Chapter 1 Mysteries in Equestria
Crescent was in a royal carriage wearing his colonial assassin outfit, he was on his way towards Ponyville to check up on the summer sun celebration. As he approached the small town, he wanted to visit his favorite ponies living there, he first wanted to visit his favorite book worm, Twilight Sparkle. As he landed he notified his night guards to relax in Ponyville, as it was going to be a few days. He walked down the streets as ponies bowed down, and treated him like a prince, oh wait he was, he married Luna. "Ponies please, drop the royal stuff, I like to be treated normally, not with royalty." Unfortunately for him, ponies kept bowing down to him like a god. He continued to walk down until he found the same massive library tree he loved, he knocked on the door, but there was no response. He slowly creaked open the door to find Twilight Sparkle running amok cleaning and straightening out her library.
"Um... Twilight?" Twilight Sparkle suddenly dropped all her boats as she bowed down to Crescent.
"Ahh, Crescent I'm so sorry I-"
"Jeez calm down Twilight, it's okay, so how is everything?"
"Well everything is great, the food is successful, the clouds are cleared, the birds are in tune, and the decorations are set."
"Excellent, I'm going to pay Applejack a visit, I haven't had non fancy food all day."
"Oh well then let me come with you, I'm starved."
"Alright." The two started to walk as more ponies started to bow down to him. "So, how is everypony?"
"Well Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow, and I got married."
"Well that I know, and congrats by the way. But what about Rarity and Pinkie?"
"Well they haven't found their special someponies yet, but rumor has it Rarity is having a crush on Big Macintosh." The human let out a small chuckle at the gossip. "As for Pinkie.... I don't know if Faust created anypony for her."
"Yea, I bet." The two reached the apple farm, Crescent looked around to find Applejack bucking apple trees as he saw another stallion using a whip to slice apples in half. Crescent approached the orange mare as she stopped bucking trees in surprise and approached the human. "Hey Applejack, how you doin?"
"Well bust mah buckets, what brings you here Crescent?"
"Well I had the craving for country food, got any samples before the festival?"
"Wah Shua." Applejack let the two towards the barn, she opened it to find a massive supply of apple baked goodies laying on a massive picnic table, Crescent gave a greedy smirk as he eyeballed all of the food. "Go ahead, knock yerself out."
"Thank you Applejack, but I want to save up and eat less, helps me in my parkour and helps me attract Luna." Crescent said as snickered and approached the feast.
"Speaking of which, why isn't Luna with you?" Twilight interjected as Crescent brought an apple fritter to his face.
"She's stayed behind in Canterlot to take care of some business, she had to talk with her night guards, she's thinking of making night guards fly around Equestria looking for trouble." Crescent said as he took a bite out of the fritter.
"I can see that. We have had some events actions in Ponyville."
"Strange evenths? Whath thu you mean?" Asked Crescent with a mouth full of apple pastry.
"Well we've had several attacks on ponies, the thugs were all dressed in black, but luckily thanks to umm..." Twilight scratched he head. "our little heroes, they disappear, but we still get more strange assaults in Ponyville."
"Hmm, maybe I can solve that problem later. But for now I'm kinda hungry." Crescent said as he picked up a piece of brown betty.
"Agreed, Whip can ya get over here?" Applejack called as the whip wielding stallion walked towards the three. "Whip this is Crescent, he's a human as well as Luna's husband. Crescent this is Whiplash, mah husband."
The stallion stuck out his hoof as Crescent collided his hand and shook it in trust. "Its mighty fine to you Crescent."
"It's good to meet you to Whip."
"Ahright, now let's eat." Applejack stated as everypony started to feast upon the massive hoard of apple baked goods. They ate until their hearts content except for Crescent who balanced his diet and ate less. As they were eating they told stories and chatted for the joy of entertainment.
"Seriously that many Pinkies?" Questioned Crescent with a smug grin across his face.
"Yep, it took all of us just to round em up." said Applejack
"I'm just glad to have our Pinkie." said Twilight.
