//-------------------------------------------------------// Dalek Chagrin, Newfound thoughts -by Iridescence T Wind- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Emergency Temporal Shift //-------------------------------------------------------// Emergency Temporal Shift "You told us to imagine and we imagined your irrelevance. " Dalek Thay =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= How to describe my being. I am a Dalek of the Cult of Skaro would be a start. No I am not Sec, Thay, Caan, or even Jast. I am the little known fifth member of the Cult of Skaro, what I used to consider insignificant and the least of my brothers in role and tactic. I am Dalek Chagrin, it means Sorrow, which is all I seem to be to my Dalek brothers anyway. Why? I will tell you before I begin my adventure I will explain why I am named so. First of all I am not a Slaughterer, Murderer, or Exterminator like the other Daleks. I am the reverse in that sense. My role is not to destroy but to build the machines my brothers have used. We can't just give the blueprints to technology to the humans who sometimes escape the Dalek minions and forces. There would also have to be someone who knows what everything did. Despite popular belief, Daleks aren't Omni sentient. Otherwise we would not have ended up with a Cult of Skaro to begin with. Daleks also tend to see their society, how should I put this, as the man who wields the sword and uses it is greater than the man who builds the sword. In an earth equivalent; you hear all about King Arthur and his sword Excalibur; but never about the man who built it or stuck it in a rock to begin with. Society for the Dalek race is like that, amplified by seven point nine two three in threshold. Now I will explain a bit about my Dalek brother’s suits. The Daleks have long since lost humanoid shape and form. Evolving through genetic manipulation and now we are of the, to quote Dravos our creator, 'Mutated Daleks'. Our form is that of a one eye squid with a deformed face of a human being. We are not exactly the most mobile of species as a result. Instead we focus primarily on our suits. This is where that sword bit from earlier comes in; Daleks live in their specially built suits made of to quote our archives, 'Dalekanium'. Well most were, Dalek Sec used to use a stronger version but extremely rare metal called...sigh...Metalert... My race was not the most creative in naming new materials to be quite clear... Most suits were built with 'Dalek Bumps' that contained technology that could both shield the Dalek suit and its' Dalek within and increase the power of our weapon systems. There are fifty six of these bumps located on every Dalek except for the specially built ones whose shapes are radically different. Each bump can hold various things. The standard Dalek chooses a Sensor array that doubles as a shield generator if needed or a amplification in our lasers. I in contrast hold various tools for construction in all but my lowest row of Dalek Bumps. The rest of them are...Standard except for two pieces of experimental technology I had yet to refine from their current state. An Emergency Temporal shift. It is how I arrived to where I am at, and how I am still alive rather than a piece of scrap metal for the Doctor or a new weapon for him as I dragged Sec's Suit with me to this...Bright cheery place. Now for the actual story. This is a concept Daleks aren't used to. But here I, Dalek Chagrin, go... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= First I will recollect the past two hundred seventeen minutes and thirteen minutes for those of you who were wondering where the bloody 'ell I was during the destruction of every Dalek but me and Caan. It had been exactly two hundred seventeen minutes and thirteen seconds since Dalek Sec had become the first Dalek Human. I was elsewhere overseeing the final internal steps that the new Daleks would need. Unable to be above ground without freaking the native 'pests' (as Dalek Thay called them) before it was time. I was also unable to work on the main basement floor from my standings among my fellow family of the Skaro cult.  It had been exactly one hundred and twelve minutes when I had received and stored Dalek Secs' Metalert covered Dalek Traveling Device in a storage 'Dalek Bump' meant for such storage. You could say I was the pack mule of the group in that regard. I had carried most of the strange resources used for the operation since we had left Skaro all those years ago. Despite the massive loss of resources my readings still read exactly fifty percent full rounded up to the nearest tenth of a decimal. Exactly twenty minutes ago I went to retrieve the Dalekanium plates from the top of the humans’ empire state building, their job done from there and ready to be returned to Dalek Jasts' suit. It was less than ten minutes ago that Dalek Sec was betrayed by Dalek Thay and Jast. I was shocked but did not voice my complaints in case it deemed them worthy to exterminate me, Dalek Chagrin. Now in present time, Dalek Sec was joined in death by his Exterminators. Dalek Thay and Jast. The Dalek-humans had revolted with unforeseen Time lord DNA. Dalek