Chapters A mare was walking around town. Her black cape was fastened with a ruby on the pony's neck. Her wings were white and bits of her yellow mane fly out every so often. Ponys looked at her as if she was a threat. After becoming more comfortable with her presence, the pony's continued on their business. Pinkie Pie was jumping down the street delivering some muffins to Derpy Hooves when she noticed the mare.
"No. That can't be Surprise." She mumbled. Two purple eyes looked at the pink earth pony, and Pinkie galoped away. Surprise took off her cape and ran after her. But using her ability to pop out of nowhere, the pink mare was already at Sugar Cube Corner.
"If Surprise comes in I'm not here." She said to the Cakes, Running to her room. A picture on the wall in Pinkie's room showed her and Surprise. The mares were smiling. Pinkie was staring at the photo when a pony walked in. Pinkie Pie grabbed her tin can and held it to her ear.
"No, Surprise, she's not home."
"I know she's here. Give up Pinkameana Diane Pie."
The pink mare carefully went down the steps to greet the unwanted guest. Surprise looked the same as when they last saw each other. The similar cutie marks were constantly pointed out. Same happy personalities. Same mane style. Yet the two had grown distant from the friendship they shared and avoided each other. Yet Surprise had reappeared in Pinkie's life.
"Hi" Pinkie Pie said cautiously. silence. The white Pegasus flew off.
"Well, that was awkward." Ms. Cake said.
"Hopefully nopony saw her as Surprise." Pinkie said.
"You mean you hope your secret never is revealed."
"Yeah...... if it does... no pony will see me the same way as before."

Rainbow Dash was chatting with Surprise in a cloud.
"I can clear the sky in ten seconds." Rainbow Dash stated.
"Six seconds." Surprise challenged Dash.
"Your on." And the two pegisi took off. Surprise and Dash almost finished in the same amount of time, but Surprise won.
"Wow Surprise, you're fast. Wanna go to Sugar Cube Corner for some food? My friend Pinkie Pie would instantly become friends with you." Rainbow smiled.
"Sorry, Dash. I'm busy this afternoon." Surprise said, using a practical excuse to not go see Pinkie. It worked, but Dash was disappointed.
"Well, fly with you later, Surprise." The rainbow colored mare flew off. Surprise sighed, grateful that she did not have to go see her frenemy.

Surprise walked to a field a basket in her mouth. As she picked yellow, white, and pink flowers, she came across Flutter Shy, who was picking flowers as well
"Oh! Umm hi...." the shy yellow Pegasus whispered.
"Hi! :)" Surprise replied.
"Ummm what are you picking?"
. "Buttercups, daisies, and pansies."
"Oh. Ummm what's your name? I'm Flutter Shy."
"My name is Surprise."
"Well, nice to meet you, Surprise!"
The two pegisi walked side by side chatting while picking flowers till Flutter Shy had to go home and feed her animals.
"Angel is a very picky eater. Plus I have tons of animals and have to feed them in a certain order."
"Ok. See you later Flutter Shy."

. Surprise was in her new apartment in Ponyville unpacking when she took out a cape. It was from her childhood. Pinkie Pie had a similar one. Surprise finished unpacking and went to The Carousel Boutique to have some tears in it fixed. Rarity was examining some fabric when Surprise walked in.
"Come in!" The white unicorn sang out. "Why, Hello! I don't believe we've met before. My name is Rarity. What's yours?"
"My name is Surprise and I would like this cape fixed, Ms. Rarity. It is from my youth and treasure it deeply."
"Of course, Darling! I'll make it look as good as new! Now, that will be 2 bits."
Surprise handed over the bits and soon the cloak was fixed.
"Thank you Ms. Rarity."
"Why, Surprise! You have the same mane style as my friend Pinkie Pie! You cutie marks are also the same, besides the color. You should go see her darling."
"Well, actually I need a book. I'm going to stop by the library I saw on the way here."
"Oh! My friend Twilight Sparkle lives there. She will surely assist you. Now. I must go get Sweetie Belle from school. I will see you later Surprise!" The fashionista and Surprise walked off, each going their separate ways. Rarity was mumbling something about a tacky tiara and diamonds. Surprise headed off to the library.

