Chapters Prologue: Kaikrussia rising
"If there was a time to say that the Kaikrussian Empire was in peace and harmony, well then the history books would be filled with the stories. Well no, it was never peaceful, barbaric yes but peaceful, we are to far away from knowing what peace is. If you were to even mention Equestria on the streets the society would be in an uproar, you would be hung by your arms and tortured right in front of every civilian on the street. For a city raised by demons it seems completely justified. Although the whole torture thing happens to my kind every day, the Kaikrussian Hunters. We are pure Kaikrussian, born with the blood of spirits of our demon and hunter ancestors. Starting with my ancestor Vladimir Draconus, the very first born hunter, who raised the Kaikrussian military up to its peak and declared war on Equestria 1500 years ago. I could see the battle for Canterlott now, Equestria's last stand to defend themselves from the Kaikrussian army that stood before them, led by Vladimir himself."
The burned battlefield that seperated the Kaikrussian and Equestrian militaries was demolished from constant battle, both armies standing before each other. The battle takes place 500 years before Nightmare Moon's betrayal, Princess Luna and Celestia stand along side with the Equestrians to help defend the land that they love dearly. Next to them was General Iron Armor, who wears royal guard armor. His mane was long and white, and he had on a royal guard helmet. He carried a long sword on his side, prepared to draw it forth and slay his enemies. Right next to him was his brother, Flight Commander Iron Wing. He was in charge of the pegasi that aid the Equestrians. His appearance is almost the same as Iron Armor except for the fact that he was a Pegasus and his hair was short and black. He wasn't wearing a helmet and he carried a short sword on his side. Iron Armor grabs Celestia's shoulder and says, "Your highnesses, its too dangerous for you two to be out here. Head to the castle immediately." Celestia shakes her head, stating that she refuses to leave.
Across the other side of the field on a small hill stood the Kaikrussian military, and at the front of the pack was Vlad Draconus. He wore big bulky armor that made appear larger than he actually was, though he was described as a monster that stood 7 feet tall. He carried a large sword on his back that would require 2 hands for a normal pony but he can hold it with 1, and a knife on his hip which was actually a short sword. On his face were strange tattoo markings that looked like the language of demons and in the middle of his left cheek said Torment. The rest of the army that stood behind him wore similar armor and also horned helmets that covered up their entire face. Vlad brings his hand back and waves to his soldiers shouting "Bring forth the prisoner!" the entire valley heard his yell. The Kaikrussians push out a prisoner who was wearing Equestrian Royall Guard armor, he was bloodied, beaten to half of his life, and his mouth was stitched shut. In other words he was pretty fucked up. A look of suspense went over Iron Armor's face.
"Isn't that your son?" Iron Wings says tapping Iron Armor's shoulder. The Kaikrussians forced him onto his knees right next to Vlad. Vlad grabbed the back of his head by his mane and held him up, then pulled out his knife from its hilt and held it up to the prisoner's throat. "This is your last warning, this is what will happen to you if you don't surrender to the Kaikrussian Empire. May this be an example!" Vlad drags the blade across the prisoner's neck, nearly decapitating him. Vlad holds up the prisoner still so that the General can see the life drain from his son's eyes.
"Royal Guard attack!" screamed Iron Armor in pure rage.
"Kaikrussians attack!" screamed Vlad. The Kaikrussians started charging towards the Equestrians chanting "Maim, Kill, Burn. Maim, Kill, Burn!" Both armies have a clash together and the bloodshed began. "Kill, Crush, Rip them limb from limb. Don't stop killing til I am drinking the Princesses blood through their still beating hearts!" shouted Vlad at the top of his lungs.
"The battle was one of the most devastating things that Equestria has faced. Not only did the Kaikrussians fail in their attempt to take Equestria, but they lost Vlad in the battle. He had slain both Iron Armor and Iron Wings but was taken out by Celestia due to the Elements of Harmony. Although, he was born again as the great demon Torment, a demon of god-like ability. Not only did it mark him as a traitor due to the fact that he took the entire army and disappeared but it marked pain, neglect, and torture for the rest of the hunters born, including his own son, who then had a son and so on, making the Draconus Family. Other hunter families were born as well but a Draconus hunter is the most powerful and most deadly. Thus I write this letter to you my emperor, that if you are reading this I am already dead. Please make sure that my sons Damon and Kai become successful as the leaders of the Hunters. Sincerely, Malakai Draconus."
