"Come on fluttershy!", says a little pegasus with a blue coat, "Just come on! you can fly can't you?" Fluttershy looks down at her hooves in shame. "no..." whispers the filly. She decided to peep through her hair in which she was hiding in. The pony laughed, "come on fluttershy! you must be joking!" Fluttershy slowly started to walk away, hiding in her hair she didn't want to be seen by anyone. She was crying, but was hiding from every pony else but herself. She stayed home that day to hide in the garden. She had a secret spot of her own; the middle of the garden, was covered by trees so no pony could see her from above. All the animals hid, and wondered elsewhere, except for a brave white bunny. The bunny hopped up to fluttershy, but fluttershy didn't notice her. She soon got up with her eyes closed and walked away to go back home. Having no siblings, she sat in her room and feared of the next day that she would have to go to flying school like every pony else.
She started to walk to school, but on a different trail of clouds than the other ponies. She didn't want to be laughed at or made fun of. Once she arrived to school, it seemed every pony knew her secret. She stepped into line, and before she knew it she was next in the race. When she looked to the right, there standing ready to fly is the pony she saw yesterday who told every pony her secret. Then the teachers voice boomed in her delicate ears: Ready, Set, GO! The other pony took off as fluttershy hid inside her wings. The class laughed at fluttershy, every pony did but Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy folded her wings up and shamefully walked to the side.
After class, Rainbow Dash walked up to Fluttershy and asked, "Are you okay?" Fluttershy slowly nodded. Rainbow Dash whispered to fluttershy, "You don't have to be scared, I'll be your friend." Fluttershy looked up at the rainbow haired pony, "Really?" and gave a small smile. Rainbow Dash smiled and said, "Yeah, and I'll even teach you how to fly!" Fluttershy looked a bit nervous at that thought. "Rainbow Dash!", Yelled Fiona, "Come on We're going to be late!" Rainbow Dash looked at Fiona in the distance, and looked back at Fluttershy. "I'll see you tomorrow!" Rainbow Dash opened her wings and then flew to Fiona to carry on a conversation that they started earlier. Fluttershy then whispered, "Yeah, I guess I'll see you tomorrow.."
