Chapter 1: One of those mornings...

Mario snored as he continued his sleep into a new morning. Luigi, as always, was way up before him and already making Mario and him some mushroom surprise pancakes and defireflower coffee to help get their morning going. Luigi continued to whistle, before hearing the familiar flapping of the mail carrier nearby. He only heard the mailbox open, then close.

Luigi rasied an eyebrow, not hearing the mailkoopa yell out the normal 'Letter for Mario' speech it says whenever he arrives. Luigi turned the heater to the frying pan off and went to investigate, seeing a strange gray thing flying off in the distance. Luigi scratched his head. Must be a new mailkoopa of some sort...

Luigi shrugged as he walked over to the mailbox and looked inside to see what mail had just been delivered. he took it out, surprised to only find one letter in there, addressed plainly as 'From the Princess'. Luigi blinked before turning back.

"MARIO!" He called out to his brother. No response, Luigi sighed. Of course he wasn't going to be up for awhile, that new fire flower clock of theirs was needing some repairs ever since Mario needed to get his sleep. The thing wouldn't shut up and it got on Luigi's nerves as well. Luigi walked inside, placed the letter on the table, and turned the heater back on to continue making those delicious mushroom pancakes for him and his brother.

Mario woke up slowly to the continuous metallic clink of the broken and duct taped clock. Mario tapped it back into snooze mode, the neck of the fire flower clock snapping in half. Mario sighed as he got out of bed and rubbed out his eyes and looked out the window. The beautiful sun shining down on him gently through the curtains. He opened them up and sighed as he got rid of his night hat and put began putting on his clothes. He walked out to his brother Luigi, who was setting up the plates with the delicious smell of break feast looming over and tickling Mario's mustache gently as he sniffed up the smell.

Mario sat down, taking a knife and fork from the table and digging into his food straight away. Luigi gave himself a proud smile as he finished mixing the coffee with the water and placing it next to Mario's plate. He began to serve himself when Mario suddenly dropped his fork and knife on the plate. Luigi looked back to Mario, who was reading the letter in the most confused face he could manage to muster. Luigi walked over and leaned over his brother's shoulder to read the letter himself, and he couldn't help but giggle along with his brother.

"Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I am glad you had made it back safely from your adventure! I am sorry this letter had to be sent through mare mail, but something had interfered with our magic, not letting us to send it any other way. On the other hoof, we have had a lot of strange occurrences around here, who knows what may pop up next? Anyway, me and Luna are still glad that you had made it back alive, and managed to fix Rainbow Dash at the same time. Now Twilight, I know this may be odd for you take in, but I must request you stop sending letters through spike, as the letter will only just burn up into nothing and will never be sent.

From yours truly, Princess Celestia..."

Mario and Luigi began to laugh their mustaches off at that last name. Luigi began taking the letter and placing it elsewhere, then he began pretending he was writing the letter himself, trying to put on the funniest face possible as he danced around, writing on the letter, then he placed it on Derpy's head and walked back into his seat, his brother and him still laughing at their horrible reenactment of writing the letter.

Then they stopped and looked at the gray, smiling pegasus in the room.

"Hi Pinkie, Hi Twilight!" She said happily, her eyes crossing, but managing to look at Mario and Luigi at the same time.

Mario and Luigi looked at each other, then back to Derpy again.

"Hey, did you two go through a bad spell or something? You look different..." She said, concerned for her semi-friends, even if they weren't them at all. Mario and Luigi blinked again, before they realized it, they were being dragged out of their own home. "Come on then! We gotta go and find a way to fix this! We'll bring you back to Rarity's and she could find you a spell or something!" She said. Mario and Luigi began struggling, but to no use, as they soon realized they were sky high in the air. The fearful brothers held onto each other as they looked down at the grown, afraid of falling to a painful death.

Mario was first to look at the area they were headed, and tugged on Luigi's overalls. Luigi looked back with him, and they both held onto their hats as they were headed straight for a strange portal of some sort. The swirling blue mass that seemed to suck them inside it. The brothers looked at each other and gulped, before shaking their hands in most possibly their final farewell, as they were guided inside the portal by their wall eyed pegasus associate.

Mario and Luigi closed their eyes, holding onto each other again in fear as they felt their bodies rearrange as they were pulled apart through the dimensional portal, and then reassembled on the other side. Mario and Luigi were still shaking as they waited for what was probably the inevitable, but it never came. Luigi was first to notice this as he opened his eyes and looked around. Luigi poked Mario, as he cracked open an eye and looked around. They were still in one piece, and were still in flight. They sighed as they no longer saw the portal in eyesight and looked down at the town below them. It wasn't normal toad's town anymore, but it was something completely different then what they expected.

The town below them was completely full of ponies. and not just ordinary ponies, but multicolored ponies! Some with wings, some with horns on their foreheads! But before Mario and Luigi could take a moment to process this, Derpy let out a gasp of fright as she dropped her two companions and flew away. Mario and Luigi screamed, holding onto their hats as they crashed into a nearby house. Their was a family of two eating dinner, a mare and a stallion. They stared at the mustached duo, before slowly backing away from the two. Mario and Luigi got their faces out of the hard wood floor and stared at the couple. Luigi jumped up, a sheepish grin on his face.

"Sorry..." He apologized. This caused the couple to raise a brow at them, before they all heard a loud bang from nearby. Mario quickly responded by doing the most sensible thing possible...

