Twilight and her friends went to Pinkie Pie on Sweet Apple Acres. She still had Applejack's Cutie Mark and they wanted Applejack to have her own Cutie Mark back. "Applejack, all you need to do is bucking some Apples and help your family planting new appletrees. Then your true Cutie Mark will appear. Be honest, you're not good at making dresses." Twilight said. "No, Ah won't help 'em. Just look at mah Cutie Mark. Three Diamonds, that means that is mah destiny, not working at an Apple Farm." Applejack replied. "But Applejack, you have to believe me! They didn't call you Applejack for making dresses!". "Okay, Ah give it a try..."
They arrived at Sweet Apple Acres and looked for Pinkie Pie. But nopony was there. Not even Big Mac, Granny Smith or Applebloom showed up. "We need to find them! They can't be far away! Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, fly over Sweet Apple Acres and look for clues! Rarity, Applejack, you two come with me!" Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash flew up in the air, Rarity Applejack, Spike and Twilight went into the barn. Nopony was here. "They need to be somewhere arround! They just need to be here ... please ... Oh I'm sure Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash found them! Yes, everything is just fine, they're probably picking apples or planting new trees." She started to laugh and stroke over her tail. "Sugarcube, are you alright?" "Of course I'm alright! Everything is alright! haha!" She continued laughing, but suddenly she stopped and she started to cry. "No, nothing is alright... I hope Flutters and Rainbow found them."
They tried to calm her down, until Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash came back. But they had bad news. "We're so sorry, we couldn't find them." But then Twilight remembered Applejack's apple cellar.
"Girls! I think I know where they are!" So they went into Applejack's cellar. It was very dark and they didn't see anything. "Applebloom? Big Mac? Granny Smith? Pinkie? Anypony in there?" Instead of a reply, they heard a laugh, the most evil laugh they've ever heard. "Pinkie, is that you? Oh no, no, no, no, no!" They entered a big round room. "You see this big round room? It's known for its roundness and bigness! And did I mention that its round?" Pinkie said with a very crazy tone. In the big, round room was very deep gap and on the ground of it was an applejuice machine. But instead of applejuice there was blood. "Don't tell me you ... Did you ... oh no, this can't be true. I am still aspleep, right? I wake up any secound and everything is just fine! Haha, haha, hahaa! Good joke Pinkie. Haha, haha! You really got me! Using cherries instead of apples, to make it look like blood. Ahahaa!" Her insane laugh scared everypony but Pinkie. She looked on her hooves, saw a little blood and licked it away.
Applejack was angry. "How dare you to kill mah family! Come over you worthless bitch, you deserve to die!" But instead of waiting for Pinkie, she ran over by herself. Applejack raised her hoof, ready to hit her. But she couldn't do it. She looked into Pinkie's eyes and remembered all the funny times with her and the other's. But then she looked at the applejuice machine with the blood of her family. She couldn't decide, what she is supposed to do. Revenge or friendship? She cried tears of desperation. Then she did something nopony was expecting. She hugged Pinkie, walked over to the applejuice machine and said "Goodbye, friends. Ah had a great time with y'all." Then she jumped into the machine and died. The machine squished her to death, breaking every single of her bones. Blood came ot of her eyes, ears, nose and mouth, but she died with a smile on her bloody face, knowing she'd meet her family soon. Everypony started to cry, even Pinkie. "I didn't mean to kill my friends. I only wanted to kill my enemies and ponies which came behind my secret. But not my friends..." she said. "I guess I need a therapy." "I guess we all need a therapy. Just look at us, we're all traumatized."Twilight said. "And we're not the elements of harmony anymore. Applejack wasn't even able to die with her true cutie mark. She died with Raritys. Pinkie, you need to come with us. Your own Cutie Mark waits." Twilight tried to smile. But she failed.
Back in Ponyville, Pinkie tried to make everypony smile. She tried to act like everything was still fine. She earned her old Cuite Mark back, but she wasn't happy. Nopony was happy.
"I can't stand it anymore! Pretending like nothing happend! Applejack died she will never come back anymore! She's fucking dead!" Twilight suddenly cried, 3 days after AJ's death. "You guys are acting like Applejack has never existed! Like you don't care about her!" "Oh, darling, of course we care about Applejack, but ..." "But what?! Tell me! You better have a good reason, to forget one of your friends is dead!" "... life doesn't stop for you, until you are ready for it. It just goes on. And I did not forget, that Applejack is dead!" "But Pinkie, your Hair is curly again, that means you're happy. Did you forget about her?" "No of course not! How could I forget that? I was the last person she hugged. That was a great honor, you know?" "Um.. Fluttershy, you're also quite happy. Why, because AJ's dead?" Fluttershy gasps. "No, of course not! A cat of mine just gave birth to this little kitty. Isn't it cute?" "Oh, but I think Rainbow Dash forgot about her!" "No I didn't. I think we are allowed to be happy whenever we want to. Please, Twilight, I know it's a tragedy, that Applejack's dead, but it doesn't mean, that we need to be sad all the time." "Yeah, look at the bright side of the life, like parties! With cake, punch, dancing and hugging! Doesn't that sound just great?" Pinkie tried to make her smile. And it actually worked.