The Emperor sits on his throne holding the letter up to his face."It has been almost 5 years since the death of Malakai." The Emperor points at one of his guards, "Bring me Damon."
"Yes my lord." says the guard as he bows at his lord. The guard walks out of the room and comes back a few minutes later with a boy, who appeared to be 16 years of age. His body was scared and covered with fresh cuts. He is weak from constant torture that he was dragged into the room. The guard forces him on his knees and holds his face up to look at the Emperor.
"Damon Draconus, how have you been enjoying your 2 year sentence to non-stop torture?" the Emperor asks. Damon doesn't answer making the Emperor continue talking. "Its been 5 years since the betrayal of your twin Kai and the death of your father isn't it?"
"What do you want from me old man?" Damon states angrily at the Emperor, "I already know so don't answer."
"Well it has been 2 years and you are finally 16 years of age, so Im making you take your father's place in the military and lead the Hunters into battle." The guards grab Damon's right arm and put the gauntlet of the military armor on Damon's arm. The armor goes from his fingertips to his shoulder. Then another guard comes to Damon with a devise that appeared to be scorching hot. The devise was made to burn the Armor into Damon's skin so he can never take it off. When the guard puts the devise on Damon feels the boiling metal burning into his skin but he is too weak to scream. "Damon my boy, consider this an honor. You get to lead Kaikrussia's greatest soldiers into the battlefield and fight along side your kind. Don't disappoint me."
"Fuck you." Damon says as he looks at the Emperor. "Eventually I will leave the Empire and come back for your head."
It had been 2 years since Damon was forcefully made to join the Kaikrussian military. Around that time his spirit was broken and all he had in his mind was anger. He eventually left the military and Kaikrussia to start a new life in hopes that it would bring his spirits up. He knew that the only place he could go to escape the ridicule of Kaikrussia was Equestria, Kaikrussia's enemy. He was walking down an old dirt path, which he was following for days without stop. Day and night he would walk on the path only stopping to sleep and eat. Damon had long black hair that reached down to his shoulders. He was wearing a white t-shirt and over that a black leather jacket with read detailing along the edges. He had on blue denim jeans and black combat boots. Underneath his clothes were the tattoos of the Draconus family markings that he was born with. They were in the language of demons and were on his neck, chest, upper back, and his left arm. He had a backpack on that carried his food and water. He was carrying a duffle bag in his right hand that carried his clothes, including his battle armor, cause he couldn't abandon the memories it brought. Damon sat down against a tree and reached into his pack and pulls out a bottle of water. Damon unscrews the cap and starts to drink out of the bottle and drinks up but stops when he hears the sound of a wagon coming by. A colt was pulling the wagon and it had supplies in the back Damon asked, "Hey you, can you help me out here?"
"Who me?" asked the colt pointing at himself.
"No, the invisible colt that is right in front of you." Damon says sarcastically, "Can you tell me where the nearest village is?"
"Why yes I can, it's 2 miles down the trail, you can't miss it." The colt points over in the direction Damon was heading in and continues to go his own way. Damon gets up and grabs the rest of his stuff and continues to walk down the trail while thinking about the village that he was heading to. He walked for an hour and a half before he comes to a hill that shows a sight he thought he would never see. There was a village that was filled with houses and stores that were filled with people. These people weren't fighting for certain items like food and other provisions and all appeared happy, which is a rare sight to see in Kaikrussia. Damon looks down and says, "Dammit, I died and went to hell." Damon continues to walk down the path and continues to look around him amazed with the living conditions that these people had and how different it was from his home country. While he was walking, he came across a building that appeared to be made of gingerbread and candy. The sight made Damon sick to his stomach but his curiosity as greater as he walked into the sugar coated building. The inside was a lot nicer looking than the outside. The looks of the inside with all the cakes, cupcakes, and muffins told Damon that the place was some sort of bakery. There were menus on the walls that told you about all kinds of cakes and other delicacies, But still made Damon say, "What the Hell is this place?"
"Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner!" said an unknown voice that came from the counter. Damon turns to look and sees a pony with a long curly pink mane, her skin color was also pink, but a bit lighter than her mane. She had blue eyes and in Damon's eyes looked beautiful. She had on a yellow shirt and a light blue skirt that went down to almost her knees. She had on long white socks and yellow shoes, and over all that was an apron. "Hello, you must be new, cause I haven't seen you around here, and I know everyone in Ponyville, and I haven't met you so you must be new!" She said it all really fast that Damon couldn't keep up with it all. She moves over to Damon and says, "Hi i'm Pinkie Pie." Damon tries to cover up his right hand with his sleeve and continues to say nothing. "Whats your name?"
Damon had to answer her question but also had his mind on the thought that her name was weird but then again he was in another country with different cultures. "My name is Damon Draconus and what exactly is this place?" Damon says hoping she would give him a straight answer.
"This is Sugar Cube Corner, its a sweets bakery silly. I'm filling in for Mr and Mrs Cake while they are away at a festival. They are the owners and they trust me to look after the place while they are gone." She gave Damon a little too much information than he wanted and he was a bit confused from how fast she said all of that.
"Right, well then I must be going, I don't know this town and I need to find a place to stay." Damon turns to leave the building.
"Wait!" Pinkie Pie yells as she takes off her apron, "I could show you around, I know everyone here. Also I could introduce you to my friends." She begins to walk closer to Damon as he stops in front of the door.
"Whatever, just as long as you also help me find a place to stay while your at it." She gets a big smile on her face and Damon opens the door for her. As they walk out the door and start the tour of Ponyville, Damon says, "And slow down while your talking, I can hardly keep up"
It had been almost 5 minutes into the tour and Damon was never as confused in his life as he was today. In that 5 minutes Pinkie Pie was blasting names of other ponies out of her mouth. Finally Damon had enough of it and said, "I thought you were going to show me your friends, not everyone in town." Pinkie Pie looked disappointed at Damon and stopped walking.
"I'm sorry, I just thought that you wanted to know everypony in Ponyville as well." She looked sad and was almost about to cry.
"No, no I just wanted to meet your friends more than everyone else." Damon said in his defense. He was also getting a thought through his head, why did she say everypony, maybe Kaikrussian ponies have other words that are different from Equestrian ponies. "Listen, if you wanna be up all night introducing me to everyone in town then I'm probably not gonna be to happy about it. Understand." Damon says hoping that she understands what he means.
"Okey dokey lokey." she said and they started walking through the town, "I should take you to see Rarity first." she said grabbing a hold of Damon's left hand and started pulling on him. She seemed really excited about her decision and was pulling harder, rushing Damon to walk faster. While she was pulling Damon, they were passing all sorts of ponies that she would have introduced him to, but Damon got through to her and he is happy with that. They walked to an area that looked like a court yard, the middle of Ponyville, although Damon feels like he was walking in a circle.
"Look out!" shouted a random voice. Damon looked to see a person flying towards them. Damon pushes Pinkie Pie out of the way and then jumps to the side to evade the person. The pony crashed into a pile of boxes which fell on top of her. She pokes her head out and appeared to be a sky blue mare with rainbow patterned hair, she was wearing a sports vest and running shorts, or in this case flying shorts and a pair of running shoes. "Wow, that was close. You really need to watch where you are going."
"Hi Rainbow Dash." said Pinkie Pie as she gets up from the ground and begins walking towards her.
"Hey there Pinkie Pie." said Rainbow Dash, "What are you doing out here, don't you have to cover for Mrs. Cake at Sugar Cube Corner?"
"It's fine, I locked the place up and closed it for the day." Pinkie Pie looked around for a bit and spotted Damon swiping dust off of his jacket. She then grabs Rainbow Dash and begins to pull here towards Damon to introduce him. "Rainbow Dash, I would like you to meet Damon. He is my new friend here in Ponyville and I am showing him around."
Damon begins to walk closer to them and holds out his hand for a handshake, "Nice to meet you." Damon said in an angry tone. Being almost crashed into by a crazy Pegasus really made him angry.
"So you are Damon?" she said looking at him, "Sorry, but you must be 20% cooler to talk to me."
"Ha, that's funny, cause I'm already cooler than you by 80%" replied Damon. Rainbow Dashes cheeks turned red at that comeback, embarrassed that she had been beaten.
"Alright you win, but don't get to carried away. Just as long as you know that I am the best flyer in all of Equestria." Rainbow Dash crosses her arms and lifts herself off the ground with her wings.