Crescent looked at his watch as the time was 3 o'clock. "Woh, it's 3 already? Dang time sure flies, I guess I should check on Fluttershy for the birds." Crescent got up and waved goodbye to his pony friends. "Arrivederci" The three ponies waved goodbye as Crescent made his way towards Fluttershy's cottage, he flipped on his hood adjusted his hat so that nopony could see him, he ran straight towards a building as he climbed up to the rooftop. He continued to travel through Ponyville as he jumped from building to building until he reached the end of Ponyville. He jumped off the last building and landed in a bale of hay, he quickly got out and wiped off whatever food supply that stuck to him as he walked along the path towards Ponyville Park. As he reached the park, he could hear an angelic voice full of joy and peace, he followed to voice to find Fluttershy conducting the birds. He walked closer to the pegasus and sat on the soft grass listening to the angelic music. As he finished he clapped his hands making the butter pegasus jump in surprise as she landed in a bush, Crescent offered a hand as he picked her up to her hooves. "Sorry Fluttershy, but that was just...brilliant!"
"Oh thank you your majesty." Crescent face palmed himself at the name.
"Please Fluttershy, I would very much like it if ponies just called me by my name and drop the royal shenanigans."
"Oh...um...sorry." Fluttershy said as she lowered her head in apology.
"It's aight, you didn't know." The pegasus lifted her head in a light filled expression. "Now, I just came here to check upon the music and might I say that was brilliant, I must say, you have a talent for music."
"Oh thank you Crescent, it's no big deal I just-" Fluttershy was interrupted as she saw a hooded navy blue stallion approach the two. "Oh hello Nighty, what brings you here?"
"I was actually looking for Prince Crescent," Crescent rolled his eyes at the name. "I needed to discuss him with a certain matter. Honey, can I please talk to him alone?"
"Oh course, c'mon birdies we have lot's of training to do." Her voice echoed as she trotted of with her birds.
The navy blue stallion walked towards the human as they both exchanged hooves and hands and shook. "Now Crescent, I hate to inform you but we have a slight problem in the mist of darkness." Crescent raised an eyebrow in interest, what does this stallion know? "I think you were already told by Twilight Sparkle about the ponies dressed in black."
"So you followed me."
"Correct, she told you that they disappeared, but she never told you where to. My friends and I have been hoarding them and tried to get information out of them, so far there is no luck. We hope that you could help us tie the knot and get information out of them."
"Have these ponies committed any crimes?"
"Yes, they have attacked, murdered, and beaten many innocent ponies. They even attacked me when I went on a date with Fluttershy, of course with my own defenses I had to kill them."
"Hmm, I would've done the same thing, tell me. How did you kill them."
"With this." Night Shade said as he brought up his hoof with a vambrace on it, he suddenly popped out a blade from his hoof, Crescent's eyes widened as he had the exact same weapon he was wielding. "I assume you have this one too, but you are not from this world."
"Y-Yes, how is this possible, how do you have a hidden blade from Equestria?" asked Crescent in surprise.
"It puzzles me as well, hidden blades were formed everywhere around Equestria, there was, I say a secret organization dedicated to justice, death and freedom, but now my friends and myself are the only 3 left."
"T-The Assassins?"
"No. We are called the Shadow Meres. A name is given from ourselfs, a name that is suppose to hind our real name, a code name if you will, for example my shadow name is Silent Shadow. But where does your hidden blade come from Crescent?"
"Mine comes from a video game in my world, I built the blade myself. The game was called Assassin's Creed, where they use this weapons to silently kill their enemies known as the Templars. They want nothing but control, which sounds like these ponies dressed in black."
"Strange, does your blade fold down?"
"Yes, in the game there are many different hidden blades, from the classic, the butterfly, and the dagger."
"What about a hookblade?"
"As well as that, but many people in my world had tried to make it but failed, in the game it was only fiction that these hooks could hold the weight of an average human."
"I see, but back to the chase. Please follow me and I will show you these ponies in black."
"Certainly, I will tell Celestia and Luna later about this problem." The two walked away further from Ponyville as they reached a forest. "Tell me you know how to climb." The human nodded as Night Shade led Crescent through a thick black forest. "I hope you can see in the dark, because I can't"
"I can."
