//-------------------------------------------------------// A Bridge To A New World -by Kenyis- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Reforming a Nightmare //-------------------------------------------------------// Reforming a Nightmare As I awoke I could tell I wasn't on Earth, I heard animals off in the distance and opened my eyes to find myself in the middle of a forest in the middle of the night. 'Now that step one is taken care, time for step two finding out where we are. Let's see if the stars can help me find where to go.' As I looked up my jaw dropped, in the moon was "The Mare in the Moon" I was in Equestria! I fell and kept looking at the moon in disbelief but then shot up from where I was sitting down. "If I'm in Equestria than that means I can meet Luna when she's reformed! But the question right now is when is the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration?" As I looked back up at the night sky and searched for a bit I found the North star, at least I know which way is which now then I suppose I'm in the Everfree so time to get up higher and find a way to get out of here. I climbed the highest tree closest to me and got to the top with ease, climbing stuff since I was little always paid off. "So by the looks of it Ponyville is in the West right now so lets just hope I can get there in one piece." I jumped out of the tree half way and landed while barely making a sound, and ran west. About two hours later I found a road, I was sidetracked by a pony shaped skeleton wearing a cloak I helped myself with the cloak and it somehow managed to fit and go down to my knees. 'Now then time to make a quick trip into town. Let's just hope I don't cause a stampede since the ponies appear to be frightened easily.' I continued down the pathway and stopping just short of Ponyville, I rushed over behind the nearest house and began sneaking my way around. The Town appeared to be mostly empty besides a couple of ponies walking around. 'Now then time to gather some info' I silently said to myself. I was hanging out in the alleyway when a stallion passed by. "Excuse me sir, can I ask you something?" The stallion jumped when I spoke clearly not expecting a voice. He turned his head and noticed me a little since I was hiding behind a trash can. "Why... um of course young stallion what is it?" I thought through it a bit, I would seem a bit suspicious if I asked the date so I asked him why the town was so empty since it doesn't seem so late. "Pinkie Pie is throwing one of her parties for somepony who arrived in town earlier today. Why are you new here stranger?" I answered with a yes and took off, 'so today is the 1,000th summer sun celebration, perfect I got to act fast. Now then step three find the library if it's one pony that won't run off at the sight of me it's probably Twilight.' Once again I traveled in the shadows and heard the noise of a party. After about five minutes of locating the source I saw the library, so I dashed off behind it and started to climb once again. It was a difficult because of the lack of branches but thankfully there were a few holes I could use to climb and reached the top floor window. "Everypony in this town is crazy!" The sudden voice made me jump and nearly fell before I grabbed on to one of the holes, so Twilight is right there and Spike should be talking to her now but I felt as if something was missing. As I turned my head once again my jaw dropped, the stars were aiding Nightmare Moon in her escape. 'No more time to fool around time to get serous!' As I knocked on the window I heard the sound of hooves beating against the floor and then suddenly Twilight opened the window with her magic and looked around and saw me hanging by the left side. The hood of my cloak kept my face a most of my body covered as I did a "hushing" movement. Somehow she understood and asked why I was there, I told her everything would be explained inside so she picked me up with her magic and put me inside while shutting the door. 'Step four not to change anything future related' "All right who are you, and what were you doing outside the window?" Let the interrogation begin, I had her sit down and put down my hood. "The name is Micah, and I'm here because Nightmare Moon is going to return. So we have to stop her!" Twilight had the look of determination and satisfactory on her face. "Finally it seems somepony understands that she's going to return but how are we going to stop her without The Elements of Harmony?" Right as she finished there was a knock on the door and Spike came in telling Twilight it was time to watch the sun rise. Twilight turned her head and had a look of confusion as to why I wasn't there. Right as Spike knocked I dove to a hiding place and thankfully a book shelf was wide enough for me to hide behind and not be seen when you first enter the room. I saw Twilight's look of confusion and nodded to her to go on, she seemed to understand what I was planning so as Spike and Twilight left I climbed out the window and began to follow the group of ponies heading to Town Hall. 