"Right, and what exactly do you do here in Ponyville, fly figure 8's in the sky?" Damon said in a joking manner.
"That's not what I do... anymore, I help with the weather here in Ponyville and I train to join the Wonderbolts." Rainbow Dash explained in a proud manner hoping that it would make Damon respect her more.
"Yea well good luck with that." Damon said grabbing Pinkie Pie's hand and begins pulling her off with him, "I think I'm done here. Can we just see whats her face now?" Damon said extremely annoyed.
"You mean Rarity?" Pinkie Pie asked, even though she already knew the answer to that. "Why were you so mean to Rainbow Dash by the way?" Pinkie Pie saw the annoyed expression on Damon's face and was hoping he would be straight forward with her.
"She is way too full of herself and I hate people like that." Damon said in an annoyed fashion. "Seriously, why does she think she is the best? I've seen Pegasus who ripped off their skin with how fast they flew."Damon continues to walk and Pinkie Pie tries to keep up with him. "Are we almost there yet or not?"
Pinkie Pie rushes ahead of Damon and stops him in his tracks, "We are here." she said with a wide smile on her face trying to forget their conversation about Rainbow Dash. "Welcome to the Carousal Boutique." she said as they were standing outside the door. Pinkie Pie reached over and opened the door and on the inside was filled with many dresses and other wears.
"Oh great, just where I wanted to go, a shop for girls." Damon said sarcastically. They walk into the building but don't see Rarity to be anywhere in sight. "What makes you so sure she is even here?"
"Because she also lives here." Pinkie Pie replies. "She is probably in the back working on some new design or something."
"Great, there is a back room now." says Damon, "Next thing you know she is gonna come out with a chainsaw and try to kill us."
"Whats a chainsaw?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Never mind, forget I said that." They continue to look through the Boutique looking for Rarity, heading deeper into the shop they see a door. "This must be the back room." Damon opens the door and sees a silver mare with curly yet styled purple hair. Under it was a horn revealing that she was a unicorn, and she was using her magic to help her work. She was wearing black designers pants and a white long sleeve sweater. On her feet were black high heeled shoes and black socks. To not just Damon's eyes but to any colt out there, she was beautiful. "And this must be the Rarity you keep telling me about." Damon says, turning his head to Pinkie Pie. Rarity turns her head towards them to see who was at her door.
"Pinkie Pie darling, what is with this unexpected visit while I work on my next masterpiece?" Rarity said stopping what she was doing. At first she didn't even realize that Damon was there too, but she noticed after a bit. "My, who is this? I believe we never met."
"Damon Draconus, I am new here and I am looking for a place to stay as well as being brought on an annoying tour. I bet you can guess by who." he said pointing to Pinkie Pie. For a few seconds it was quiet while Rarity was staring Damon down, then a surprised look went across her face.
"Oh my, what is that horrid attire you are wearing!?" she said, pointing at Damon's clothes. Damon looked confused while she was ranting about his clothes. "And you stink, why do you smell so bad!?"
"Well I was traveling for days to get here and I don't necessarily have a place with a shower." Damon said in his defense, "And what is wrong with my clothes?"
"Why they are horrid, rugged, and don't even get me started on the material. What is this jacket made of?" Rarity says while feeling Damon's jacket, unaware of what leather actually is.
"Dried up cow skin." Damon replied. Rarity let go of the jacket and had a sickly look on her face. "I have a feeling I said the wrong thing Damon said. Rarity's face was almost pure green, she looked like she was gonna vomit, but she sucked it up and went back to their conversation.
"I can't believe I touched that." Rarity said, "We must find you new clothes immediately."
"Lets get out of here!" Damon yelled, grabbing Pinkie Pie's hand and dashed out of the shop. Damon kept on running till he saw no sign of Rarity's Boutique. "Alright, who is next on your list of crazy friends?" Damon said while they were walking down a dirt path.
"Weelll, Applejack is the closest, look there is Sweet Apple Acres." Pinkie Pie pointed out. Damon looked and saw what appeared to be a ranch that was surrounded by apple trees.
"Of course someone named Applejack would live at an apple ranch." Damon said in a sarcastic manor. He looked around and saw a barn, a ranch house, and tons of apple trees. Damon was annoyed with the whole fact that he was on the tour of crazies to begin with, but then he realized that he forgot to ask Rarity if she knew about any open places for him to stay in. "Lets just get this over with."
