A Party No One Will Want to Miss

A rather small changeling with stunted wings walked into the large throne room in front of her. "Y-Y-Yes, my queen?"

The queen of the changelings turned to look her way. "Well, 309678, you know that you have been deemed worthless by many others because of your growth, but I have found a job for you."

With head still down, 309678 became slightly hopefull. She had always been kicked around and discarded by others. "What would you have me do?"

"There is a town around the outskirts of our hive. We convinced one of the ponies there to leave." Queen Chrysalis smirked dangerously. "Since you will obviously not amount to anything here, I suggest you take her place."

Now 309678 was utterly joyful. Having the rarely given job of replacing a pony to spy? That was a rare occurance. The queen usually never gave out these kind of jobs! If 309678 had been a little older, she would have known to be cautious. Since she wasn't, she merely thought it meant she was special. "Thank you, my queen!"

"Yes, yes, of course," Queen Chrysalis raised her hoof, "You have untill the day ends to prepare. I would take anything that you like that doesn't raise suspision. Now go!"

With a last thank-you, 309678 half ran, half flew out of the the throne room.