'Here we go, I'm about to meet Nightmare Moon but not on good terms. Don't worry princess I will help free you from the nightmares as you have helped me' Twilight was looking around and I waved to her, she notice me and went back to walking knowing I was still there. As we reached Town Hall I slipped in through a window in the back of the room in the shadows and hide behind a pillar. I could see Twilight near the edge so I pulled out a coin from my wallet and slide it so the coin was just tap her. She jumped and looked over to my direction and saw me and silently made her way over. "I see you made it in okay but now what?" Just as I was about the speak the sound of horns overtook the room and then Mayor Mare began talking. 'Better speak fast it's almost time.' "Meet me back at the Library then there will be more time." Twilight was about to say something when Mayor Mare did the introduction for Princess Celestia and no luck she wasn't there. Then a laughed filled the room and their she was Nightmare Moon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nzHx0k3GrQ). Twilight let out a gasp as I jumped out the window and began dashing for the library. About half an hour later Twilight and the rest of The Mane 6 burst in the library where I placed Twilight's book out on the table. "Hello Micah, are you here?" 'Well, here we go.' Out of the back of the room I stepped out from the shadows with the hood of my head. Everyone but Twilight jumped back when they saw me but Twilight calmed them down. "There's no time to worry about me right now, I will explain everything about myself after Nightmare Moon is taken care of." Everyone but Twilight still seemed a bit hesitant around me, so we planned and took off into the Everfree. Everything was going as it was in the show but then something side tracked me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something small move all I caught of it was that it was pony with a magnifying glass as a cutie mark, I put it off as nothing at the time I would have to come back later and investigate. We made finally made it to The Castle of the Sisters and found the Elements. I told Twilight I would go ahead and investigate while she works with the elements. I made it to the thrown room but not one minute later there was a flash of blue and Twilight and Nightmare Moon showed up. "Micah help don't let her get the elements!" I closed my eyes and slowly began walking toward Nightmare Moon. "Oh what is this, a strange creature dares approach me. My you foolish being do you have a death wish? Because we can surely grant it." "Princess, I know you don't want to do that you're not a Nightmare just corrupted but you have a chance of redemption. You we're corrupted by Envy because you didn't receive praise from the other ponies like your sister did. Now then let us help yo--- gaaaah." As I was sent across the other side of the room and started rolling I thankfully didn't hit the wall to hard and as I opened my eye there was a furious Nightmare Moon. "YOU THINK WE WILL BE LECTURED BY A. UNKOWN CREATURE? WE WILL NOT STAND HERE AND LISTEN TO SOMETHING THAT HAS NO IDEA WHAT WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH!" In that moment Nightmare Moon smashed the Elements as I looked back at Twilight with a shocked look on her face. Then when it everything seemed lost Rarity, AppleJack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie all came in and got next to Twilight. 'There we are the moment for them to shine' Twilight began speaking about the new Element bearers as I got up but then all of a sudden a glow appeared around me but one that shown of both Light and Darkness. As The Mane 6 used the Elements I clenched up my right hand that was in the Light glow and shot a beam in the element blast causing it to glow even brighter. After the huge flash that overtook everything Luna was laying right in the middle of the armor of Nightmare Moon. Celestia then appeared and they had a touching  moment. 