Surprise ran into Apple Jack on her way to the library.
"Well, Hoooooowwwwwddyy partner. I'm Apple Jack. Now, I've never seen y'all in town before, so y'all must be new. I'm Apple Jack. My family owns Sweet Apple Acres, and founded this town. Would y'all like to come by the farm later and try some of our apple cider later?"
"Sure!"
"See ya later then!" The Orange mare galloped off.

Surprise arrived at the library. Twilight was reshelveing the books when she noticed the white Pegasus.
"Oh! Hi. My name is Twilight Sparkle. I am Princess Celestia's personal student. I have lived her for quite some time now studying friendship."
"My name is Surprise. I need some help. I have a friend who used to be my best friend, but now we avoid each other. I want to be her friend again."
"Well, why are you no longer friends?"
"I'd rather not talk about it. But maybe she will tell you."
"What do you mean?"
"She is one of your close friends. But please. Can you help me? I've been avoiding her for the past ten years." A memory flooded back.

"Why woulnt it explode!?" A filly asked.
"Try harder, Lyra!" A colt encouraged the filly.
"Try blowing this up!" Pinkie Pie said, putting a quart of chocolate milk on the table. The foals rolled their eyes. Pinkie put up her emergency portable bomb shelter.
"You coming?" The foals shook their heads. Surprise went in the shelter with Pinkie. Lyra ignighted the milk and it blew up. Surprise and Pinkie hoof-bumped.
Surprise examined the cloak. Rarity had done a beautiful job fixing it. Three embroidered purple balloons formed the cutie mark on it. Her name was in Glow-in-the-dark thread. Yellow binding was sewn around the edges.

Twilight guessed that Surprise's friend was Pinkie, based on the personalities, cutie marks, and mane style of the two mares. She walked to Sugar Cube Corner and was pleased to see Pinkie.
"Pinkie, I need to talk to you. Can we go to your room?"
"Okie dokie lokie! But why?"
"I met a mare earlier and she said something about a party." Twilight didn't like to lie, by she felt it was the only way to get her to talk about Surprise. The two went to Pinkie Pie's room.
"You arnt here to talk about a party, are you Twilight."
"Tell me about Surprise."
Pinkie went to her closet and pulled out a pink cape. Her cutie mark was embroidered on it and her name was glow-in-the-dark.
"It started when a new filly joined our class. Her hair was straight, but her cutie mark was 3 purple balloons. She didn't smile till Lyra Heartstrings was dared by Time Turnner to blow up an apple. Lyra was struggling so I told her to blow up some chocolate milk. I put up my portable bomb shelter and asked if they were coming. They shook their heads but Surprise went in the shelter. Soon Lyra activated the milk. Surprise's hair curled and we were best friends since. We formed The Pyro-Pony Club and got her older sister to join. Soon we would blow stuff up for fun. We had licensees and areas where we could use explosives. We had been that way for 5 years when one day I sat waiting for Surprise at the clubhouse. She came eventually but her mane had straightened saying she was moving to Cloudsdale. I yelled at her for not telling me sooner. She said the decision was finalized today and she didn't know till that day. I asked if we could have a final pyro fest before she left. When she said that they were moving the next day, I freaked out. I was screaming that she had betrayed me and I had lost my closest friend. My mane and tail went straight, and my eyes narrowed, like the time no pony came to Gummy's after birthday party. Surprise started crying and ran off. I screamed I never want to see her again. The next day I watched the moving van drive away, and regreted everything. We avoided each other as since." Pinkie Pie was crying softly when she finished. Twilight realized that the regrets of years came pooring out. Reuniting the mares back into friendship would be a challenge, but it was one she was willing to undertake.

