Born into Revolution
Chapter 2
Previous ChapterI woke up almost before dawn and yawned, then stood up and cracked my neck, note to self: do not sleep sitting upright on a piece of rock. As soon as I took a step forward my foot hit something and a metal clang reverberated through the room, looking down I saw that the armor was surrounding me, not a very good sign since nobody was around during the night. I avoided the armor as best as I could have, then looked around at the other areas, I found an entrance in the back that leads down and followed it. I reached the bottom and found a rather wierd sight: a solid steel door with a keypad next to it, or rather, a keypad that fits a giants hand more than mine, but I found a way to make it work. I entered the command to unlock the case and pulled it off, then started rewiring it so that the door will open no matter what key I put in. I pulled a red wire and a blue wire then crossed their paths before realising I left my soldering equipment in my bags upstairs, and headed back for it. I came back up, grabbed all my bags and headed back down, when I got to where I was before I looked through my bags for a battery-powered soldering iron, which ended up in my backpack. I took it out and started pulling wires and soldering them to different parts of the pad and put it all back together, then entered a random key, which was accepted and the door slowly ground open, revealing the motherload of computer parts, metal pieces, plastic sheets, gunpowder kegs, and several clear tanks containing some sort of bluish-black, opaque liquid. I shut the door behind me, then turned around and approached the liquid in the tanks before stepping in something wet, pointing my light down I saw it was the same liquid as before, pointing my light upwards I saw that the other tanks above them had some sort of milky-white liquid inside that seemed to generate a small amount of light, looking at the writing it said liquid white magic

"guess they don't want anyone selling off their merchandise, bit odd when you think about it" I said aloud, thenshined my light at the back of the room. There, a triplet of doors led to different directions, the leftmost one going left, the center going straight but having a ladder off to the side a little ways inside and the rightmost one going right. I looked down the three doorways before going down the center one, boots crunching beneath the gravel that fell from the cieling, gun out in front of me. Before long I entered a room lit brightly by several overhead tungsten lights, showcasing a tinkerer's heaven: a large workstation with several tools for welding, soldering, cutting and shaping, with enough supplies of wiring and insulation to make several full-sized powerplants, hundreds upon hundreds of double-A and triple-A batteries, lots of solder rods, stacks of a poly-uerathane fabric labeled 'Kevlar KM-2'. I backed back into the main room and went left, which led to a massive cuboard stocked with any type of non-perishable foods, which next to that was a walk-in freezer which likely held the perishable foods, to the right of the cuboard was a pair of electric stoves, with convection ovens underneath, in the middle was a large table for prepping food, and above that was a large collection of various knives of different sizes, beneath the table was piles of cases of seasons, anything from oregano to cinammon, chile pepper to salt, and anything in between. I went back to the main room again and went to the right door, inside was another set of doors, one going left, and another going right, and on opposite walls were actual bedrooms, obviously it was meant for a crew of maybe a couple dozen people. I went through the right door and came upon a small eight-by-six room with a metallic floor, about three inches from the wall in each direction was a yellow strip of light, I backed away and went through the other door, which held an armory of sorts, containing weapons and attachments I have never seen before, I looked at one of the weapons and picked it up, and started examining it...