"What? That's impossible, no magic can do that."
"It is, the elements of harmony cast a healing spell combined with the princesses' magic on me, the side effect gave me what I call eagle vision allowing me to see the world a new way. I can find what I want as well as tell me what I want to see. For example-" Crescent's eyes turned red as Night Shade flinched in shock. "I can see a special golden glow around you, meaning you are someone I can trust, or not, you are a special target, there are multiple glows for anybody I see. Green is someone I can completely trust with my life like my wife, Blue is not important, and red is equal to the enemy, as in my target."
"Very interesting, can you find your way through this thick darkness?"
"I can, this way, there are some foot prints here, 2 different kinds I can see, hoofprints and large footprints." Crescent led Night Shade as they followed the trail of footprints, at the end of the trail they found a small cave with with a single cackling torch. Night Shade approached the cave and knocked on the rock in a certain rhythm.
CloClop Clop Clop
Suddenly two creatures popped out of the cave both in hoods, one was like a hybrid of an insect and a pony, while the other was a tall dragon in a hood. "Hey I remember this guy, I used my rope dart on him, as well as my tranquilizer. I can't believe he escaped both." The insect pony exclaimed
"Hold up, that was you, that was highly rude."
"Well sorry, it's just that humans were separated from Equestria long ago, so I had to make sure you weren't... evil."
"Point taken, and you are?"
The insect pony came first. "My name is Camouflage, but some folks call me Camo. And since we've never met, I'm a changeling, I can shape shift into anyone."
The dragon then stepped forward and took off his hood. "My name is Scales, but my other name is The Night Stalker."
"I see, I see, these names are familiar, they are in the game of Assassin's Creed."
"Interesting." Night Shade said. "It puzzles me how we had this technology and names before your arrival."
"Me too, now you need me to interrogate these ponies?"
"We were hoping you could help, we have only 4 prisoners."
"Were there any more?"
"Yes, we bargained to let them go for info but they escaped."
"Alright take me to them." The tree Shadows brought Crescent to the four pony prisoners tied up in chairs, he took a chair and sat down in front of them. "Who are you working for." he asked the first stallion.
"Go buck yerse-" The stallion was interrupted as Crescent stabbed him in the neck killing him. The other ponies shivered in fear. as Crescent moved to the next pony.
"Who are you working for?" Crescent asked in a cold tone.
"I...I...I won't tell you." Crescent let out a sigh as he stabbed the second stallion in the neck, the two other survivors began to quiver in fear. Crescent walked over to the third stallion who began to sweat in horror.
"Who are you working for?" Crescent asked in a dark tone.
"W-W- We are working for the Dark Wolves... please don't kill us!" The stallion confessed as Crescent brought out his blade, he struck it down towards the stallion who closed his eyes in fate, he then found himself free from the rope and alive. "Y-Your letting me go?" Crescent nodded as the stallion started to gallop like a filly. Crescent approached the final stallion as he began to cry.
"PLEASE I'LL TELL YOU EVERYTHING JUST DON'T KILL ME!" The stallion begged as Crescent retracted his blade.
"Okay, who are the Dark Wolves and where are they?"
"We are the Dark Wolves, we work in packs with an alpha, or sometimes alone known as omegas. We are a revolution militia who want to get rid of the old crown and in with the new. We want to control Equestria with taxes and create a whole new world. We mainly live in the badlands as packs of us visit one at a time stealing supplies, killing ponies, and taking control over the high crown."
"Okay, one more question. Who is your leader?"
"Q-Queen Chrysalis," Camo frowned at the name. "she organized the whole group as she wanted revenge against Celestia and Luna her changelings are her main army as we are her spies."
"Then she will die. Like a fool, like Charles Lee, she will die. Nobody threatens to kill my wife." He exclaimed as he cut the stallion free. "Leave now, and if I see you again, I will kill you."
"Faust bless you." The Dark Wolf said as he galloped off into the distance. The three creatures looks at him in shock and confusion. Crescent raised an eyebrow as the three simply stared at him.
"What?" Crescent asked in confusion.
"How could royalty like you simply kill them without hesitation?" Asked the dragon.
