An unexpected visitor

The sun illuminated the vast land of Equestria, it was a peaceful morning until a sudden explosion of light occurred in the Ever Free forest, some trees were damaged from the explosion from which appeared a young strange looking stallion he had light gray skin with spiky dirty white colored mane and tail, despite these features the most rare things were his red/green colored eyes and his cutie mark, it was a four sided star with seven smaller dots forming a circle around it, white, black, yellow, green, brown, red and blue, as the light glowed brighter two things showed up within the body of the pony, a horn and a pair of wings that rested on both sides of his body, he wasn’t a anypony, he was an alicorn. The stallion lifted himself up and fully regained his conscious ‘Oh my god, I feel like if I was hit by a truck’ he was about to rub his head with his hand to relieve some pain when he looked at his arm.

And realized his hand was gone.

He ran to the nearest water body he could find and was stunned for the image, in the reflection of the water was the image of a pony that strangely looked like a ponyfied version of him, ‘ok Joshua calm down’ he said to himself, after taking a deep breath he started to walk until he finally found his way out of the forest, seeing nothing but hills he started to run really enjoying the speed he could reach in his new form, he was so entertained that for a moment closed his eyes causing a strong collision with another pony, it wouldn’t be such a trouble if THE OTHER PONY wasn’t anyone but Princess Luna “WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS INCIDENT? WHO CRASHED WITH THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT, LUNA?” she said in her ‘high royal voice’ staring at a now shivering and scared Joshua who was lying in the floor death nervous.

“I-it was m-m-me” he somehow managed to say not breaking the eye contact with the princess, seeing the scared face of the pony she quickly cooled down and offered him a calm smile.

“Oh, don’t worry little stallion I suppose this was just a mistake right?” Joshua, after seeing the smile of princess Luna, bowed apologizing, as he did it his horn and wings were noticed by Luna, allowing a surprised expression to form on her face ‘an alicorn? How is this even possible?’ thought Luna while staring at Joshua’s ‘peculiar features’, she would definitely inform this to her sister.

“If I may ask, what were you doing in the Ever Free forest young stallion?” Luna asked

“Joshua, my name’s Joshua and as for the question I don’t know, in fact I can’t remember anything aside for my name” Joshua said but was interrupted by a loud noise coming from his stomach “and that I’m hungry” a small blush appeared on his face as a signal of embarrassment, Luna restrained herself for chuckling, it was a very innocent yet funny reaction “I think pony ville is not far from here, I’m sure we can go for something to eat”

Joshua’s eyes glittered for Luna’s comment “REALLY?” he practically screamed in joy after hearing this, earning a little chuckle from the princess, his reactions were indeed fun to watch.

“So Princess Luna-”

“Luna is just fine”

“Okay, Luna” Joshua corrected himself “would you mind giving a friend a tour from ‘pony ville’?”

“Friends?” asked Luna confused by Joshua’s statement “how can we be friends if we’ve just met seconds ago?”

“Time doesn’t matter, friends are friends, and even strangers are friends! They’re just friends you have yet not met” said Joshua with a childish smile on his face; a little spark appeared briefly on his eyes after saying that “so… we’re friends?”

Luna remained looking at Joshua before smiling “Yes, I think we are” she felt her hearth warming after answering ‘this must be what a new friendship feels like, it’s actually a comforting feeling’ after the thought something clicked on her mind “Would you mind waiting here for a second?” she quickly asked to Joshua who simply nodded and watched Luna fly away in a speed that could be compared to Rainbow Dash.

She was hiding behind a tree deeply analyzing what just happened ‘I can’t believe it, I’ve just made a friend! A personal friend’ she thought with all the joy in her hearth, sure she had her sister and Twilight and her friends, but they were introduced to her by Celestia, after being away for 1000 years she lost contact with her few past friends, and being possessed by evil didn’t helped very much, but Joshua was officially her first friend, this was an important event.

After returning with Joshua both of them flew their way to pony ville ‘well this is actually pretty normal’ thought Joshua while observing pony ville from the sky, he expected a huge farm like environment but this place resembled a normal city. They landed on Sugarcube Corner, as they entered they were greeted by a hyper as usual Pinkie Pie “Welcome to Sugar- OH MY CELESTIA, PRINCESS LUNA!” she left out a scream while approaching to Luna

“Greetings Pinkie Pie, I would like a table for two please” said Luna somehow managing to calm down Pinkie Pie.

“Can you please wait a minute?” Pinkie asked to both of them “The place’s full but I’m sure one of the tables will clear in a minute or two” as she said this Luna watched the store, it was indeed completely full although this wasn’t a surprise, since Pinkie Pie started to work there everypony came to the place to try out any Pinkie’s cupcake invention.

“I can wait for the table to be cleared; can you order for us princess? I’m kind of new with the cupcakes stuff” he walked to the entrance and sat in an unoccupied chair deciding to wait there.

