There I stood, on a pedastal, next to my brother, Nightwalker. I stood to his right, and his mare friend, or as he called her, his lover. Stood on his left. "Mares and gentlecolts!" He shouted, "we are gathered here, in unision, to rally ourselves, and become the greatest army in all of Equestria! Tonight, we will fight for our brothers and sisters, for each other, and for our pride!" The army cheered, hooves being stomped in unision, "hurrah's" flying though the crowd. "Now, my brother is going to cover some strategies, I want everypony to listen CAREFULLY!"
I stepped up to the platform, clearing my throat. The whole crowd was silent as a opened my mouth to speak. "I have read the scouts reports" I said, "of what they tell me, this army has a weakness to flanking troops, which means I will take a select group of worriors into the forest left of the feild! And I need volenteers to go." A rumble of conversation erupted, and about a combination of stallions and mares appraoched. And I raised a hoof. "This will be enough, thank you." My brother stepped back up to the pedestal, and resumed to talk about where we would arrange everypony.
My small troop consisted of about fifteen ponies. Five pegasi, seven unicorns, and three earth ponies, as well as one alicorn, myself. I looked in my mirror, my black armor shimmered like water, and my purple mane flowed beutifully. I stepped out of my tent and adressed the worriors who'd volenteered to help me. I folded my winds and looked at them slowly. "Do you all understand the importance of this mission?" I asked, keeping my eyes scanning them. "Yes, sir!" They all replied, although one stallion gave me a frightened look.
I approached the stallion, and he looked away quickly. "You look new, are you a recruit?" I asked, giving him a sceptical look. "Y-yes, sir... I just.... this army is..... rather small, and their army is.... quite large." I laughed and rubbed his mane. "Please, boy, we have fought armies this big before, even larger at times!" I took a step back, and looked over them again. The recriut looked much more confident. I pointed my hoof to the path leading to the forest, and we ventured in, waiting for the sounds of war to ring out .
As we walked, one of the scouts who'd come flew down, and leaned in close. "Sir?" He said, "what is it?" I asked, "we've detected movement near the forest line" "we can take a few lowsy footsoldiers to stop us." "As you command, sir." She flew back up and we continued on. As we walked, and set up to wait for the signal, there was movement in the bushes. I turned an pushed the bush open, all I saw was a medium sized rock. When all of the sudden, I was hearing thuds and whizzing noises. I looked behind me, all of my soldiers were dead.
When I scrambled to see if anyone was remotely alive, several earth poines hopped from the trees, wielding bows and scowls on thier faces. I drew my sord, my horn surrounding it in a dark purple shimmer of magic. They each drew an arrow, rather quickly, and as this all was happeneing, my ears caught the faint sounds of clanking metal, which meant the war has started. The stallions kept the bows drawn. "You are surrounded, you foul discrace!" Yelled one of them.
They zeroed in on me, and one shoved me to the ground, pushing my face into the dirt, then picking me back up, and holding me back. As he held me, I felt somewhat weaker. I tried to cast a spell, but my horn just sputtered and poped, then a new voice erupted. "How do you like our magic disrupting enchantments?" It was female, and smoothe. I looked up to see who it was. It was my brother's mare friend, strongheart. "Wh-why?" I asked, giving her a look of betrayal.
She smirked, and leaned in close. "Please, your brother was simply a peeve of mine, the stallion made me angry every time he talked. I've been there just to find all of your strategies, learn your weaknesses, the works. But it really does break my poor little heart to have to kill you, I was content with your exsistance, in fact, how would you like to join me?" She placed a hoof under my chin, and lifted it, making me look her in the eyes, her dark blue coat shimmered, her white mane flowed like water. I did my best to ignore her looks.
I spat on her cheek. "You wretch! He treated you like a godess! And this is how you repay him!?!?" I was outraged. She wiped my saliva from her cheek, and looked at me angrily. "You DARE talk to me like that?" She sounded angrier than I did. "Take him to watch his bother! I want him to be scarred!" "Yes ma'am!" Shouted the stallion. He forced me out onto the battlefeild, and what I saw mortified me. Bodies of our soldiers lay on the ground all over the place.