"Trust me, these ponies act like people I know back on Earth."
"And why did you kill them."
"Because nopony will make my Luna shed a tear."
"What is this kind of torture you used for interrogation?"
"It's whats called fear, they fear of dying so might as well get rid of the trash, so to speak. Now I must attend to the festival preparations, try capturing more and more Dark Wolves, show them the dead bodies if they resist, and gain more info, notify me after the festival so that we don't create any public conflict." The human explained as the three nodded in agreement as the human turned to leave. "Also make sure to let them go if they spill any info, they will likely become scared of dying and become filled with fear, it's just a hunch but you could try, if they say nothing. Kill them." Crescent said in a cold tone as he made his way towards Ponyville. As he reached the small town he made his way towards town hall to check up upon the decorations, as he reached town hall he looked at the decorations which her as beautiful as Luna's night. He walked around to find Rarity as she continued to decorate, Crescent gazed upon the royal decorations as if Celestia was getting married, unfortunately she wasn't. "Hello Rarity."
Rarity dropped her current use of ribbon as she turned to smile at Crescent. "Why hello darling, it's so good to see you again."
"It's good to see you again as well Rarity, how's life?"
"Well you probably heard that some of my friends are married, but alas I haven't found my special somepony." Rarity said with a sheepish grin. "But to brighten things up, how are you darling?"
"I'm great thank you for asking, these decorations are wonderful Rarity."
"Thank you darling, I'm having a hard time to go with this purple ribbon."
"Try white, it goes with everything."
"Hmmm." Rarity applied the ribbon streamer and twisted both purple and white streamers to create a swirl of the two colors like frozen yogurt being poured into a cup. Rarity let out a over dramatic gasp as she looked at the beauty she had created. "This is wonder darling, I should try this on some of my dresses." She stated as she applied on the new streamer. "Thank you darling, now it's getting late, you should probably get some sleep before the sun rises."
"Okay, goodbye Rarity." Crescent made his way back towards Twilight's house, as he arrived at the hollowed out tree he opened it to find a familiar green tea colored stallion. "Oh hello T, is Twilight Sparkle home?"
"No your majesty, she is running a few errands. It's good to see you again Prince Crescent." Crescent face palmed at the royal name.
How many times do I have to explain this, I don't like to be treated with royalty, maybe I should fake my death. Crescent let out a heavy sigh at the statement. "It is good to see you to T, did you enjoy the crystal mint leaf seeds we gifted to you?"
"Yes very much, it has given me the opportunity with new kinds of chamomile tea, along with iced tea. I can give you a sample if you'd like." T offered as he walked into the kitchen as Crescent followed.
"Sure, I've been feeling parched for some iced tea."
"Iced tea coming right up." T said as he entered the kitchen, he pulled out several crystal mint leaves from the refrigerator, he levitated a knife and chopped the leaves until they were diced, he then picked up a few different leaves and diced them with the crystal leaves. He took out a small net and placed the minced leaves in the bag and tied up the bag to trap the leaves inside. He then pulled out a glass, filled it with ice and water and applied the tea bag into the ice water, the water then became sky blue as the ice cubes became white and sparkled like the stars. He brought the iced tea to Crescent as his tongue became lustful for a drink. "Here ya go Crescent, I figured you despised the royalty."
"You have no idea, it's kind of a pain in the ass." Crescent said as he picked up the glass and took a sip of his tea, his small hairs on his arms stuck up and froze as his tongue froze at the flavor and texture of the tea, after a long gulp he put down the glass as his body felt frozen stiff as he could barely move. "WOW That is some strong tea, best tea in all of Equestria if I do say so myself."
"Thank you, that really means a lot, especially from a human like you." The stallion accepted as Crescent gulped down the rest of the tea.
"I feel really chilly all of a sudden."
"Yes, this recipe create a chill effect that makes you feel like your in Antrotica, this creates a relaxing and soothing experience. It's almost my new favorite."
"I can see that, and I also see how you got that cutie mark of yours."
"Yea, tea is just the greatest."
"Yea better than coffee."
"Coffee?"