He jumped sky high in complete fright, sending his face through an unopen hole in the roof. Mario looked around to the source of the explosion, and saw a big...thing...

Mario wasn't sure what to call it, but one pony managed to help him to the answer.

"IT'S DISCORD! EVERYPONY RUN!" Screamed a mare in fright as she ran past the house. The couple from before were quick to act as they looked outside and saw the horrible figure before them, then began galloping out of their house, leaving a confused pair of brothers in the half demolished house. Mario got himself out of the roof and landed next to Luigi, before discussing on how to deal with this obvious evil doer.

Luigi was quick to reject, afraid of dying to whatever beast was out there, but Mario convinced him otherwise. They were heroes! They had to do it! Luigi knew this very well himself, and sighed. Duty calls, he guessed. The brothers in Green and Red ran out, holding onto their hats as they ran towards the carnage through the large mass of ponies. Some barely gave the brothers a glance, as they were too busy running for their lives. Mario and Luigi had finally ran out of pony crowd to run through and reached the battle that awaited them. There stood a large beast, which looked like it was made out of multiple other beasts. There were 6 ponies, knocked unconscious under him.

"Oh, I you really shouldn't have awakened me! Now that you're done with, I can finally fulfill my dream in life and take over Equestria!" He let out a menacing laugh, before being stomped in the head. He turned around, rubbing his throbbing head in pain as he looked at the two, before blinking in disbelief. This was definitely something new...

Mario and Luigi stood there proudly, and Luigi began cursing at the beast in full blown Italian. Discord only gave off a small laugh. "This is seriously the best Celestia can do after I had defeated the elements of harmony? A couple of monkeys wearing clothes can't beat me!" he said as he readied himself for battle. Mario and Luigi got ready for battle, as the two jumped at Discord in a combined effort of an attack.

Discord didn't expect them to be so quick. He couldn't use his magic in time, as he quickly lost focus, let it be a stomp from the brother in red or the brother in green. He began to quickly throw punches at the brothers, sending them back a few feet, but they got up instantly and jumped back at Discord, resuming their continuous onslaught of headache inducing jump attacks.

Discord began to back away from the duo in fear. He had no idea what to do. He couldn't use his magic, despite the short amount of time he needed to conduct it, and he couldn't throw a punch in at the two without them both getting up and brushing it off like it was nothing. Discord was breathing, but he didn't feel anything hitting him anymore. He looked around, were they gone? He looked behind him and saw the swirling green and red, firey mass that was combining in the two's hands. Discord gulped as it was sent flying at him. He smacked it back at the brothers, but they didn't let up. They both took out hammers from seemingly nowhere and used their combined strength to hit the fireball back.

Discord began to volley the ball of fire back and forth. If he stopped for even a second to conduct any type of spell he knew, it would only cause him to burn into a crisp! Every time he hit the ball back at his opponents, they managed to make the ball larger in size by combining more fire ball into the swirling green and red mass. Both of Discord's hands were burning up insanely as he smacked the ball back at the brothers. Their hammers had been able to keep them going, probably longer then Discord could have held out.

Discord couldn't take it anymore, the heat was REALLY building up on him! He couldn't go on any longer as his hand slowed down in a final attempt to knock the ball back, and he was met with agonizing pain as his hand suddenly began to start turning back into stone. Discord screamed as he tried to pull his arm from its anchored position in the air, the stone virus climbing up his arm and around his body. He gulped, defeated because he was just too slow. It was even more embarrassing to see his victors dance as they saw what they had done. Discord's head cemented as Mario and Luigi high fived.

Twilight was first to wake up and see the booty shaking brothers in red and green, and the final stone crystallization of Discord. Twilight blinked as she stared at the brothers. The brothers soon noticed Twilight and they stopped their dance right in the middle of it, before innocently whistling and going into a normal standing position and rocking their bodies back and forth, refusing to make eye contact with the pony.

Twilight blinked again, just making sure what was in front of her was the real thing.

And it definitely was....

Chapter 2: Bowser's Deception

Twilight stared at the odd, and heroic duo. This was definitely some new species! And apparently, there were two different variants! A red and green one! There was no book that could describe what these two otherworldly beings were, and that excited Twilight! Twilight wanted to ask questions, but she had no idea if they would understand her. Maybe it would be best to keep them held up for a short moment!

But, that wasn't going to be easy...seeing as they had run off without a trace...

Twilight began to search, only to find them inspecting a small, yellow box levitating without any pure explanation as to why in the air. There seemed to be a question mark running along the skin of the box.

Of course, the mario brothers knew what this was, so that must mean that they were still able to go home...

somehow...

They didn't fully think out the details on that, to be honest. But what they DID do was jump into the box, a green mushroom popping out of it. Luigi was quick to grab it, as always. It kinda became a theme with the mario bros. Luigi got the 1-ups and mario held onto the normal mushrooms. It happened to actually be an effective strategy! But no time for that though, they had a unicorn tugging eagerly on their pants.

"Come on! You should stay in the library and wait while I try and get Princess Celestia to take Discord back to the royal gardens!" Twilight said as she tried with all her might to pull these two into her library close by. Mario and Luigi wouldn't budge a single bit. They gave Twilight a look, then they looked to eachother and nodded as they started walking towards the library. Twilight blinked. Maybe they did speak equestrian...

=The city of Canterlot=

Everypony was enjoying their day. The beautiful sun that Celestia had given them was just gorgeous! Nothing could possibly go wrong! Right?

