How the 6 got their pets!

"I am hiiiiiiighhh!!!!! Hey, Mr and Mrsssss Cake!! How high are you?! No, I meant 'Hi, how are you?', GET IT?!!!!! AHHHHHAAHAHAHHA!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!" Pinkie Pie jumped around the inside of her room in the bakery/confectionary store while holding two Mr and Mrs Cake dolls. She squashed them together, making them kiss. The still laughing pony laughed even louder until she had to let go of the dolls to clutch her stomach, which was aching. Cause? Laughter. Suddenly...."PINKIE PIE!!! COME DOWN RIGHT THIS INSTANT!" a voice boomed from the main room, where everypony could see ouside the glass windows. As the energetic mare jumped down a whole flight of stairs(well, she is Pinkie!), Mrs Cake was standing on the floor, frowning at their main baker. "Where have you been? Your friends are here, waiting for you to come down and have breakfast with them!" And sure enough, Applejack, Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity and Twilight were already there, smiling at her.

"HEY GUYS!!" Pinkie enveloped all of her five friends into a tight hug, which soon made them out of breath. Finally, she put them down, to the ponies' relief. "Why are you all here? Breakfast meeting does not start 'till six forty-five in the morning!"

Rainbow Dash and Applejack stuttered, Fluttershy kept silent and Rarity gave her a bemused look. Twilight, however, got straight to the point and said,"Pinkie, we were just thinking about getting you a pet. You know, to entertain you? And you forgot today is your birthday, and we didn't know which animal you like, seeing as...you love...many....?" The blossom mare stared at her, then gave the widest, toothiest grin ever to be seen in Equestria. She hugged them once more, then screamed(yes,SCREAMED),"BEST GIFT EVAAAAAR!!!!! THANKS YOU FRIENNNNNNNNDSSSS!!!" She knocked them down and hopped everywhere at supersonic speed, then abruptly stopped. "Llllllet's gooooooo!!!!!" Her voice trailed away as she opened the front door and galloped out at a speed only a thousand Rainbow Dashes could have done. The others, save for RD, were stunned at such agility. The cyan mare called out,"Nice! I have to train more!" Bending her wings, she darted off to keep up with Pinkie.

The remaining four didn't run after them. Instead, Twilight willed them to teleport while thinking,"Pinkie." They vanished from sight in a flash and appeared by the hyper pony's side. The pink mare stopped when she realised her friends. "Well, you appeared out of nowhere! Don't scare me, guys!" They panted and led Pinkie to the petshop before she ran away.

"Well, this is it, Pinkie. You were going in the wrong direction!" Pinkie chuckled at her mistake and ran into the shop. Inside there were hundreds and hundreds of animals, all of different types. All attracted Pinkie. But none was more attractive than a small green alligator with big purple eyes. It stared into nothingness. The party pony squealed. She tapped Twilight on her head and pointed excited;y to her soon-to-be pet. The lavender mare widened her pupils, then trotted to the counter, looking back at her friend strangely. The shop owner unlocked the cage and was going to put the alligator in a bag when the party maniac seized it from his hoofs. "Heh heh...." she chuckled nervously as the stallion frowned at her disapprovingly.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAYY!!!! I GOT A NEW PET, I GOT A NEW PET, EVERYONE CELEBRATE I GOOOOOT AAAAA NEWWWWWW PEEEEEEETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Pinkie Pie sang, or rather, screamed, loudly. Her ears perked up. "That's it!!! A party!" As she ran to Sugarcube Corner to prepare for her 'I got a new pet!' party, Rarity blocked her way with her hoof. Pinkie came to a screeching halt, then cried out," Hey!" The unicorn paid her no heed as her horn lit up, her eyes closed. The other five couldn't see what she was doing, but they knew it had to do with the party. After a few minutes, the marshmallow pony opened her eyes, magic vapor fading away. Suddenly, she exclaimed," Let's go to the party, dears!"

When they went inside the sweetshop, the ponies, save for Rarity, gasped in amazement. The latter beamed proudly at her work. Pinkie hugged Rarity, then carried her pet to the dance studio. Suddenly, her lower jaw dropped. "A name! I like gummy candies! That's it! Gummy!" Her friends looked at her awkwardly, then laughed. She was just being Pinkie!