"Yes it's a-" Crescent was suddenly interrupted as the front door opened revealing a slightly taller dragon and a lavender unicorn mare levitating a few bags of groceries. "Well if it isn't my favorite book worm."
"Hello Crescent, how were the preparations?" asked the mare as she set down her bags and approached the human.
"All things were well...except one thing." The unicorn and her husband both raised an eyebrow at the problem. "Remember those unicorns in black you told me about?" The two ponies nodded in agreement. "Well me and Night Shade had some tied up, I took some information out of them and turns out they are called the Dark Wolves."
"W-Wait, you know about Night Shade's...sport?"
"Yes, he is very similar to what I am."
"But who are the Dark Wolves?" Asked T.
"They are a revolutionary group that want to kill my wife and Celestia, they want to take control and become what I would call a totalitarianism country. I will put a stop to it, by any means necessary, even if it means killing the royal guard. We must inform Celestia and Luna after the festival, the last thing we need as a Equestrian wide crises."
"Agreed, but where are they from, and who's their leader."
"Well they are from the Badlands, their leader is a changeling name Queen Chrysalis." Twilight's face turned twisted at the name. "I take it you are familiar with the name."
"Yes, she tried to take over Canterlot, she hypnotized my brother, and kidnapped Cadence." Twilight said as she gritted her teeth.
"I see, then she will die."
"W-What? Why do you want to kill her?!"
"Because I am an Assassin, and their enemies known as the Templars are acting just like the Dark Wolves, whoever's a Templar or acts like one...dies." He said as he took his finger and made a slit on his throat.
"A-Are you sure you want to kill her? We could try and-"
"No Twilight Sparkle, it's either her, or Celestia and Luna."
"O-Okay, but please think of a way to coop with the changelings, we don't want a natural enemy on our hooves."
"Well, if I kill her, then somebody else could take her place."
"But be careful Crescent, who knows what could happen."
"I will, now please tell me something." The lavender unicorn raised an eyebrow. "How does Night Shade had the same weapon as me?" He asked in cold tone. Twilight instantly flinched as she looked at the window, a shadowy figure outside with a hood nodded towards her as she sighed in relief.
"I see that you already know that Night Shade is a killer, how he has your weapon is unknown. I could look at the history of weapons for you."
"Thank you, I would love that." Crescent looked out the window to find Luna's beautiful moon out in the night sky, he let out a hearty yawn as he took off his hat. "I think I'll hit the bed early Twilight, do you know where I could sleep?"
"Oh yes, I already had a guest bed ready for you, Spike will show you. SPIKE! Can you come over here please?" A caravan of footsteps came from the stairs, he saw the purple dragon spike at about his height and with wings.
"Spike, it's been a while, might I say you've groan a lot."

"Heh thanks Crescent, I've learned how to control my growth, thanks to Twilight here, I age like a normal pony, just with much more years."
"Congratulations, can you fly with those?"
"Well kinda, they're still kinda small but I can gain some levitation if you know what I mean."
"Cool, cool. Now can I go to my room, I'm a little off the edge."
"Sure, follow me." The teenage dragon led Crescent to the guest room, he immediately threw his hat on the table as he slumped onto his bed. "Mind closing the door Spike, I'm dead."
The dragon let out a chuckle at his idle performance. "Sure, goodnight Crescent."
"Night" The human said as he drifted off to sleep. In his dreams he dreamed that he was in a vast desert, with the crescent shimmering in the night and the stars peeking through the sheet of black. He walked round the desert as he let the cool night air whistle through his hare, he stopped to find Luna standing in front of him with a smile, he knew she had the powers of dreams, he just didn't mind one sort bit. Hi Luna, up to dream traveling I see.
Yes, it's good to see you Crescent, tell me how goes Ponyville?
It is great, the food is prepared, along with the singing, birds, and God know's what Pinkie has in stored for us, I'm just surprised she didn't surprise me.
The dream mare let out a soft chuckle as she approached her husband. Yes, she is the unpredictable, but something tells me you are troubled, what is it?
There is a matter that hangs on your's and your sister's head, I will discuss this after the festival, meet me in Twilight's library after and we will discuss.