....Right?...Right!

Everypony began wandering around, doing their normal job, then they began to hear big, thunderous footsteps...

Maybe it was going to go wrong...

Ponies began to stop and investigate the sound themselves, and what they saw shocked them immensely. This wasn't your average everyday dragon walking into canterlot. No, this one had a menacing glare, a vicious looking spiked shell, and a furious look on his face, steam puffing out of his nostrils as he breathed.

Who was this evil looking figure? Why, it would be none other then King Bowser, King of the Koopas!

And his trusty son by his side, Bowser Jr. soon-to-be king of the koopas! Or at least, he hopes.

They walked in, looking in the eyes of every pony who stared back at them in complete fear and horror. Bowser and his son stopped in the middle of the road and looked around. Every element was right. No chaos, no evil king and most importantly...

NO MARIO BROTHERS IN SIGHT! This was going to be a breeze!

Bowser looked around at the many ponies to see that they were looking at something else now. Bowser looked to the newcomer, taller then much of the ponies, that was walking in his direction. She stood proudly in front of the two newcomers, her colorful mane flowing in the non-existent wind. She coughed, and tilted her head up. Bowser and his son only stood there, watching her every move, her every breath, her every twitch of the body. Bowser Jr. was first to speak up.

"Wow! Look how big it is pa! It must be their leader!" He said, jumping and crawling up his fathers back, before settling on his head. Bowser chuckled as he held his hand out.

"Excuse me for any complaints I may have caused to your loyal subjects. I do look like quite the imposing figure, don't I?" He said, giving his best friendly smile he could. Celestia blinked, obviously not what she was expecting from such a large creature. She put her hoof on his hand, and was quickly grabbed firmly by the hoof with both of Bowser's hand, shaking it vigorously. "King bowser! King of the Koopas! May I ask of your name as well?" He said in the most professional (And fake) voice he could muster.

Celestia blinked again, before coughing into her hoof and regaining her composure. "Of course! I am Princess Celes-" She was stopped mid-sentence by Bowser Jr.

"Ha! I knew it was a princess! Come on daddy! Let's take it back home! Pretty pretty please?!" He said, poking his father viciously as he said.

Bowser took his son by the shell and held him to his face. "Now now Junior, these are not pets. They are sophisticated people, like us!" He said. Then he said in a small whisper. "But we will take them all later... Just play along with the plan!" He said, pretending to give his son the scolding finger. They gave each other a sly grin, before dropping it to return to business as Bowser placed Jr. on his head again.

"Excuse me if my son had been at all disrespectful, this is a new thing for both of us!" He said, his fake business casual voice back again. "Now, Princess what again?" He said, starting the sentence for the princess.

"Celestia." She said, returning to the matter at hoof. "Now then, Sir Bowser. May I ask of your purpose in coming to Canterlot?" She asked the menacing duo. Bowser looked up to his son, who looked back. Then they both averted their eyes to Celestia again.

"Well...." Bowser began, putting his hands together and pretending to think. "There is two things I wish to talk about with you, now that you mention it..." He said, as he began to put some more plotting into his plan.

"And what would those 'things' be?" She asked, seeing as bowser had finished remembering his problem.

Bowser tapped his sharp looking talons together, finalizing his plan. He clapped his hands together softly as he gave a smile. "Well, for starters, I would like to claim a large amount of land from...er...this...place..." He said. First thing's first, make castles for the minions. That was probably the best course of action. "And secondly...There happens to be a very big threat in your world..." Everypony gasped. A big threat always meant no good.

Celestia was taken back at this. There's no way there could be a threat more dangerous then the accidental escape of Discord, can there? "What might this threat be, exactly?" She asked, her voice shaking a bit at what this evildoer may be.

"There is actually two of them...Brothers from my world now in yours..." At this point, everypony began to talk to eachotherr in fear.

"Who were this dastardly duo? What would they possibly want with Equestria? Why are they so dangerous? Could they be more dangerous then Discord himself?" These questions ran amok in the large group that surrounded the three royal figures.

"Now now, everypony. I am sure we will be able to take care of this large threat...Isn't that right, king Bowser?" She said, her eyes almost pleading to him.

Putty in his talons...Just how he liked it....

"Of course! Our combined forces will surely take over this threat in no time!" He said, shaking Celestia's hoof again with great force from both his hands.

Everypony nodded in agreement. Surely their combined forces can take on this evil group of two! Besides, they had the elements of harmony on their side! There was surely no way they could lose! Right?....Right...?

=Ponyville=

Twilight watched the two converse...Or argue....Or plan out their next move...Well, to be honest, Twilight had absolutely no idea what the two were saying. But this only intrigued her more, making her want to lean in and at least try to understand them.

Mario and Luigi were in a heated conversation, trying to make sense of what had happened today.

First the letter,

Then the pony,

Then the portal, and lastly

'Discord' apparently...

There was literally no way for them to understand exactly how they got there. It all happened too fast for them to fully formulate why they were there at all! They sighed, seeing as they could not come up with anything to explain why they were there. Best to just leave it at that and move on in this new world, they supposed.

"So then...first things first! Who and what are you?" Twilight said as she stood on her hind hooves and balanced herself on the table with her front hooves.

Mario and Luigi blinked at Twilight, then at each other, then they pointed to their hats.

