Twilight Wingsby Slick InkChaptersThe RaceTwilight's LessonRainbow Dash's LetterEpilougePaperworkRainbow DashThe RaceRainbow Dash and Twilight were up at the starting point, ready to begin. Rainbow Dash would be the one to count down for them. They prepared themselves for the race, this was the moment. Twilight and Dash both got low to the ground, they looked at each other for a little bit, before Twilight broke the silence. "You know, I've never actually had a race before." She said. Rainbow Dash looked surprised. "Realy?" Twilight nodded her head silently. Rainbow Dash looked around as if searching for the words. "Well, uh, first thing you got to know is---3,2,1, go!" Rainbow Dash zipped off leaving Twilight back on the cloud, wings and legs outstretched. "Never get distracted." Rainbow zoomed off. "Yeah, uh, I'll remember that one Dash." Twilight got to her hooves quickly, not even bothering to brush off she dashed after Dash. Rainbow had to be at least 50 hooves ahead of her by now, Twilight flexed her wings letting the wind catch them as she flapped them as hard as she could. She was gaining now, she was at 40 hooves and gaining, 30 hooves, 25 hooves. They were approaching the finish line now. She could hear Dash say, "This is where it gets nasty." Oh no! She saw Dash look back at her. Oof! A small red, orange and grey cloud hit Rainbow Dash in the face. She heard a very distinctive noise, "Ewwahh!" With that noise Rainbow Dash was sent flying into the air. Twilight set hooves on the finish line cloud. She heard a kind of ''Ah!" Come from overhead, and then a blue Pegasus smacked down on the cloud. "Twilight then Lectured her, "That just proves you shouln't cheat. Right?" Twilight questioned Rainbow with a smile upon her face. "Yeah, sure." Rainbow replied just before her head smacked into the cloud. Twilight's LessonDear Princess Celestia... Today I learned that you shouldn't give up hope, even when times are dark, and there isn't a chance, just hold onto that hope. Earlier today I was sure I was going to lose a race I was having with Rainbow Dash, but in the end she cheated and hope prevailed. Speaking of Rainbow Dash, I think she learned an important lesson too, not to cheat. But what am I saying, you'll probably get a letter from her about it. Your faithful Princess Twilight Sparkle... Rainbow Dash's LetterDear Princess Celestia... I didn't learn anything today, I just thought I should write to you. Anyway, today I had a really cool race with Twilight, and colt did I teach her a lesson. I taught Twilight not to get distracted. Yeah that's right, hardest lesson of 'em all, but I think it actually worked, so she probably won't be getting so distracted next time you have her write a book about being a princess. What was that all about anyway? Well that's all I have to say, so yeah taught her a lesson. Bye! Your awesome flyer Rainbow Dash... EpilougeThe guard having run away from his post couldn't come back he couldn't face the princess now. The guard ran down to his barracks, fearing that the princess would find him. He ditched his armor in the barracks, and jumped to his bunk. After running all the way it was dark out, ponies weren't supposed to go in and out of the barracks after night. After.ng all the way he jadn't much energy left, the rain had soaked dpwn into his fur, he lied down on his bed not thinking of the dangers when he heard the door at the end of the hall open. Seeing who it was he quietly got under his covers before anypony could see him. Celestia and two royal guards walked down the hallway towards him. He began to shiver as the guards and Celestia neared him. All he could do was hope for the best. The thundering footsteps were very near now, he didn't dare breath. The footsteps stopped next bunk, he could hear whispering, this was it he was gone. The blanket above him lifted with a light blue magic, it got pushed to the side. When he daredto look up he was staring in the eyes of the princess. "I'm sorry." Was all he could say. Behind Celestia there was a noise, a noise he wasn't sure of he had heard before, but he knew it was a good sound. The sound that made papers fly, the sound that brought fear itto the heart of Sombra himself, the sound was "Wirrrr, wirrrr, wirrrr." The pony behind the desk near the end of the doorway fled to the outside uttering curses that shall not be mentioned at this time. Yes, the former guard was dure of what it was, he saw in the corner of his eye behind Celestia, a blue rectangular box. Out pf this box stepped a stallion in a tie, he was wearing glasses, rectangular glasses. He