the dance. "Well I know for a fact that Dinky loves books. Maybe I could help her find a book she really wants and then ask her when I'm giving it to her." Applebloom seemed to approve of her plan but, Sweetie Belle asked, "Don't you want to wear some kind of make-up or something you know a little bit of..." Sweetie Belle was cut off by Scootaloo "NO WAY!!! there's no way I'm going to wear make up, that's to girly." "Sweetie Belle looked at Scootaloo "But don't you want Dinky to say yes?" Sweetie Belle looked over at Scootaloo hoping to change her mind. "Of course, I want her to say yes but, I don't need to wear make up for that I'm just going to go with my plan" Scootaloo finished making it clear she would just stick with her plan. "Uuuhhh fine I still say it would go better with some kind of make up though, what about you Applebloom how do you plan on asking Rumble?" Sweetie Belle looked over at Applebloom hopefully. "Well I'm not going to wear make up or anything if thats what you're hoping for," as she continued Sweetie Belle's hopeful expression fell, "But Rumble's kind of shy, friendly but, shy I was thinking I could ask his big brother what he likes and you know work off of that." Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle had questioning expressions as Applebloom explained her vague plan. "Well I guess that works I mean none of us really know Rumble that well, so asking his brother is really all you could do." Sweetie Belle was about to comment when she realized Scootaloo had a point. Applebloom and Scootaloo turned there gazes towards Sweetie Belle, "So what about you Sweetie Belle, how do you plan on asking Pipsqueak to the dance?" asked her red maned friend. Sweetie Belle began to think as she spoke to her friends. " Well, I've noticed that Pipsqueak really likes to spend the day outside playing with his friends, so I was thinking that I could ask to spend the day with him and then before we have to go home, I ask him if he'd like to go the dance." The white filly was rather happy with her plan and her friends had no objections. "So, how come your plan doesn't involve you wearing make up?" asked the orange filly to her friend. Sweetie Belle looked back at Scootaloo, "The reason my plan doesn't involve make up is because my plan involves me running around all day with the colt I want to ask, and I'd rather not have blush and eye shadow smeared across my fur when I ask him," explained Sweetie Belle. Scootaloo was about to respond when Applebloom spoke up, "Well that settles that, we all have a plan, we all know who we're going to ask, all that's left to do is put our plans into motion." Sweetie Belle And Scootaloo nodded in agreement, "Well guess that wraps up this meeting, and just in time to, it looks likes it's starting to get dark outside, I say that we put our plans in motion as soon as we can. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle both responded "Agreed!" The three fillies exited their club house and said good bye and good night to one another as each of them parted ways to go to their respective homes. //-------------------------------------------------------// It begins //-------------------------------------------------------// It begins                                As the morning began,  Applebloom awoke and began heading down stairs as her family had already started breakfast. When Applejack saw Applebloom coming down the stairs she happily spoke to the little filly, "Well look who's finally awake, I take it you slept well Applebloom?" The little filly took a moment in order to wake up before responding, "Yea I did..." Applebloom moved over to where her family was sitting, as she sat down Applejack gave her a plate that was full of pancakes, "Thanks Applejack, hey I was going to ask you if you had any idea where Rumble's older brother lives? AppleJack looked a little confused at her sisters question "Well I can tell you his address if you want, but why do you need to know it, did you have a question for him?" as Applejack turned off the stove she looked at her little sister. "Oh um, well you see, I kind of wanted to ask him about his little brother..." Applebloom was trying to hide her face from her big sister and the rest of her family as she finished her sentence. Applejack began to catch on to what her sister was talking about but before she could respond Applebloom spoke up "can you just let me know the address this is kind of important." Applejack was a little hesitant to respond "Well... sure lets just finish breakfast first alright?" Applejack gave her sister a small smile. Applebloom returned the smile as her family resumed eating, Applejack gave her big brother a knowing smile as they continued eating their pancakes.                          Sweetie Belle woke up in the morning at Carousel Boutique, she slowly got out of bed and made her way down the stair's to the kitchen, much to her dismay Rarity already finished cooking breakfast and was setting up the table when she saw Sweetie Belle, "Oh good morning Sweetie, I hope you don't mind that I cooked breakfast without you but, you just looked so peaceful while you were sleeping that I just didn't want to wake you up," Rarity motioned for Sweetie Belle to join her at the table. As she walked to the table, a thought came to her mind "yea just like the past couple of days,". Despite the thought that occurred she was happy about the day "It's okay Rarity, breakfast looks really delicious this morning," "Well you seem happy this morning Sweetie is something going on? Do you and your friends have any big plans to get your cutie marks today?" Rarity was quite curious as to her little sisters positive mood. "Well it's not really about our cutie marks today, you see I'm going to try and spend the day playing with Pipsqueak today," Sweetie Belle was trying not to reveal to much to her sister, she continued eating after she finished speaking. Rarity's curiosity was peaked as her sister concluded her sentence "Oh... really? why is that, I didn't even know you were friends with that young colt," Rarity was holding back her happiness as she asked her sister to elaborate. "Oh well, we're not great friends but, I'm really hoping to change that soon, do you have any idea where I could find Pipsqueak? I really only see him at school," Sweetie Belle looked at her sister with curiosity hoping she could answer her question. Rarity took a moment to think, "Well I think I see him running around the market place with Rumble on occasions, so I would start by looking at Rumble's house, I'll give you the address, though if I may, is there a reason you want to spend the day Pipsqueak?" Sweetie Belle attempted to sound calm, "Well I just want to... make a new friend you know," Sweetie Belle smiled nervously. Rarity smiled at her sisters response, "Really and wanting to be his friend wouldn't have anything to do with the Autumn Flower Dance coming up in a few weeks, would it?" Rarity was giving Sweetie Belle a knowing look. "Oh would you look at the time, the crusaders really wanted to meet up before I look for Pipsqueak, so if you'd be so king as to give me that address, I'll be on my way," Sweetie Belle spoke nervously as she tried to end the conversation. "Alright here's the address," she gave the address to Sweetie Belle who promptly left for the door as she received it, "I hope you have a good day today Sweetie," Rarity lightly yelled as Sweetie Belle made it to the door. "Okay you too," Sweetie Belle left as Rarity was giggling at her sisters slight embarrassment.                          