'Well at least we have the true ruler of the night back.' Celestia then went over to Twilight to talk but I wasn't expecting Luna to come over to me as my thoughts were interrupted by the tug of my cloak. "Um we wanted to apologize for our actions and blasting you with our magic. We weren't ourself so we had no control over our actions. We ask for thy forgiveness?" As I knelt down I picked up her hoof and planted a kiss on it what a gentleman would do. "You do not have to ask for forgiveness Princess. If you need anything just contact me." Luna then left with a nod and a huge before returning to Celestia who then proceeded to trot over to me. As I bowed she asked if we could outside and so we left the room. "I watched you try and talk to my sister even as she was still Nightmare Moon. I must say you are a brave one and also kind, you seem willing to be able to help my sister. So I must ask why do you want to help her?" As I stood up from where I was sitting down I pointed to the moon and the stars. "Because ever single night since I can remember I have always loved the night. When I was having a rough time all I had to do was look up and the stars and the moon would be there to put a smile on my face. Princess Luna has had it rough and I wish to help her because that's what I want to do. I want to help others so they don't have to suffer any longer. Those are my reasons Princess Celestia."  Celestia nodded and gave me this pendant of a star and told me it's a way to communicate with Luna that she would get something like that soon and walked off. The next day was spent answering Twilight's questions about me. I told her where I'm from, what I am, I scared her a little by telling her I'm an omnivore when she saw my teeth, I told her about humans and told her we knew about the stories from there world as myths. Rainbow Dash seemed really interested in competing against me sometime, Fluttershy took some interest in me since I was a new species in there world, Rarity really wanted to try making some human clothes, Pinkie said that she would have to throw me a party, and AppleJack said if I need a job I could help out at their farm. "I think I'm going to enjoy it here." Before I fell asleep under a tree in the park for a quick nap I thought about my friends and family back on Earth. I will try to find some way to communicate with them but right now I feel like I'm needed here. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Ticket To End the World //-------------------------------------------------------// A Ticket To End the World I've gotten a little used to my new life in Equestria, so far the only real challenge is giving up meat. It's been about maybe three weeks since Luna returned to Equestria, so Celestia and I have been trying to get her back up to date with how the world is now. I found out Luna had become younger due to the elements and due to date her mental age was about fourteen. Twilight Spike, and I decided to go help AJ out in the farm since I've been working for them after the first couple of days of my arrival. The townspeople of Ponyville were a bit hesitant around me like I thought but they been getting used to me, besides the occasional glances I get. AJ and Big Mac made a bet saying that if AJ got some apples to the barn before lunch time he would have to walk through town in one of Granny Smith's girdles. "Nope, nope, nope, not that one." Spike's just throwing apples out of the basket just so he can find the perfect one and I just been catching them so they don't go to waste the apples here are just the best. Spike just found this perfect apple and ate it whole, just some people can't enjoy food. Suddenly Spike let out a belch and a scroll appeared, while the pendant around my neck glowed and shot out a black flame and turned into a scroll. Spike was reading his letter aloud while I read my silently to myself. Just as I was halfway through AJ and Twilight gasp and said together "The Grand Galloping Gala!" 'Oh boy here we go let the chaos commence' At the bottom of my letter there was a golden ticket with Luna's cutie mark on it with the note saying it's a ticket to the Triple G. Spike had the look of annoyance on his face as one again he let out a belch and the two tickets floated into his hands. AJ had the look of excitement on her face. 'Poor poor Twilight a rough day is ahead of you. I would just tell you that you can send a letter asking for more tickets but then that would be one friendship report down the drain and a bit of the future screwed up.' Just as soon when AJ finished her little speech as to why she wanted to go Dash landed directly on AJ and Twi while I tried my best to catch their baskets. No sense of working if the apples are going to go to waste. I told Spike I was going to drop the apples back off at the farm while they deal with the tickets. When I set the baskets down I pulled out a small black journal I kept with me. I figured if I'm going to be here might as well write down my adventures and experiences here. Half way through writing a tug on my leg snapped me back into reality. It was none other than Apple Bloom, I told her a few of my own small adventures back on Earth and she was interested in them. "Um Micah, I was wonderin if you could tell me another one of your stories?" I put the tab on my journal and closed it as I was about to begin my story "All right Apple Bloom I'm going to tell you the one time my friend and I had to run from a train." Apple Bloom