Equestria Highby Ethereal TrixsterChaptersRiding to PonyvilleNext turnSpring in her stepPrimadonna and the shoeMoney TalksRiding to PonyvilleScarlet’s eyes stared out the bus’s window, counting the number of telephone poles that passed by, anything to keep his mind from lingering thoughts of his old home. "Umm Crescent, do you have any other games? Twilight kinda beat this one." His eyes turned toward the fourteen year old sitting across from him, shaggy lime green hair covering his forehead, and on the rare occasion glancing into his penguin colored eyes. A purple hoodie hung loosely off of him, his jeans were a light blue that covered over his orange sneakers. His eyes traced the poor boys hands, his fingers were scratching at the arm rest in irritation. Or it could have been anticipation; he wasn't entirely sure as he blinked once or twice. "Spike, don't bother him. He was kind enough to ride on the bus to canter lot to pick us up. Now he was kind enough to ride with us to Ponyville, so we can stay with his family for this school year so if I'm bored that's a small price to pay for his hospitality." The eldest of the two spoke with much clarity and poise as she looked at her companion. Her name was Twilight Sparkle and her brother’s name was Spike. Her hair was a mixture of purple, violet and pink. One set of bangs was set to the side. Normally people would believe it was some sort of hair dye yet this was a common occurrence in equestria. Those violet eyes spoke volumes of her apologetic tone. The seventeen year old wore a purple sweater-vest covering a white t-shirt, the violet skirt to go with her ensemble traveled easily past her knees. The crimson eyed teenager glanced at the loafers hanging off her feet. "You have to admit it Twilight, we beat that puzzle game in about seven hours, so ask him for another." "No, Spike. It's rude and just look at him. I doubt he's done anything since he's gotten on the bus, besides staring out the window." Her eyes turned towards their escort, who was a bit different then she imagined, but in a good way. When they had first met he greeted them and he welcomed them on the bus with open arms, joking with Spike as they boarded the bus. His scarlet eyes held joy when they first met even a jovial smile, compared to the distant look of boredom he had now. His hair was a mixture of black with white tips, most likely dyed from the way the black coloring started to take over the white dabs on each tip. He wore a black jacket covering a navy blue t-shirt, a pendant hanging loosely around his neck with a pair of goggles that were also hanging loosely around his neck. The teenager wore a pair of faded denim jeans and a faded brown pair of sneakers. Overall, he didn't look too bad. Well, in her opinion anyways. "I'm sorry about Spike. He is easily distracted." She smiled at the teen in front of her. His eyes turned towards her. "It's fine. Really. Your brother is right. It’s kinda boring to be on this bus. I can't do anything about it though. See? I only brought one game. After all it was supposed to keep you busy till the bus ride ended." He glanced at the male. His fingers were tapping across the arm rest again in agitation. "So how about we talk about ourselves instead? Yeah that seems more appropriate since you are staying with us for a while." It was simple for the teenage. Change the subject to something about themselves until they got to Ponyville and then he'd sleep. Oh how he intended to sleep the day away. "How about you start us off and I'll finish with a bang?" Spike looked at the teenager with penguin eyes trying to gauge the intentions of his sudden question, the only thing that was visible in those scarlet eyes was restlessness. "I'll start Twilight, my name is Spike Sparkle, I'm fourteen and I have an older sister and brother with two loving parents. I like fire; it looks pretty cool, video games, and some girls of Equestria. I dislike seeing guys hit on Twilight, people picking on me and lists. I hate those the most." His face turned towards Twilight as she gave a sheepish grin, scratching the back of her head. "So that's about it, now it’s your turn stranger." He glanced at the teen in front of him; the anger was clear as the word stranger etched from Spike's mouth. Perhaps his good intentions weren't as well received as he originally thought. "Alright since you asked so nicely I should oblige. My name is Crescent Lulamoon. You both should know that by now at least. I have a sister and one of my parents. My hobbies are photography, keeping in shape, collecting playing card decks from foreign countries, reading and studying my grandfather's research papers. Oh and teasing my twin sister. The dislikes I have are people misinterpreting me, anyone hurting my sister or a girl in general, people insulting my family and decaf coffee is what I hate the most." He looked on at the two as they blinked momentarily at his introduction. Perhaps he was a bit too forthcoming about his personal info. "So, what did your grandfather research? Was it on how the founding of countries back story or something involving Equestria?" "No. It’s nothing like that. It follows what Grandpa Azure liked to research. What