The stress of asking dinky to the dance had woken her up early she was riding her scooter around until the crusaders needed to meet up. A voice called to Scootaloo as she was riding around, "Hey kid what are you doing just riding around like that?" Scootaloo looked up to see a rainbow maned Pegasus talking to her, "Oh hey, Rainbow Dash I'm just getting in some practice before the crusaders need to meet up," Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dash a wide smile. Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow, "Really? because it looks like you're trying to distract yourself from something, what's wrong?" Rainbow Dash flew down to stand next to Scootaloo. Scootaloo looked up at Rainbow Dash "Wrong? nothings wrong, what in Equestria would make you think something is wrong," Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dash an obviously fake smile. "Okay, now I know somethings up, and you're not going to your meeting until you tell me whats going on," Rainbow Dash gave Scootaloo a stern look wanting an answer to her inquiries. Scootaloo continued to look at Rainbow Dash slightly nervous "I... fine, you see the Autumn Flower Dance is coming up in a couple of weeks and I really want to ask Dinky to the dance but, I'm really nervous about it, I mean I have a plan to ask her but I'm really nervous about it." Scootaloo couldn't stop looking at the ground as she concluded her explanation. Rainbow Dash could see the filly wasn't really good at any of this "The way you're talking about this, it sounds like you're hoping for more than just a date to the dance, Scoots do you like this filly?" Rainbow Dash typically wasn't one to display compassion, she made an exception for Scootaloo. "Well... yea I really like her, and I guess I just don't want her to think I'm lame..." Scootaloo's expression softened as she opened up to her mentor. "Listen Scoots, I'm not that great at this sort of thing but, why don't you just ask her, I mean if you feel this way about her and if she feels the same you shouldn't worry right?" Rainbow Dash used her wing to bring Scootaloo closer to her. "Yea, I guess that right, it's just kind of hard to do this thanks Rainbow Dash, oh one more thing, do you know where I could find any kind of book?" Scootaloo was looking back up at Rainbow Dash her happy expression returning. "Well if you're low on bits Twilight might be willing to give one to you if you had a good reason," Rainbow Dash gave her admirer a smile. "Thanks Rainbow Dash, I should get going, the crusaders are meeting up soon so I'll see you later," Scootaloo grabbed her scooter and prepared to head off, "Oh and thanks for the talk Rainbow Dash ... I really appreciate it,"Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dash a small smile. "No problem kid, just don't mention this to anypony else okay I have to keep up my coolness, alright?" Rainbow Dash spoke somewhat playfully and somewhat serious. "Don't worry Rainbow Dash I won't and thanks again," Scootaloo spoke happily as the buzzing of her wings began to move her foward on her scooter. As she left Rainbow Dash sighed, "Why is love always so complicated?" she laughed off her question as she flew away.                     The three fillies arrived at their clubhouse they all seemed to be relieved that the short meeting had begun, they greeted one another when they arrived and began a recap of their plan for the day. "So we all know what we're going to do right, we all have our plans right?" the yellow filly wanted to make sure everything was clear, "Scootaloo are you clear on what you're doing, I'm headed to Rumble's house first." "Yea I'm clear all I got to do is head to Derpy's house, luckily I know where it is," Scootaloo became confidant on what she was doing. "Perfect what about you Sweetie Belle, have you figured out where to start your plan?" Applebloom turned her attention to her unicorn friend. "Actually, I'll be heading out with you to Rumble's house, Rarity said it would be the best place to start looking for Pipsqueak," The white filly was happy that she was clear on where she was going to start. "Perfect! Then we're all set and we all agreed to meet up tomorrow morning to see how our plans went,  right?" the red maned filly asked her two best friends. Both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo answered simultaneously "Yes". "And we all agreed that if they say yes we invite them to the movies tomorrow night,  right?" Applebloom felt like she was going through a checklist. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo replied simultaneously again "Yes!" "Perfect, then we better get started, we don't have all day now do we?" as Applebloom finished they each said there quick goodbyes. Scootaloo began walking to Derpy and Dinky's house, while Applebloom and Sweetie Belle both headed out to the address that their sisters had given them. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rumble Starts //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rumble Starts                             Applebloom and Sweetie Belle arrived at the address that their sisters gave them.  Applebloom looked nervous and much to her dismay Sweetie Belle had spotted Pipsqueak walking down the road away from Rumble's house. Sweetie Belle said her goodbyes to Applebloom as she left to catch up with Pipsqueak and now she had to knock on the door on her own. Applebloom arrived at the door and knocked on it three times she heard some pony get to the door and when it opened she saw a dark colored stallion with a light cyan mane, "Um... are you Thunderlane?" Applebloom seemed rather nervous  talking to the stallion. He took a moment to respond, his gaze softened as he answered the fillies question, "Yes I am, are you one of Rumble's friends?" Thunderlane knew the answer already he's never seen this filly around Rumble before, but he described a filly like her to him before. "Um... well not really, but I wanted to ask you, if you could tell me anything about Rumble, like maybe what he likes to do or... well something we can do together?" Applebloom was looking at the ground shuffling her hooves. Thunderlane could see the fillies nervousness and smiled, "Well Rumble's seemed a bit down for the past couple of days, I was going to send him to Sugar Cube Corner for a treat to make him feel better, I'm sure he'll appreciate your company," Thunderlane could see the yellow filly's mood lighten up as he finished. "That sounds great I'd love to accompany him to Sugar Cube Corner," Applebloom could feel her heart flutter at the invitation to join Rumble for a treat. "Great, I'll go get him," as the dark stallion walked away Applebloom could hear him call for Rumble, "Come on Rumble, I've got surprise for you!!" he returned shortly after, "He'll be here in a moment, by the way I didn't catch your name." "Oh my name is Applebloom, sorry forget to mention that," Applebloom smiled nervously. "Nice to meet you Applebloom, oh and here's Rumble," Thunderlane turned his attention to his little brother, "guess what little guy, this lovely little filly is going to accompany you to Sugar Cube Corner for a treat," as Thunderlane finished, he handed his little brother a bag full of bits, "This should give you enough for you and this little filly." When Rumble took the bag he was finally awake enough to realize who was going to go with him to Sugar Cube Corner "Applebloom, you're going to go with me?" Rumble was nervous and happy at the same time. "Uh, yea,  I hope you don't mind if I tag along," Applebloom was obviously nervous talking to Rumble was more than difficult than she thought, his