Twilight facehoofed. "No, I don't want to know about your hats, I want to know your names!" She said. This was already begin to frustrate her. Mario took off his hat and held it over to Twilight. She sighed as she took the hat and looked inside it. Then she blinked. There, on a white tag on the back of the hat, was his name.

"Mario Mario" It said. Luigi held out his hat too. Twilight took that one and read his name as well. "Luigi Mario" It read in plain letters. Twilight handed the hats back to their respective owners, and they nodded. "So, you are Mario and Luigi then?" Twilight asked. They nodded, clapping their hands, proud for the little pony on figuring it out. Twilight rolled her eyes and rolled out her next question.

"Aright then, how did you get here?" She asked. Mario and Luigi nodded at each other as they got up and began playing out their day, just as it started.

Twilight watched as they managed to reenact their every move, up to the point where the mail mare came up into their homes, thinking they were Twilight and Fluttershy.

Twilight blinked as they finished up their display. She tried to process everything in her mind.

"So let me get this straight..." She began, looking the Mario brothers in the eyes. "So you just woke up, found a letter in your mailbox that was addressed to somepony else, kept the letter with you, then a mail pony came and took you away, thinking you were me and one of my friends, but transformed in the wrong way, and she took you here, to Equestria...?" She said.

Mario and Luigi had been nodding their heads so hard, they were about to fall off. They slowed to a stop and Twilight nodded. "So then, that portal must still be open! We can take you home and then-" She was interrupted by the sudden explosion of her door falling flat off the hinges. That hasn't happened before...

In came a couple of guards, using a sword and shield with their magic. "Twilight! Step away from those two evildoers and come over here!" They said. They were pushed away by the large imposing yellow and green dragon. "Move over little runts! Those two are MINE!" Bowser said, creating a large boom as he stomped into the room and in front of Twilight. Mario and Luigi were quick to act as they jumped in front of her to protect her and they readied themselves for battle. Bowser simply smacked them aside. "Run kid! Those two are dangerous! And you definitely don't want to get into the crossfire!" Bowser said, pushing Twilight towards the guards.

Twilight blinked as she looked at the guards protecting her. "H-Hey! What's going on?!" Rainbow Dash said from far behind. Twilight looked back to her friend and nodded her head towards the door.

Rainbow Dash flew over and peeked her head over the guards, who were keeping the doorway locked. Mario and Luigi were still recovering from their recent smack as they jumped onto their feet. Bowser chuckled as he readied himself for battle. Mario and Luigi took out their hammers and jumped towards Bowser, only to get smacked out of the way again. They got up faster this time, as Luigi took the first attack and delivered a blow to the side of Bowser's jaw, sending him twirling backwards into a bookcase. The books on shelves R,E,S,W,O,and B fell on Bowser's head in backwards order.

He got up, groaning, before letting out a mad roar of disapproval. Everyone that was around ear shot of that roar almost jumped sky high. Mario went to follow up on Luigi's attack, this time jumping on Bowser's already bruised head. Bowser clawed at Mario and sent him flying though the window and infront of Rarity. Rarity jumped back from the creature in fear as Mario jumped up and ran back in through the window, only to see that Luigi had already gotten knocked out. Mario gulped as he saw the large fist coming his way, and was sent through the window again, this time straight into Rarity and into the wall.

Bowser puffed out smoke from his nose as he crossed his arms. "Tie them up guards, bring them back to canterlot A.S.A.P." He said as he pushed the ponies aside from his exit. Everything was going to plan...

The Mario brothers had been knocked out, thanks to that spell Celestia had put on him. So that meant nothing could get in between him and the beautiful conquering of Equestria AND the Mushroom Kingdom! The stars and planets have finally aligned in favor of this beautiful event!

Mario and Luigi were tied up and put into a carriage, with a confused Twilight looking at the large beast that walked into the carriage as well, and was slowly pulled into the sky, due to his weight holding the driving ponies down...

Twilight looked to Rainbow Dash, who looked back and shrugged. This was definitely not going to be an average day for anypony...

Chapter 3: A new pair of unlikely heroes

Fluttershy kept watching the slow moving carriage until it disappeared from sight. New animals that were just like us ponies? That was definitely an interesting thought! Fluttershy rubbed her ever aching head. She had gotten up later then everypony else. Twilight and Rainbow Dash were trying their hardest to get Rarity from out of somepony else's home. Fluttershy wanted to help but she looked up and saw the that the sun was in the middle of the sky. That meant that time was passing! She couldn't let her poor animals starve! She needed to get back! Fluttershy began galloping home, accidentally bumping into a few ponies who decided to come back after the carnage of Discord. She said sorry, but they didn't seem to feel or hear anything Fluttershy said.

She reached home, and all of the animals greeted her lovingly... All except one.

It was an egg, so obviously it wouldn't be able to see its caretaker at all, but it still moved around every now and then. It was a white egg, with big, circular specks of green on it. Fluttershy walked over and tapped on the egg. It's been in there for about two months, or at least as long as Fluttershy had been counting. She found it about two months and a half ago, and she was still waiting for it to hatch. It had to eventually, right?

Fluttershy sighed as she began to wonder what was inside this egg. It obviously wasn't a chicken, and it didn't look like it came from a bird. But the possibilities were endless. Fluttershy could take all day to wonder about that little egg, but she had work to do. Animals to feed and to keep happy. She went inside and began taking out whatever food she needed for whatever animal that ate it and began feeding the animals one by one giving them all their fair share of food. And then suddenly...