Surprise held a basket in her mouth. She was looking for some French bread. When she saw nopony sold it but Sugar Cube Corner, she decided to go there. With dread but cautious optimism she walked in to here Pinkie and Twilight talking.
"Hello?" She asked, wondering why no pony was up front. Suddenly Twilight and Pinkie Pie came downstairs. Pinkie's mane and tail had straightened, and Surprise could sense the anger towards her.
"Hi Pinkie Pie, Twilight."
Pinkie just grunted, and Twilight shook her head.
"I'm sorry Pinkie. I didn't know till that day. Honest!"
"Yeah right. Why did you even come to Ponyville in the first place?" Pinkie said sourly.
"To talk to you. My parents made a decision that changed my life without giveing me any say. Plus........ they got divorced and my dad won custody over me and Firecracker, but my mom got our house so we bought a house in Cloudsdale. How do you think I felt!? I was separated from almost everything I knew!" Surprise yelled.
"Well why did you not say anything then!?"
"I was going through mixed emotions! I wouldn't have left if I didn't have to!"
Twilight realized then that getting these two to be friends would be harder than she thought.
Twilight rushed into the library. She decided to ask Princess Celestia for help.
"Spiiiiiike! Oh! There you are." She said noticing her assistant." I need to send a letter to the princess."
"Oooooookkkkkk. Why?"
"I need to solve a problem involving Pinkie Pie and Surprise. They need help. So take a letter!"
Spike nodded and picked up a quill and piece of paper.
"Dear Princess Celestia, there has been a trouble involving Pinkie Pie and her foalhood friend, Surprise. I have taken the task of reuniting them back into friendship, and will need assistance. Surprise was trying to explain why she left Pinkie, but Pinkie freaked out to the point of Canterlot Voice shouting. Please help me make Pinkie and Surprise friends again. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. Ok Spike send the letter."
Spike did that, and soon they received a response.
"Dear Twilight, I will try to assist you with your goal. Try to find out WHY Pinkie Pie freaked out. I will expect updates on your progress. Princess Celestia."
"Ok. I'm going to see Pinkie. I'll see you later, Spike." With that, Twilight left the library.

Twilight was walking to Sugar Cube Corner, when she heard Pinkie's voice.
"YOU ABANDONED ME!!!!!!!"
"I HAD NO SAY! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!!!!!!" That voice Twilight identified as Surprise.
. "WELL YOU JUST SAID THAT YOU KNEW YOUR PARENTS WERE SPLITTING UP!"
"I DIDN'T TELL YOU BECAUSE I COULDN'T FACE IT! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO LEAVE THE MAJORITY OF YOUR LIFE BEHIND AND HAVE NO SAY ABOUT IT!" Surprise yelled as she flew off. Ponys stared at Pinkie Pie as she stormed to Sugar Cube Corner. Twilight wrote down all that happened so she could send it to Princess Celestia and trotted to Sugar Cube Corner.

"HI TWILIGHT! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW NOW!?!"
"Pinkie. Why do you freak out around Surprise?"
Pinkie was no longer yelling. "I want to forgive her Twilight. Honest! I just......... can't. My heart can't take it. It still is angry at her for leaving. Like I'm under a spell that woulnt let me forgive her."
"You might be under a spell, actually. If you grow a special friendship with somepony and they leave you, you any magic within you triggers a spell, make you incapable of forgiving them. Thus, you forever feel betrayed by them."
"Well, I'd better explain that to Surprise."
"No! You will only freak out again. All contact you make with her triggers the spell, and there is a point where you will resort to violence. I will tell her."
"Ok Twilight. I don't know if I can even go downstairs. My mind is in a jumble....." and Pinkie blacked out. Alarmed, Twilight pulled a book from her saddlebags. She had suspected that Pinkie was under that spell and took the book containing it just in case.
"'When the spell has released enough energy to be compatible with the mind of the bearer, the bearer blacks out as the spell takes over.' I have to get her to Canterlot immediately!" Twilight levetaited Pinkie to the library. "Spike! send these to Princess Celestia." She handed him a copy of the spell and her notes. "Then I will need 8 train tickets to Canterlot. But now I need to get the others." Twilight left the library and Spike sent the notes and spell information.

"Rarity!" Twilight screamed, bursting into the Carousel Boutique. She was relieved to find Surprise explaining what happened to the others.
"Twilight? Why are you here? I thought you were talking to Pinkameana Diane Pie." Surprise sarcastically emphasized Pinkie's full name.
"I was." Then Twilight explained what happened.
"Sh-sh-sh-she was under a spell?" Surprise questioned. Twilight only nodded.
"Now. We all need to get to Canterlot immediately. I don't know how to reverse the spell without hurting Pinkie so we are going to see Princess Celestia."