quite voice made her melt inside. "No, no I don't mind at all," Rumble was smiling at his less than elegant response. Thunderlane noticed his brother was trying to stall, "Alright you two, you should get going to Sugar Cube Corner those treats aren't going to eat themselves are they?" Thunderlane pushed Rumble next to Applebloom, "Now have fun you two," as the two of them walked away from Rumbles home, a thought occured to him "how did my little brother manage to score a filly before me?" The two young ponies continued their walk to Sugar Cube Corner both of them obviously nervous about being alone together. Rumble was looking at Applebloom he'd never really had a chance to hang out with her before. "Uh, Rumble is something wrong, you're just kind of staring at me, is there something on my bow?" Applebloom was trying to check her bow for anything that could be messing it up. Seeing the fillies distress Rumble attempted to calm her, "No there's nothing on your bow it's perfect and pink there's nothing on it," as Rumble finished he realized that he not only caused Applebloom to blush but, he caused several other ponies to look at them an giggle, "Uh hehe, sorry about that, let's just get to Sugar Cube Corner alright," Rumble attempted to laugh the awkwardness away as they continued to walk. Applebloom couldn't help but giggle as they continued to walk. A few minutes passed by and they both arrived at Sugar Cube Corner, as they entered the bakery they were greeted by a bubbly pink mare. "Hey Applebloom, who's your friend, oh oh, are you both here for a sugary treat, is this like date for you two?" Pinkie Pie greeted the two little ponies happily hoping they were here for a treat. Rumble was the first to speak up "Um miss Pinkie Pie could we just get two cupcakes please," Rumble tried to defuse the embarrassing situation with his question. "Of course you can, and you can just call me Pinkie Pie, now why don't you two take a seat while I get your cupcakes," Pinkie Pie went to the kitchen, as she did Applebloom and Rumble headed for a table, Applebloom was hoping the rest of her day wouldn't be as embarrassing as it started. "Wow I didn't think that she'd be that random, Thunderlane told me about her but..." Rumble trailed off as he noticed Applebloom giving him a strange look, "Is something wrong Applebloom?" "Rumble are you okay, I mean you're usually really shy, and since we left your house you've been trying to make jokes or trying to compliment me, are you feeling okay?" Applebloom was slightly concerned as the pony she liked wasn't acting like he usually did. "Applebloom... what would you do if I told you that I was only trying to impress you, that I really like you?" Rumble looked disheartened as he asked his question. "Rumble I... I got to know do you like me because if you do then there's something I need to ask you, so do you like me?" Applebloom was trying to remain calm but her nervousness was starting to shine through. As Rumble was about to answer Pinkie Pie arrived with their cupcakes, "Here you go two super delicious cupcakes," she placed a plate on the table, "is their anything else you two want?" "Um no Pinkie Pie that's all, we'll pay on the way out okay," Rumble answered shyly as he returned to his usual personality. "Okie Dokie Lokie, let me know if you need anything else," Pinkie Pie walked away with her usual bounce. "Um, what is it you were trying to say Rumble?" Applebloom was nervously waiting for an answer from Rumble. "Applebloom I actually... really like you, I've always thought you were cute with your beautiful orange eye's and your pink bow, it's just that I've never really had the confidence to tell you before," Rumble looked up and he noticed that Applebloom had a slight blush over her yellow cheeks. Applebloom looked at Rumble with a smile on her face "well... I really like you to Rumble, and I was wondering if... if you'd like to go to the Autumn Flower Dance with me?" Rumble quickly grew a smile as Applebloom finished her question, "I'd love to go with you to the dance Applebloom." "Really? thats great!!!" Applebloom scooted closer to Rumble and gave him a hug "one more thing me, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo are going to head to the movies tomorrow night would you like to come with us?" Applebloom's nerves had finally settled down enough for her to relax. "I'd love to go to the movies with you Applebloom" Rumble finally was released from Applebloom's hug as they both headed for the cash register to pay, once they did they headed out of the door and Rumble decided to do the gentlecoltly thing and walk Applebloom home, he couldn't wait to let Thunderlane know what happened. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Sweet Pipsqueak //-------------------------------------------------------// A Sweet Pipsqueak                                 Sweetie Belle and Applebloom had arrived at Rumbles house, both of them were nervous about being at his house Sweetie Belle calmed down when she noticed that Pipsqueak was walking down the road away from Rumble's house. "Hey Applebloom, it looks like Pipsqueak is headed down the road, I'll see you later okay good luck with Rumble," Sweetie Belle left down the road to catch up with Pipsqueak, "Okay just calm down and relax you can do this," she spoke to herself before catching up Pipsqueak "HEY PIPSQUEAK!!!" Pipsqueak turned around to see a white filly with a cotton candy mane, "Oh Sweetie Belle, is there something that you needed?" Sweetie Belle was slightly out of breath as she spoke "Yea, I was wondering if you had any plans for the day?" Pipsqueak was confused, "Well no, not really, Thunderlane said that Rumble ain't feeling to good," Pipsqueak looked at the filly hoping his answer would suffice. "Oh, well I was wondering if you'd like to, ya know, spend the day with me?" Sweetie Belle seemed to calm down her nerves about the situation seemed to just dissolve as she spoke to the colt. "Me and you, spend the day together..." Pipsqueak couldn't figure out how to feel about this, a really pretty filly was asking to spend the day with him "come on you dummy just say yes," Pipsqueak mentally scolded himself for not answering, "Sure I'd like to hang out with you." Pipsqueak could feel a wave of relief wash over him as he finally answered. Sweetie Belle was happy "Great well, why don't we go the park there has to be something fun to do there, right?" She looked towards Pipsqueak for approval. "Yea, that sounds like fun let's get going, oh and Sweetie Belle you can just call me Pip," Pipsqueak was happy to have her call him by his nickname. "Okay Pip, let's get going," Sweetie Belle could feel giddy at using Pipsqueaks nickname. As Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak arrived at the park, Sweetie Belle was laughing at something Pipsqueak said, all the stress of her situation just seemed to disappear the two of them just seemed to fit together. "And then Rumble flew straight into the tree, and I went running to help him out only for me to trip on some sticks and go tumbling over right to where he landed, and when we saw each other we just laid there and laughed at one another. We weren't laughing so much the next day when Thunderlane took both of us to the hospital, and we still snickered," as Pipsqueak finished his tale, he could see Sweetie Belle giggling at his antics she looked so pretty to him and her laugh sounded like a song he was glad he could make her laugh. "Wow, you two have had some pretty fun adventures, huh?" Sweetie Belle happily asked her question. "Yea, guess we have, hey do you want