Caan activated a kill switch he had forced me to install in every body that was now against him. Killing all of the Dalek-Time lord-Humans within a star system in the process. The Doctor had tried to say something to Dalek Caan but Dalek Caan had muted his Audio input display preventing both me and him listening in. I was back in the lab watching the encounter. Dalek Caan barked an order, "Activate Emergency Temporal Shift!" The last thing I saw before Dalek Caan's connection was lost from the differences in time was the doctor reaching out to no doubt kill Dalek Caan. The directive was given by the highest up Dalek of the cult of Skaro, Dalek Caan. I collected what little Dalek technology there was left of the lab and prepared to activate my own E.T.S. in turn. They weren't called those for nothing. It was an experimental technology warping the user or a small group to a random point in space and time. There were three uses before a new one would have to be used. I had used my first charge causing the Cult of Skaro to escape the 'Time War' that was going on that had destroyed both the Daleks and the Time Lords. My second was escaping the building named Torch wood with the rest of the Cult as I had been near them the entire time in cloak. Quickly my E.T.S. gained power and I activated it vanishing into the streams of Time and space flying at random through it uncontrollably. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Meanwhile in the magical land of Equestria. . . "Alright Twilight, I think this is the right spell book!" Spike stated from his perch on top of a bookshelf, the ladder long since discarded after the baby dragon had simply started walking along the top dusting off books and checking them, He held up a black book with a faded cover which quickly got taken up in a magical grip that dragged spike off and into the floor as Twilight absent mindedly went through books left and right. "You sure this time it is the spell to find lost items?" "No idea, you’re the unicorn not me. It looked magical though." Quickly Twilight scanned over the cover noticing only a faded hourglass on the cover before spinning through the pages of the book shaking her head rapidly in negatives before stopping suddenly, two thirds of the way in the book, “How to summon displaced matter from time and space to your plane?" she made a look of consideration going over the instructions. "Alright here goes nothing." Twilight shut the book and her horn began to glow. After a minute of strain Twilight's horn stopped glowing. "Uh nothing happened..." Spike stated. "maybe this spell doesn’t work...?" Spike sat down on his basket before raising an eyebrow at a rough lump in it. He pulled out a book from his basket, "What is this doing in here?" Twilight trotted over to spike, taking the cover and reading it, "Ah fire magic one-oh-one. A reference guide." Spike stared at the mess that was the library of books, "So your telling me, we yanked every book out of its shelf, completely swept the place twice and now have to reshelf all these books even though the book somehow ended up in my basket to begin with?" Twilight buried her face into her hoof, "Guess it’s an early reshelving day." =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Something was wrong, The flow of time and space was acting strange, it had turned purple and a rip had opened in front of me. Was this the doctors doing? No, there would be a Tardis and I would hear the doctors’ smug voice as he got rid of me if it was. This was something different. The edges of the rip reminded me of a cartoon, unable to avoid it and forced to go in as the stream launched me through the void and into another stream of time and space. A few moments later I came out of the flow of time and space eye-stalk first into a cloud. I do not know what impressed me more at that point. That I was still alive, or that the cloud was somehow holding my weight up without my own aide. I wouldn't call my suit fat or anything like that but an average Dalek suit was heavy, mine heavier with the amount of tools crammed in a majority of my Dalek Bumps. "Elevate." Dalek Chagrin stated into a vocal command input drive on my suit and my suit began to upright itself, hovering into the air above the cloud. Inside his suit, Chagrin fiddled with the various programs and small screens buried within for his time and location. Neither was working, he scanned over the area with his suits optical sensors focusing on sight with a curious look towards the ground. He zoomed in before giving what was a tree a blank stare. It looked like something right out of a human cartoon show. Lack of realistic shading, simplified details, and a lot more solid idealistic colors and a definite lack of texture. He hovered down, curious. The entire world around him was like this. More curious he shot out a Dalek Bump, a Scout probe to be exact to look upon himself. Dalek Chagrin was disappointed, his complex and intricate web work of royal purple lines making a complex maze around his upper half had merged into a solid purple color. His Dalek bumps, pure red instead of a mince work of dark red lines forming skulls surrounded by a