Surprise paced nervously around the train car as they approached Canterlot. her best friend was in danger. Flutter Shy was biteing her hooves. The others just looked like they were keeping cool so Surprise and Flutter Shy wouldn't freak out. Surprise kept on glancing at Pinkie Pie. If only she knew sooner...
Pinkie Pie groaned in pain. The sudden pain she experienced when she awoke was unbearable. She had no strength to move from her bed. Princess Luna was lowering the moon, so upon seeing Pinkie awake, she landed on the guest room's balcony.
"I see the cost of the cure has taken its toll." The princess of the night said quietly, before flying away. She went to the throne room and went to talk to Celestia. "The effect of the curse's reverse has started."
"The pain Pinkie Pie feels must be unbearable, but there was no other way to save her. The curse would take over her and she would only show negativity. Despite the cost, we had to."
"Sister, I am aware of the measures we had to take for her safety. But wee must inform Twilight, Surprise, Rarity, Apple Jack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash."
"yes Luna. But how will they take it..."
Somethings Take Time (Act 2)
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. As they arrived in Canterlot, Princess Celestia came to meet them. Twilight was levitating Pinkie all the way to the castle.
"How long has she been out?" Enquired the Princess, for she might have to use drastic measures to return the cursed pony to normal.
"2 hours tops." Twilight said. Flutter Shy and Surprise were the most scared and flew by Pinkie's side.
"There isn't much we can do without hurting Pinkie Pie, but we have to save her." The princess declared, a tone of sadness was in her voice. The Pony was very important to Equestria, being the Element of Laughter.
"If I had known sooner..." Surprise said.
"Its not your fault, Surprise-..." Pinkie Pie mumbled weakly.
"We need to get her to the Castle, NOW!" Yelled Princess Celestia. The ponys hurried to a prepared guest room in the castle. As Twilight set Pinkie Pie down, Flutter Shy hid in a corner biting her hooves, while Surprise flew in circles slightly above the floor. Rarity was clearly scared. Luna came in the room with a spell, and handed it to Celestia. The two alicorns read over the spell, whispering to each other.
"it's risky, and might hurt her, sister."
"But we have to."
"The risks are numbered, but if we don't..."
"Lets preform the spell already."
The two sister's horns glowed and a swirl of green appeared around Pinkie.
A white flash. Pinkie was set back down on the bed.

Two hours later
"She's waking up!" Surprise said gleefully.
"Owwwwww.........." Pinkie Pie moaned. All of her friends hugged her.
"I'm sorry PyroPink." Surprise said, using the nickname she gave to Pinkie when they were fillys.
"Surprise. I'm sorry I yelled at you. Is the spell cured?"
"Yes." Twilight said "but we couldn't do it without hurting you. You have a concussion and need to rest."
Pinkie nodded sleeply, and dozed off.
A Cure for the Cure's Curse
Pinkie's friends and the princesses were eating lunch when a tan Pegasus with magenta-red eyes and a mane and tail colors of shades of grey burst I'm the room.
"Princess," She said ,referring to Celestia, "I came as fast as I could."
Surprise and Rainbow Dash were freaking out.
"O MI GOSH O MI GOSH O MI GOSH O MI GOSH O MI GOSH O MI GOSH!!!!!!!!!!"
"Have you read the Daring Do books?" Luna asked.
Rainbow Dash went into the story of the first time she read one.

Daring giggled. "You tried to steal one of my books? I didn't know I was that popular."
"Tell them why you are here, Daring." Celestia said.
. "As you know, Pinkie Pie is in great pain from the spell. There is one way to stop the pain, and I need some help to retrieve it. This," she said pulling out a picture of a moon stone in the shape of a lotus blossom with a floating amethyst heart above it, "is the Stone of Grace. It blesses untold power to the first unicorn with a gift." She gestured toward Twilight. "If we can get there quickly we can get the power to Twilight."
The Pegasus looked around. The ponys were nervous, but we're willing to join the adventurer to save Pinkie Pie.