many people call the elements of Harmony and the magic they held." He didn't rise to the snicker coming from Spike. Crescent was used to this sort of thing, even now, many thought that his grandfather was insane, but insane or not, he brought many contributions to the understanding of equestria's founding. "Though that was a personal investment of his time, he's done a lot of other major research projects to worldwide his recent one is in Griffonia." "So, do you believe your grandfather was right? That magic existed a long time ago and is just some forgotten relic of the past?" "Do I look insane? My grandfather believed that magic truly existed but don't lump me into the same group as him. I want to find out about Equestria's past. If reading through countless journal entries about how magic was the catalyst to the rise of this and bordering nations, then I'll do it for that one scrap of knowledge about this country. Grandpa loved that topic but the one thing we differ on is the existence of magic." His eyes brimmed with joy as Twilight leaned towards him. "Now that I've answered those questions, can you introduce yourself Twilight?" She backed away sheepishly for she had been so interested in his heritage she forgot about her own introduction. "Yeah, so my name is Twilight Sparkle, I have two brothers and both of my parents if you couldn't tell by Spike's introduction. I like books, all types of books actually as long as they are decently written or full of things I don't know. Books are high up on my list, my brothers and princess Celestia. What I dislike is those that flaunt themselves, superiority complexes and finally anyone who picks on spike. Oh and my goal is to be either Princess Celestia's personal assistant or a librarian that writes books in her spare time." "So books huh? You don't seem like the secluded quiet type." His eyes still trained on Twilight, only catching a subtle glare from Spike as he stretched in his chair. "So, how far are we away from Ponyville then?" He glanced at his sister as she smiled sheepishly, twiddling her thumbs, at the sudden confession form the stranger "I don't know actually. But I can go ask the bus driver if you want." He ignored the glare from Spike; the thought of how long they were away from ponyville wasn't far from his mind as he looked at them both. "Yeah, if you don't mind doing it for us that is Crescent." "Not at all. I'm sure we’re not too far away but its better safe then sorry." His eyes left them as he finally left his seat leaving the two alone the thoughts of reuniting with his family etched in his mind clearly, as he passed the few people riding it to Ponyville. "What was that all about, Spike?" "What? I'm just looking out for you. That's all." "I'm perfectly capable of handling myself. Besides, he hasn't done one thing for you to mistrust him." She looked at her younger brother as his penguin eyes seemed to relent on this particular subject. "I'm not sure if you know this, but his Grandfather was pretty famous and even Princess Celestia listened to him on certain subjects. Spike, this is a big opportunity. Sure we’re not going to Canterlot anymore and we'll only be here for a year but mom and dad said if I earn straight A's this year then I'd be backed by Canterlot University for a full scholarship. Think about it, Spike." She knew that her brother had to attend four more years of school before going to college, but this was an opportunity that she could not miss. "Then, why do I feel like I'm being dragged along? Couldn't you have gone by yourself?" "Mom felt that I would be safer with a familiar face and with Shining in the military and them assisting Celestia..." "So, I was the only choice then?" He felt his sister's arms wrap around him in a hug. A silent thank you was all that was said. "Twilight, I'll behave just for this year." "Thanks Spike." She released him as soon as her eyes fell on their esteemed guess. "We should be at the bus stop in about thirty minutes. Give or take the traffic but we will be there soon." Crescent smiled to himself, these two weren't as bad as he originally thought and maybe he could Spike to lighten up a bit, maybe. Author's Note Disclaimer:I do not own My little pony:Friendship is magic, nor will I ever. It sucks writing that down. Anyway if you read this much and would like to contribute to the story please comment I kind of need male oc's since the MLP Universe seems to be lacking in that department. I might even pair them up with somebody here is a template if you want to contribute other then that peace. Name: Personality: Likes: Dislikes: Physical appearance: Clothing preferences: Who would you like to see this character paired up with?: Next turnTrixie sighed as she looked into the mirror, her cornflower blue hair covered her grayish-violet eyes only traces of boredom could only be found in them. A black car sped down the highway, her mother humming dome tune from the new sensation Dj Pon3. Trixie was bored and she'd be the first to admit it to anyone that bothered to ask her that, but still it was better than staying in Manehattan with him. "You think Crescent will be okay on that bus all alone?" She glanced at her mother, that velvet