They escorted me to thier general's tent, pushing me in and causing me to stumble. I stood straight and looked around the tent. My brother was tied up in the corner, he was gagged and trying to say something. I Removed the gag, and looked at him. "She's a tr-" I silened him and gave him an "I know" look. As I stood once again, I looked around more, looking for this general. He entered the room, he has a scar on his chest, and an odd hole in his left forehoof. He looked at me and motioned for me to sit, but I stood there giving him a hard look. He smiled, and statred to speak. His voice was grvely and buttery, it was odd.
"It's nice to meet the Allied Forces' commanding officers." He said in a casual voice, as if this wee some kind of office meeting. It took all I had to keep me from trying to tear him apart. "Magic will not work while you are in my quarters, so don't think about it." He said, smirking. "So, how would you like for us to put on a wonderful show?" He saked, smashing both of his hooves on the desk, and in walked four unicorns escorting my brother out of the room, and he motioned for me to follow.
We were led to the center of their camp. The entire enemy army was all gathered around in a circle, looking eagarly. And before i knew it, the same earthpony was holding me, and that's when it hit me, they were going to make me watch him die. I struggled against the stallions strength, fighting back, but he was far too strong. The unicorns were on four sides of my brother, each about ten feet away from him. Their horns started to glow, surrounding each of his limbs, I realized how they were goin to kill him, and the stallion had pushed me close and given me front row seats.
As Nightwalker was being pulled on, slowly. I began to tear up, fighting hard to break loose of this stallions grip, to save him, but I knew now it was tool late. My brother screamed, his limbs began to disconnect from his body. Blood sprayed across the circle, the entirity of the army was cheering, and I was crying as the blood splattered across my face. When at last, the final snapping noise has shown the bone had broken, and his unmoving torso fell to the ground with a loud thump.
Strongheart walked up to me, a smile on her face. I finally broke the stallion grasp, and punched her hard, then decided she needed more. So I continued to punch her, a third time, fourth, fith, sixth. Her face was bloody, she was no longer smileing as I was pulled away again. She stumbled to her feel and wiped blood from her nose. "Remove the wings" she said, for one last time, smiling. She turned sompletely to me, as two unciorns took hold of my wings, and brough a sword down on my left one. I threw my head back as the searing pain hit me, and let out a scream. The sword came down on my other one, and the tears fell, in a combination of pain and sadness.
I was dropped, the enemy army cleared the battlefield in a matter of three hours, and i was felt there, bleeding and crying, wishing my own revenge.
It's been three years since then, my stubs left of my wings still hurt, and my heart is still borken, but i've worked up the nerve to ask Celestia to allow to bury my brother's corpse, till then, I kept it frozen and preserved. I stepped into the massive throne room, the princess loking down on me, almost glaring, but she hid it well. "Speak" she said, still looking at me. "Princess...." I started "I would like to request to bury my brother's remains, here, in his homeland." I almost cringed at her response. "NO i'm afraid that cannot happen, your army had brought much suffering to this nation, and we will not give you any bypass."
"If that is how it will be." I strated, but before in knew it, the unicorn Twilight entered the room, accompanied by her five friends, Celestia motioned for them to sit, then looked at me again. "Please" I pleaded, looking at her with teary eyes. She retuened a hard look. "If... this is how it will be" I said, getting angry. "Consider me suceeded from your "nation" here, which means you won't be seeing me at your "festivals" and all that bunch of horseapples." Twilight leaned to the princess, and I heard whispering, her freinds all noded, as if agreeing on something.
"Twilight has convinced me with is treason" she said "are you sure you want to-" I interrupted her. "YES I WANT TO DO IT YOU WORN OUT LITTLE-" eveything wnet white, and that's the last that I rememebered.