Crack!

Fluttershy looked to the squirrles, who were not eating anything at the time. Then Fluttershy looked to the chicken pens. No new chicks were coming out, and then Fluttershy looked to the mysterious egg that she had examined before. There was a large crack from the shaking egg. The crack began to get larger, making an audible sound every time the shell got weaker, and then suddenly, out popped out a green little dinosaur. It had the weirdest of faces. It had big, rounded cheeks and an even bigger rounded nose!

It got the weirdest of looks from all the animals as it slowly rocked itself in its egg shell. It didn't really seem to care about that as it just looked around, before giving all the other animals a look of confusion.

Not a single soul of another Yoshi in sight. Yoshi jumped out of his shell and began to take in his surroundings. Animals of all kinds looked at him strangely. He saw bears, he saw squirrels, he even saw a bunny raving at him! (Well,shaking his fist at him really.) Yoshi smiled as it saw a vibrant color, about the same color as a different kind of yoshi. But its smile went down as it saw it was only a pony. It's pink hair kinda ruined it. Yoshi sat down as it looked around for something to eat...and then...

His target was acquired.

There, hanging outside of Fluttershy's window, hung a huge, ripe watermelon! Yoshi hopped on a table, getting excited for its first meal since leaving its egg. Its tongue, like a chameleon's, proppelled itself out the window and stuck to the watermelon, and then quickly retracted back into Yoshi's extremely swollen mouth. It gulped down its food without a single bite and stuck its tongue out for it to dangle a bit, rubbing his now full stomach. The animals all stared at him in shock and awe, but Fluttershy was the only one to go over to examine it him closer.

This green thing was definitely new! It had a long tongue, so it had to be a lizard, obviously. Maybe a descendant of the chameleon family? It was green, so it had to be! Fluttershy picked it up and put it down on the ground for it to wander a bit. It walked on two legs, and knew how to fly for a moment in the air. All the animals didn't want to be near Yoshi though. If it can fit a large watermelon in its mouth, then who knew what else could fit in there!

Of course, seconds later, Yoshi began eating again. It began mass eating to the point where it was moved outside to get fruits for its own. Every animal that passed by Yoshi were scared of being gulped up into nothing. With the way it was eating, there was absolutely no telling how good of a stomach this thing had!

But, to this odd strange of events, a new event came up. There was a knock on the door, and Yoshi was in a tree, eating an apple he found, so he didn't see the two koopa assassins that were there. One was clad in strong, spiked armor, the other one was wearing some kind of white cloak and hood, with the hood covering his eyes.

The armored koopa looked to his friend. "Are you serious about that costume?" He asked. "Hey bro, did I question you when you wanted to dress up as Mario?" His friend snapped back. The armored koopa only sighed as he waited at the door. "It does look good on me, you gotta admit!" He said, only receiving a smack on the face. "Oh shut it!"

Fluttershy walked over to the door, and gasped at the two. "Oh my!" She said, looking at the steel koopa in fright. He took his spear and poked fluttershy back with it. She gulped as she backed away from the menacing figure and his not-so-menacing companion. "W-W-Why are you h-here?" She couldn't help but ask.

"We're here to get rid of those who would slow the progress of your new king, King Bowser." He stated in an official voice. His friend nodded as he took out two knives from the sleeves of his...um....Red lined bathrobe?

Fluttershy gulped, as she eyed to her little creatures and almost pleaded for them to run. And they were already a step ahead of them...all except Yoshi, who was watching from the branch near the window. He was utterly confused, but he smelled trouble, and that was exactly what was going on.

Yoshi quickly fluttered from his perch and infront of the door, as he tried to open it, but it was locked. Darn, they must have blocked it.

The armored koopa held his spear up high. "Upon your wanted execution to be as painless as possible, we'll try to make it quick...." He said, and threw it. Fluttershy closed her eyes, and waited for what seemed like the inevitable, but it never came.

Yoshi had slung his tongue from the window, and ripped the spear from midair, dropping it before it went through the window. Yoshi jumped in, and got in a slightly menacing fighting stance. The two koopas looked at eachother, as the robed one tossed his extra knife to his friend. They then began assaulting the little green Yoshi, but the Yoshi managed to slip away from under them. They looked around, then looked behind them, and saw a little yellow feather under the little Yoshi, who now had a very enlarged mouth, which was being kicked from the inside. Yoshi blinked at the two trespassers, and they charged forwards.

Yoshi flutter jumped his way out the window, with the robed one jumping out after him and swinging on a tree, as Yoshi began making his escape.The armored one just simply used the door and began his chase on foot, his knife held up over his head as he yelled commands of 'Heel' 'Yield' and 'For the love of Peach, STOP RUNNING!', but Yoshi didn't abide by that at all.

After a very long while of chasing, the two finally gave up, and sighed. Yoshi had finally escaped.... Yoshi spat out Fluttershy from his mouth, who was now shivering from the cold saliva covering her coat from head to hooves. He mane drooped down over both her eyes, and was now tangled in many directions. She moved her mane from her eyes, which were wide with surprise, and looked at her unlikely hero, who was looking at a strange picture on a tree.