shoued rather loudly. "I say, get in here all ready." Before jumping back in himself. The guard jumped from his bed and lept in the box. All this time Celestia and her guards just stood there, Celestia's mouth was hanging open, until one of the guards closed it for her. Bringing back ger senses Celestia asked the stallion a question that was asked to him many times, "Who are you? She asked. He popped his head out of the box to reply. "Oh, uh. I'm THE Doctor, pleasure to see you princess. Now if you'll excuse me..." He popped back inside of his box, there was the "Wirrrr" again. "Doctor Who" Celestia asked. He popped his head out one last time to say, "Oh, uh sorry" before popping it back in again, leaving Celestia to ponder. "DOCTOR WHO?!?!?!" THE END Paperwork The darn paperwork was almost as bad as when Celestia had had Twilight write a book about being a princess that she had to follow, almost. Twilight had promised Rainbow Dash she would go flying with her, but she just couldn't find the time. No. She told herself, I can and will find the time. She was sure of it, just had to get away from that guard. She wondered how she would do that. Just jump out the window? Nah. Dash past him? Nah. Secretly teleport away from him? Nah. "Your majesty?" Asked a recognizable blue unicorn holding a clipboard in his hooves, quite ready by this time to take the pen from her and sign it himself. Unfortunately that wouln't do him a bit of good, aside from practice. "Oh, uh, yes?" Twilight asked trying to look calm, with a cheap smile on her face. The stallion was looking very unsure at this point in time. "Please sign here." He said to her with a rather annoyed look on his face. "Oh, uh, okay." Replied Twilight as she signed the paper, still thinking about her friend. "It's signed Rainbow Dash, oh well, I guess it will have to do." He took the clipboard from her and thanked her all at once. "Thank you your majesty." Said Spell Nexus as he began to turn about and walk out the door. The guard seeing this yelled at what seemed to be the top of his lungs, "Next!" "No." Twilight quickly responded. The royal guard simply looked at her rather weirdly. She looked back a bit blankly. "I uh, have a terrible headache." She said very unconvincingly. He looked very unconvinced. She tried again. "Ah, oh no! I don't know how long I can last. Ah!" She gently slipped out of the window. The guard was looking even less convinced. But nonetheless he didn't want to be around when Celestia found out about, and thus left. ~~~ Rainbow DashRainbow Dash, was taking a practice flight around the course she had prepared ahead of time for her and Twilight, but no matter what she did she just couldn't keep flying until Twilight got there, so she had decided to take a rest. She lay down on a cloud up in the sky, wondering how long it would take Twilight to get there, when she heard a shout that made her fall off her cloud. "Hey, Rainbow Dash." Twilight yelled at her. The word I would describe for Rainbow Dash wouldn't be happy, no. It would be quite the opposite actualy. Rainbow Dash looked up at Twilight from the ditch she had fallen into. "Who is---Twilight!" A smile began to light up on her face as she climbed out of ditch. "Are you ready for the big race?" She asked anxiously. "Race?" Twilight asked a looking a little bit puzzled. "Whoever said anything about a race?" Twilight began to believe she didn't know what she'd gotten herself into. "Don't you remember? We were going to go on a race together." Rainbow's face however was high spirited, she was flicking that tail like nothing could stand in her way. Twilight got wide eyed, "Now wait a second, I didn't agree to do any race." Twilight tried to get herself out of it. "Don't try to pull anything on me." Rainbow Dash told her. "I remember you clearly saying you would fly with me. No going back" She was determined to get Twilight to have a race with her, nothing was going to stand in her way. Nothing. "I agreed to fly with you, not race with you." Twilight was panicking at this point, she'd never really had a race before. Let alone with the most talented flyer in all of ponyville, she thought she thought to herself. "Ha! More like the most talented flyer in all of Equestria. Rainbow said grinning. Twilight was shocked. "Did I seriously just say that outloud?" She asked like she a javelin through her chests. Rainbow Dash looked at her. "You kind of did." She said. At this point she couldn't help but burst out laughing. Twilight was getting a little bit annoyed at this point. "Let's just get this over with." She said.