some ice cream? I should have enough for two," Pipsqueak looked eagerly at Sweetie Belle hoping to buy her a treat. "Um, well I don't want you to waste your..." Sweetie Belle was interrupted by Pipsqueaks spotted hoof. "I won't have none of that, the only real question is what flavor do you want?" Pipsqueak wanted to prove to Sweetie Belle that he was a gentlecolt. Sweetie Belle couldn't help but smile at his noble action, "I'll take vanilla," Sweetie Belle smiled as she gave her response to her friend. "GREAT!! I'll be right back then," Pipsqueak headed for the ice cream stand and as he did a thought came to his mind, "I wonder if Sweetie Belle would want to go to the dance with me, I'll ask her before I have to go home," Pipsqueak got slightly nervous at the thought. Sweetie Belle was smiling as Pipsqueak left for ice cream when she heard a voice call her "HEY!!! Sweetie Belle," Sweetie Belle turned around to see her orange friend, "How's it going with Pipsqueak, judging by that smile it looks like it's going really well," "Huh, oh yea, it's going great we were just about to start going to the park with some ice cream," Sweetie Belle looked at Scootaloo her eye's brimmed with happiness, "so hows it going with your plan Scootaloo?" "Oh, actually it's going great I'm going to Twilight's to find the book I'm looking for, but I really got to hurry, but I'll see you tomorrow at the meeting okay." Scootaloo began to shout something as she left "HAVE FUN AT THE PARK!!!!!" "Alright here you go Sweetie Belle one vanilla ice cream cone," Pipsqueak had returned with both of there ice cream cones, "so we were heading to the park right," Pip motioned for them to continue there walk. "Yea we were, I didn't know that you liked chocolate Pip," Sweetie Belle's made Pipsqueak stop for a moment. "Oh yea it was my favorite back in Trottingham, I used to eat it like everyday," Pipsqueak answered cheerfully. Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak had finally arrived at the park the two of them just finished there ice cream cones and Pipsqueak was excited to have a new friend to have adventures with. "So, you ready to have an adventure Sweetie Belle?" he spoke with enthusiasm to his new white coated friend. "Yea, it's just you have some ice cream on you nose, hold on I'll get it," Sweetie Belle wasn't sure what came over her, as she leaned in and licked the chocolate ice cream off of Pipsqueaks nose, she leaned back blushing as she realized what she did, "so um let's go have an adventure shall we," Sweetie Belle nervously tried to get Pipsqueak to continue there plan. As Sweetie Belle walked into the park, Pipsqueak smiled as a thought came to his mind "I guess she does like me after all, I just hope I don't mess this up." Hours flew by as the two young ponies had an adventure. The two of them were completely lost in their imaginary adventures, every little bit of stress and humiliation had been forgotten as they had fun, unfortunately every adventure has a stopping point. "Wow, look at the sun I can't believe we've been out here all day, I'll walk you home Sweetie Belle, uh, were are you staying at the moment?" Sweetie Belle couldn't help but giggle at Pipsqueak's noble silliness, "I'm staying with my sister at Carousel Boutique," "PERFECT!!! let's get going then," Pipsqueak lead the way back to Sweetie Belle's home, Pipsqueak knew what he wanted to ask her and it was making him nervous. As they arrived Sweetie Belle turned to Pipsqueak who looked as if he was about to throw up, "Um are you okay Pip? you look kind of sick," "Oh I'm fine, it's just I have something I wanted to ask you," Pipsqueak looked into Sweetie Belle's beautiful light green eyes. "What is it Pipsqueak, before you leave I had something I wanted to ask you to," Sweetie Belle looked back into Pipsqueak's reddish brown eyes. "Oh well, in that case why don't we just ask our questions at the same time," Pipsqueak was relieved that Sweetie Belle nodded to agree, "alright then when ever you're ready." Both of the ponies took a deep breath and both of them began to speak simultaneously, "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Autumn Flower Dance with me?" Each of their eye's grew wide as they herd one another, Sweetie Belle was the first to speak up, "Well... I'd love to go to the dance with you Pip," Sweetie Belle could feel her heart flutter as she answered Pipsqueak's question. "Really? you would well... I would love to go with you to the dance as well," Pipsqueak and Sweetie Belle laughed as their nerves were finally released. As their laughter stopped Sweetie Belle  spoke up, "Oh, before I forget I was wondering if you'd like to go to the movies tomorrow night with me, Applebloom, and Scootaloo? Don't worry they're going to try and bring date's too." "Date? Yea, I'd love to go to the movies with you Sweetie Belle", Pipsqueak was happily surprised at the Second question as he answered. "That's great, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, oh, and Pip thanks for walking me home," Sweetie Belle gave Pipsqueak a smile as she said thank you. "It's no problem and I'll see you tomorrow okay, good night Sweetie Belle," Pipsqueak gave her a weak smile, in his mind "I can't wait to tell Rumble!!!" "Good night Pipsqueak," she closed the door as she waved goodbye to Pipsqueak, as she turned around she was grabbed up by a white blur. "OOOOHHHHHH SWEETUMMS!!!!!!! I'm soooo happy for you, I can't believe you have your own little coltfriend, I'm soooo happy for you, oh and you have a movie date tomorrow night, oh this is soo exciting I'm going to have to teach you everything I know about going on dates, oh this is going to be so fun," Rarity was as excited as a school filly hugging her little sister. "RARITY CALM DOWN!!!!!! I just," before she could finish her sentence Rarity cut her off. "Calm down? I can't just calm down my little sister has her own little coltfriend, oh come on, I'll tell you what I know about first dates before you go to sleep. As Rarity left the room, she motioned for Sweetie Belle to follow, "Something tells me this won't be a short lesson." //-------------------------------------------------------// Two Fillies //-------------------------------------------------------// Two Fillies                        The market place seemed to be less busy than it usually was, there where a couple of ponies there most of them just seemed to be hanging out rather than working. Scootaloo moved through the marketplace briskly she was hoping to get to Dinky's house as fast as she could. Rainbow Dash gave her a confidence boost earlier in the morning but, she was trying to get there before she lost her nerve. "Come on, come on where is that address I know it's on this street somewhere," Scootaloo skidded to a halt as she saw the address she had been looking for, "Finally, this house is further away than I thought, well let's do this," Scootaloo walked up and knocked three times on the door. When the door opened there was a wall eyed mare standing there in the door way, "Um hello, is their something I can help you with?" asked the grey pegasus. "Um yea, I was wondering if I could see Dinky," Scootaloo was relieved that Derpy had answered the door. "Oh I'm sorry but Dinky isn't here right now, I sent her to the market place to pick some stuff up for me," Derpy looked at the orange filly's disappointment , "but, I'll let her know you came over," Derpy looked at the filly hopefully. "Oh that'd be great, but one thing Miss Derpy do you know if Dinky is looking for any kind of special book?" Scootaloo's inquiry seemed to interest