//-------------------------------------------------------// Lovely Roses -by Iron Jikininki- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Iron the Earth Pony //-------------------------------------------------------// Iron the Earth Pony "Oh, hello there Mr. Dandelion." Iron said as he walked through his garden of foliage. Iron was an Earth Pony, he could not fly nor use magic, but being an Earth Pony builds muscles in the hooves. Iron was a very kind and truthful pony, but also very shy. His coat was this very light grey while his mane shimmered with deep blue and cyan. Iron loved flowers, more than anything in Equestria. His most favorite flower was the rose. He loved how it's funnel-shaped structure was covered in crimson red color. Often he would cut himself from the thorns on the stem of the rose by accident, but he didn't care. He tended to his garden everyday, watering it, planting replacement seeds for when some of his flowers died, giving them lots of sunlight. One morning, he came into his garden and found that his favorite rose was dying. Iron knew he had to buy a new one, but he didn't want to. He loved that rose. The following day he went back to his garden, tending to his flowers, and oh so desperately trying to help his rose back to health, but to no avail. "What to do, what to do, what to do?!" He said to himself. " I don't want to buy a new rose, I like this one just fine! Why do you have to die little rose? Why!?" Iron was sad about his precious flower, but he knew the day would come sooner or later when it would die. He sank his head down in sadness. "Oh well, I guess this is goodbye rose." He said as he left his garden. iron went into his house to get his coin purse. As he got it he left the house and locked the door, then started trotting towards the Ponyville Flower Shop. As he trotted down the dirt path, he passed by Sugarcube Corner, and who else but Pinkie Pie was standing over the roof singing another one of her cheerful songs in a chorus with everypony. Iron smiled and kept walking toward the flower shop. It was a few blocks away but he liked the exercise it gave him. As he arrived in front of the shop, he saw his two friends Snow Frost and  Rough Ride. Both were Pegasi and always hung out together. "Hey Iron!" Snow Frost said as she landed on the path followed by Rough Ride. "So what are you up to today? Me and Frost were just over at the Cafe. We came over to only say Hi and then we were going to go back. Wanna come?" Rough said. "Yeah wanna come?!" Snow Frost was always this excited. You could even say she could be Pinkie Pie if she were a Pegasus. "Uhm thanks but no thanks, I got some errands to do. and some flowers to tend to afterwards." Iron said with glee. "Dude, you LOVE that garden don't you?" "Well duh, Ride, its like, his favorite thing in his life!" " Well.. anyway, if you change your mind you know where we'll be." Rough Ride said as he flew off towards the Cafe with Snow Frost behind him. "See ya later Iron!" She said as they flew off. "See ya guys." Iron said as he turned back to the shop. He took a deep breath, and entered. //-------------------------------------------------------// Those Big, Dumb, Meanies! //-------------------------------------------------------// Those Big, Dumb, Meanies! Daisy was leaving the shop when she saw the group coming towards the shop. She thought they were just looking for something to buy at the last minute. Daisy approached them and said "I'm sorry, young colts, but we're closed for the day. The middle pony of the group, who's coat was a deep black with orange and lime green streaks in his mane, stepped forward and said "Look miss, I'm warning you right now, stay out of our way." Daisy looked confused. As she tried to grasp the situation, the middle pony bumped her out of his way and glared at her. Daisy looked frightened and was worried because Rose was still in the shop. The middle pony ordered one of his goons to keep an eye on Daisy while they went inside. The other two ponies opened the door and went inside. "Ugh, why am I stuck reorganizing the shelves while Daisy goes home? It's not fair, and I thought it was Lily's turn to reorganize.." Said Roseluck as she was sorting the shelves. Then, she heard the door open in the main part of the shop. "Who could that be? Eh, maybe Daisy forgot her saddlebag." She thought as she shrugged the thought off her shoulder and continued to organize. but she stopped when she heard drawers being rustled through. //-------------------------------------------------------// Beauty In the Shop //-------------------------------------------------------// Beauty In the Shop As Iron walked into the shop, he saw the usual things when he always visited. He saw Daisy at the counter selling some bouquets to somepony. Iron glanced over to Daisy in a way you could read "Hi" on his face. Daisy grinned as she gave the colt his bouquet of flowers. As the pony left the shop, Iron ran over to Daisy trying to catch his breath. "What's wrong?!" Daisy asked with concern. "It-It-It's my precious rose flower! It's dying!" Iron exclaimed with worry. "Thats it?" Daisy said with a smile. "There's nothing to worry about, I'll have my friend get you a new rose for you. Roseluck!" Daisy yelled from across the room. Iron glanced over and saw a mare with a very light tan coat coloring, along with her mane coursing of crimson red and rosy pink. "What is it Daisy?" The mare asked with a smile on her face. " I need you to go get my customer a rose! A very pretty rose." "A rose?! Why yes of course! I'll get you that rose sir!" Iron looked confused, he had never seen a mare with such determination to get the job done as she was. Iron waited for what seemed only seconds as Roseluck came bolting into the room with a rose in her hooves held tightly in place. She came rushing over to Iron and gently placed the rose on his hoof. Iron had a blush across his face but neither Daisy nor Roseluck could notice, and Iron was relieved they didn't, it would have been awkward if they did. Iron shook the blush off his face and gave Daisy the bits needed to pay for the rose and walked out of the shop. As he walked out he fell over against the wall. "Wow..." Is all he could mutter. On the way back to his home, Iron saw a peculiar group heading towards the flower shop. Iron didn't think much of the group, though he did wonder why they were going to buy flowers one minute before the shop closed for the night. He just brushed the thought from his mind and kept trotting down the trail. Daisy was leaving the shop when she saw the group coming towards the shop. She thought they were just looking for something to buy at the last minute. Daisy approached them and said "I'm sorry, young colts, but we're closed for the day.
