Spike The Lonely Draconic Miner
Glimpse
Previous ChapterNext ChapterShe tried to fight the hound's combined grip, the paws keeping her away from her beloved dragon. The two dogs held her by the forelegs outside the room. But no matter how hard she tried to escape, to reach the scaled miracle she called Spike. All her efforts just proved to bare no means of escape. Exhausted, mainly from roaming the countryside for four years, she fell asleep.
She opened her eyes, hoping to see a dragon's face looking at her sleeping form. But instead, she saw only clouds. Thunder clouds with super-charged electricity rippling though the surface. She couldn't feel her legs, she couldn't feel any part of her body. But, she still could see with ease.
The clouds shifted, revealing a large grassy field with a hill in the center. A small figure, from her point of view, appeared to be standing on the mound of dirt that's called a hill.
Upon closer inspection, she saw all the black dots on the field. Surrounding the tiny figure. It was those black ones, the tall ones. She knew that this person, this poor person, was condemned to death. These devils were about to kill this being. Anything that fights Black ones dies.
Chiiiiiiii
The thunder clouds crackled with a vengeance, preparing to fire a burst of lighting.
She started to hear a sound. It sounded as if it was far away and desperately trying to get her attention. Alongside the distant sound, something was touching her non-existent body.
"Rari" That's all her ears could make out for the sound, she shook her 'head' to dismiss the noise.
"Rariee" The sound persisted, becoming louder.
"Rarity!" The sound became clear and loud. She felt the touch spread across her body. Where ever it touched, her body appeared. Finally, when it consumed her head, she opened for eyes.
She felt herself moving the moment she awoke, the second thing was a hoof shaking her.
"Sister," The voice strangely sounded as if it was a melody sung from a goddess, "We're almost there, dear sister."
The tired mare raised her head to the source of whatever was transmitting the sound. It was a pony, a mare nonetheless. She had a beautiful white coat with stunning harlequin eyes. A mare that could enrapture and be loved by any being, alive or dead.
Rarity also noticed something. It was one of those tattoos Spike had. It was located above her right eye and it looked beautiful The ink marking was small as well, far to small for Rarity to make out clearly.
The unknown mare grinned at her beaten, dirty face. Rarity's looks feel gradually throughout her stay in the wild. Many ponies opted to go wild when their cites fell. She was one of many to endure the same fate. She, like the other Element Bearers, went with the princesses, as did the remaining guards. They lost the Elements in the fall of Canterlot. Taken. They were out to retrieve them and banish the darkness.
The Seamstress took a harder look at the unidentified mare. Her overall beauty almost it impossible to look away.
"What's the matter, Rarity?" The pony said, "Don't recognize Sweetie Belle?" Rarity found both of her front hooves and raised her upper half. Placed in front of her, was an older Sweetie Belle. She looked so different from what Rarity saw three years past.
The elder sister's hooves pushed themselves up into an standing position. She looked, stared at Sweetie Belle. Rarity just didn't know what to say. Like many other young fillies and foals, she was taken in the cover of night. Stolen by the black ones with hearts as black as their skin.
Before the older unicorn could utter words. Sweetie Belle reached behind herself and grabbed something with her hoof. The sound of glass bottles could he heard before she retracted her appendage. A potion was balanced on her hoof. It was a mixture of colors. But it was mostly a clear liquid that almost seemed...alive.
"Spike said you should drink this when you awoke." Sweetie offered the beverage that seemed to have came out of Zecora's hut. Rarity reached out with her hoof and took the drink from her sister. She swirled it around in it's glass prison. "He said to take a sip. It's mostly water." The younger sister informed Rarity. Ponyville's best seamstress raised the bottle up to her mouth and poured a small portion of it down her dry throat.
The effects were instantaneous. Her vision blurred and she lost her hooving on whatever she was standing on and dropped the bottle that smashed. The lady also felt something else too: A heart beat. It moved fast and pounded against the surface she currently laid on. She took this moment to analyze what exactly she was on.
She shifted her head to get a wider view of the flooring. She didn't recognized the surface as anything she'd seen before. It was hard, very hard and smooth. It has a shiny black color, also clean and reflective as well. Rarity looked deeper at the strange and saw something dangling behind her filthy form.
A tail. With a huge stinger located at it's end. Suddenly very confused and scared, she looked at up at Sweetie Belle. Her sister was looking forward, away from her, Rarity scrambled to get back up, but her hooves refused to obey. The stinger was now moving closer to her flesh. She tried to get Sweetie Belle's attention, but even her voice didn't ring out in distress. The stinger moved closer and closer. Like a shark enclosing on it's prey, or in other words, her.
She felt herself lifted back up on her hooves. The tail helped her back up, Her hooves now decided to move and she wrapped herself in a ball in a ladylike manner. She was back in control of her body.
"You've no need to fear Dethi." Sweetie said, giggling at her fear of the huge stinger that now picked up the shattered pieces of the bottle, like a assistant . "He won't hurt you, not at all!" She continued, The tailor's eyes followed down the tail. Seeing more of Dethi's body. Instantly, she stood up in a rigid stance. She was standing a giant scorpion with black, chitinous plates. He saw each one had scratches on it. Some even were glowing with an strange purple hue.
"Spike orders him to personally escort me though this place. His armies are truly made up of many a race and species." Sweetie pauses momentarily to capture another breath, "Steel sometimes flies me around, or even Spike. But I could order many of the winged creatures Spike has under his banner to carry me to even the end of the world." She stopped.
Rarity observed her surroundings for the first time. She spotted dozens of trees, higher than Canterlot itself. She became even more spooked as she saw drones of creatures looking at them from the darkened areas. The gathering of all sorts of creatures that ranged to simple Green Skins to bird-like creatures with huge hooks for their arms was horrifying just to look at these beasts.
Rarity found herself backing further back from the scary, powerful beasts. Nothing was keeping them their, least not something she could see. "Swe..Sweetie, dear.' She reached for her sister, but only find a black space.
"You also have no need to fear those things." Sweetie's voice rang out from another position. Rarity turned around to find she was sitting casually on the tail of the arachnid. Her posture said calm and cool, even though she was literally sitting on death. "They do not want the wrath of Spike." Sweetie, clearly didn't fear these monsters that lurked in the trees.
Rarity was shocked that she could be so unaffected by these...beast's hungry looks. "Sweetie, we have to go. Now!" Rarity shouted at the calm mare, desperately trying to get her to understand the threat.
Sweetie Belle, still unjested by the mean spawns, spoke. "And, what? Leave Steve here by himself?"