red hair cascaded down her back, the amber eyes that held only innocence as she looked down at the highway. The Orange sundress clung to her frame as the lithe figure only smiled more as the beat became more aggressive. "I'm sure he'll be fine Trixie, Grandpa paid for some of the finest lessons in self-defense for all three of us." She glanced over at her daughter the look of boredom was as plain as the day she had those two. Selene just wished Trixie would show some initiative in the way she dressed herself. A light purple shirt clung to her frame, too tightly for it too be called fashion as stars littered it, only those that did pay attention to the shirt and not what they so tightly concealed was the word trickster. The azure colored jeans clung to her legs, a weird fashion choice but no one complained as her shirt was bad enough. "So dear have you gave it any thought on which college you want to attend to, or are you going to look for a relationship this year?" "I already told you mom, I'm going to apply for Canterlot this year, and who I choose to date should be none of your business." She glanced out the window, it was common for her mom to pry in her personal life, and ever since last year she did everything to make her feel as comfortable as possible, even if it was going out of her way to help meet someone new. "Mom I'll be fine, its high school were talking about." She knew the cruelties of high school, her own personal preference made her an outcast in Manehattan. The very thought of her being teased, brought memories of the constant teasing she endured through the years grated on her, especially her own family. "Mom can I ask you something?" "Sure you can, though if it's about Grandpa I can't tell you much." "It isn't about grandpa mom, it's about dad." She could see her mother's hands tighten around the steering wheel. "Trixie, I thought we said we wouldn't talk about him." she said his name with venom as the mere mention of him passively irritated her. Her husband was no father to any of them, and he would never have the chance to see them again if she had a say in the matter and she did until they left for college. "It's just a question, besides we are moving because of him aren't we?" It was a fact, Alfred Lulamoon was the reason they were, moving to Ponyville. "One question then we drop the subject Trixie, I'd rather not think of him ever again." Amber eyes hardened at the thought of him coming back to Manehattan after leaving for ten years pissed her off, and she didn't count the visits . Even hearing her daughter call him dad irritated her the only true thing he had ever done was bring these two into her once lonely life. "Why don't you divorce him, I mean he'd get a lot of money Grandpa left for you and us, but we wouldn't have to see him anymore." It was a thought that had started forming back when she was a freshman, she had no sympathy for her father now. "I can't, maybe in a year or two I'll file for one Trixie, but right now I just can't." "Is it because of us?" Trixie knew that they were involved somewhere in the matter, they'd yell their names aloud as they argued back and forth during his visits, most words unintelligible as one slurred his words and the other sobbed as he left crying alone and usually beaten. "It's complicated Trixie, and no I won't lie to you, you two are a very big reason that I haven't. Lets drop the subject, I want our time in Ponyville to be one full of good memories." She turned the steering wheel, the car finally exiting the highway finally entering the borders of Ponyville, laid right before them was a beautiful apple orchard decorated the scenery as they drove further down the road. Asphalt ended as the car jostled back and forth on the dirt road, a few locals looked on as they passed by, each one whispering to themselves. "Mom can I get a car?" Her eyes venturing off towards a large lumbering Man staring at them as his image only lasted but a few seconds before passing him by. "We both have our license, and Crescent won't bother to ask, so I am." Her eyes drifted as they finally left the acres of apple trees, the city of Ponyville finally visible as the dirt road ended and the asphalt began. "I'm not promising anything, but I'll see how much we can spare, but if we do get one and payments are required you'll need to get a job then Trixie." Her eyes didn't say nothing as she passed a gingerbread looking cafe, her eyes scanning through the streets as a white movers van stood out among the crowd of cars parked in front of a one story house. "This place looks interesting enough." "So this is our home?" "Yeah I know it isn't much but it'll get better." I hope so, anyways how many rooms are there going to be?" "There are three rooms total, you are going to share with someone alright?" "Fine." Trixie glanced at the home being stuffed full of their trinkets and sort of boxes the movers slowly lifting the last box to their new home. Author's Note Hope you liked this chapter the next should be coming in a day or two. Spring in her step"Wake up!" "gmhnjdknsf" "If you don't get up right now, I'm going to get Dad to drag you out of bed." "Fine, what do you want squirt?" Magenta eyes fluttered