“So… anything in mind princess?”

“Surprise me Pinkie Pie”

“Okay two special orders for the princess and her colt-friend (is that the correct term?)” she said while letting a giggle for the ‘colt-friend’ part.

“CO-CO-COLT-FRIEND? What in Equestria are you talking about?” Luna yelled at Pinkie Pie with her face red in embarrassment for her statement, lucky for her, Joshua was asleep, he tried but failed to surpass his boredom so he decided to take a nap.

“Come on, a princess like you wouldn’t be giving anypony a private guide through the city, he must either be from the royalty or your special pony, and guessing for his lack of knowledge of Equestria I take the second”

“H-how did you know it?” asked Luna both embarrassed and confused

“I have my means” Pinkie said before disappearing and reappearing with a bunch of chocolate cupcakes. After eating the cupcakes (Joshua practically devoured them) they flew out of the store as Luna gave the tour to Joshua, by the end of it, the day was starting to end, Luna had to go back to the castle to inform the event to her sister before raising the moon.

“Joshua, I want you to meet someone, I need you to come with me to the castle” Luna said to him, he simply nodded as they flew their way to the castle.

*Canterlot City*

Joshua’s eyes widened for the extension and beauty of Canterlot, the twilight was already present but it gave the city a beautiful sight, the houses, the streets, lots of stallions and mares walking calmly through the city, it was a heartwarming sight; but in the middle of if laid the Princess castle, it was the most beautiful palace Joshua ever saw, it was enormous yet amazingly organized, you could see the royal guardians patrolling every corner of the castle in a non-stop way. They flew down and were greeted by one of the royal guards.

“Greetings Princess” he said as he let Luna pass but stopped when Joshua tried to do the same “What business do you have with the princess” he asked in a very serious tone. Before Joshua could answer Luna intervened “He’s my guest this time, let him pass” the guard nodded and let Joshua pass, after a while walking they reached Celestia’s room where Celestia was signing a bunch of documents and putting them in a humongous pile of paper, she knew she was the ruler and goddess of Equestria but hay she hated paperwork.

“Dear sister what brings you here at this hour, shouldn’t you be raising the moon in a moment?” asked Celestia while approaching to Luna but stopped when she noticed Joshua “And who might this young stallion be?”
“H-hello p-princess my name is Joshua” said Joshua as he walked to Celestia (and stopped hiding behind Luna) “I just came to Equestria so I didn’t know my way through ‘pony ville’ also it seems that I have amnesia, seeing that I couldn’t remember anything but my name when I woke up” he said as he finally managed to calm down, his actions were understandable, I mean, It isn’t every day that you not only meet a goddess but TWO!

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Joshua” she then noticed Luna pointing at Joshua's wings and horn, Celestia understood that the reason she brought Joshua to her was for that “Do you remember anything from before you woke up?”

“As I told you before not, I woke up and then I watched myself, I don't know why but seeing me in a pony form shocked me for some reason, adding the wings and the horn it was indeed a surprise”

“I see, well I think it might be better to get you a house to live, unfortunately we don't have space in the castle so you must travel back to pony ville, I'm sure that if they don't have place at least they'll have construction materials for you to use” said the princess as Joshua nodded and walked away

“Joshua would you wait outside for a second, I'll raise the moon and then go with you to pony ville” said Luna as she closed the door leaving Joshua in the lobby.

*Fifteen minutes later*

With her job done Luna returned to the palace and she and Joshua walked away, however Celestia's horn started to glow in a sky blue color, she casted a spell that surrounded her eyes, it was a special spell to look at the true form of any creature in her visual field, her eyes grew in surprise after looking at Joshua.

Walking beside him stood the figure of a bipedal human with long dirt white hair that looked exactly like Joshua's hair, he wore a red jacket and blue jeans, a pair of black tennis in his feet and some driving gloves, strangely it looked like a humanized version of Joshua's current appearance, any doubt Celestia could have from him faded away when Joshua turned back, the human mimicked Joshua's movements, although their facial features were a little different their eyes were exactly the same, the only thing that looked out of place was a stride of black hair that was barely visible through the mass of white hair “Is something wrong princess” asked Joshua causing Celestia to snap out.

“No, its nothing” answered Celestia, Joshua and Luna walked away, the spell do gave her the answer to the weirdness of Joshua's features but it only lifted more questions, she would definitely keep an eye on him.

So here is it, I hope this to become a large project so any opinion is accepted and appreciated, until the next chapter!

