There, lying on her living room floor, was a true, blue, honest-to-Celestia HUMAN!
To be specific, it was a boy with short, blonde hair, hazel eyes, and pale skin. He looked about the same age as Lyra, if she had to predict his age. He was average height and average weight, at least for a human. He was wearing a Flutter-yay T-shirt and blue jeans.
Lyra didn’t care of any of this, however. It’s a human! An actual HUMAN! What do I do? I’ve never even SEEN a human before! This… This is just… Lyra passed out.
When she opened her eyes, she was staring right at his face, with him staring back.
“Um, hello…?” The boy said. Lyra waved back in response.
“Oh, wait… Lyra can’t speak…” The boy smacked himself in the face. “It’s nice to meet you. I am a Brony. My name is Cody.”
Lyra was confused. What’s a Brony? Where’d this human come from? Will he be able to go home? Most importantly, what’s he doing here?
Cody read her expression. “Questions, right? Okay, here’s one you’ll love. I AM a human. A Brony is a human male who willingly watches the TV show “My Little”… wait… You guys probably have NO idea what a TV is… This may sound creepy, but some of us humans like watching you ponies live your lives. Those are Bronies.
Where did I come from? I can’t tell you that. However, I CAN tell you that I am perfectly capable of- Who am I kidding? I have NO IDEA how to get back…” He looks at the ground, a look of embarrassment crossing his face.
“I shouldn’t have touched that machine… I was warned not to… Even if I AM able to return, I’ll probably get terminated by the damned FBI…”
Lyra cocked her head to one side. FBI? What’s that?
“I’m going to get an earful for this, that’s for sure…”
Lyra ran to her room. “Wha…?” Cody inquired.
She returned moments later, with her lyre.
“OOH! I love music!” Cody exclaimed happily.
Lyra played a series of seemingly random notes. Can you hear me?
“Ooh! Lyre-speak! Yes, I can hear you!”
A look of surprise crosses Lyra’s face, and she plays more notes. You can?
“Eeyup!”
Oh, Celestia! This is the most exciting thing I’ve ever been a part of!