sun. At least he matched his environment. Giving a quick scan for mobile life forms he checked the surrounding area for life forms other than plant based within a mile. Satisfied it was safe his probe came close to him and he looked inside his own suit at himself. He still looked disgusting but a lot more child friendly than threatening or disgusting but still very disturbing looking to the bare eye. He shut his suit again. Dalek Chagrin ejected two more Scout probes from his suit and scattered all three in different directions evenly searching out for the nearest populace town, the primary objective was to survive after all. He would require knowledge of this worlds inhabitants and where he was as well as what date it was. It was not long before all three came across towns and cities and scanned out to find each name located plainly on a bill board. Ponyville, Cloudsdale, and Canterlot. He marked each down on a newly generated map as well as the populations listed on each. Withdrawing the drones he considered his options. The lowest population was Cloudsdale but that was situated in the clouds. While he had yet to see an actual citizen of this world, he doubted that all of them could fly if there was land bound cities as well. Canterlot had a strange energy about it and the castle, he would analyze later for the source but something about it simply screamed "Capital city" about it. Which left him with one option, turning south and five degrees west he elevated above the tree line and speed off towards Ponyville for further examination //-------------------------------------------------------// Ditzy Encounter //-------------------------------------------------------// Ditzy Encounter "Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway." -Herpin Derpin website =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The void between dimensions was not as empty as one would have thought. thousands of millions of Cyber Men had followed that void sphere out of the gap when the Cult of Skaro had first ripped the hole into another dimension. But the Cyber Men and Daleks weren't the only things that lurked in the void. Far from it, When Twilight had casted the spell and accidently as well as unknowingly ripped one being out of a universe, through the void, and into another universe Something had noticed. A creature who looked upon the universes its authors had created with casual glee. His Infernal Majesty, rumored ruler of 'Hell' as they had called the void there, and the one being of whom the Power Puff Girls were unsure of how to defeat had noticed the metal construction plummeting out of one bubble into another within the span of standard earth seconds into the realm of their creators. HIM didn't care, he only wanted to toy with the girls who had given the cosmic deity a challenge compared to the mortals. But out of the corner of his eyes he spotted a Black armored figure follow the Dalek through. The Equestrian lord of Tartarus had taken interest with a being crossing through his portion of the Void. Something that didn't belong to the universe he collected, HIMs interest also quipped, as well as the other 'Rulers of Hell' that lived in the void. HIM took out a cellphone and called Hades, the god of the Hercules Universe's dead and told him the news. Soon a dozen or so of the watchers of the void had assembled to watch The king of Equestrian Tartarus re-enter his own universe and the representation of the underworld to mobilize a pawn to take care of this Infiltrator. The process would take a while to get started but by the time the Dalek would know about this, It would be far too late they knew. Dravos, long dead and promoted from the Reality bomb failing to take place due to Dalek Caan's treachery in another portion of time approached. "What’s going on." Dravos shouted out towards the group in general, "You all have various hells and underworlds to torture and organize." "Relax gramps." Hades stated casually, "Were watching ol' moody face try and deal with one of your Daleks." "Daleks in Equestria?" Dravos stated with a look between confusion and anger, "What in Skaro are Daleks doing in that universe?" His Infernal Majesty waved a crab claw towards the large sphere that contained the universe, "No idea. But this will prove entertaining as I think of a new plan to deal with those troublesome Power Puff Girls in my own." There was a general agreement to the statements as various representations of death gods agreed. Dravos sighed, "I guess it would not hurt. The doctor has foiled every plan I have yet had to destroy the life in mine." "I didn't know you dressed Daleks so Flamboyantly Dravos." A Shinigami wielding a black book stated crunching on the apple in his other hand, "Must say the purple really contrasts with the red." "Purple?" Dravos asked blankly, he didn't recall assigning a Dalek with that color in its construction. "Yep with red details and a bronze like lower body primary." The Shinigami stated cheerfully. "That doesn’t sound like one of my Daleks." Dravos stated bluntly as snickers went up in volume. "Has the body of one, Here take a look." A cloaked figure bearing the scythe stepped out of the way, showing Dravos the screen zoomed in on the flying Dalek passing through the trees with a seeming purpose about it. Dravos went from curious to disgusted, "Oh, that one. He’s a member of the Cult of Skaro considered to me the Runt of the litter. I consider him defective since he has a want to build over a want to destroy and kill in most circumstances. I will be surprised if he doesn’t die from the first shot of a standard Defabricator cannon." A few of the gods made an 'Aww' noise and left Leaving Dravos, Hades, HIM, and the Shinigami eating apples to watch the events unfold. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Dalek Chagrin touched down three miles away from the edge of the forest seeing a stealthy approach much safer than that of a fast one. He simply pushed through any obstacles in his way besides trees. Bushes would be flattened and vines snapped as he pushed forward, occasionally disintegrating those vines that stuck wrapped around his suit. Soon enough he was one hundred feet from the tree line when he sent his Probes out again, keeping watch over a well hidden section of cleared away ground inside the forest. He focused on the probes as he worked, scouting out the town and gathering information with their smaller optical sensors that were internally mounted rather than outward stalks. Each one moved with a stealthy purpose examining everything. This is where Chagrin began to become confused. Not a human in sight but rather the dominate race was that of Technicolor ponies of the normal, Unicorn, and Pegasus kind. The latter two were just myths until now to him while none of the pony like species bared similar makeup towards an actual horse from earth. What mystified him more was the Unicorns strange self-made biological energy source. The human equivalent to the word Magic. A scanner detected each Unicorn were fundamentally the same just in slight variations of color and wildly in strength. While he didn't question the Tattoo's on their arses (Presuming this to be a cultural thing that Daleks didn't care so much about usually except for Dravos Birthday and the day planet Skaro was lost) He did however take several scans of the three breeds of this pony even daring once for a drone to take a quick snippet of a hair for genetic analysis when a pony had unknowingly ventured too close to the bush the Scout drone was hiding in. He also noted their roles as the scouts spread out. From the farms and gardens the Earth bound hornless variety were farmers. From the magic and books the Unicorns were the Scholars and scientists. The Pegasus race however seemed to be defying logic completely and controlling the clouds and weather without mechanical support. A drone collected one of the feathers that fell out of the Pegasus's wings as they zipped by. A sign of Molting season either about to come or finish for the bird like race to be sure. He was pondering over the Genetics of the Tooth paste like Unicorn's hair and the Feather of the Pegasus when a Crash was made behind him, he ordered the scouts to fall back to his position stealthily while his suits head swiveled to face the direction the crash had come from. Protocol dictated his response to unknown elements, "Identify yourself!" he exclaimed through his universal translator. No response but a feminine groan from the bushes. Dalek Chagrin approached the drones circling the bush that had received the crash, "Identify yourself or be Exterminated." A grey Pegasus carrying a bag with a bright yellow mane and tail emerged from the bushes with a hoof to her head and eyes shut as she winced at the impact she had landed in. Dalek awaited her response. The pony exclaimed in a normal tone of voice, "Oh, sorry, did I hit some po-" then she opened her eyes and fell backwards back into the bush, "W-w-what and who are you?! agh!" That was the sound of her head hitting the ground. "Identify yourself. Do not attempt to run you are surrounded." He stated, thinking of the common flight or fight response that had happened more than once before. "Ditzy Doo..." Came the voice of the startled Pegasus, "Though most ponies call me Derpy." "Now why would anyone call you th-" he saw her wall eyes as they opened for more than half a second one focusing on him and the other going off in the opposite direction, "Oh, I see." He winced at his own pun. "Who and what are you?" The grey pony inquired, he pondered a guess that he wasn't the first strange thing that the Pegasus had encountered, and “I am Dalek Chagrin of the Cult of Skaro." "Cult of Skaro? Is that like a rock band or something?" Ditzy inquired looking excited. "...No." "Aw...." "What is todays date and year." Dalek Chagrin Stated in a commanding tone. "Uh... since Nightmare Moon was dealt with it is the Second LB of April thirteenth. Why?" "Date not catalogued in Interplanetary records. Explain the current land and planet we are presently on." "You’re in the nation of Equestria on the planet of Earth?" "Statement illogical, this world does not match any of documented history. You do not bear signs of fear of me despite name and appearance, Explain!" "Oh... Um... I get around a lot, I've seen a lot of