Construction and Magic Equestria Style

Luna and Joshua flew through the night in direction to Pony Ville, Joshua was still getting used to the whole ‘I’m a pony with horn and wings’ thing but he had to admit it felt awesome to have the wind running wildly under your wings, the sky was very calm as the moon had just rise, courtesy to Luna of course, they both reached a plain terrain located no far from the center of Pony Ville, it had nothing but dirt, but thanks to the influence of both of the princesses Joshua could get construction materials for his house in no time.
“Umm Luna” said Joshua looking at all the materials lying on the ground
“Yes?” asked Luna not understanding why Joshua hasn’t started with his house
“How the hay am I supposed to pick up those materials?” he said trying to lift ONE of the light looking bars, resulting (as expected) with the bar colliding in the ground making a loud noise.
“Why don’t you use magic to levitate them?”
“… You remember that I woke up with amnesia yesterday right?” he said while pointing several times to his head
“Oh, right…” Said Luna as she started to think for a solution, she actually forgot that ‘small’ issue, it could be a trouble in the near future so they had to find a way to solve it “I know! We can get you an extra teacher to help you with the basics of magic”
“Wait, did you said two teachers?” asked Joshua giving up with the lift practice
“Yes, one of them it’s my Sister’s disciple Twilight Sparkle, and the other one would be no other than me” said the princess as Joshua smiled anxiously
“What are we waiting for? Let’s go!” said the albino pony before blasting in the air and waiting for Luna after realizing that he had no idea where Twilight lived
‘If I didn’t know him, I would have thought he was Rainbow Dash’s brother’ thought the princess before guiding Joshua to Twilight’s house.
Somewhere in Ponyville inside of a cloud house, Rainbow Dash sneezed
*Space Break*
As they reached the library they were received by Spike, who was wearing a black apron looking like a tiny maid (is it just me or does Spike has no man pride?)
“Good night Princess Luna, what can I do for you?” asked Spike in his usual child-like voice, earning a stare from Joshua
“I require the presence of Princess Twilight Sparkle, it is for a royal matter, dragon Spike” said Luna in a serious tone
“Ok, suit yourselves” said the dragon before opening the door to let the princess pass, he did notice Joshua’s presence but as Luna said it is a royal matter, so he actually didn’t cared.
“Princess Twilight? It is Luna who is calling you” spoke Luna to Twilight, who came downstairs the now immense library covered with ink and dust.
“Sorry for the mess princess Luna, I kind of got way too much into my books” said Twilight while using her wings to clean the dust from her and performing a spell to wash away the ink.
“Apology accepted, now to the main thing, Joshua can you please present yourself?” said Luna as Joshua walked in, Twilight’s reaction to him was the same as Celestia’s, a complete state of confusion coming from Joshua’s horn AND wings, however she didn’t show it as she gave him a simple smile to dissimulate it; ironically enough it was Applejack, aka the worst liar in Equestria, who had thought her to show a smile no matter how embarrassed or confused she could be.
“Hello princess Twilight, my name’s Joshua, I would like to say something more but I really can’t, since I woke up in what you call ‘The Ever free forest’ I can’t remember anything else, since then Princess Luna-” he was about to continue talking but Luna gave him a grin, Joshua sighed before continuing “I mean, Luna” corrected Joshua while giving a ‘are you happy now?’ face to Luna, who simply smiled “had been guiding me through Ponyville and recently I was about to build myself a house”
“So what’s the problem?” asked Twilight while tilting her head
“Why didn’t you finished it?” asked Spike while delivering a plate of sandwiches
“Well you see, since he woke up he had a deep amnesia so I must assume he literally forgot how to use magic” explained Luna while remembering the awkward accident she and Joshua had
“What, really?” asked Twilight almost in complete shock, her face acquiring a worried grin when she only received a sad head tilt as response from Joshua
“Well what are we waiting for? Let the training start” she said as she dived into the sea of books, after fifteen minutes she emerged with a book in her mouth
“’‘Everything you might need to know about magic’ I’m pretty sure that with this book you’ll remember your magic in no time”
“Superb! Come on Joshua lets train” said Luna while Joshua smile awkwardly at the princess overjoy ‘Dear Celestia what did I get myself into?’ thought the young alicorn as they went outside
“Okay Joshua, I want you to start with the basic, just relax and let the magic do the rest” said Twilight as Joshua closed his eyes
“Umm miss Sparkle, what am I supposed to do now?” he asked with his eyes still closed
“Just relax” said Twilight “can you see a colored dust surrounding you?” she asked in a calmly voice.
“Yes, it’s pretty weird, I feel like I’m inside of a giant jelly! There are so many colors”
“Good now I want you to imagine yourself firing a beam” Twilight told him before motioning Luna to step back a little
“Like this?” asked Joshua as he opened his eyes and a huge beam of golden light emanated from his horn and made a hole in the cloud full sky before disappearing, needless to say it leaved a speechless Joshua with a ‘:O’ face, and a very impressed Twilight and Luna.
“Now that’s what ‘ah call a beam” said a voice with a southern scent, as they turned around they saw Applejack alongside the rest of the mane 6 “What’cha doing here in da’ night Sugarcube?” asked the orange earth pony.