Derpy. "Um, you can just call me Derpy, and I think she was looking for a special book called..." she trailed off looking at a piece of paper, "Magical Spells: an easy guide for beginners to magic, she's been looking for it for a while now, is their a reason you wanted to know?" Derpy looked at Scootaloo with a curious look on her face. "Oh well, Dinky just seems to love books and I was just curious as to what she reads is all," Scootaloo gave Derpy a wide grin, "Well, uh, I'd best be going," please let Dinky know I came over if you see her before I do, and I'll see you around," Scootaloo zipped away as fast as her scooter could take her. Well I better get over to Twilight's I hope she has the book Dinky's looking for, and maybe I can find her before she goes home," as she was moving along Scootaloo noticed Sweetie Belle standing in the park smiling, "HEY SWEETIE BELLE!!!!!!!!! how it going with Pipsqueak, judging by that smile it looks like it's going really well." "Huh, oh, yea it's going great we were just about to start going to the park, after some ice cream," Sweetie Belle looked at Scootaloo her eye's brimmed with happiness, "So, hows it going with your plan Scootaloo?" "Oh, actually it's going great I'm going to Twilight's to find the book I'm looking for, but I really got to hurry, but I'll see you tomorrow at the meeting okay." Scootaloo began to shout something as she left "HAVE FUN AT THE PARK!!!!!" Scootaloo arrived at the tree that served as both Twilight's house and the library, "I hope she has the book that Dinky is looking for, if she does I... hope she'll give it to me, ooohhhh enough stalling I don't have time.  Scootaloo went up to the door and knocked, as the door opened she greeted the resident, "hey, Twilight I was hoping you could help me find a book, it's kind of important," Scootaloo looked at the Purple unicorn with hopeful eye's. Twilight was thrown back a bit by the sudden questions, "Umm sure, Scootaloo come on inside and I'll see if I can help you," Twilight led the orange filly into the library, "Now what's the name of the book you were looking for?" Scootaloo took a moment to remember the name of the book she came here to look for, "It was called Magical Spells: an easy guide for beginners to magic, yea that's the name of the book," Scootaloo looked at Twilight hopefully. "Um, well I'm going to assume that the book is for somepony else, I have the book right here," Twilight magically held the book in front of Scootaloo, when she saw how nervous Scootaloo looked she asked, "Is everything okay Scootaloo?" "Um Twilight, I don't suppose I could keep this book, you know like not bring it back," as she finished her sentence Twilight quickly withdrew the book and held on to it. "It's not for me I want to give it to a filly I like, she's been looking for it and she really wants to read it, please Twilight I promise to work it off here at the library if you want but, I really need that book Twilight, please," Scootaloo gave Twilight a sad face hoping to get the book. Twilight looked at Scootaloo and the book, her defensive expression began to turn into a compassionate one Twilight sighed,"Alright Scootaloo, you can have the book just this once okay". Scootaloo looked up at Twilight "Really? Thanks Twilight I really appreciate it," Scootaloo grabbed the book from Twilights magical grip, "I'm really sorry for the rush but I really need to go, thanks again Twilight I really appreciate it," Scootaloo headed out of the door and to her scooter, she turned back and waved goodbye to Twilight as she zoomed away. Scootaloo had been searching the market place for hours. Everywhere she went she seemed to just miss Dinky by a couple of minutes. She was about to just give up and head home when she noticed Dinky just steps away from where she lived. "DINKY!!!!" Scootaloo yelled to get the filly's attention "Wait, wait," Scootaloo pulled up next to Dinky. Dinky Just looked at her caller curious as to what she wanted, "Is there something that you need Scootaloo?" Whenever Scootaloo herd Dinky's soft voice it made her smile, "WelI I wanted to give you this book, I got it just for you," Scootaloo handed over the book to Dinky, "I herd you were looking for it, also there was somethi..." Scootaloo was cut off by Dinky. "Magical Spells: an easy guide for beginners to magic but, how did you know I wanted this book, it doesn't matter, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!!" Dinky pulled Scootaloo into a hug. Scootaloo could only smile, "It was no problem, listen Dinky there was something else I wanted to ask you." Scootaloo felt Dinky let go of her. "What is it Scootaloo?" Dinky was curious as to what else Scootaloo Could add. "Well I... I was wondering if you would want to go to the Autumn Flower Dance with me?" Scootaloo looked nervously at Dinky. Dinky could only blush as Scootaloo asked her to the dance, "You want me to go to the dance with you? I... I'd love to go to the dance with you Scootaloo," as she answered she smiled, happy that Scootaloo had asked her. "Really? That's AWESOME!!!! Oh I almost forgot, me and the crusaders are going to go to the movies tomorrow night, would you like to come with us? Don't worry they're going to bring dates too". "So I'd be your date? Sure I'd love to go as your date Scootaloo," Dinky gave Scootaloo a hug,"I'll see you tomorrow then okay," Dinky felt shy talking with Scootaloo. "Yea I'll see you tomorrow," Scootaloo went to her scooter an road away while waving bye to Dinky. Dinky began to think "Oh I can't believe I'm going to the dance and have a date with Scootaloo! I can't wait to tell mom!!" //-------------------------------------------------------// Dating Advice //-------------------------------------------------------// Dating Advice           The morning went by fast for the crusaders, each of them got up, ate breakfast, said there good mornings and good byes. They rushed off to there club house for the report on the success of their plans, Applebloom was the first to arrive, then Sweetie Belle and finally Scootaloo. When they entered the clubhouse Applebloom was the first to speak up, "SOOOO!!! how'd both of your plans go? Because mine went perfectly, there was a small hiccup but it still turned out great," Applebloom looked at her friends with a big smile hoping for positive responses. Scootaloo spoke up quickly, "Well mine went great though, there was a moment when I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the book that Dinky wanted but, I still got the book and Dinky said yes, to the dance and the movie date tonight!!" Scootaloo quickly finished her recap with a smile on her face, she turned to her white coated friend. "Sooo how about you Sweetie Belle, how'd your plan go?" Sweetie Belle shyly responded, "Well... it went great!!!!" her voice picked up enthusiasm as she continued, "Pipsqueak was such a gentle colt we took a walk, he got me ice cream, we played at the park, he even walked me home, and he said yes to the dance and the movies tonight," Sweetie Belle had a sparkle in her eyes as she told her friends about how well her plan went. "Sooo, that means that we all have a date for the movies tonight? That's great, guess the only thing left to do is decide on what movie we should all go see," Applebloom looked at her friends curiously,"You two have any ideas?" Both Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle took a moment to think, Scootaloo was the first to get an idea,"I know, how about the new Daring Doo movie, you know Daring Doo and the Empire of the Solar Stone," Scootaloo looked at her friends