let out a gasp and snapped to attention as I began my story "So one day my friend Graham and I were out in the woods behind his house, we had a habit of smashing stuff in there since thats where everyone threw trash there so why not destroy it. So Graham wanted to try something new where we would cross a bridge and drop something off it and smash the object. So after we waited for the first train to pass I got down to the bottom and he was about to drop it when he did. We stayed down under the bridge until the next train passed and left. So as we crossed the bridge Graham turned around and he saw a train!" "So we busted out into full sprint and tried to get to the other side of the bridge. Right as I made it to the other side I jumped and slide down the rocks and dashed up hill into the tree's ignoring every branch, twig, and without care slipping on the mud and dirt. My friend made it across a few seconds after me and did the same thing, so as we waited for the train to pass we made it back to his house and took a break for awhile." I finished off my story as Apple Bloom went out to go play with Twist, so I got back to writing in my journal. After I finished there was a loud bang of the farm doors closing. I slide my journal back into my pocket and saw Twilight panting while leaning against the barn door. So I got an apple from the basket and tried to give it to her before she turned it down with a annoyed look. "I know what your plan is. Feed me even when I haven't eating all day and try to get tickets to the Gala well to bad you're going to have to wait like everypony else." After explaining to her that I had no need to try and get a ticket since I had a ticket of my own. I showed her my ticket to prove that I was trying to get her extra ticket and she accepted the apple. "Thanks Micah I've been starving all day and haven't gotten a chance to eat because of these tickets." 'Well then let's see all we have to do it make it to the library where I'm sure the rest of the girls are and then it's time for a letter to Celestia. "Here Twilight lets try and go to the library where you can rest." Twilight seemed a bit hesitant about the plan but she knew I wouldn't plan anything against her. So as we traveled through town Pinkie tried to get the ticket and then the whole town knew about the ticket. "Uh Twilight I think we should run." I said as the crowd of ponies grew, so Twilight, Spike, and I busted out into full sprint trying whatever we can to out run the ponies. We we're caught in a dead end where Twilight used her magic to teleport us. It wasn't very fun to be split by split and reformed because now the edges of my hair is a bit burn along with a few parts of my clothes. Right as we turned off all the lights and locked everything the lights came back on the the girls we're all there. Twilight let out a annoyed yell and began talking about how she couldn't take it anymore. One by one the girls began saying it doesn't matter anymore because they saw the effect they had it was causing Twilight. Well besides Rainbow who all got a annoyed look from all of us. Twilight sent her Friendship Report and the the tickets to Celestia and got the response back with seven tickets. They all looked confused as to why I didn't get one and showed them my ticket which Luna gave me. Rainbow was the first to speak "So wait it doesn't matter that Twilight had an extra ticket to you, because you already got a ticket from Princess Luna!" I gave a nod and the looked pretty annoyed at me till I told them I was a busy all day and I knew things would work out in the end. So as the rest of the girls went home, Twilight, Spike, and I all went to bed. Twilight was kind enough for me to use her extra guest bed which was a bit small but it would do. But before I went to sleep I stared out at the night sky as tradition to me and smiled. "May you have a wonderful night Princess." Ben Nickerson: That topic needs slightly less abuse, Quick Angelleah Hudson: I got nothing…. It had been a week since my disappearance, and my Skype group had been coming up with theories of my disappearance. Angelleah (or "Angel" for short) was a bit bored with coming up with theories so she decided to go out to her dad's garden and enjoy some raspberries. As she walked out she noticed something different; there was a pathway leading into the forest that was behind her house. As Angel looked back she saw through the window her dad was on the computer. Surely he wouldn't mind if she went out for a bit and explored this new territory that lurked behind the garden yonder… "Now then let's see where this leads to”, Angel said with a giggle, and took off on that path with a jogging start. As she walked through the forest, there was a sudden flash of light. Not expecting a small drop she fell and landed on her back; letting out a disgruntled groan of