“Goodnight Applejack, right now I’m helping out this young colt you see here” said Twilight while signaling Joshua with her head, which lay in the ground very dizzy due to the unexpected beam.
“Who moved the planet? Oh hi ladies, my name’s Joshua it’s a pleasure to meet you” said Joshua as he presented himself to the mares.
“So dear, are you capable of levitating things now?” asked Rarity
“I suppose I can” said Joshua
“WATCH OUT!” yelled a voice coming from the ever free forest direction
“What the hay?” said Twilight as they moved away
“URSA MINOR!” yelled the unknown pony now identified as Dinky Doo
“Easy sis, calm down and tell us what happened” said Pinkie Pie with an unusually calmed tone of voice
“I-I was d-delivering a letter for Zecora in her hut when I heard a huge roar and suddenly an Ursa minor with red fur started chasing me!”
“Chasing you!? So you mean it’s-” Rainbow Dash could never finish her question as a huge roar came from the Everfree forest, briefly seconds later a huge red furred Ursa Minor came emerged from them; it was insanely big for a normal Ursa Minor, it almost reached an Ursa Major’s size, its claws looked unusually sharper and bigger.
“Fluttershy try speaking to it” said Twilight as Fluttershy flew to make eye contact with the beast.
“Umm excuse me, Ursa, I think that there must be a misunderstanding here, this is Ponyville not your cave, now if you would be nice enough to-” the Ursa interrupted Fluttershy’s speech by sending her an immense claw that she was barely able to avoid.
“What’s the deal you oversized constellation?” yelled Rainbow Dash as she launched herself to hit the Ursa, but ignoring the fact that the Ursa was almost 30 times her size and it easily waved her off.
“This is enough, we will not allow you to hurt our friends, you filthy Ursa Minor!” yelled Luna as she launched a blue beam to the Ursa hitting it right in the stomach, incredibly it only flinched a little and mere seconds after it stood again with its eyes clearly showing hate and wrath.
“H-How can this be? My beam didn’t even let it a scratch” said a complete dumbfounded Luna
“I think we might need some brute force princess” said Rainbow Dash as she readied her hoofs
“Wait, brute force? Oh my God! I remember something!” said Joshua earning all the mares and Spike’s views.
“Here goes nothing!” said Joshua as his horn started to emit a golden beam
A huge cloud of white dust appeared in front of him and mere seconds later a group of eleven bipedal creatures stood there; ten of them whore a red American football suit with its armor, they were huge and muscular guys; the last one however, was a tall man, wearing black football pants, a gray polo shirt with a whistle and a red cape; in the back of the players shirt stood a black ox with the letters ‘Shadow Titans’ under it; the elder man quickly approached Joshua
“How is it going Joshua” asked the man
“Pretty well Frank” answered Joshua to Frank
“Really? Last time I checked you weren’t a colorful pony”
“It’s a long story; but can you guys help me? I kind of have a little problem”
“Of course man, what is it?” asked Frank
“That” answered Joshua while pointing to the Ursa
“Holy mother of buck” (The curses translate themselves) said Frank as he looked at the Ursa
“All right! Leave it to me Joshua” said Frank as he called his team
“Come here right you filthy rats!” yelled Frank adopting his ‘coach’ attitude
“Sir Yes Sir” yelled the team
“Our friend Joshua said that this little guy had been pissing him off along with his friends, so I want you to teach him a lesson of not messing with Joshua and turn him into meat ready to be turned into a bucking hamburger!”
“Like WcDonald’s sir?” asked one of the players
“Exactly James, just like WcDonald’s” answered Frank, his whole team just nodded
“Alright now just tell me, WHAT ARE YOU!?” yelled-asked Frank
“FILTHY PIECES OF MEAT!” answered the team
“AND WHAT WILL YOU BECOME IF YOU SOMEHOW WIN THIS TIME!?”
“FILTHY PIECES OF MEAT THAT KNOW HOW TO PLAY FOOTBALL!!!”
“THAT’S WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR, NOW GO ON AND BEAT THE STUFF OUTTA THAT OVER SIZED HYSTERIC WINNIE THE BUCKING POOH!!” yelled Frank while whistling his whistle as the whole team yelled and started to attack the Ursa
This time however the Shadow Titans knew what they were doing and practically hit every single muscle in the Ursa’s body
“C’mon Harrison is that what you call a tackle!? My mom had spanked me harder with a bucking pillow!” yelled Frank at Harrison who was pushing the Ursa’s body
“That’s what I’m doing coach!” answered Harrison while adding even more force to the pushing, managing to start to break the Ursa’s gravitational center
“Then push like if you were punching the face of those Trojan Devils!”
Frank’s last comment made Harrison’s wrath snap, the Trojan Devils where the ones that won the last football season only because Simon Tranviltton, the rock-brain captain of the Trojan’s hurt Harrison’s leg in the middle of the game, causing him to go the bench, and finally making them loose the season.
Harrison screamed at the top of his lungs before finally making the Ursa to fall at its knees, as the dust cleared from the hit, the know stunted Ursa stood in the dirt revealing a red jewel on its fur, it was located in the middle of its head and had a strange black dust inside of it.
“Joshua tell the players to hit that jewel! I sense a strong magic coming from it!” yelled Luna, Joshua simply nodded and signaled the coach for the order
“ALL RIGHT YOU SHRIMPS!! IF YOU MANAGE TO BREAK THAT SHINY RED JEM IN THE FORE-HEAD OF THE HUMONGOUS TEDDY BEAR I’LL TAKE YOU TO AN ‘ALL YOU CAN EAT’ DELUXE BUFFET!” yelled Frank, smiling as his words made the effect he wanted them to have. The players went literally berserk against the Ursa’s body knocking it totally unconscious with a beating that could only be compared to being hit with a full powered beam being launched by Nightmare Moon; John, the biggest player and captain of the team, launched himself to the Ursa’s hand and in a single movement ripped the jewel from its forehead. The Ursa let a huge scream of pain before returning to its normal color and size, as it woke up it seemed very confused and just walked the way back to its cave.