open as she glanced deep into the pair of purple eyes staring two inches away from her face. "Dad said to get your lazy butt up, and take me to Rarity's to go meet Sweetie Belle." A small tuff of violet hair crossed over her forehead as she looked at her older sister, sprawled out on the bed only in her undergarments. "What time is it then squirt?" Her eyes trailed over her little sister as she gazed at her attire for the day, a medium orange t-shirt with some skateboarding emblem decorated the front, she couldn't remember what it stood for, but to Scootaloo it meant the world and that was all that mattered. A pair of black shorts stopped at her knees, bandages and scratches covering the lower half of her legs. Her hair was still in a punkish looking state, the style seemed tedious to Rainbow Dash, but it was her sisters choice and she would stick by it. Her bare feet tapped on the tiled floor in a constant rhythm, as Rainbow slowly raised from her bed. "Its a little past twelve, now get up and take me to Sweetie Belle...please." She looked at her sister as she finally sat up on the bed, cyan undergarments clung to her lithe frame as she stretched in front of her, muscles decorated her arms as each one moved back and forth. Her skin tone was a beautiful with that only lost its beauty compared to her hair. Rainbow hair cascading down to her shoulders, not a single inch of bed head from what Scootaloo could see. Her legs stretched forward, toes cracking as she flexed them before both feet touched the icy cold floor. "Fine squirt, but were stopping by Derpy's first I haven't seen her since last week." She pushed her body off the bed, each step on the cold tile floor was another second closer to her dresser and a pair of socks along with the rest of her clothes. "Derpy, is Ditzy's sister right, the one with the eye problem?" Rainbow opened the drawer as she searched through the garbled mess of clothes for something "Scootaloo that eye problem is called Strabismus, and yeah Ditzy is her sister. How someone as sweet as Derpy is related to such a crab apple I'll never know. Scoot look away I'm changing now." She didn't bother looking back as she let her panties drop to the ground, and replacing them with a similar pair just as quick as they left her body. "So when do I have to pick you up?" Her bra snapped open as B-cups bounced free. "Rainbow don't say big words they make you seem to smarter than you actually are." Her eyes glancing at the ground, finding her toes more interesting than her practically naked sister. "Fine, but WHEN can I expect to pick you up then?" Her arms reaching behind as a sports bra replaced the one lying on the ground, she eyed a pair of white ankle socks smirking at the relief of the cold floor would soon be imminent. "You can look now if you want." "You don't need to, I'm spending the night over there, Applebloom is coming too." The voice brought her back to reality as she gazed back at her sister's hair, the myriad of colors called to each time she stared at it. Her sister was the only one in equestria with Rainbow hair, yet she made no attempt to pamper it or anything only washing it and brushing it on occasion, most people she knew would call this a travesty as something so majestic should be pampered and every time some one brought it up her sister would swiftly reply with 'Its just hair, its nothing special'. Her trance broken as white covered her hair, a plain white t-shirt now covering the top half of her sister's body, pulling out a pair of shorts from the mess she called a dresser. "That's great, maybe one of the Apple's can give Derpy and I a ride to Fluttershy's if she is at Rarity's." Cyan blue shorts with a red, yellow and white streaks covered the lower half of her body, they stopped right above the knees. She smiled as her eyes glanced towards Scootaloo and the figure in the door way. "Hi dad, so what's for lunch?" Emerald met magenta in a stare down, both unrelenting as the figure smiled at her. His face was one of gentleness as he looked on at both of his daughters, the dark pthalo blue hair combed to cover tinge of gray hairs he had. The cornflower blue shirt etched with countless white feathered etched into it, clung to his large frame almost as if it was a second skin. Dark blue sweatpants etched with bright yellow lightning bolts decorating the front of both pant legs. "I'm glad to see you are finally up, good job getting your sister up Scoot I knew you could do it. Rainbow you shouldn't stay up all night you have things to do its not healthy for you, and its setting a bad example for Scootaloo." He grinned as he walked towards the both of them, both eyeing him as he stopped in front of Scootaloo, his hands motioning for his eldest daughter to come near him. the second she was in grabbing distance he pulled her towards them embracing them both in a bear hug. "I got wonderful news you two, Spitfire's finally coming home." He didn't need to hear anything as they embraced him tighter than, all three finally releasing from their embrace as they stared at each other. He looked at the tears of joy traveling down each of his daughters eye at the wonderful news. "She's on her way home, right now riding a