"Now I know Applejack should be around here somewhere." Pinkie Pie said, looking around the trees. "She is usually getting off of work around this time."
Damon was looking around as well then he heard the sound of a mare saying "Yeehaw" in the background. Damon closed in on the sound to find an orange colored mare with long blond hair in a pony tail near the bottom and a brown cowboy hat on top. She was wearing a red long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She was wearing short jean shorts that went halfway down her thighs, almost to her knees and brown boots that were beaten up and dirty. She was covered in sweat from a hard days work and was taking a small break. She turns her head and sees Damon for the first time and walks over to him. "Howdy stranger. What brings you here?"
"My name is Damon Draconus, I am new to Ponyville and looking for a place to stay while being brought on this annoying tour by your friend Pinkie Pie." Damon replied leaning himself on one of the apple trees.
"Well howdy, I'm Applejack and welcome to Sweet Apple Acres." She says, taking off her hat and wiping some sweat off of her forehead with her forearm.
"Do you know if there are any places for me to stay at all?"
"No not really. I haven't seen any whenever I go into town." she puts her hat back on and begins to think for a bit.. "Maybe some pony with a little extra room in their house will rent it out to you. Just as long as you have the money for it."
"Dammit. I don't have a lot of money on me."
"Well, your always welcome to come work here at the ranch, we could always use extra hands." Applejack looks around a bit to see how the day has gone, she bucked at least 20 apple trees that day and she wanted to buck more. "Now if you will excuse me, I need to get back to work." she puts her hat back on and heads over to an apple tree.
"You do that." Damon said, turning back towards the way he came from. "Pinkie Pie we are leaving!" he yells. Pinkie Pie sticks her head out from the bottom of a tree branch.
"Aww, we are leaving now. I was having so much fun climbing trees."
"Yea well fun time is over, what friend is there next?"
"Only one more." Pinkie Pie says while climbing out of the tree, "Fluttershy." They walk over to the exit of Sweet Apple Acres and begin walking to a bright friendly looking forest with little woodland creatures everywhere. Damon didn't recognize any of these creatures, because in Kaikrussia the animals are very aggressive and close to monsters.
They walk up to what appeared to be a house made out of a tree. A large tree stump to be exact. "This is where she lives?" Damon asked, even though he already knew that, since it was the only home out there.
"Yep, this is where Fluttershy lives. But I need to warn you, she is a little shy." Pinkie Pie knocks on the door and waits for an answer. The door slowly opens and through the crack appeared a yellow skinned mare with long pink hair that covered one eye. She was wearing a long green dress and green shoes to match them. She was one of the most beautiful mares Damon has ever seen in his life, but being the stone-heart Kaikrussian he was, he didn't let those feelings affect him.
"Oh, hello Pinkie Pie." she said in a soft pleasant tone that was close to a whisper. Then she turned her head over to Damon and a surprised look went over her face and a squeal came from her mouth. She shut the door on them and locked the door.
"Is that how she says hello to new people?" Damon said, giving Pinkie Pie an annoyed look.
"No, as I said, she is just a little shy." she replied.
"You call that a little."
"well maybe not a little." she knocked on the door again and said, "Fluttershy, can you please open the door? I want you to meet someone." The sound of the lock on her door switched and the door slowly cracked open again.
"Are you sure Pinkie Pie, I don't think I can handle this?" Pinkie Pie nodded her head and the door slowly opened some more. "Okay." she said softly.
Damon reached out his hand and said, "Hello, my name is Damon Draconus." Damon was tired of saying his name and wanted to get it all over with.
"My name is... Fluttershy" she said, but here voice got softer and Damon couldn't fully hear the last part.
"Can you repeat that?"
"My name is....Fluttershy." this time there were a few cracks in her voice but it was easier to hear and understand. Damon put his hand down knowing that she was too shy to shake his hand.
"Well nice to meet you." he said, in a much nicer tone. Damon felt like he had to be nicer to people who were shy or neglected due to the way he grew up in Kaikrussia. "Well then, I guess I will see you around." Damon said looking up at the sky seeing that it was almost dark outside. He was wondering where the time went.