“See you later Joshua” said Frank as he and his team vanished in the air, Joshua simply waved with his hoof before turning and noticing seven confused mares and a dragon staring at him with blank expressions
“What in the name of Equestria was that?” asked Twilight trying to prevent her mind from exploding from the illogical event that she had just saw.
“Oh Frank and the guys? They’re the Shadow Titans, an American football team from the Realm of Shadows, they’re pretty good with fights” answered Joshua ridiculously calmly, as if he was used to this kind of stuff
“I meant how the hay did you managed to do a summon spell!” yelled Twilight now a little calmed from the confusion.
“Well I suddenly remembered that I knew how to do it” Joshua answered while touching his horn, still a little hot because of the spell
“Joshua, try to imagine that that rock is floating” spoke Luna while pointing to a rock of a considerable size
Joshua didn’t answer as he did what the princess told him so, in brief moments, and for the surprise of Joshua and the mares, the big rock was floating in thin air.
“You did it!” yelled Pinkie Pie while jumping in the rock, Joshua was not even looking and the rock remained floating
‘What an incredible power he has’ thought Luna as she observed it, for any spell a unicorn or even an alicorn needed to concentrate on its objective, Joshua wasn’t even trying and lifted a rock, a huge rock.
“Well ah think that you’re ready to build yer house up” said Applejack as they arrived to the place which was still practically untouched and started to work.
*Space Break*
Zecora stood in her hut in the Everfree forest, the sound was soundlessly, something she adored, because it meant that the creatures were sleeping and she could relax while gathering some ingredients ‘I could go and walk around for a species pursuit, there might be a lot of spices for the potion and the soup’ she thought as she walked outside of her hut.
After 15 minutes of walking she found the species that she wanted and even more because this time the animals didn’t eat them “I knew go for a walking was an idea that is good, I could even sell some for a bit or two” she said as she started walking back to her hut, however when she exited the place where she found the treats she heard a strange noise, turning around was a young girl wearing a hood, it was pitch black so she had a bad time trying to find her gaze, her eyes were ruby colored and her hair was dirt white; the strangest thing from her apart from the fact that she stood in two legs, was the strange black fog that surrounded her, Zecora put her nest of species in the ground and spoke to the mysterious girl.
“I beg your pardon me but who are you young one? You don’t seem like anyone I’ve seen from around” she said as she walked to the girl, she didn’t answer nor did she move, the fog was the one that moved and made its way to try and catch Zecora, she however reacted to this and quickly grabbed her nest before jumping away, a poor bird was caught within the fog, Zecora stared at the poor animal, the fog didn’t killed it, but it had a horrible effect, the bird was trembling to the bones in fear, it was like if in the mere moment the fog embraced the creature it had saw the most traumatizing moment in its life repeating itself over and over again.
“That black fog is dangerous, why don’t you save it and go for a walk? It might be more efficient for you and me to just talk” she spoke to the girl trying to convince her to go to an open space, she didn’t want to be trapped in that fog, and less in a closed place like the Everfree forest, where she wouldn’t get help until a while because the ponies where to scared of the place to even enter.
The girl again didn’t answer but she ran in direction to Ponyville, seeing this Zecora took a shortcut and found that the girl was almost reaching the end of the forest, she jumped and landed in the ‘door’ separating the forest and the village, it wasn’t exactly a door, it was actually a hole caused by the form of the trees that would allow a creature of a considerable size to walk through.
“It seems that in Ponyville a little walk you will have not, I'm sorry but I must tell you that I will make you stop” she said as she launched herself to the girl while trying to avoid contact with the fog, however the girl made a little smile before the fog grabbed Zecora and launched her to the fields of the path to Ponyville, unable to maintain conscience due to the impact and the influence of the fog she fainted.
The girl walked slowly to Zecora’s now unconscious body, she took out from her hood another hood but this one was plain white, she approached to Zecora and put it over her, she didn't want to cause her pain but she was in the way, after the act was done she stood up and slowly walked in direction to Ponyville.
“Joshua…” said the girl while pausing to take a look at Ponyville, there was nopony outside at this hour and the streets were clear, some crickets were singing in the horizon and a strong wind blew through her face, taking off the hat of the hood, her hair was exactly like Joshua’s human version that Celestia had saw but it seemed to be even way more long, her eyes were revealed to be double colored, ruby red and sapphire blue, the girl also couldn’t be more than 17 years old, she was like Joshua’s human version, but in the body of a girl.
“It is time for you to learn the true reason of fear” she said to herself before the fog surrounded her and she disappeared in the air.