pain as she did. Whilst she wonders down the bridge, she waves her fist at an unseen entity and proclaiming it, “those god damn fairies…." She tried to go home, as she wanted to(truthfully trying. The darkness wasn't the most tempting place to be, and the prospect of frightening her father made her angry with herself), but the universe didn’t like that idea; she began going backwards toward the other end of the bridge, and soon crossed over to whatever lay on the other side. F i v e  h o u r s  p a s s e d As Angel woke up she found herself in strange forest. Not the same small glade as she had walked into on Earth, as the trees themselves where of a different species. As she got up, she heard a low growling and a flash of worry went across her face. Out of the bushes came several wolves, wolves of wood. They began to encircle her, sizing up their chosen prey, debating what species their larger than normal prey was(and if they could eat it). Angel wasn't going to just stand there, gaping like a fool, not retaliating. But fighting them regularly would do me no good anyway, she reminds herself, remembering they are not made of flesh. Out of nowhere, a cloaked figure came out of the same bushes and kicked one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Cx4v3SGlw) of the timber wolves so hard it was flung to a tree far on the right. When the cloaked figured kicked, his hood that covered his head and face came off, revealing brown hair. On turning, Angel gained full view of his light blue eyes. "Micah, is that you?” a voice asks, suddenly. I jumped up when I realized who I had just saved. "Angel! What the hell are you doing here?” I yelled at Angel. But suddenly, the deep bellow of a wolf’s growl snapped us back to reality and the timber wolf I had kicked was out for the count; the force of being kicked into the side of the tree had exploded the wolf into branches. We were still out numbered, but we didn't plan to go down without a fight. However, Angel gave me an annoyed look. "You have to take care of this, unless you have a flamethrower on you", She warned. Well shit looks like I got to do this on my own. As one of the timber wolves pounced we ducked, and it hit the tree. It was still active, so it began getting up, so I grabbed its head and smashed it back into that tree. Two more timber wolves attempted to pounce me, so I performed a front kick; then intercepted the second with a side kick. Both attacks caused the timber wolves to explode on contact with the ground. But my victory was cut short as I felt a huge pain in my shoulder. One of the timber wolves had bitten me, it’s wooden teeth had torn into my shoulder, as though my shoulder was nothing but butter. Angel realized she could help, and placed her fingers between the notches of his mouth, preventing him from both moving his jaw, and biting down harder. Using this tactic, she removed his mouth from my shoulder. Unable to bite, he whined softly. She quickly wrestled him to the ground, using her arm around his neck, in time for me to be ready, and crush in the wolf’s wooden skull with a single foot. (stop the music at red) "Micah! Your shoulder!” she shouted, worried.  As I knelt down, cringing because of the pain, Angel took off her hoodie and began wrapping it around my shoulder to stop the bleeding a bit. "Micah…. care to explain to me WHAT IS GOING ON!" I told her we were actually in Equestria, but about a couple weeks after the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration. All Angel could do was let out a small "oh my" as we went through town to the hospital. "Doctors, where are you? This patient needs immediate medical attention!" As the doctors lead me to the emergency room, Angel began to think. I can’t believe it, we really are in Equestria! Micah told me to keep quiet about anything of the future, so we don't screw up anything, but even then; that isn’t going to help. Just then, a sudden influx of people came from the hospital doors, and who was it but the Mane Six whom bust in. But then, they noticed Angel. Primarily, Pinkie noticed Angel. "OHOHOHANOTHERHUMAN!WHAT'SYOURNAMEIMPINKIEPIE!WHATSYOURFAVORITETHINGTODO?WHYAREYOUINTHEHOSPITAL?" Pinkie was interrupted by Applejack’s hoof. "Sorry bout’ that but she tends to get a bit excited." Twilight and Fluttershy approached, and asked if what they heard was true about Micah. After Angel finished telling them everything, I had walked out into the lobby, catching a glimpse of them all together. Twilight and Fluttershy rushed over to check on me, to see if I was all right, but I assured them it was nothing serious. Pinkie, to no one’s surprise, got the idea to throw Angel a welcoming party and took off. But within a an hour and half, Angel received an invitation to go to the Apple Family's barn. But as soon as we entered, a sudden chorus of “surprise” filled the room, revealing it to be the party Pinkie had planned. Rather than asking questions, we just joined the party. “This isn’t a game of twenty questions, you know… I don’t feel like answering anymore!  