It was Mario and Luigi, or at least, a small painting of them. They looked hideous, but that was just Bowser being a jerk about it. Yoshi took the painting and showed it to Fluttershy. He pointed to the two, so that Fluttershy could see them. On the painting were words. "To be executed at Canterlot" Fluttershy looked at the painting, then at Yoshi, who was shaking his head, and looking to Fluttershy pleadingly. Fluttershy scratched her head, as this was very rare for Celestia herself to make executions...and whoever this 'King Bowser' was, must be somepony trying to take Celestia off of her throne...

And as much as she hated to say it, she was probably the only one who could help, and she had to help this little Yoshi, since it did just save her life...

=Canterlot Dungeon=

Mario and Luigi continued to throw rotten mushrooms at eachother, playing catch with them. They had nothing better to do, since they were stuck in this darn cage and all. Mario sighed, as he caught the shroom and pocketed it. "Mama mia..." He said, kicking his feet about the chair he was sitting in, across from the bed that Luigi was sitting in. Luigi protested with Mario, but shortly gave up, with a sigh and he looked at the bars. Luigi got up with a cup, and began running a cup he found across it, making an obnoxious sound with it. A guard came up, and glared at him, causing Luigi to stop, with a little sheepish grin. Then he stopped, and thought for a second. He just came up with an idea.

Luigi looked slyly at the guard as it turned his back, and he began making noise again. The guard looked back at Luigi with a stern face, but soon dropped it, as he saw that he was gone! He quickly and hastily unlocked the cage, causing Mario to look everywhere, and saw that Luigi had found a way to cling onto the ceiling. Mario looked at the guard, who began asking questions quickly, but Mario only shrugged. Then, the cell door slammed behind them. Mario looked to see Luigi on the other side. The guard quickly ran over and tried to open the door, but failed, as Luigi had locked it. He put the key in his hat, and looked to Mario, with a shrug. Mario groaned in anger, seeing that Luigi only had a plan to get himself out, but he sighed, and hung his head low.

On the bright side, at least Mario just had to wait for Luigi to find a way out for Mario. Mario took a seat down, and the guard was still trying to bust out. Another bright side, Mario wasn't alone in the cell, even if it was a guard keeping him company!

Luigi quickly began making a run for it, holding onto his cap as he made his way to the exit, grabbing onto his hammer on the table nearby, which was taken from him for obvious reasons, and continued running. He smashed his way out of the large group of guards that began to charge at him with all types of weaponry. Luigi began to leak large amounts of tears, which came out like a fountain behind him as he flailed about in fear. It was a miracle he made it out of the castle with his mustache intact! (And dry!)

But escaping was only the first challenge.... Nighttime was soon to roll out, and Luigi could see...something familiar....looming over the distance, but it was way too far away for him to tell, so far, it was like a little green dot.... So he just kept running, until he escaped into the Everfree forest...

Chapter 4: Rescue Mission Gone Right

Fluttershy followed the little Yoshi around, step by step. She wasn't sure where it was headed, but whenever it got places she didn't she was wondering just how old she was, or how talented this little green lizard was. It ended up just carrying her on it's back. She would have wondered why in all of Equestria would this one little beast be able to carry a pony like her. She was wondering if the little thing was struggling under her, but it didn't seem to miss a single beat in any of its steps, jumps, and eating breaks. Just when she was her mind competed on wondering where all the animals had gone, or debating on if she really had to eat all that hay for breakfast, they finally reached a destination.

There, in the middle of a open space, surrounded by trees, was a big, green pipe. Where in Tartarus did THAT come from?!

Apparently there was no time to explain for this little Yoshi. It was strange for this one little Yoshi to possess all this knowledge at such a young age. Maybe when it's hatched, it counts as a teenager? These were questions that Fluttershy would have to research answers out of later. Right now, she was wondering where the pipe was taking her this moment as Yoshi and jumped into it. The pipe seemed to endlessly span for miles, until there was light and Yoshi and Fluttershy were now at the end of the 'joy' ride, and landed smack dab, straight in the middle of a jail cell. It was a dark and gloomy place, but then, the two began to hear the metal of armor clanking on the cold, dark gray stone.

This made both Yoshi and Fluttershy clutter and scrambled their way under something. Fluttershy under a chair and Yoshi behind the bed, they managed to remain undetected as the two guards made their way down the hall.

"So, when do you think bowser is gonna pay me...?" Said a guard to his companion, who only shrugged. The two that walked down the hall was a Koopa and a Goomba. They both were clad in armor, which protected most of their body, and behind them they dragged along Twilight from their recent mission. She was unconscious, of course, to reduce risk of escape to 0%. Fluttershy let out a silent gasp as she saw her friend get dragged down the hall. Where in all of Equestria could our heroine and her...Green lizard-ish mount...possibly be in? The two guards stopped infront of a big door at the end of the hall, and saluted as they were greeted by another guard.

The guard nodded and let the two inside straight away, not even glancing to their newest victim. Fluttershy gave a worried look to Yoshi, who was looking in through a hole at his side of the room. Fluttershy looked out the cell, then back to Yoshi, and slowly made her way there. When she made it there, silently, but quickly, she tried to peek through the hole. There, she saw a white pony in armor, catching something with his horn, then grudgingly clapping in mild amusement and hatered. She tried to look around, but she only got a glimpse of what she thought was some kind of red hat. She was forced out of watching by the loud creaking of the opening cage. Fluttershy reluctantly looked back to see her friend, bruised all over, get thrown into the cell. "Leave her for King Bowser, and we'll interrogate her on the wereabouts of the others later..." A guard said, as he closed the cell door, and made his way towards the Exit, his goomba friend keeping guard outside. Fluttershy quickly made her way over to aid Twilight, fearful for the worst.