They shall feel fear

Joshua yawned as he woke up in his new house, with the help of Twilight and company his house could be built in a few hours, he gazed to his new house, in the middle of the construction time they found out that Applejack had an old slide that Applebloom used to play with, so with a little of magic Joshua managed to build and install a new slide to his house, a water toboggan!

He went to his fridge and took out a piece of apple pie, thanks to the girls he managed to get all the ‘left overs’ they had in their fridges.

‘Left overs my flank’ thought Joshua as he looked at his still full fridge, after finishing his pie slice he was about to wash the dish he used when he heard some loud knocks in the door.

“Joshua! Come quickly!” said Twilight while taking Joshua’s hoof and dragging him all the way to her house leaving him only time to close his door. When they entered the house they saw the whole mane 6 alongside the CMC inside of the house alongside the house, what surprised Joshua even more was the fact that Celestia and Luna were also there, all the looks were set in Zecora who was sleeping in the couch.

“What happened?” asked Joshua a little nervous and confused from the presence of so many ponies in a house.

“Yesterday we had found Zecora laying in the grass sleeping, for some reason she seemed to be struggling very hard as if having some kind of nightmare” answered Luna, Celestia was about to say something but was interrupted because Zecora finally woke up.

“If you can please tell me, what is happening here?” asked Zecora still dizzy from all the involuntary sleeping she had
“We found you lying in the grass outside the Everfree Forest, would you mind telling us what happened?” asked Celestia, Zecora proceeded to sit down as she tried to remember the events she had passed yesterday.

“I was in a search for some mushrooms and roots, I needed them for a potion and a soup; but when I picked the last of the roods, I saw a figure of a girl in a hood; she didn’t spoke for all I could tell but she had a black smoke that surrounded her, I saw a poor bird passing through the smoke and in mere seconds it was shacking to the bones; the girl suddenly disappeared from the place and I then ran to the path to the end, when I found her I tried to make her stop, but it was worthless as I was attacked with the smoke; I can’t remember where the girl went, but I now know the black dust effects, it caused me to sleep but it was restless, I was attacked with nightmares that seemed to be endless; the smoke causes fear at the very touch, it shows you what scares you deep down in your soul, it is a danger and for what I can see, we don’t have much time until she reaches Ponyville” said Zecora, the other ponies could simply listen at her tale, if such danger was indeed approaching to Ponyville then they had to move quickly.

“Applejack, I need you to take Applebloom to your house and tell your family to don’t go outside” said Twilight while informing each of the mane six her instructions, Applejack nodded and ran her way to Sweet Apple Acres, Rarity told everypony from Central Ponyville, Pinkie Pie would inform everypony in the other district, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash would inform everypony in Clouds Dale as it remained unknowing if the dust could reach the hovering city or not; before parting Twilight told them to reunite with them at the center of Ponyville, if the girl was supposed to be searching something or somepony the most obvious place would be the center.

After making sure everypony was safe in their houses, the mares ran to the center of Ponyville only to find that the princesses and Joshua were already seeing the black hooded girl, the girl’s eyes acquired a spark when she saw Joshua.

“I’ve been waiting for you Joshua” said the girl as she took off the cap of the hood, Celestia’s eyes widened at the sight, the girl looked exactly like the human vision Joshua projected that time.

“Who are you?” asked Joshua as he advanced to the girl “What do you want from me?”