bus, I can't tell you when she'll be home but it will be soon okay you two?" Soarin smiled at his daughters cheeriness as both nodded to each other."Now you two go prepare for whatever your doing today, I'll call you both when mom's home." He didn't even need to speak twice as they both rushed past a smile still plastered on their face, finally the Cloud family would be complete again. Author's Note So if any of you didn't catch that or notice it, Rainbow Dash's official name in here is Rainbow Dash Cloud, Dash being her middlename instead of apart of her first name. Primadonna and the shoeRainbow smiled as she waited at the door her blue gym shoes already tied tightly, Scootaloo finally coming towards her a backpack bouncing around with each step she took, a skateboard in her hands as she grinned at her older sister. "Ready to go Squirt?" She watched her look around seeing if her father was around as she nodded as fast as possible. "Then let's go I've got things to do and I'm sure you do as well." Her hands slowly opened the door as her sister bolted out first stepping down the stairs, Rainbow closed the door behind them. Any trace of movement stopped as her sister stared across the street from her a large moving truck blocked the view of what most likely was the once vacant house.. Violet eyes watched the moving truck leave as the door to the white house closed. "Did you see that we got new neighbors, I wonder what they looked like?" Her curiosity was quelled as she felt her sister's hand press on her shoulder, the skateboard dropped to the ground with a clack. She set her left foot on it as she waited for her sister to let go of her. "Scoot, I don't know, but whoever it is they probably are good people so let's get you too Rarity's and I'll go check out the bus station." Her plans changed instantly at the mention of mom, she was sure she'd spend the night there if she had to. Her mom was her idol, and she'd be damned if Scootaloo or herself wasn't the first to greet her. Her grip on Scootaloo's shoulder loosened as she watched an adult head inside. "See someone around our age, we'll go say hi to them someday, maybe next week to see how they are getting used to school but definitely not today." Magenta eyes stared at the girl looking at her dark blue clothes and she looked no older than her they both gazed at each other, sizing each other up in different categories. Her musings were ended by the sound of Scootaloo's skateboard rolling down the sidewalk, reminding Rainbow what was truly important and that was seeing if her mom was on that bus. Her feet lurched forward as each step she took was another towards her sister. Scootaloo never looked back as she took off down the sidewalk the sound of wheels rolling on the flat concrete surface as the few adults moved out of her way. The back of her skateboard slid across the pavement as she came to a halt on an intersection. Thoughts of her mother passed through her head as she stared at the cross-walk light, memories of the smell of orange lingering off her mom's hair as she hugged her tightly, before going off to Griffonia to fight the good fight. 'She's coming home and that means we can finally be a complete family.' A smile of optimistic joy graced the girls face as she felt all too familiar hand on her right shoulder, violet eyes looked towards her sisters face as it looked without a care in the world, Scootaloo knew better though whenever her sisters face was the most peaceful that just meant she was deeper in thought. "Are you excited about mom coming home Dash?" Her tone was a little lower than usual wondering if her sister would catch on. "Of course I am, who wouldn't be excited Scoot?" Her voice full of faux confidence as her eyes tried to bore holes through the cross walk light, willing it to change for her. She would lie to Scootaloo, mom returning home was a blessing with a small sense foreboding, the feeling of her being snatched away in a month or two, Equestria needing her ace pilot services once again. Rainbow could never bring up what she really felt on the topic of her mother, five years was a long time to wait for a hug and kiss which wasn't even the real issue of where have you been a good chunk of my life. 'No, I just want to know if she's staying or would she be called back to duty to fight another battle.' She held nothing against her mother she only wished she could of been there more for her and the squirt. She'd treat the subject of her mother like a Pinkie party, go in expecting one of the best nights of your life and prepare for the worst migraine the next day. Scootaloo grinned widely at the confident tone her sister held as her hand loosened on her shoulder, whatever it was most not have been important as her suspicions originally led her to believe. "We can walk now Rainbow." Her skateboard clacked against the ground as she waved at the drivers staring diligently at the red light all of them probably trying to beat the afternoon traffic as the foot steps of her sisters shoes followed. The rest of the trip was full of jokes and fond memories of mom teaching them what loyalty was and how they should never betray someone's trust. The conversations turned towards