In the year 2416, humanity achieves something we've only been able to fantasize about for our thousands of years of existence - alien life. But it seems not everyone can go there.

It's the year 2416 and I'm just starting my second semester as a college freshman. The human race has apparently answered the question that has plagued even the best scientists, prophets, and philosophers for the entirety of our existence - Is there intelligent life out somewhere in space? The answer? Yes. But, for some reason, not everyone can interact with them. Unfortunately for me and the rest of the planet, I'm one of the few who can.