“You might not remember it, but I’ve been with you since the mere day you became to existence” spoke the girl, as the dust started to surround the group of mares “As for your other question, I only ask, no, demand you to confront me, you’ve been running away for a long time, and I’m starting to grow tired of this” the girl gave the mares a sinister grin “As for you allow me to present myself, I am the physical representation of the most ancient feeling any thinking being had felt since the beginning of the creation” as her words continued she lifted a hand and the dust moved abruptly and engulfed everypony into its deeps, inside the dust the mares saw and lived their most horrible nightmares and fears coming true right in front of their eyes, after 10 long minutes that seemed eternal to the suffering mares the dust faded away a little just for them to remain conscious, since the girl was far from finishing.

“I am the fear” After said words the black dust surrounded completely both the girl and Joshua.

In front of Joshua stood the figure of a man, it wasn’t very clear for the black numb allowed only a small sight of the man, he started to walk to Joshua, the mares and Joshua stood silently as the man suddenly started laughing, it wasn’t a normal laugh although, it was a sinister devilish laugh, the man’s voice was dark, hard and heavy it entered the ponies ears like a river of poison leaving an unpleasant feeling with every word, in matter of seconds the figure revealed itself, Celestia’s eyes widened at the sight, in front them was a young teen, he looked EXACTLY like the vision she had of Joshua, but the difference between him and Joshua was that this teen had his skin pigmented with ashes, also the color in his eyes seemed to had the intensity at 100% his eyes were now bloody red and the other one was shinny emerald, but everypony could see a faint sight of darkness inside of them.

“Who is this?” asked Joshua deeply disturbed by the presence of the teen; his head started burning in a terrible headache, the girl simply laughed at Joshua’s pain.

“Isn’t it quite obvious? He is you” said the girl earning a loud gasp from everypony “He is the you from inside of your soul, your anger, your power, your bad and hurtful memories, he’s the representation of your suffering since before your memory loss, and If you ask me he’s angry, VERY angry” the shadow teen started walking towards Joshua with a psychotic smile forming in his face with every step, Joshua stood frozen in fear as the shadow continued walking, the girl continued to look at Joshua with anger at his frozen state.

“So that’s it? You’ll just freeze until your fears tear you apart? You disgust me Joshua, I guess you don’t actually care for anypony besides you” the girl’s comment caused Joshua to snap and turn his gaze to the mares beside him.

The girl was right; Luna, Celestia and everypony else laid in the floor barely conscious “It is my fault” said Joshua while hitting his hoofs on the floor in anger. “Don’t worry much, this suffering shall end anyway, once you’re engulfed by this numb it’ll all end.” The shadow teen started to slowly approach Joshua; he stood only 10 cm or so from his body slowly approaching his shadowing hand that morphed into a black blade “Ready to feel fear?” asked the teen while launching his sword at him.

“No.” the teen was pushed down and landed in the floor due to a powerful hit he received, Joshua’s body started glowing in a golden light as he felt his entire body change, his arms and legs grew longer, his head changed its form, in no more than 5 seconds the light faded away and revealed a new scenery, Joshua the alicorn turned into the figure Celestia saw with her spell; the shadow teen let another laugh escape from his mouth but this time it was different, Celestia and practically everypony could feel a hidden feeling behind his psychotic laugh, was it… happiness?

“Finally! Finally! This is what I was waiting for! Come on! Come at me! Let’s stop running away and end it here!” the teen launched himself to Joshua’s direction and lift his arm/blade, however the hit was deflected as Joshua punched him in the face while grabbing the nudged sized of the sword and throwing him to the floor again “You’ll wish you never did that” said the teen as he brushed off the dirt in his face “Make me” was Joshua’s answer as he quickly ran into the teen to continue the fight, the fight was during longer than what Joshua thought as the teen practically copied every single movement Joshua made, the two teens were on the floor painting hardly and sweating a lot, Joshua felt the little energy he still had and tried to stand up, he was starting to think that this fight was worthless, if the girl’s words were true he was practically fighting with himself, how to fight someone like you? How do you fight you? How do you fight the fear?

Joshua’s eyes widened in realization, the answer had been in front of him all the time! The only way to fight fear was feeling the opposite thing; this didn’t pass unnoticed by the girl as she smiled earning a confused expression from the mares, why was she smiling? Was she happy that Joshua would win? Didn’t she want to finish his existence?

The shadow teen charged at Joshua with a psychotic smile and attacked Joshua with his hand/blade, in that moment Joshua did what nopony except for the hooded girl knew he would do, he did nothing, he simply let the black sword pass through it and it did, it passed right through him as if he was made of numb, the shadow teen found himself embraced by Joshua with his sword still through him and it was when something weird happened, the shadow teen’s skin started to emit a warm white glow, the black numb started to fade away as the mares could feel their energy being refilled and strangely they didn’t feel the fear anymore, it was as if with Joshua’s brave action the ‘curse’ that made the black dust disappeared instantly, Joshua’s hand started to emit a strange golden glow and suddenly a wave of gold energy stood in his hand like a flame, it’s light caused a warm sensation to every living thing as all the ponies in Ponyville slowly went out, the hooded girl walked to Joshua with a huge smile on her face, with her hood now gone she stood in front of the mares as Joshua continued to stare the golden energy in his hand.

