From the Blazes You Turn to Dust

Canterlot a beautiful city, placed on the side of a mountain, being the capital of Equestria meant being the best, there are six ways to get to Canterlot:

1.Riding the train

2.Flying over there

3.In a hot air balloon

4.teleportation

5.riding in a carriage (Usually for royalty)

6.Walking among the mountain path

While the sixth way is hardly used, usually due to the long winding road and hot/cold day/night, If anyone that was flying, or taking a carriage, they would have certainly see anyone who is crazy or tough enough to walk down that trechorous   path, they would be seen clear as day.

Mountain Pass

Then sun was extra hot today, probably because of the lack of clouds, the mountain path towards canterlot was empty as usual except for two people, only a crazy person would walk that path in the insane heat.

Well crazy or tough, two figures walked along the path their clothing are relatively thick heck, they are not even minding the heat, one of them had a bored expression, while the other had his hand behind his head, with a cheerful smile.

The bored one has mopped down blood red hair covering his left eye, the right one wasn't so everyone could tell he had orange eyes, he was wearing a white work-shirt with the collar buttoned down over a grey T-shirt, he wore light chocolate khaki pants and dark orange boots with a grey belt, slung on his back was his halberd, the end of the pole side had a small sharp shard and a white bandage wrapped around just a bit front, the blade however was a magnificent gold.

The cheerful had vibrant blue eyes and spiky light blue hair, he wore a dark blue hoodie, with the hood down, It's unzipped until his chest, under It there was the same grey shirt as the bored one, the hoodies dark blue sleeves reached until his elbows, replacing the dark blue was stripes glorious stripes, he wore pants that reached just above his ankle, with a loose belt around his thighs, red sneakers protected his feet from sharp objects, at his waist in a blue swords sheath the blades appearence unknown.

The cheerful one looked at his comrade "Blaze, where are we going, we've been walking for a long time" he asked him, his voice like a popular teen boy, Blaze answered with a deep husky voice "we're going to Canterlot Dust, Broken Bones back in Manehatten said that someone somewhere here might have a high paying job for us" Dust then looked at Blaze with a confused look, and then smiled "wow that's the longest sentence you ever said" the comment made Blaze grumble.

"Aw come on Blaze smile a little, were going to the capital of Equestria for Celestia's sake, would It kill you to smile" Blaze merely gave a bored glance to Dustand replied with "Yes", Dust narrowed his eyes and looked away saying "Fine be that way".

The rest of the trip was hopefully going to be silent.

Canterlot Royal Guard meeting room

"Um, sir, we lost the mercenaries in Manehatten, 24 of our men were injured" A guard reported.

A hand slammed on to the table, said hand belong to the captain of royal guards Shining Armour, on the table were two wanted posters, the pictures were Blaze and Dust.

Blaze's wanted poster had his full name, Burning Blaze the description was 'Beware of this mercenary, he is very skilled with fire magic, his modified halberd allows magic to flow through it, with his superior strength he can take out 4 manticore in one swipe, he Is very dangerous'.

Dust's poster also had his full name, Diamond Dust his description 'Beware of this mercenary, he is very skilled with ice magic, his modified katana allows magic to flow through It, his speed allows him to cut and run with extreme precision, he is very dangerous'.

Shining armour rubbed his temple, these two mercenaries kept defeating his guards, let it be the solar or the night guards, they would come back bloodied and beaten.

Their crimes have already risen more any criminal ever, "Ugh, If this keeps up, equestria will lose faith in the royal guards, and we'll be a laughing stock again".

The guards in the meeting room looked at each other, concerned, those two were famous, they performed their task expertly, and whenever they tried to trick them or lure them to capture, they would always, somehow find a way to escape, while harming a few guards on the way.

Shining Armour whispered under his breath "When I find you Burning Blaze and Diamond Dust, I send you into the deepest dungeon in Canterlot, and torture you until you can't even move"

Mountain Pass

Dust let out a sneeze, he sniffled and rubbed his nose, he looked at Blaze "I think someone was talking about me"

Blaze rolled his eyes and just said "You're too Superstitious"

Dust nodded "Yeah"  Dust placed a finger on his chin and then snapped "hey If we don't find that high-paying employer, hows about we go get some coffee?" He pulled out a sack of bits from his left pocket, shaking It, the gold bits jingled "I'm buying".

Blaze's left corner of his mouth rose slightly into a smirk "Sounds good", Dust grin widen and then raised his fist in the yelling "SWEET".

Dust then noticed the smirk on Blaze's mouth, "Hey Blaaaaze, you're smiling~" In an instant the smirk dissipated, he regretted that he even smirk, he remembered why he doesn't smile that often, along the trip Dust kept talking on and on about how he should smile more, Blaze face palmed and muttered "Shut Up".
