Epilogue

King Ghidorah and Rodan returned to the castle without issue. Trixie had minimal injuries, and was treated in the Royal Infirmary. Trixie and Derpy both received medals of the highest honor for their service, and were awarded living quarters in Canterlot Castle. Gatling Gale was awarded posthumously, but had no next of kin for any compensation to be sent to.

Celestia was impressed by Ghidorah's performance. He had saved them all, and she was surprised to discover he had opted to remain in Equestria when the wormhole had been opened. As reward for his services, Celestia had done the unthinkable, something that would be considered foolish by most - she trusted him. And so, she returned his powers to him permanently, as well as the size-shifting power she had given Rodan as a bonus.

A week later, Ghidorah stood on the balcony, looking out over Equestria. Luna and Celestia approached him from behind, smiling. "So, is it finally over?" Luna asked.

Ghidorah shook his three heads. "There is no way to stop the rifts in the fabric of space-time from appearing. As long as the humans on the other side continue using their weapon, more kaiju will enter into Equestria. And perhaps other things as well," he said.

Rodan landed next to them, smirking. "Well, guess we'll just hafta deal with them as they come, huh?"

Biollante's avatar appeared next. "We will all be ready when the time comes," she said.

Celestia looked at Ghidorah and smiled. "I'm sure we will. We are in safe keeping," she said.

Ghidorah turned to Celestia.

And for the first time in the entirety of the three-headed dragon's life, King Ghidorah smiled back.