“Do not fear Joshua, you have just proven your worthy by defeating your own fears, the result of going in a hell of true terror it’s the maximum sense of courage, fear isn’t a bad thing, it’s something that exist since the beginning of the consent beings, the fear serves as a method of protection as courage couldn’t exist without the fear, remember the fear and use it as an ally not a foe, that energy you have in your hand is but a tiny peck of the power you now hold; also I forgot to introduce me, I am the guardian or representation of fear, I lack of a name but you can call me Mai” Mai introduced herself by bowing at the mares and Joshua, who in matter of seconds turned back into his pony form.

“Don’t you think is time to cut your little ‘movie’ Discord?” asked Mai to apparently nopony receiving a wicked laugh from… the air? “You need to relax a little young one, I wanted to appreciate that wonderful act a little more” with a loud snap of fingers, appeared the Spirit of Disharmony and self-proclaimed Master of Chaos, Discord.

“Good now that you’re here, I need all of you to listen to me, this ‘attack’ that you saw will repeat itself in the near future” said Mai causing some of the mares to gasp and gathered the attention of the habitants of Ponyville, which were already out and had presence the ‘little act’.

“What do you mean?” asked one of the ponies from the crowd, the mane 6, Joshua and the princesses remained silent expecting Mai’s answer, even Discord seemed interested as he had not done anything in over one minute.

“In the near future, there will be 7 more ‘invasions’ to Ponyville, as I already told you I am the representation of one of the called ‘Elements of chaos’” by now Discord had a confused grin in his face at the mention of those ‘Elements of chaos’, being the master of chaos he knew practically everything about it, but the ‘Elements of chaos’ he believed them to be nothing but a mere theory.

“Fear, madness, envy, hate, pride, sorrow, loneliness and finally void; the eight united are the representation of the true and original chaos, a dark chaos, the kind of chaos that existed before the creation of everything” Mai then looked at Discord “Discord, being the master of the ‘new chaos’ you might have an idea of what I’m talking about, can you explain the rest?”

Discord snickered before a floating in a sit like position observing everypony “What you speak is true Mai, before my wonderful innovation became, there was still chaos in the universe but I dare say, what a disgusting chaos it was!” everypony gasped as the representation of chaos cursed the chaos itself! It was as if Celestia said that she was tired of the sun. “Don’t misunderstand me, the old chaos was what it is, total and absolute chaos, a chaos that messed up entirely with everypony and didn’t respect anything, it was a serious, evil chaos; that chaos had 8 principal basis, the 8 laws or principles of the ‘old chaos’; personally, when I found out that kind of chaos I took it apart and modified it into my new type of ‘funny chaos’, I mean what fun is there when chaos exist to hurt?” asked the draconequus to nopony in particular, the ponies were always kind of freaked out when Discord showed a little bit of concern of his ‘chaotic playmates’, it was his twisted version of concern but it was concern in the end.

“If you are here as the element of fear, then it’ll be very chaotic days to Ponyville” informed Discord receiving a thoughtful look from both princesses.

“My dear student” spoke Celestia while turning to Twilight but it was obvious that the message was for everypony “Seeing the danger that shall fall upon Ponyville it’ll be necessary for me to suspend some of my royal tasks and protect the city directly” after receiving a nod from her sister she turned to Discord as if expecting an answer, the draconequus laughed at the serious atmosphere “You know I’m in, I’m still curious of how this situation will develop, it’ll be refreshing to see the old styled chaos, although…” his face acquired a very serious grin, something fairly unusual for the goofy spirit “If it goes out of control then I’ll personally make sure to end it once and for all, I suppose it won’t be an inconvenient for me to stay in your cottage, right Fluttershy?” Fluttershy nodded and walked upon Discord.

“You’ll always be welcome to my humble cottage Discord” she said while giving the spirit a warm smile.

“And where will you stay?” asked Joshua to Mai, who simply laughed making Joshua freak out “Didn’t I tell you? I already have a home, haven’t you noticed that your shadow has being gone for a couple of minutes?” Joshua looked at his hoofs before noticing that Mai was right! His shadow was gone! “B-but-” Joshua couldn’t finish his sentence as Mai merged into a shadow and stacked herself as Joshua’s shadow “Don’t worry we’ll get along in no time buddy!” spoke Mai from Joshua’s shadow before materializing again and giving Joshua a peck in the cheek “That’s for making such a dumb brave act” Mai disappeared in the shadow again leaving a blushing Joshua, an angry and VERY jealous Luna and a laughing Discord; Celestia sighed as she remembered Discord’s words and looking at the situation, indeed there will be very chaotic days in Ponyville, very long and chaotic days for the sun goddess.