strange things in the past few years." The lie on getting around a lot was obvious from the stutter at the start on the first half, though the second half ringed true to Chagrin. "Explain." He stated again. "Um... Do you know a pony commonly called The Doctor?" Ditzy asked. Cold liquid fear and dread flooded Chagrin. Instinctively he backed away from the cheerful mare, "The Doctor? As in Doctor Who, the Time Lord?" He asked, hoping it wasn't the one who he was thinking about. "Travels in a blue 'London police call box'?" Ditzy inquired. The Chagrin was quiet simply nodding at Ditzy with his eyestalk now formulating a response. When it came he spoke slowly as if to a child or to his potential executioner if she were to escape his reach and get to the doctor, "Yes the Daleks know the doctor. He has caused the permanent excruciating death of millions of Daleks and Time Lords alike and Time locked the two in the war of the time lords. He has manipulated the Cult of Skaro into killing three of its five members and Caused the death of the leader of the Dalek race. If he were to know about me he would not stop until one or both of us were dead." Ditzys face had slowly paled as Chagrin had forced himself to talk about the Doctor, quietly he heard her say, and “That doesn’t sound like the Doctor... What did he do to you?" "He offered Dalek Sec peace after the hybrid process between my species and the ones he had guarded, humans. After I think about it this is where his manipulations began. The Cult of Skaro turned on itself less than two hours later due to his influence corrupting Dalek Sec causing Dalek Thay and Jast to kill Sec. Then the doctor further intervened causing the Creation of a populace of Dalek Humans to become infected with Time Lord DNA and kill both Dalek Jast and Thay with our own forces. Dalek Caan and I lived only after undoing several months of work and thousands of Dalek life lost with a click of a button. We had met before as well where he trapped Countless newly freed Daleks into the void between dimensions. Him and his little blue box and the human companion Rose Tyler are the Dalek theat." Ditzy Doo frowned, "That's not very nice." "Do not alert the doctor of my presence. Where is the next occupied world of sentient life." "Uh.. what?" Ditzy asked, "I don't know because the doctor only took me other places in the Tardis." She covered her mouth too late and looked up at Dalek Chagrin who backed up further pointing his ray gun at her, "You are the Doctors current Companion!?" "What do you mean CURRENT?" Ditzy shouted back at the Dalek, forced to shout from how the Dalek had backed up to the other side of the clearing, "I am his first Pony Assistant!" "The Doctor's first Companion was a woman named Susan Foreman!" the Dalek all but shouted. "Look." Ditzy began, "How about I promise you I won't let the doctor harm you physically or through this manipulation. Just what are you doing here to begin with?" "I do not know. I did not arrive here on purpose. The Dalek Primary objective is to survive! Going to the Doctor under your swear is futile if the Doctor doesn’t as well." His records show that the Companions of the Doctor never broke a promise if they could help it, though the Doctor on the other hand was full of two-faced motions. "If I get the Doctor to promise not to harm you until he hears you out would you let him see you?" "..." "..." "I Dalek Chagrin will talk to your Doctor on the condition he comes here instead. I do not wish to cause civil unrest by hovering through town to where the Tardis is parked at. Or give him the opportunity to use some of his various toys to kill me with." "Agreed." Ditzy stated, starting to back up, "I promise you that okay? So I will be... just... going now...I will be back in an hour or two..." The scout probes returned to Dalek Chagrin and he set himself up to wait, putting his plunger against the tree and pulling away a few times. He was probably dead Chagrin knew, But running away from the Doctor always made it worse. Ditzy Doo in the meantime raced off towards the Doctor, mind full of questions for him and a promise to fulfill. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Meanwhile in Tartarus, The dark armored Alicorn stallion snorted loudly. The amount of paperwork it took to get one minion out of Tartarus these days was almost as bad as trying to find a loyal minion in the floor of traitors. To get a minion who he could trust to do the job to get rid of this inter-dimensional interloper was even harder considering the ones who were actually loyal to him were mostly spent in his attempts to topple his older sisters who ruled the middle realm and protecting the mother who ruled his opposite. One of his pawns had already been destroyed back to death with the successful return of the crystal kingdom and another repelled back into the badlands with extreme injuries to both her and her army. He grumbled as Imps groveled around him attending to his every need and whim while he filed out the paper work. Next on his loyal pawns he could use for the purpose of destroying the intruder, an Idea struck him and he chuckled darkly. He knew just who to send.