"Bye." Fluttershy said fast, and slammed the door shut again. Damon and Pinkie Pie turn around and head back to Sugar Cube Corner. Damon ad an angry look on his face when they got back because it was dark outside and Damon didn't find a place to stay.
"Well that was lovely, I met all of your friends, and all it cost me was not finding a place to stay." Damon said sarcastically. Pinkie Pie looked at Damon with an excited expression on her face.
"I just had an idea. The Cakes have a spare room in Sugar Cube Corner, maybe if you pay rent they will let you stay there."
"Yea well I thought they were outta town." Damon pointed out.
"Only for 2 more days, and since I'm in charge I can let you stay in there. If you work at Sweet Apple Acres for those 2 days then maybe you can earn enough to convince them."
Damon is actually pretty surprised with Pinkie Pie, did she really just have a good idea. "Well then fine, I will try." then Damon gave a small smirk on his face. "Wait a minute, are you sure this isn't just your way of getting me to be closer to you?" he asked as a joke but Pinkie Pie didn't recognize it and her cheeks turned a little red.
"No of course not." she said.
"I was just kidding." they head into SCC and Damon brings his stuff up to the spare room. The room was fully equiped, it had a bed, a desk, a dresser, and a closet. There was enough room for Damon's stuff and anything extra he gets in Ponyville. Damon doesn't even think about setting his stuff up, that could wait until the Cakes actually confirm that he could stay there. At the moment all Damon could think about is sleep. He drops onto the bed and passes out almost instantly. He has a busy day ahead of him.

This is before Twilight goes to Ponyville. She will appear later.
It had been 2 days since Damon first arrived in Ponyville, though he can hardly believe that the country his people hate so much isn't threatening at all. Through the entire history of Kaikrussia, they have been at war with drakes, dragons, and changelings. Two of which Damon had helped fight against, as commander of the Kaikrussian hunters. Now he was in Ponyville, adjusting to the new lifestyle, though he knows it won't be easy. In those 2 days he met many new people, only the five mares that he met that day were the only ones he had thoughts about. He managed to get a job at an apple farm and persuade the Cakes to allow him to stay in their guest room for rent. But now all that he knows is that he eventually is gonna need to change, he can't let his anger get the best of him, for the safety of everyone in town, and especially for the safety of Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and maybe Rainbow Dash.
It was late at night, Damon sat on his bed, shirtless, for in the comfort of his room, he had nothing to hide. He knew eventually he had to stop hiding and let everyone know he was Kaikrussian, even though it would possibly cause a panic. He changed the room around to his liking, such as he had a stand in one of the corners that held his old armor. The armor was still cut up and beaten from his last mission, which was still pictured in his mind. All of his missions were but this was the most recent. He hung up most of his clothes in the closet along with his jacket and in the dresser he kept mainly his combat knife, a m25 9mm handgun (which was standard issue to all soldiers), and anything else that needed storage. Only one drawer was used for clothes and it was the top drawer which held his socks and underwear in it. Other than that, he kept the room dark and the windows covered with a dark curtain at all times, so no one can see very well if someone just so happens to try to spy on him, which was very unlikely.
Damon was staring at his right hand with the burned on gauntlet and then at his armor, which was a black leather armor with dark purple detailing on it. The right arm was missing, since he already had the gauntlet and right next to it was a sword, that he held on his side, like all Kaikrussian soldiers. It had a hood go down its back and there was supposed to be a mask to go over the face, but he left it behind. Staring at that armor reminded him of one of his missions that instantly flashed into his mind and suddenly, he was back at that time. The area was metallic and it had seats in it, just like the inside of any Kaikrussian transport vehicle. The vehicle just so happens to be a Non Pegasai Aerial Transport, a plane. Damon and his squad, labled Black Echelon, were sitting down in the seats and Damon was about to give the mission briefing.
"All right men listen up, before I get to the briefing I'm doing a role call." All soldiers 5 soldiers straighten themselves up waiting for Damon to continue. "First there is Mikhail Rayan, heavy weapons specialist." Mikhail steps forth to show himself to the other soldiers. He was wearing black cargo pants and a black tanktop, he was the most muscular person there. His hunter family markings went down his back and his left arm, like Damon and all hunters, the right arm armor was burned into their skin. He was bald and had a large scar go across his right eye and reach his neck.
"Major Rayan sir." he said with very deep voice. "I speciallize in heavy weaponry and mt preferred weapon is the m67 Barrage."
