Little Holiday Poems

In the middle of the night, with everypony in bed

In the middle of the street rainbow dash was scracthing her head

Curiously dress with antlers and a red nose

What was pinkie pie planning? Nopony knows

Twilight was there

A green elf  hat covering her hair

Pinkie arrived in a suit of red

A pillow stuffed inside to make her seem well fed

“whats this about?” dash exclaimed

“you'll see very soon” she explained

Carrying bag filled with treats

Pinkie threw them onto a seat

Inside a red sliegh behind rainbow dash

That pinkie tied to her in a flash

“now we're ready to spread holiday cheer!

As we need to do every year!”

Pinkie said as she excitedly bounced

“what do you mean?” twilight announced

“we'll travel equestria corner to corner

no filly or foal would be a mourner

as we give out treats for hearth warming day”

Pinkie would smile as these words she'd say

“i gotta fly far and wide?!”

Rainbow dashes displeasure would not hide

“all for kids in the snow and cold?”

twilight would but in quite bold

“but think of the smiles

All for the price of just a few miles”

Pinkies pie pleaded

And quickly the two knew what was needed

With a nod and a sigh they agreed

Pinkie smiled and jumped and happily bleated

into the sleigh she hopped up in

Twilight followed her lips forming an excited grin

“on rainbow dash away!”

And with that she began pulling the sleigh

Quickly she bound up into the air

they all felt the wind blowing through their hair

All over equestria they did travel

Pinkie pies plan did not unravel

Dropping down candies

Trying not to eat the little dandies

Tasty sweets all for the fillies

And the foals no matter how sillies

They worked all night

Rainbow dash flying with all her might

And just as the sun would peak

Twilight began to speak

“I Think tonight we learned a lesson”

That would beg another letter to Celestia session”

And with that she pulled out a letter

and began writing to her better

“dear princess Celestia I have learned much

From my friends the happy bunch

But tonight I learned another detail

That spreading cheer is a wonderful trail

Even though you may not know them

Making a stranger smile makes me joyful to the brim

to spread holiday cheer

Making others smile ear to ear

there is nothing better

except maybe not rhyming in a letter!