what they thought she'd look like once she entered their life once again both had come to an agreement that the hopefully former wonderbolt pilot would have a new tattoo to show them or something just as amazing as the wonderbolt logo above her mothers right breast. The conversation ended as both stared on at Carousel Boutique the only place in ponyville where you could find high-end fashion that was making waves in Canterlot. She could smell the prench perfume spring forth toward them as Scootaloo pulled the door open, lilac breached her nostrils as she attempted to move through the wafting smell as the two walked through the shop, customers staring at the two a few giving them the cold glares as Rainbow pushed her sister farther into the shop. Pearl Alayna-Bijou* stood behind the counter smiling warmly at the both of them, her light blue eyes gazed at them warmly while her silk white hands brushed a loose strand of indigo hair from her eyes. Rainbow gazed at Pearl a bit longer the light rose-colored dress practically wrapped around the forty-two years olds body as her hand motioned upwards giving the teenager all the info she needed. "Come on, I'm sure Sweetie Belle is upstairs." Her eyes glared back at the few patrons as the quietly went upstairs, She had a few things she wanted to say to every patron in the store as they snorted as they passed each one by. The first step seemed the easiest as they continued up to the second floor countless drawings and pictures littered the walls as they finally arrived at the door. "Knock, Knock, Knock" "Who is it?" Scootaloo frowned as an effiminite voice answered their knocking the two glanced at each other both saddened that he was the one to answer their knocking. A pale caucasian opened the door, cornflower blue eyes settled on the two as he welcomed them into their home. Magnum Alayna-Bijou was a forty-seven year old man who was the father of her best-friend, his mouth in a gentle grin as the chocolate-brown mustache seemed mis-placed knowing hsi gentle demeanor, the man's hair a chocolate hair as they walked past them. His shirt littered with colorful flowers as his white pants seemed unstained and out of place with the rest of his ensemble, but who was Scootaloo to judge they were one of the richest families by ponyville standards. "I take it you are here for the sleepover right Scootaloo?" "Of course mister Almayan-bijoo, I've been thinking about it since the last one." Scootaloo smiled at the adult, she couldn't help but grin at her sister messing with the poor guy, his face one of a scowl as Scootaloo quietly walked past him. "I'm sorry mister Magnum, you should know by now Scootaloo knows your last name." A small smile adorned his lips as his head motioned towards the farthest room down the hall its door closed. Rarity emblazoned on the white door, a single nail jetted out of the door empty and serving no purpose at the moment, the faint meowing of an all too familiar white persian cat strutting about the door. "When did it happen?" Her eyes looked towards the door the nail its true purpose was to show who ever held her heart at that moment, last thing she remembered it was some two-bit neanderthal now that it was empty only furthered. "About three days ago Rainbow, can you say something to her, I know you aren't the best of friends with her but it would mean the world to me if you talked to her for just a few minutes." Rainbow didn't bother looking at Rarity's father her shoulder brushing against his, with each foot step she made another wave of dread washed over her. Rainbow paused at the door her knuckles tapped lightly against the door. "Rarity its me Rainbow, I want to see if everything is alright." Her foot slowly tapped against the wooden floor, her eyes stare at Magnum motioning her to go on in. "I'm coming in." She slowly opened the door, a blur of pink passed by her head as she walked inside. "Your lucky that didn't hit me." Her eyes turned Rarity, her flustered friend seemed alright other than the running eye liner and mascara. Her silky white body seemed to be paler when compared to the light ash-grey shirt clinging to her petite form. Those azure eyes puffed up, as her indigo hair with a shade of mulberry seemed proper as ever with the curls placed in it. "Go away, Dash your presence is not needed or wanted." Her silk white hand reached for another brush only to narrowly miss being smacked across the head by a shoe. "You dare throw something at me you intolerable brute, get out and never dare set another step in he.." The dull sting of Rainbow's right shoe slamming into her shoulder as the rainbow haired teenager walked towards her. "Now tell me what's wrong, or then next thing I'm throwing is you into something green?" Rainbow watched arrogantly as the spoiled princess glared at her. "People are worried about you Rarity, so walk your ass down into Carousel Boutique do some primpy stuff because whoever you were dating was probably some horse's ass." Her eyes searched for a clock she didn't know how much time had passed since she left the house, but Dash was certain the longer she took the less time she would have to spend with her mom. "It was horrible that griffonian exchange