Talk about it after I get some sleep, because this entire thing is a headache in itself.” Angel stated, in an annoyed state. She saw Pinkie eat a cupcake, and remembered how Pinkie ate her cupcakes. Feeling brave, she decided to give it a try. Angel wondered over to the snack bar, got a cupcake, and covered it in a bit of hot sauce. When Angel tried it, it wasn't good at the least, and the spice she believed to get dulled by the frosting actually became more violent a flame.  Angel began trying to spit it out; when that failed, she searched for a way to cool her mouth off. I was a bit busy laughing because of this, which only rewarded me a glare. Not a glare from Angel, but from Twilight. After explaining to Twilight a bit about how friendships work back on Earth, I went out and got Angel a glass of milk, and she chugged it down eagerly. Though, as she was drinking, Pinkie was being silly(in the most unintentional suggesting way) in the background which earned  Angel a snorted laugh, causing her to snort milk out; Which got me laughing again, rolling on the floor. After about another hour of partying, there was a sudden knock on the doors, and Luna strode in. Everyone bowed including Angel and me. "We came to see the new visitor of our land. Plus, we also wanted to see our friend Micah again." As Luna approached Angel, Angel latched herself onto Luna in an accomplished hug (who whispered afterword to me that this was better than buying a Wooona custom doll) Luna was confused at first, but I told her that she was a friend of mine, and said to go on. After that the party, I went outside, to talk with Luna. "So we heard about what happened.  Are your injuries well healed? “I told her my shoulder was all right, but I changed the subject quickly; I had to ask something. "Luna, when we were fighting Nightmare Moon… when the elements activated, they did something to me." I began focusing, and the glow of Light and Darkness appeared. "My we see that thou also has magic, but we wonder why thou has both Light and Dark magic." I began telling her it probably represents the light and dark side of humanity.As we talked Angel walked out, but was as she appeared to also be glowing.  After a bit of talking, we reached the conclusion that in a week, Angel and I would come to Canterlot to learn about, and how to control our newfound magic. At the same time, Angel’s welcoming party finally ended, and Fluttershy said she had an extra guest room Angel could use. Thankfully, now we didn't have to worry about that. When I was lying down, back on my bed at Twilight's house, I began writing in my journal and finished my latest entry; before I headed off into a blissful sleep. But I knew things would only change now that Angel and I we’re here. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue 'Well, I got nothing better to do might as well go for a walk through town' It was the first summer at my dads new apartment after my parents divorce, I've been downtown plenty before but never really walked around plus on the note I felt like stopping by the square fountain that was near by. As I walked I passed by the movie theater that my friend Shawn and I went to a lot, I need to call him and see if we can hang out soon, not going to be spending my summer without my friends I haven't seen in months. I made it to the fountain and there was barely a soul in sight besides the cars passing by. 'Oh well at least I can enjoy a nice relaxing time near the fountain without all the noise.' As I pulled out my wallet from the depths of my pocket I pulled out a coin that had a little bit of a gold look on it, pretty sure the thing was worthless so why not make a wish. Sure it might be pointless buy hey a guy can dream. As I walked to the fountain and flicked the coin I shut my eyes and made the wish 'I wish something abnormal will happen.' As I heard the familiar "splash" the coin made as it landed in the water I opened my eyes to a blinding flash of light. "What the hell?" That was all I could manage to say before falling and catching myself from falling on my back, 'Hah years of climbing and jumping off things always pay off.' After finally paying attention to where I was, there was nothing but a white bridge and darkness everywhere. I turned around and saw Earth. "Just what is going on? Why can I see earth when I look back but can't see anything when I look forward?" It suddenly appeared in my head that this could be a possibility to go to a new world. 'Screw Earth for now not when there's a chance to visit another world or universe.' As I ran into the darkness only one thought was in my head. "New world here I come!"