"A barrage huh, well lets see how well it works with a silent suppressor on, actually 7 of them on." Mikhail steps back and Damon moves over to the next soldier. He was wearing black cargo pants and a long sleeve black shirt. He had lomg red hair and a pair of blue headphones on that were so loud you can here his music, dubstep, which Damon listens too often. On his face he was wearing goggles with the lenses tinted purple to resemble one of the Kaikrussian colors of the hunter. He was grey, like all Kaikrussians and was rocking his head to the beat. "Alright, tech expert Drae Makoro." Drae didn't answer. "I said, Drae Makoro!" Drae looked at Damon and quickly stepped forward.
"Commander, sorry I just can't stop listening to music." Drae said.
"Well soldier, at least link your headphones to your tac-comm during the mission."
"Yes sir Commander, I can hack anything that has a circuit in it."
"That's all I need from you." Drae steps back and Damon continues down the row. "Alright, team sniper, Karolina Makoro," Damon looks over at Drae,"your his sister?" She stepped forward and was wearing a black tanktop and black cargo shorts. She had long black hair that covered one eye and was a total beauty.
"Commander." She said, saluting him, she puts her hand down and steps back. Damon continue to move down the list.
"Medic Cynthia Blanth." She steps forward but doesn't say anything. She was wearing the same clothes as Karolina. She had long white hair that stopped at her shoulders. She steps back for Damon to continue. "Not really a talker." Damon walks to the last person on the list. "That's odd, this doesn't say you are a hunter." He steps forward with a nervous look on his face.
"Private Finn McCalling Commander." He was wearing normal soldiers clothes, full armor and all, "My CO got me put on this mission."
"So the regulars are trying to keep an eye on their dogs huh." Damon said Jokingly.
"Its not like that sir, my CO just hopes this will turn me into a soldier."
"Whatever, just don't get in the way." Finn steps back and Damon continues on with the briefing. "Alright soldiers today's mission goes like this. One of the Black Echelon super weapon facilities was overrun by Changelings. There is a secret blueprint that was labeled dark matter tank that can whip out an entire town with one shot. The blueprints are labeled in old Kaikrussion though but they have a captured War Mage with them. Knowing those guys, they are tough bastards. They are the only ones who can speak ancient Kaikrussian, and he won't be able to last much longer in torture. Our mission is too mech wing in and silently save the War Mage, take the blueprints and engage the facilities self destruct. Any questions?"
"No sir." shout all but Finn as the briefing ends.
"Then lets suit up, I want armor on in five people, we jump in thirty minutes. Dismissed." Finn walks over to Damon while the others go to change. He looked even more nervous than before.
"Commander what is a mech wing jump?" he asks.
"Well Finn its a mechanical Pegasus wing that you wear on your back, you jump from a high altitude and deploy low close to the ground and it will glide you safely to the ground. Don't worry, I will tell you when to deploy."
"Thanks Commander." Finn says.
"Now go suit up rookie, your wearing hunter armor today." Finn runs off and Damon sits down on a seat, already prepared for the drop.
Around this time the flashback begins to fade as Damon returns to reality. He hears a knocking sound on the door to his room. He stands up to go answer it, forgetting he is not wearing a shirt. "Hi Damon!" Pinkie Pie says aloud, "I was just walking around when I saw this jacket that Rarity was working on and it looks like its for you so I was wondering if you wanted to go see it and ooooohh. Whats up with your arm its all metally." Damon looks down at his arm and then runs out of the room and out of Sugar Cube Corner. Damon passes through all of the ponies walking around town and into the forest.

Damon and Fluttershy talk
Damon wakes up in the middle of the forest he ran into the night before. All he could feel at the moment was anger towards himself. "How could I let myself get caught so easily, I knew I wasn't wearing anything to cover my past." Damon gets up from the tree he was resting on and realizes it was Fluttershy's house, "I guess I was so angry I didn't notice where I was." Damon decided to see if she was home so he knocked on the door. It took a bit but the door opened and Fluttershy was at the door. She looked extremely tired and was in a green night gown, Damon didn't realize how early it was. Her eyes opened a bit more and when she saw Damon with no shirt on her cheeks turned red and she was stiff as a board, Damon could tell she was embarrassed. "Hey Fluttershy,I ended up falling asleep out here and I don't really know my way back to SCC from here, so can you help me out?"