student that graduated last year, tried to cop a feel demanding I show him the goods. Gladly that dull Ace's self defense classes paid off, men these days are just eughhhh." Her nose turned upwards at the sheer thought of herself being performing such a vulgar act with such a deviant. "Rarity, you should know by now the guy you are looking for that Prince Blueblood of Ponyville is never going to appear, not unless a miracel happens around here. How about you go lower your standards a little, or wait until college, I'm sure you'll meet somebody there." Her eyes honed in on the golden clock hanging on the wall, it was 2:39 already it would probably take another good twenty minutes before she'd arrive at the bus stop if she left now. "Rarity, I'd love to finish this conversation, but my mom's coming back so I need to go over by the bus stop right away." Dash's head dodged the first shoe thrown her way as it bounced off the wall, the second was easily caught with her left hand. "Thanks, I'll be going now." She slipped the shoes back on readily to walk through the doors and head to the only bus stop in all of ponyville. "Wait let me go with you Dash, I want to see Miss Cloud again." Azure eyes watched as the athletic tomboy growled in frustration, an internal debate set in motion as she slipped out from the blanket. "Besides if she hasn't arrived already I'm sure you could use the company." "Fine but you have five minutes, no frue-fueing, no taking your time, I just want to see my mom do you under stand Rarity?" Magenta eyes hardened on the primidonna as walked towards a cabinet shooing her away. "And don't call me Dash only my mom can call me that." She huffed in annoyance, was it so hard to call her by her first name at least two people she knew did it. Author's Note Alayna-Bijou which is Rarity's whole family's las name is french for Beautiful jewel. Money TalksTrixie stared at her new neighbors, the one in orange looked like a vagrant with that skateboard in her hand gazing towards her way, the obvious older sister gazed her way as well. Trixie wondered what the ruffian's elder sister was thinking her train of thought more of the type of people she'd meet on a daily basis. "Trixie come in here, you should see what are home looks like on the inside." Her eyes broke off the duo as they headed where ever they were going, it was no concern of her as the silly notion of those two becoming apart of her life was a laughable thought. "Coming mom." Her feet slowly shuffled up the stairs as the thought of staying here in Ponyville seemed to become more revolting with each second that passed. Selene looked on at the one story house the walls laid bare of any paint, the flooring was nice cedar oak probably cut down from the everfree forest if the town kept that local business feeling. The kitchen was fixed with a brand new stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and the most important thing of all a new coffee maker. "Dad you are the best father anybody could ever hope to have." "Well I wouldn't say best, I mean Princess Celestia and Luna had to have a great father if those to get along so well." Phthalo blue eyes settled on his daughter before him, she didn't look surprised to see him and he was thankful for that as she enveloped him a hug. This is what he missed on all those countless expeditions the warmth of his family's love, she pushed back from his gentle hug as a frown adorned her face, he knew things were bad but perhaps it was worse than he imagined. "Where were you, Crescent and Trixie were highly upset with you missing their birthday party?" She watched as a perturbed look slowly formed on her father's face. The years or her mom's death hadn't been kind at all to her father as the color grey adorned his head, fond memories of a bright lime-green hair filled her mind and a more youthful look accompanied those phthalo blue eyes. The grey shirt held loosely off of his frame an exploration vest covering it as his body let out another held breath. The seventy-three year old looked the part, but he was as spry and cheerful as ever, confidence never waning even in the face of adversity. The lights of his eyes always brightened with the sheer mention of archaeology just like her son, by Luna those two were alike. "I'm sorry dear, but you know when the nomads of Saddle Arabia beckon, I must answer those calls." His eyes gazed towards the coffee pot wishing for it to be filled with caffeine goodness, but if he could make wishes come true he would have dispelled that blotch on his daughter's heart and filled it with some sod who would treat her and his grandchildren with the love they deserved. "I know dad, but at least say hi to both of them, you know the impact you had on their lives especially Crescent's." She watched his face soften at that little tidbit, if she knew of any weakness her father had it was that all Lulamoon's loved coffee and his love for his child and grandchildren. "I'll try to stay for a few more hours, if I stay for too long I'll be chastised by our fair princess and that's something I can't afford in my line of work." He didn't need to look at her to know that she was disheartened. "Selene, I love you and both