Lady Rarity - A poem by Spike
I had fun writing this. Enjoy and have a laugh. It will help if you read it with Spike's voice in your head.
Life is simple for a dragon like me,
but I like it that way.
I can do what I want, do it freely,
and say what I want to say.
I have no complaints, no quarrels, and no need to whine,
because my job is just peachy; Everything's fine.
I just have to write and fetch Twilight's books
while I try and soothe her tired, yet grateful looks.
It's nice to feel wanted; Better to feel needed.
I'm not made a slave, and my word is always heeded...
Except for when I do not speak.
It's so hard to say it, because my knees always become weak:
Rarity, that pony, she's quite a deal;
She's every dream I've ever had, but better, and she's very real.
She has no clue how easy it is to drive me insane
as she tosses that voluptuous, violet mane.
It's almost disgusting how the lady never knows
what's going through my head as I follow her everywhere she goes.
She doesn't seem to notice when I openly gawk
at her shifting, lifting flank... as I watch it walk by.
It's even more disgusting how I never, ever learn
to look away to something else when that mare begins to turn;
I know I'm gonna stutter, and I can't do anything about it,
but that duckface of hers... Oh, I can't live without it!
She looks right at me, and what I see, I like.
She blinks once, twice, and thrice, followed by a "Yes, Spike?"
Two words alone come with momentum from her lips
with such frustrating allure that I'm weak below the hips.
What do I do now? What do I say?
How do I stop my breath from going away
at the sight of Equestria's most captivating mare?
Owlicious had better stay away, 'cause I'm not gonna share.
She flaunts,
she taunts,
but she doesn't seem to know it
when I gawk
and can't talk
and I'm trying not to show it;
I'm practically posessed and I can't look away,
but it's so bucking awkward, having nothing to say.
She's the peak of generosity,
surely the epitome
of beauty.
She's the climax of fabulosity,
but still it's an atrocity
when she's got to be so snooty, but - WAIT!
I've got to go now; Miss Rarity is coming
and I'd hate
to be late
to miss the Siren's Call humming.
I'm not entirely sure of this qualifies as a story, but I thought it was neat. :D