wondering what they thought. Sweetie Belle looked at her orange friend, "But I was hoping that we could go see that new romance movie you know the one between the pegasus and the unicorn..." before Sweetie Belle could continue her complaint Scootaloo interrupted. "NO WAY!!!! I'm not going to see a romance movie not with Dinky as my date," Scootaloo made Sweetie Belle jump with her outburst. Before Sweetie Belle could respond Scootaloo spoke up again, "Besides if we go see an adventure movie you can snuggle up to Pipsqueak while he's watching it, wouldn't that be nice Sweetie Belle?" Scootaloo looked at Sweetie Belle hoping her reason could get her out of watching a romance movie. After hearing Scootaloo's reason Sweetie Belle's face lit up "You're right! If we go and see and adventure movie I can snuggle up to Pip, and Dinky could snuggle up to you Scootaloo," Sweetie Belle looked at her friend while slightly smirking. "Oh... yea I guess me and Dinky could snuggle up together." Scootaloo trailed off as she realized how nervous the little unicorn could make her. Applebloom giggled at her friend as she struggled to finish her sentence, "So I take it we're all going to go see the Daring Doo movie then?" Applebloom looked at both of her friends happily. They both looked back at Applebloom, Sweetie Belle was the first to respond,"Yeah we are, oh I forgot last night when I got home Rarity decided to give me a short lesson on first dates, then I let slip that it was a group date, which led to another lesson on group dates but, she told me to share the lesson with you girls sooo, here goes," Sweetie Belle began explaining what her sister had relayed to her the night before, the yellow and orange fillies got comfortable as they realized it wasn't going to be a short lesson. Pipsqueak was knocking on the door to Rumble"s house, "Come on Rumble, I have something really cool to tell you!" Pipsqueak continued knocking until the door finally opened revealing a half awake Rumble. "Mmmmm, what is it Pipsqueak? I was hoping to get some extra sleep before asking Thunderlane about first dates," Rumble was rubbing his eye when he was startled awake. "YOU HAVE A DATE TOO!!!" Pipsqueaks excitement startled Rumble and quickly followed up, "Who's your date with, I've got a date with Sweetie Belle tonight!!!" "Really? Well I've got a date with Applebloom tonight but, she mentioned that it would be with her and her friends, and that they were going to bring dates too." Rumble looked somewhat puzzled as he thought it over. "Huh Sweetie Belle said the same thing, hmmm I guess that means we have the same group date tonight." Pipsqueak concluded rather quickly. "Hmmm, then this should be fun but, I'd still like to ask Thunderlane how I should act on the date but, he's still asleep I'm not sure how, your knocking was really loud." Rumble let out a small yawn before continuing, "Well, why don't we go find Dinky until he wakes up we can ask him then." Both of them nodded in agreement, Rumble walked out and closed the door behind him both of them turned to head to Dinky's house when they were surprised by there unicorn friend walking up to them. "Uh hey guys, do you have any idea on how to act on a date? I was kind of embarrassed to ask my mommy and I couldn't find anything about it..." Dinky looked at her two friends hoping they could answer her inquires. Pipsqueak was the first to speak up, "You have a date Dinky? Who's the lucky colt or filly?" Pipsqueak looked at his friend with wide eye's. Dinky was surprised at the question, "Oh well, I've got a date with Scootaloo later today," Dinky looked at her two friends who had questioning looks on their face's, "What is something wrong with Scootaloo? Why do you two have those looks on your face's?" Dinky looked at her friends a little more worried than before. Rumble quietly spoke up, "No it's nothing like that Dinky it's just that I have a date with Applebloom tonight and Pip has a date with Sweetie Belle, and they both said that they were going to the movies and that they were all going to bring date's so..." Before Rumble could continue Dinky spoke up, "So that means that we all have the same group date tonight," Dinky looked at her friends and continued, "Well that certainly makes it easier but, I still want to know how I should act this still is my first date." Dinky looked at both of them and pouted hoping to get an answer. "Well we're just as clueless as you, Rumble was going to ask Thunderlane how to act but, he's asleep we were gonna go and find you so we could do something fun until then," Pipsqueak looked at Dinky and gave a smile hoping his answer would suffice. "That's a great idea! Well then lets go find something to do until he wakes up then," Dinky began walking away and shouted back at her friends, "You two coming!?" The two colts began to follow their friend when Rumble whispered to Pipsqueak, "Hey Pip, do you think that we should warn Scootaloo about Dinky's killer pout?" Pipsqueak looked at his friend and smiled,"No I think that Scootaloo will find out about it soon enough." Rumble smiled back at Pipsqueak as they both continued to follow their unicorn friend to find something to do until Thunderlane woke up. "And the final most important thing, Rarity said that we need to be well mannered," Sweetie Belle looked at her two friends who had both dosed off while Sweetie Belle was explaining, she slammed her hooves down on the table waking up the sleeping pegasus and earth pony. "Ahhhhh!!! huh oh, come on Sweetie Belle wouldn't it be better if me, you, and Applebloom just acted like ourselves, I mean Dinky seems to like me so wouldn't it be better to be myself?" Scootaloo looked at her unicorn friend hoping to change her mind. "What are you? Oh no no Rarity just wanted me to pass on what she taught me, I totally think we should be ourselves," Sweetie Belle quickly clarified. "Whew that's a relief, I was really hoping I wouldn't have to be all fancy I mean, we're just going to the movies after all," Applebloom wiped a bit of sweat off of her forehead. "Yea, I was a bit worried too, but it looks like we're all set for tonight we know the movie we're going to see, we know the time, we have are dates for this and the dance, all we have to do is pick them up at their houses, and meet up in front of the theater at 6:00," Scootaloo looked at her friends enthusiastically. "Yep, all we gotta do is wait but, shouldn't we put on some kind of..." Sweetie Belle was interrupted. "NO MAKE UP!!!!!" Scootaloo  shouted startling both of her friends. "Okay fine, there's no need to shout like that," Sweetie Belle faked a pout as she looked at her friend. Scootaloo looked away from her friends calming down from her small outburst. "You and your friends got that Rumble? All you need to do is be your selves no need to be what you're not alright," Thunderlane spoke sternly to Rumble and his two friends trying to get his message across to them. Rumble looked at his two friends for confirmation then turned to his older brother, "We got it Thunderlane, we're just hoping that tonight goes okay..." Thunderlane smiled at his little brother, "Don't worry little bro, it'll go great you and your friends will have a great time tonight with your dates," Thunderlane smiled. "Thanks bro", Rumble smiled back at his brother. Pipsqueak spoke up,"Thank you for the advice Thunderlane we'll do our best tonight but, can we go have lunch now I'm starving and Dinky brought muffins." The three young ponies looked at Thunderlane expectantly,"Alright you three get going but, any chance I can get one of those muffins to?" "Sure thing," Dinky pulled out a muffin from her bag and hoofed it over to Thunderlane "There you go hope you enjoy it." "Thanks, I'll see you later Rumble," Thunderlane waved as they left to enjoy there lunch. The rest of the day flew by for everypony, the three crusaders and there respective dates met up at the movie theater each one of them slightly nervous. "Alright everypony are we all set to see the new Daring Doo movie?" Applebloom looked at all five of them. They all responded "Yeah!!!!" "Alright then lets get going, we don't want to miss the beginning of the movie," Applebloom turned around with Rumble and lead everypony into the theater. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Daring Movie Date //-------------------------------------------------------// The Daring Movie Date All six of the young ponies entered the movie theater and purchased their tickets, they were all excited to be at the movies with the ponies they liked and their friends. They all stopped at the concessions area of the theater with Rumble, Pipsqueak, and Scootaloo turning towards the others. "Alright, we'll go and get the snacks for all of us what do you girls want?" Politely asked Rumble turning to his friends and his date. "Ah, I think we'll all be fine with some popcorn and a couple of sodas," responded Applebloom happily. "Okay, we'll be right back then," Rumble led Pipsqueak and Scootaloo away towards the concessions. "Oh, this is so exciting we're actually on a date with the ponies we like," Sweetie Belle giggled catching the attention of Applebloom and Dinky. "Yea I actually can't believe Scootaloo actually asked me to come here," Dinky replied happily. Applebloom turned to her friend "Yea, hey Sweetie Belle, I've been meaning to ask you, since we're all going to the dance what're we gonna do about clothes?" "Oh don't worry about it, Scoots might not like it but, Rarity can take care of that, no problem," Sweetie Belle turned to her fellow unicorn, "And of course, you're welcome to come and get a dress from Rarity too Dinky." "Oh thank you, I hadn't given that much thought," as Dinky finished their three dates returned with their snacks, "Oh, here let me help you with those Scoot," Dinky used her magic to relieve Scootaloo of the two sodas she was carrying, "Whoa, that's cool thanks Dinky, I didn't know you could do that yet," Scootaloo was impressed by Dinky's small show of magic. "Oh well, I learned it from the book you got me, I sort of dug right into it as soon as I got it," Dinky was slightly blushing at Scootaloo's compliment. Applebloom spoke up "Alright you two love birds, let's get going don't want to miss the movie do we?" when she finished they all began walking to their assigned theater. "Hey Pip, where's your soda?" asked the white unicorn to her date. "Oh, they ran out of soda so I just got you one," explained Pipsqueak. "Oh well, that's no fair we can just share the soda that you bought," Sweetie Belle closed the distance between her and Pip in order to help him balance the bag of popcorn on his back. "Thanks Sweetie Belle," spoke Pipsqueak as they all headed to their respective theater rooms. The movie had captivated the young fillies and colts watching Daring Doo try and return the Solar Stone to its original discovery location, each couple had cuddled up to their respective date. Rumble had finally stopped being nervous and wrapped his wing around Applebloom who was cuddled up to him, when she saw Rumble's wing around her, she looked at him and giggled causing Rumble cheeks to turn pink as they returned their attention back to the movie. Sweetie Belle hugged Pipsqueak close as they watched Pipsqueak slightly disheartened that Sweetie Belle couldn't cuddle up to him like the others did with their dates but, was happy that Sweetie Belle was hugging him so close. Both Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak  went for a sip of the soda they were sharing when their muzzle's rubbed together both of them looked at one another and silently smiled, Sweetie Belle returned to hugging Pipsqueak as the movie went on. Scootaloo was excited by the movie. Dinky was cuddling with Scootaloo both of them lost in what they were doing, Dinky could see that the adventure part of the movie was really captivating her date, she could only smile and remember to show Scootaloo the book version of Daring Doo one day. Each couple continued to watch the movie each of them happy they were all there. All six of the young ponies exited the theater talking about the movie. "And then at the end when that ram got destroyed by the weird magical force was AWESOME!!! really weird but, AWESOME!!!" Scootaloo was excited by the movie as they all left. "We know Scootaloo, we all saw the ending and yea, it was a little weird," agreed Applebloom "Well we should probably get going, I told Applejack that I'd be home after the movie," All of them agreed with Applebloom, "Okay I'll walk you home then Applebloom," Applebloom nodded at Rumble's offer. "Right, then allow me to walk you home milady," offered Pipsqueak to Sweetie Belle, she could only respond by smiling and nodding yes. "I'll walk you home okay Dinky," smiled Scootaloo, causing Dinky to smile. Each of them smiled and waved goodbye and good night to one another as they parted ways. As Applebloom got home she turned and hugged Rumble, "I had fun at the movies tonight Rumble thanks for going," "I had fun too Applebloom, I'll see at school on Monday okay," "Later Rumble," as Applebloom closed the door and turned around she saw her sister waiting for her."Uh, sorry I'm a little late sis. Scootaloo got Dinky home safely,"I'm glad you said yes to the movie Dinky I really had fun seeing it with you," "I had fun too Scootaloo I'll see you in class alright," Dinky spoke with happiness in her voice. Scootaloo smiled, "Cool I'll see you later then, night Dinky," "Good night Scootaloo," As Dinky turned around she saw some worried and angry eyes,"Oh hi mommy, sorry I was late." "Sorry I got you home a bit late Sweetie Belle," Pipsqueak spoke apologetically. "Oh it's no problem, I'll explain to Rarity why I was late, thanks for going to the movie with me Pip I had fun watching it with you," Sweetie Belle spoke happily. "I had fun too, Ill see you on Monday at school okay Sweetie Belle," Pipsqueak looked at Sweetie Belle happily, "Alright I'll see you at school Pip," Sweetie Belle closed the door and turned around only to be met with her sister. "Oh hi Rarity, let me explain why I was late..." She was cut off. "Don't give me that, young lady," Rarity looked down at her little sister,"Well... what are you waiting for? Tell me how it went, don't leave out anything," Sweetie Belle was thrown off by her sisters happiness, "Okay lets go to the kitchen first though," as Sweetie Belle left for the kitchen a thought came to her mind "It's a good thing it's Saturday something tells me I won't get much sleep tonight," Sweetie Belle walked into the kitchen following her sister. //-------------------------------------------------------// Intermission: Cheerilee finds a Date //-------------------------------------------------------// Intermission: Cheerilee finds a Date Cheerilee sat in her classroom making arrangements for the upcoming dance when a thought came to mind, "Hmm, I'm going to need to make sure this dance goes smoothly, I'll be around watching everything but, maybe I should find another pony to help me keep watch over everypony." Many different ponies came to mind that could help watch over all of her students but, she wanted to have fun on that night too, "Oooh I know the perfect