"Five more minutes" you say burying your face into your pillow.
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
Your eyes shoot open as you finally realize what that sound is, you wave your hoof at your nightstand in an attempt to hit the snooze button on your alarm clock but you missed by a mile.
You let a sigh into your pillow and try again, same results, at this point you would be fine with killing your alarm clock. You try again this time changing your approach, you extend your wing left and bring it down upon the source of the infuriating sound, making a connection with the small metal torture device then finally... silence.
You roll your self to one side and fall strait off your bed with an audible thump, a small groan later, you lift yourself onto your hooves and open your bedroom door, walk out, and carelessly shut the door behind and begin your zombie shuffle toward the kitchen. (A/N: a thing we've all done)
You grab an empty plastic cup from off the counter and pour some water into it, taking a seat on a nearby wooden stool. you take a idly stare into your cup swirling the liquid inside around when you look up from the cup placed in your hooves and notice the rest of your house.
Everywhere you see confetti, popped balloons and bits of food strewn around the place. You release a deep sigh and -without hesitation- splash the contents of you cup onto your face, allowing you wet mane to freely fall across you face.
With a sudden vigorous shake you remove all the water from you body, Re-puff your mane then let out a a small sigh.
You hop off the stool and walk toward the door grabbing your hoodie on the coat hanger on you way out, you quickly throw it on, zip it up (you also roll up the sleeves) and rush out into the crisp morning air.
You you begin a charge towards town, quickly building up speed, slowly you Spread you wings, instantly your greeted with the familiar feeling of weightlessness, with a quick angle adjustment of your outstretched wings you're airborne (you only stay a good four feet off the ground however). In no time you're in town flying past the empty stalls and early risers, each giving you a quick greeting as you pass by them.
On the way to your destination you notice that you're nearing the pet store, you slow down so you can get a better look.
You stop directly in front the the yellow building, examining a wooden sign out front that says in fancy print "Pet Store" Underneath that there is a small sign that says "closed".
You walk towards the Pet store, Pressing your hooves and face against the glass. Inside you see the few week old puppies, German Shepard's if you're not mistaken. Your eyes dart from puppy to puppy looking for just one. Some people say that they look the same but you know exactly with one your looking for.
The smallest puppy looks away from it's rowdy brothers and sisters notices you and clumsily walks toward the glass.
"There you are" you say fogging up the glass as you do so.
The small dog sits down a few inches from the window, Gives a big yawn then stares up at you with its big gray eyes. you lower you body ,dragging you face on the glass as you do so, to get a better look at him.
"Hey there little guy" you say even though it probably can't hear you though the glass.
It cocks its head to one side, you do as well to annoy the small thing. Playfully it jumps up against the glass letting its long tongue fall out of it's mouth as it starts barking at you. You let out a small chuckle at the little puppy's antics. Suddenly you begin to notice a... feeling, the feeling of being watched, you quickly spin around, you glace from alley to alley, nothing, then you look up (Consider it Pegasus instinct) all you see are clouds, however a coloured figure ducking behind a cloud catches your eye.
You spend a few moments looking at that very cloud, finally after nothing interesting happens you shrug and turn back to the window. You look over the right of the display and glance at the price sign, it reads: "300 Bits per puppy". You stare at this sign with a face of displeasure.
You look back to the dog still looking at you with a face of a pure joy, you can't but smile at this dogs undying happiness. You put you hooves against the glass in front of the pup letting it slowly slide down.
"Bye bye doggy" you say as you turn to look down the street and gallop forward.
-----ten minutes later------
You stop in front of quill and sofa shop, noting the help wanted sign and the open sign. You give yourself a moment to catch your breath and calm you nerves.
"How hard can this be" you mutter under your gasping.
You get the feeling you're being watched once again, you look around, glancing at the small groups of ponies wandering the streets of PonyVille. There seems to be nothing out of the ordinary, remembering "the cloud" you look up into the sky, you notice a cloud straying from the others, You stare at it with a genuine curiosity. Suddenly as if it noticed you staring is began moving faster, quickly moving out of sight behind the quill and sofa shop. You shrug at the unusual sight and turn back to the task (literally) ahead of you.
"Well... here goes nothing" you say as you slowly walk toward the door, pull it open, then trot inside.
You glance around at the warm colored room, a brown old-fashioned pony at the desk glances up from his paperwork and looks to you.
"Hello sir, how may I help this fine morning. Perhaps you would like to look at our large assortments of sofa's, I would offer you a quill but we seem out of them at the moment".
"actually I'm here for th---" but before you can finish your sentence he grabs you by the hood and eyes you up and down.
"what am I saying of course you're here for the sofa's" he says with much enthusiasm as he pulls you towards his current stock.
"here are our latest sofa's" he says gesturing to a plain sofa with a boring pattern.
"I uh---"
"But you look like a stallion with class" you says as he pulls you along to another display.
"these are our modern style sofa's" he says pointing out a smaller but more colourful sofa.
"I'm not here for a so---" Once again the brown coloured store owner whisks you to another part of his store.
"I didn't want to do this lad but your a tough stallion to please" he says as he plops you down in front of a very fancy looking sofa.
"this" he starts "is the Comfornator 5000, complete with recliners, leather upholstery and comfort foam" you says gesturing you various parts of the chair and prodding it with a hoof "used by the royalty of Canterlot themselves" you must admit: it was cool lookin'.
"so what do you think" he says looking back you with a shimmer of pride in his eyes.
"I--"
"Well? spit it out lad!" he says cutting you off once again.
"umm, I'm no--"
"I ain't got all day, I'm starting to think you don't want a sofa"
"THAT'S BE CAUSE A DON'T!" you shout, finally the getting pony's attention.
"Err" the starts the stallion a little startled and taken of guard "why are you here then?" he says cocking his head to one side.
"I'm here for the job interview" you say pointing a hoof towards the "help wanted" sign in his window.
"Well why didn't you just say so!" he says perking up once more.
You can't help but face hoof.