Okay, I will meet you soon. I can't wait. She said with a warming smile as she flew off into the distance.
Neither can I Luna, Neeiither can I. Crescent said to himself as he enjoyed the rest of his darkish dream.
The hours passed as Crescent woke up as the morning came but the sun wasn't up, it was almost time for the festival. He rose from the bed as he stretched his arms and legs as he made for the library room. As he arrived he found Twilight packing stuff up for the festival...........a lot of stuff. She packed a picnic basket, books, paper, pencils, and other essentials that seemed useless. Crescent made a sheepish grin as he saw the over packed mare. "Eh....Twilight?" The mare jumped in surprise as she dropped her bags, he looked over to find herself embarrassed from royalty. "Uh....do you really need all of that?"
"Well, for good measures."
Crescent slowly shoot his head as he had a smug grin on his face. "Twilight your going to break yourself if you carry that much, it's just Celestia coming to raise the sun, it's not that much big of a deal."
"But it's a HUGE deal, it's going to be in Ponyville, do you know how much that really means for us? I mean what if Celestia gives me a test, or a secret pop quiz or-"
"Twilight, when does Celestia ever give you a test or anything during a time of fun?"
Twilight opened her mouth to object but said nothing as she had nothing to protest. "I guess your right."
"Yea, wait....where is T?"
"Oh he is already at the festival selling drinks."
"Perfect, I'm already in the mood for more iced tea."
"Great let's go." The two set out for the festival, as they walked down the roads of Ponyville, several ponies walked along their way towards the festival. In the sky a rainbow trail zoomed past the two but created a U turn towards Crescent and Twilight as a cyan colored pegasus mare landed in front of them. "Hello Rainbow, ready for the festival."
"Yea! I was just on my way to meet up with Snow." Rainbow announced as she looked over to the familiar figure. "Hey it's Crescent, What's up?"
"Hey Rainbow, we were on our way towards the festival."
"Hey me too, c'mon let's go, I don't want to miss the cider." She said with a beaming smile on her face as she walked next to the two. As they arrived they found a numerous amount of ponies everywhere, they also found the two princesses standing in the middle of the crowd. Crescent walked up towards Luna who embraced him as her knight returned to her. Crescent gave a quick peck on Luna's cheek as she turned crimson and hid her face.
"Crescent please! Not in the public." Luna squealed
"Heh sorry Luney." Crescent teased.
"CRESCENT PLEASE!" Luna barked as Crescent grinned sheepishly.
"Okay okay sorry Luna, so how was the complication between the night guards?"
"Captain Dark Ace is still thinking about it, I gave him many good points but he objected against my own decisions with good reasons. But the other ranks are discussing it, they will decide tonight."
"Excellent, this will do immensely, especially the little problem we are having." Crescent said as he made a blank expression on his face. "When the festival is over, please meet me with the Elements of Harmony in Twilight's library.
"Don't worry we will, now let us have fun. And since it's the two of us, the fun is now doubled." Luna exclaimed as she bit on Crescent's hand and dragged him to Faust's knows where.
The festival went on as everypony had the time to have joy for themselves, Luna and Crescent went into a spot away from the public to have...an activity, but came back to the festival eventually. Celestia had her hooves busy as she greeted by many ponies, the mane 6 enjoyed themselves as four of them enjoyed their husbands as two were lonely. Crescent left Luna alone to deal with the public as he walked around the festival, he looked around to find Rarity sitting on a bench with a gray stallion. He sneaked up behind the two as he hid in a nearby shrubbery, he stayed as he listened to the two.
"Darling are you always like this?" Asked Rarity who had a small shade of red on her cheeks
"..." The stallion stayed silent as he gave a small hum to himself.
"Are you from Equestria?"
The grey stallion slowly shook his head in disagreement.
"Can I at least get your name?"
"Mute." The stallion said as he took out a book from his saddlebag and started to read. His cutie mark was a volume speaker with an X at the end.
"D-Do you talk much darling?"
The stallion slowly shook his head, he continued to read his book as Rarity continued to blush deeper. What was with her? Thought Crescent as he scratched his chin.