stallion to help me watch over them all.” Cheerilee walked out of her classroom and began heading to Sweet Apple Acres  “I'll ask Big Mac if he can help.". The walk over to the Apples farm wasn't too long, as the school was fairly close by, as she walked the thought of having Big Mac around at the dance was exciting. "I hope he agrees to help, as much as I love my students it would get boring if I didn't have somepony to talk to." Cheerilee continued walking when she heard a voice call out to her, she turned around to find a white unicorn with a wild blue mane calling to her. "Hey Cheerilee where're you off to?" The unicorn slowed down next to her catching her breath. "Oh hello Vinyl I was just on my way to ask Big Macintosh if he would like to help me watch over the school dance that's coming up," Vinyl magically lifts her glasses off, "So” She starts smugly “ you're just going to ask him to watch over the dance with you... nothing else?" waggling her eyebrows suggestively. Cheerilee looked at Vinyl with a raised brow, "yes why?” She replies oblivious to the implications of her friends words “ is there something wrong with that?" Vinyl rolled her eye's "Yes there is, wouldn't  you rather, oh I don't know, ask to dance with him? I mean, it’s no big secret  you like him, so why not?" Cheerilee blushed, "Well I suppose we could dance on the night” she shakes her head quickly “but no, no, I'm asking him to help me watch over the students, nothing more." "Yea, yea, anyways, I wanted to ask you if I could provide the music for the dance, I mean you want to dance to be fun right, so why not let a DJ take care of the music?" Vinyl looked at Cheerilee with a wide and hopeful smile. "Well I guess it would be better having a more current music act at the dance," Vinyl's eye's lit up "So does that mean?" She leads expectantly, Cheerilee let out a sigh, "Sure Vinyl, you can handle the music." Vinyl hoofpumped, "YES! I'm going to find my best music for this, I'll see you later Cheerilee," Vinyl began running back in the direction of her home as she said goodbye. Cheerilee simply rolled her eye's and smiled at her friends enthusiasm, "I better hurry and get to Sweet Apple Acres before the sun goes down." Cheerilee picked up her pace and headed towards the farm. Cheerilee arrived at the farm house just as Big Mac was getting back and called out to him, "BIG MAC!, did you just get back from the orchard?" Big Macintosh looked at her and simply said "Eeyup," There was a brief silence between the two, "Uhh, did ya need something Miss Cheerilee?" Cheerilee quickly remembered why she stopped by Sweet Apple Acres. "Yes I was wondering if you would come to the dance with me next week?" Cheerilee blushed as she realised what she said, "I-i-i mean to help me look over the students there." Nervously laughing as she clarified. Big Macintosh took a moment , but eventually smiled and said, "Eeyup."  Cheerilee smiled, glad that her slip up didn't affect his decision, "That's great, thank you. Well I better get going before it gets too dark out, I'll see you later," Cheerilee happily trotted away towards her home. He waved goodbye to her until he heard somepony behind him speak, "So ya got a date for the dance next week ay?" He turned around to see his sister Applejack, "Well do ya?" Big Macintosh looked back at Cheerilee who was walking away, smiling he replied "Eeyup." //-------------------------------------------------------// DiamondSpoon's Date //-------------------------------------------------------// DiamondSpoon's Date Diamond Tiara sat in her room thinking “I can’t believe those blank flanks got dates already hmmph, I’m never going to live this down if I can’t find a date for this dance now who can I ask.” Diamond sat there looking over who is in her class. “I’m sure anyone of these colts would be glad to go with me but, none of them will do hmmm, I think I know just the boy to ask” she walked out of her room and into Ponyville heading towards a particular library. Silver Spoon sat in her room “who am I going to ask if I don’t find a good date then Diamond is going to lose it.” She got up and headed to her window “none of the colts in our class live up to Diamonds standards and the only colt I wanted to go with is going to the dance with Sweetie Belle.” Silver Spoon walked back and forth racking her brain trying to think of somepony to ask until an idea sparked in her head she rushed out of her home before anyone could ask her where she was going. Diamond Tiara walked up to the library and knocked on the door while she was waiting her friend Silver Spoon came up to the library too, “huh Silver Spoon what are you doing here?” before she could respond a purple unicorn opened the door. “Um can I help you two?” she looked down at them “Oh yes, can I talk to Spike please?” Silver Spoon asked before Diamond could,”Twilight raised an eyebrow “uh sure thing” Twilight walked back into the library to find Spike. “Silver how did you know I wanted to talk to Spike?” Diamond looked at her friend wondering how she read her mind. “What? you’re looking for Spike too? I just wanted to see if he can go to the dance with me.” Diamonds eye’s widened at her friends statement,”Wait whaa…” “Um Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon? you wanted to talk me.” The two of them turned to look at the purple dragon standing in front of them, Silver Spoon was quick to respond “Spike I was wondering…” she was interrupted by her friend “now hold on Spike I was going to ask you…” Silver spoke up, “hey this was my idea, Spike would you…” They kept interrupting each other not letting each other finish “HEY!!!” the two turned to look at the dragon, “what is it you two wanted to ask, I need to get back to work.” The two fillies blushed at there arguing in front of someone, “Will you go to the dance with me?” they both asked in unison. “uh… sure…” Spike spoke slowly as he wasn't sure who he answered. The two fillies spoke simultaneously, “Good pick me up about an hour before the dance starts on Saturday.” the two began walking away leaving Spike at the door confused. Twilight came up behind Spike ”uh Spike? what did those two fillies want?” “I think I just got a date for the dance this weekend.” Twilight smiled, “That's great Spike which one are you taking?” Twilight looked at Spike happy for him, Spike kept looking at where the two of them walked off to “Both.” As they were walking they both came to a realization Silver was the first to speak up, “Wait, did he say yes to me or you?” Diamond scoffed at her friend “I can’t believe you would even ask him when I was obviously there for the same thing?” Silver was annoyed by her friends selfish answer “I only wanted to find a date that would meet your standards.” “And why would you think Spike would meet my expectations.” “The fact that you were there asking him the same thing.” the two stood there glaring at each other. Diamond broke the silence, “Well it looks like Spike said yes to the both of us, so it looks like we’ll both go with him that should make him happy and everyone else jealous." Silver rolled her eyes at her friends statement and thought to herself “I'd better get to Spike before Diamond and prepare him for a night as her date.” Silver Spoon looked at her friend, “Well I better get back home, should we meet up tomorrow to find some clothes for Saturday?” Diamond rolled her eyes at her friend, “Of cause I'm not going to that dance without proper attire, come over early and we’ll find the perfect thing to wear.” The two continued with Silver Spoon only nodding to everything Diamond said.
