Deadly Love
Chapter 2: The Tragedy Part 1
Previous ChapterOnly time can tell what will always be inevitable...
A few month had passed since Applejack's incident. She has been in heavy bed rest, constantly visited by her friends and loving marefriend, who was still a secret. Today she started the same ordinary routine; wake up, lay there for a few minutes before getting up to use the bathroom, brush her teeth, then lay back down for somepony to bring her breakfast. This routine was interrupted by a certain rainbow-maned mare with great news.
Rainbow Dash trotted into the room, to see the fully awoken mare. "AJ! AJ! Guess what today is!" She smiled happily.
AJ spoke in a sarcastic tone. "The first day of month four of being forced to stay in bed?!" She had a fake glee-filled tone that followed with an annoyed sigh.
Rainbow smiled, nuzzling the orange mare. "Nope! The complete opposite actually! Today's the day you can get up and start being a work-a-holic again!" She giggled with glee.
Applejack gasped before hugging Rainbow tightly. "Really?!" She gasped before planting her lips against Rainbow's, giggling with excitment.
Rainbow blushed faintly before parting the kiss. "Yup! And just in time too! All the Apple trees are out there and they need to be bucked! And you're the only mare in Equestria that can do it in style!" She laughed.
"Yes! Y'all don't know how bored Ah've gotten being cooped up in here like a hen in a henhouse durin the winter!" She smiled before she hopped out of her bed with an excited "Yeehaw!" She galloped out of her room quicker than Rainbow when she gets a new Daring Do book.
"That's my girl." Rainbow said before giggling. She flew out of the window, catching Applejack with ease. "Hey AJ, I'm gonna go get the others. They'll be glad to hear that you're all better!"
"Alright, Ah'll be here waitin for ya." She smiled before kissing Rainbow again.
"Love ya AJ." Rainbow said with a nuzzle.
"Love ya too Rainbow." AJ smiled, before grinning over the freshly ripened apple trees."
"Hey guys!" Rainbow said, catching up to the group consisted of Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity. "AJ's back on her hooves!"
Twilight gasped. "Really? Already? Even I expected a mare like her to be laid up for at least another month!"
Rainbow chuckled. "You can keep a farm mare like that laid up! She DOES make sure Ponyville gets their fair share of fresh apples, y'know!"
Pinkie giggled. "Come on you silly ponies! Let's go visit her!"
"Pinkie, lets hold up on that for a bit, let her do some work. She can't get those apples harvested with us botherin her." Rainbow said with a chuckle.
Rarity smiled. "Oh, I have the absolutely most fabulous idea for some outfits to wear in her celebration!"
"Rares, really?" Rainbow said in an annoyed tone. She was still filled with hate in being forced to wear Rarity's dresses. Except the ones she actually wants to wear.
"Oh fine, I must wear something extavagant though." Rarity replied with a 'hmph.'
Rainbow rolled her eyes. "Hey, you guys go ahead and get a party set up at Sugar Cube Corner! I'm gonna go get AJ a 'Welcome back you work-a-holic!' card if they have one of those... I bet they do!" She giggled as she flew off.
"Did she just...?" Twilight said, only to be interrupted by Rarity.
"I think she just did." She said in confusion.
"Ooohh~! Dashie's got a crush on Applejack! Dashie's got a crush on Applejack!" Pinkie sing-songed.
Twilight couldn't help but to giggle at Pinkie's remark. "No, she's just excited to have her best buddy athlete back! She probably wants to race her again, just to make sure she's at her full strength." She said, smiling.
Meanwhile...
"Hmmhmmhmmhmhmmmhmhmmm..." Rainbow hummed, looking through the gallery of cards. "Ooh! Perfect!" She said, picking one out.
"I'm glad to see you're all better now,
In the bed, we do abound.
Love forever,
___________"
Rainbow giggled at the card. She completely forgot she was in a more...mature...card store. She went over to the checkout counter, paid for the card and trotted on out, floating up and flying towards Sweet Apple Acres.