Thankfully, it wasn't.

Twilight coughed her way back into existence, groaning in pain as she did so. The guard barely threw a second glance back at her. His disrespect for others except his own kind was harder to see then a big Goomba covered in armor, with a large spear being held by his side by some unknown force....Hey, wait a minute....

Twilight coughed again, as her vision came back to sight, and she nearly jumped through the ceiling. "F-Fluttershy?!" She said, in a hushed and dry voice. "What are you doing here?!" She couldn't help but ask. Fluttershy nodded her head to the little Yoshi, who was idly rocking himself on his legs back and forth. Twilight was almost wide-eyed in excitement, confusion, and awe over how cute this little thing was, and how it knew where to go to get here. It looked at Twilight, and walked over to greet her, with a little roll of it's tongue in it's mouth, making a sound which was probably Yoshi for "Hello".

Twilight Shakily stood up, her knees wobbling as she looked at the Yoshi in fascination. "Wow! I haven't seen anything like it!" She marveled, looking the animal up and down, before her legs gave way and forced all of her legs onto their knees. The Yoshi was obviously very concerned, and quickly looked around Twilight for anything that seemed like it was fatal, and thankfully, nothing was. Fluttershy double checked on that as well, so they were both certain. The Goomba, who was having a short nap, quickly looked back and saw Fluttershy and the Yoshi almost instantaneously. He quickly fumbled around for his keys, which he left right by him. He took it by the mouth and jumped at the lock, putting the key inside it. This made a lot of noise, and began to cause panic within the two ponies. The goomba picked up his spear and aimed it, before being gulped up by the Yoshi, and being swallowed. His belly lumped with the now defeated goomba. Fluttershy and Twilight looked at eachother, then to the now opened exit.

Twilight tried to get up, as Fluttershy began making her way towards the exit, but she failed. Yoshi was quick to notice, and he quickly threw her on his back. She would have protested, if she weren't interrupted by the sudden yelling of guards running down from the main room, and the loud thumping of the ground. Yoshi quickly began running, Twilight hanging on tightly to the little green Yoshi's small neck as she tried her best not to fall off.

Mario looked out from his cell and saw the large mob of koopas, which some managed to bump into Mario's cell, taking the door down with them. Mario and the royal guard quickly began running to see what the commotion was about. They were both unnoticed by the very distracted crowd, and although the royal canterlot guard tried to stop Mario, he was already between a large mob of goombas and koopas alike, and the guard was unable to catch up with Mario now. Mario was finally able to make his escape now, and all he had to do was look for his brother, and find a way out of this world and back in his bed. He was going to need a LOOOOOOONG nap...

=Ponyville, Carousel Boutique=

Rarity kept hard at work on her newest dress, which was featuring lots of pink, and a little blue jewel at the chest area. She sighed, wiping off whatever sweat had accumulated on her forehead. Finally, the dress was complete! Much and much hard work was placed into this dress! And it only took twelve long months, without breaks! She sighed, as she went to go and lock up for the day, before getting a knock at the door. She was just about to lock it, so she just moved her hoof to the handle, and opened the door. "Hello, but we're closed right now darling, you'll have to come back tommo-" She was greeted 'very politely' by the sharp end of a spear, held by a koopa troopa. "-row...?" She finished her sentence, and gulped as she began backing away, the koopa following her every step.

"Sorry miss..." he said, slowly and menacingly rearing the spear back, ready to skewer the unfortunate pony. She gulped, as she averted her eyes from what seemed like fate itself, before there was a very large WHACK! Then there was a thud, and a 'yahoo' from a certain green-capped brother with a hammer in his gloved his hands. Rarity looked to her savior in green, and was almost shocked at his wear. "Plumber clothes?! What kind of hero are you?!" Rarity objected...Or, she would have, if his body didn't fit so perfect with it, especially the moustache and the big rounded nose. That seemed like a very interesting and smooth moustache, and the nose just looked natural for the man in green. She coughed, and got the attention of her hero.

"Thank you darling, but I really didn't need it..." She said, which only made Luigi roll his eyes in a 'whatever' kind of sense...Rarity was going to compliment on the wonderful fabric in which his overalls were made out of and the wonderful design of his socks which peeked out from the bottom of his wonderful overalls, before more guards popped in through the door. Luigi was quick to act as he readied his hammer....and then rushed in King Bowser himself....

Chapter 5: Equestrian Appetites

Luigi looked to Rarity, who had her eyes locked onto the large beast that stood before her, puffing out smoke from his nostrils, a look of rage on his face as he snarled. Rarity backed away slowly, and Bowser stepped forward, making a small imprint in the ground. Luigi jumped in front of Bowser, and began yelling at Bowser in full blown italian. Bowser let out a small laugh, which turned into a full boom of hysteria. Luigi quickly shut his trap and jumped back to protect Rarity. Whatever Bowser wanted with her, it was obvious that keeping her alive was going to keep Bowser from fulfilling whatever plan it was he had for her.

