Fluttershy awoke as the sun radiated through the window. She smiled as the sun warmed her face. She cracked her back and yawned. She then got into her slippers and walked downstairs. She then took some animal food and arranged bowls of various sizes. As she poured the food into the bowls, she whistled and her animals came inside. As they munched on their food she went into her kitchen.
She then took out a tray of lasagna from Pinkie Pie’s birthday last night and put it in the microwave. After one minute the thing pinged and she opened it and took the plate making sure not to burn herself. She then took a fork and flew outside and sat in her rocking chair.
By now the sun was high and birds were tweeting. After a while she took a bite of her lasagna.
Not bad. she thought.
She then ate the whole thing and looked to the woods and then at her house.
“No reason I shouldn’t take a walk.” she said.
With that, she put her plate down and flew towards the forest. The morning breeze flowed through her hair. The sun radiated through the trees and cast shadows. The poppies flowed with the wind.
“It’s so pretty.” Fluttershy said.
“I know, right?” said a voice.
Fluttershy gasped as she saw the source of the voice. It was her friend Twilight Sparkle.
“Oh, so sorry, Fluttershy!” Twilight said “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“No, it’s fine.” Fluttershy said “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, I’m looking for some roses. You know where they are?” Twilight asked.
Fluttershy looked around. She saw a rose on top of a rock.
“There’s one.” she said.
“Thank you!” Twilight said rushing to the rock.
She levitated the rose into her saddlebag.
“Who is it for?” Fluttershy asked.
“Beg your pardon?” Twilight inquired.
“The rose.” Fluttershy pointed out.
“Oh! It’s for Orion.” Twilight replied “I’m going out to dinner with him tonight.”
“That’s nice.” Fluttershy said.
“Well, I gotta go! See ya!” Twilight said running off.
Fluttershy smiled and then thought to herself.
Maybe I should get some flowers for Big Mac. she thought.
She then plucked some of the poppies at her feet and flew back towards her house. She took the plate and fork she left on the table and put them in the sink. She then looked in the mirror and placed the flowers in a vase. She suddenly heard a knock at the door.
"Coming!" she yelled.
She then flew down to her door and peeked through the hole. She gasped.
Big Mac! she thought.
She then rushed upstairs, plucked the flowers and headed back to the door. She then opened the door but then her eyes bugled at what she saw.
Big Macintosh had flowers too. They were daffodils, Fluttershy's favorite flower.
Both Fluttershy and Big Mac looked at one another then at the flowers and then back at one another.
"You have..." they both said together "...I mean you....Really?"
"Where'd you get them?" Fluttershy inquired.
"From Sweet Apple Acres." Big Mac explained "I found 'em grown' right next to an apple tree. I know daffodils are your favorite flower."
"How sweet." Fluttershy said taking the flowers.
Then Big Mac did something unexpected. He gave Fluttershy a kiss on the cheek. Fluttershy's eyes grew as big as dinner plates and her cheeks were on fire.
"Sorry." Big Mac said.
"No. It's fine." Fluttershy said "You wanna go out?"
"Yup." Big Mac said.
"So, yeah, 8:00?" Fluttershy asked.
"Yup." Big Mac replied.
"Okay, see you then!" Fluttershy said slamming the door and putting her back against it.
She then looked out the window at Big Mac who had the flowers in his saddlebag. Fluttershy then jumped in the air and scooped her bunny Angel up.
"YES!" Fluttershy yelled "YES!"
She then let Angel on the ground and flopped on her couch. She giggled.
"And to think...all this came from a walk in the woods." she said to herself.

Twilight laughed. She now had a rose for her boyfriend-to-be Orion. Nothing could go wrong. Then Big Mac bumped into her.
"Oh, hey, Big Macintosh." Twilight said.
"Yup." Big Mac said.
"What're doing here?" Twilight logically asked.
"Just got me a date with Fluttershy." Big Mac said.
"Really?" Twilight said "I just met her this morning."
"What?" Big Mac asked.
"Yeah. She was walking in the woods." Twilight replied "She helped me find a rose that I'll give to Orion."
"Orion?" Big Mac inquired.
"My soon to be boyfriend." Twilight responded.
"Oh." Big Mac said "That guy you're sweet on."
Twilight blushed. "Yeah that's him. Well I gotta go. Enjoy yourself."
She then ran off. Big Mac shrugged and headed back to Sweet Apple Acres. After about twenty minutes he arrived at the gate where Applejack was waiting. She gave her brother a hug.
"So, she like 'em?" she asked.
"Yup." Big Mac replied.
"Ready to get to work?" Applejack asked.
"Yup." Big Mac replied.
And the two did just that.

Orion put his tuxedo on as best he could. It was really hard because, well, being an Earth pony with no horn putting on any clothing isn't easy. But somehow he managed it.
"That should about do it." he said to himself.
He then looked in the mirror.
"Orion, my man, you are smooth." he said.
Suddenly a knock came at the door. He peeked through the window and saw Twilight. He then headed down the stairs, ready to greet the pony who he didn't know wanted to be more then just friends.