Fluttershy was terrified but she knew that she would have to answer, "Oh.. oh y-y-yes, why don't you come in real fast while I change."
"Why not, wouldn't want you to be showing me around in your gown and it is nice to actually talk to you for a change." Damon steps into the tree house and sees sleeping animals everywhere. "Damn its early." Damon sits down on the couch while Fluttershy heads to her room to get changed. It takes about five minutes until Fluttershy comes out of her room wearing the exact same dress from when they first met. She walks over slowly to the couch and sits down next to him.
"I found this old tank top that used to belong to my dad before he left, you can wear it if you like?" She hands Damon the old tank top and Damon puts it on.
"Thanks, now at least you won't be staring at my muscles through this conversation." Fluttershy turns her head away to cover up her embarrassed face.
"Actually, I was looking at your tattoos and right arm. They are beautiful." Damon stares at his arm and then gets a depressed look on his face. Then he looks at Fluttershy, "Can you keep a secret?"
Fluttershy looks back at Damon and she pushes some of her hair back, "I could try."
"Good Enough." Damon takes a deep breath, "I have had an extremely bad life from when I was a kid til now. I come from another country, the Kaikrussian Empire."
"I've heard of the kaikrussian Empire and no ponies usually don't."
"Why is that?"
"I guess it's because the Princess wanted Equestria to forget and forgive the war Kaikrussia started."
"Of course. Anyway, if you know about Kaikrussia then you know about its rise and the Hunters?"
"Yes of course I do."
"I'm a Hunter born of the Draconus family. That means I'm related to the man who started the Kaikrussian-Equestrian war. That means I am a spawn of a demon." Damon leans back on the couch to make himself comfortable. "That means that my life was nothing but a living hell." Fluttershy gets up for a second and heads to the kitchen, within five minutes she comes back with two tea cups.
"I brought you some tea." Fluttershy hands Damon the cup and Damon takes a small sip from it.
"Thanks, anyway, my father always went on on how much I will change Kaikrussia and the Hunters will no longer be hated. You would like him."
"Where is he now?"
"He died when I was nine, my brother betrayed us and let in Changelings to kill us. My brother left with them and I survived." Damon flashes another depressed look as he stands up to finish his story. "Then I was kidnapped hoping I would cooperate and when I resisted at the age of 14 I went through 2 full years of torture and then when I was 16, forced to lead all Hunters in the military. I left when I turned 18." Damon started to let the anger inside him grow and he crushed the teacup in his hand. "They take away your fucking future and rub it in your face!" Damon looks at Fluttershy and sees a scared expression across her face. "I'm sorry about that." Damon said.
Fluttershy gets up from the couch and slowly walks closer to Damon, "Is that the reason why you came here?"
"I came here to start a new life, I never had any of this, a home, freedom, friends to share it with, or in my case soon to be friends." Fluttershy moves a little closer to Damon while he said that.
"Am I one of your friends?" she aked
"Well technically now you are since this is the only time we really talked." Damon realizes that saying that for once made him happy that he never wanted to have their friendship taken away, "We are friends. Come on lets go." Damon heads out the door and Fluttershy follows.
"Where are we going?" Fluttershy says as they head to Ponyville.
"I'm going to make friends with the ponies that I never got a chance to know, first we are heading to Rarity's"
"I don't get it, who else do we need to see besides Rarity, Rainbow Dash, I already know Applejack enough from working with her, and Pinkie Pie I mean come on, I live with her." Damon keeps walking until he gets to Rarity's place. He takes a deep breath and walks through the door saying, "Rarity, find me something to wear." Literally Rarity was finding him clothes faster than he thought she would. The only thing that caught Damon's eyes was a black jacket that was made from silk and cotton, mainly because that was the only thing that didn't look stupid on him. Then when he walked out before he knew it he ran into Rainbow Dash, who was training for the Wonderbolts. Damon walked up to her and decided to have a workout contest to see who can do the most pullups on a tree, Damon won that one of course but after he left he turned around and saw a smile on her face. He looked over at Fluttershy and she was smiling, the feeling it gave him felt weird, but good. Then he looked at Sugar Cube Corner and said, "Now it's time to apologize to Pinkie." as he walked into SCC.