Trixie and Crescent as much as the moon itself but you know I can't stop when Celestia asks so much of me." The words killed him, knowing that he couldn't give any real support to her without prying into her personal life, and she made it vehemently clear that what happened to her was her responsibility and nobodies else. "If it's any consolation, I made sure to get this out-of-the-way for when they become of age." His hands dug through his pockets as he brought out a crumpled envelope. "This is the title to the house, I'm sure you'll be needing this sometime in the near future everything has been legalized and documented it only awaits one of their signatures." Azure watched as his daughter's eyes watered trying to find the right words to come out as he slowly beat her to the punch. "All I ask for in return is a nice cup of coffee and a space on the couch for when I come to visit." His hands held the envelope outstretched wondering if she was ever going to take it, her hands slowly out-reaching towards his, their stupor broken by the tapping of shoes in the door way. "Hi grandpa, mom Crescent finally got bored and text me, he's about ten minutes away give or take traffic." Her phone flipped shut, placing it in her back pocket as her grandfather approached her. She glanced at her mother briefly passing her as the sound of rushed footsteps and the jangle of car keys were the only thing that sounded through the quiet house. "It's been eighteen months and six days since I've seen your face and all I get is a Hi, I don't know whether to be hurt or shocked at how unsurprised you are." His arms wrapped around Trixie enveloping her in a hug, his granddaughter returning the small gesture as her delicate arms wrapped around him tightly. "A little tight or are you just happy to see me?" "Of course I'm glad to see you its been forever Grandpa." Her violet eyes shining at thought of regaling her grandfather with some of her tales in high-school, and the prospect of him helping convince mom to get her a car. "So how did you figure out that I was here, your mother didn't." He felt her pull away as she idly pulled out her phone, tapping on the screen as she looked up at him. "Your comparing mom to me in observation, I don't know if I should feel insulted now." Trixie's eyed the new coffee maker a guilty pleasure of hers as the thought of that thick bitter taste nipping at her senses jostling her awake, yeah coffee sounded mighty good now. "So then tell me Trixie, how did you know I was here?" "That was easy part, the movers gave it away. If they were going inside the house that meant someone with a key was there, and we didn't have a key to my knowledge so it narrowed it down to you grandpa." Her tone was a tad smug as her elder resigned to the simple answer. "Grandpa can I ask you something?" Azure blinked at his granddaughters tone it was much lower then usual perhaps she was having issues with finding a partner for other activities he dreaded any conversation that involved her talking about getting someone to stay in her life in the relationship sense. "I'm sure your going to ask anyway, but go ahead Trixie." He resigned to his fate, perhaps it wouldn't be as bad as he thought and she'd only talk about her interests in men and women for a brief time. "I mentioned it to mom, but I was wondering what you felt about me owning a car." Trixie didn't notice the exhale of her grandfather's breath as she looked at him, hopefully her mother didn't press the issue on him while they were enjoying their chat. "Grandpa can you help me, mom said if we can get some more cash we'd be able to make payments on another car, and if we did that then I could finally be more responsible, Canterlot University is only a year away and I'm going to have to become accustomed to driving if I'm going to get anything done." She watched him look at her in confusion as the thought of Canterlot seemed as a genuine surprise to him. "Weren't you going to college with your brother?" "I was, but I got a letter during the later half of junior year, it was from Canterlot University they have a new field that I'm interested in." "Oh and what that might be dear?" Azure watched as his granddaughter's eyes twinkle with his sudden inquiry. "An Astronomy course, I hear they have Princess Luna is teaching the course herself." The sparkle was there evident in her eyes as her tone raised a tad higher, it was heart-warming to see his granddaughter so resolved, it wouldn't be long before he'd leave but he'd enjoy the time until then. "I see then we might have to talk to your mother when she gets back, Canterlot after all is a very big place and I know for a fact that you'll need some method transportation." Barely contained excitement was apparent on his granddaughters face as this moment was all he needed to know everything would work out for his family.
Riding to PonyvilleScarlet’s eyes stared out the bus’s window, counting the number of telephone poles that passed by, anything to keep his mind from lingering thoughts of his old home. Next turnTrixie sighed as she looked into the mirror, her cornflower blue hair covered her grayish-violet eyes only traces of boredom could only be found in them.