Rarity was completely speechless, as Luigi and Bowser had a standoff. None of the guards, pony or koopa, would dare try their luck in trying to make the first move, should they get in the crossfire. Bowser made the first move, breathing in a large amount of air as his mouth began to glow a fiery red, and he burst out a large fireball at Luigi. Luigi was ready for Bowser's attack, and hit the fireball back at Bowser, nailing him right in the face as he recoiled back, hands in his face as he screamed in agony. This sent the guards into alarm as they quickly began charging in at Luigi and Rarity. Luigi yelped as he grabbed Rarity, who involuntarily followed Luigi out on her hind legs, which was quite odd for her, since she could barely walk like that, not to mention run, but Luigi pulled her up, so she had no choice but to rely on the creature to keep her upright.

"Not to interrupt darling but, where are we going?" She asked, looking ahead of Luigi, trying to plant her third hoof back on the ground, but failing. Luigi pointed to a familiar looking building at the corner of Sugar and Cube. Luigi ran into the bakery, a startled Mrs.Cake jumping behind her table in fear as Luigi took Rarity into the kitchen. She gulped as she looked around, that oversized dragon would be coming in here at any moment! What were they going to do?! She didn't want to die here with a strange creature from another dimension! She still hadn't had her first love yet either! Oh, what a horrid way to go!

Luigi looked around frantically for whatever it was he needed, then he found it, a chef hat! It wasn't usually what Luigi had back in the mushroom kingdom, but it would have to do. He stuffed one on Rarity, and tried to fit the hat over his head, but it was simply too small, oh well, it would have to do. Rarity was confused, and wanted to ask a question, but she found herself with a comically funny mustache on her snuzzle. "I say! This is quite a strange thing for you to do when WE'RE ABOUT TO DIE!" She said, unladylike of her but this was INSANE! How was he going to pull this off?! Luigi sushed Rarity, and went into a closet somewhere, then came out, completely changed into a different set of clothes. He always had a little extra set of clothes in many kinds of fashions. This one was styled after the old italian pizza sellers that was from Luigi and Mario's home town, he used to be a pizza maker you know!

Luigi began cooking instantly, and Rarity couldn't help but look out the door. There was Bowser, demanding Mrs.Cake for the whereabouts of them now. Rarity gulped as she looked to Luigi. "Um. pardon me for being rude earlier, and now, but...We have a problem..." She said, gulping. Luigi looked over Rarity, and closed the door. Luigi took Rarity and turned her face towards Luigi, as he made a gesture over his lips. "Zip it".

Rarity nodded, keeping completely silent. Luigi ran over to the closet again and pulled out a skirt. They were going to recognize Rarity's...um...butt tattoo? Luigi never understood why everyone had one, but whatever, they were going to recognize it and Luigi's plan would be ruined! Luigi had finally finished his masterpiece. A simple, pepperoni pizza! Luigi looked for some super hot sauce, and after succeeding in doing so, he poured it all over the pizza. Bowser was going to have a big surprise! Luigi adjusted Rarity's fake mustache, and smiled. He tried to gesture for Rarity to disguise her voice, but she kinda already had that covered....kinda... Luigi patted Rarity through the door, and she came face to face with Bowser.

"Hey!" He said, looking Rarity straight in the eye, as he invaded her personal space. She began to sweat with complete fear. Bowser looked royally angry, but then he calmed down, almost instantly. "Have you seen a green hatted man run in here awhile ago?" He asked. Rarity gulped. The disguise was working! She didn't know how, but it was working! She shook her head, and grabbed onto Bowser's hand. "Please sir, we're going to need you for a second!" She said, in the best stallion voice she could muster. Bowser raised an eyebrow as Rarity as she pulled him over to a chair, where he took a seat, honestly confused about what was going on. Rarity had it all set for Luigi, and she quickly cantered into the kitchen, where Luigi was saying his goodbyes to his mustache, before ripping it off. Tears swelled in his eyes, mostly in emotional pain...and...physical pain too...

He wiped them away, and placed on some glasses. Luigi now looked like a completely different person! Luigi placed the extra hot pizza on a plate, and gallantly strode outside and to Bowser's table, placing the food on his plate. The koopalings had taken seats around Bowser, discussing things such as how to catch Luigi, and where he might have ran off. Luigi put the pizza down in front of the group, and quickly made his way back to Rarity, who was now hyperventilating from the large amounts of pressure she was feeling. If she stayed her any longer, she would have a heart attack! Luigi took off Rarity's disguise, but kept the skirt on her. They didn't have much time to change a lot, so they had to get their silly disguises off. Luigi took off his hat and glasses, and put on his original hat, taking Rarity by the hand again and rushing out.

To Luigi's delight, the koopas were all having the same problem Bowser was having, a sever case of super spicy hot sauce! They were all breathing fire from their mouths, even King Bowser himself was unable to control his firey flames! Mr. and Mrs.Cake had quickly made their exit, but they forgot one thing...

Pinkie pie! They had left her upstairs! If she stayed, then...Well...The worst could happen! Rarity had to explain this to Luigi and he regretfully went upstairs, hopeful that Bowser wouldn't be able to recover from this anytime soon, so that they would have enough time to escape. Luigi and Rarity looked around frantically for Pinkie Pie and found her asleep in her room. Luigi didn't have time to explain anything to Pinkie who was waking up, hair disheveled and mood at a mild happy. Luigi picked up Pinkie, as she tried to wake up, but couldn't quite do so. Rarity, Luigi, and Pinkie were making their exit as an enraged Bowser began giving chase, but giving up as the next side effect of the pizza settled in on his stomach. Time for him to find a bathroom.

Luigi, Rarity, and a sleepy Pinkie had made their escape! Now, it was only a matter of finding everypony else....