"Well if your not from Equestria, then where are you from?"
The stallion closed his book and let out a small sigh. "I am from Neighsia, I am here to look at the customs of Equestria to see if we can make peace. My emperor sent me here, I am only staying for a week, Equestria is full of harmony but I don't like the noise." He said as he reopened his book and continued to read.
"Well darling that is wonderful, I do hope we can bring peace between out two countries."
The stallion let out a large sigh as he continued reading. "So do I, so do I." The stallion folded a crease at the corner of the page he was reading and placed back the book in his bag. "I'm sorry if I'm rude but may I ask your name."
"My name is Rarity, or Miss Rarity if you'd prefer."
"Thank you, now I must be off to find a quieter place to read."
"Well you could try the library, it's just around the corner."
The stallion bowed his head in grace as he started to trot off towards Rarity's suggested location. Rarity watched as the stallion trot away as she let out a soft sigh escaping her lungs.
"You like him don't you?" A strange voice said as Rarity jumped from her bench and threw a nearby rock at the bush. "Ow!" Rarity stopped after she picked up the next rock and look to find Crescent rise from the green grass pond with a small bruise on his forehead.
Rarity let out a large gasp as she started to imagine the horrors that would be sent down upon her. She had hit royalty in the face, literally. She walked up towards the human and bowed her head in immense apology as she started to tear up. Crescent knelt down and placed a finger on her chin and lifted it up staring at her in the face. He let out a small chortle as he continued to stare at the white unicorn. "Rarity you don't have to apologize for anything, It's my fault."
"But darling I hit you in the head, I-"
"Rarity what I did was wrong, I got curious into what you were doing and I eavesdropped on you, I should be the one who is sorry, it's like the old saying 'curiosity kills'. Can you forgive me?"
"But of course darling, and to show a token of apology I'll make you a new outfit." Crescent opened his mouth in protest but was interrupted. "Now before you object darling, I'll do it free of charge, it will be my honor, and I will make it's designs to your liking." Crescent closed his mouth in surprise as he nodded in agreement.
"Uh...sure." Crescent started to rub his head as he winced in pain. "But Rarity, you still haven't answered my question. Do you like Mute?" The cloud white unicorn started to blush at the theory.
"Y-Yes, I find him slightly attractive, even if he is silent as a snake."
"Well I think your already on his good side."
"What do you mean?"
"He asked for your name, someone important doesn't normally do that. Sounds like he cared for you, plus you gave him a quite place to read."
"True darling, but I just don't know what to do, I give the best dating advice to my friends but I could never date myself."
"Well why can't you follow your own advice?"
"Truth be told darling, it's not my own advice. The advice I use to share is from magazines I order from Canterlot. I use them to share to my friends whenever they feel needed, but I sometimes think twice about the advice and tips I read about. Sometimes I feel so shy, I am as shy as Fluttershy when she first met Night Shade."
"Well, if you don't know what to do during a date or anything, just be yourself. It mostly works in my world, don't even try to change your persona, be honest and kind and you'll probably win over your stallion."
Rarity slightly paused her mind as she thought about Crescents advice, he stared at the human with eyes of graze as she bowed down in thanks. "Thank you Crescent, I will use this for the best."
"Your welcome, now I must be off to some...business. I will see you later." Crescent said as walked down the roads of Ponyville, he ran towards a nearby building as he ran up it's wall and grasped on a loos brick. He climb up the wall finding any opportunity to continue climbing upward. As he reached the top he freeran through the rooftops of Ponyville until he paused his movements. He listen to the wind as it rustled in his ear, but nearby he could hear small hoof steps coming from behind, he quickly turned around and pulled out his sword and hidden blade, he looked to find Night Shade in a hood holding a hoof up in peace. Crescent nodded at the shadow mere as he retracted his blades and walked towards the stallion. "Night Shade, what news do you bring to me?"
"We figured out that an attack will be launched upon Ponyville tomorrow afternoon," Night Shade shared as Crescent gave a heavy sigh. "we must tell the princesses now."
"We will, but we still cannot inform the public, we can't risk making these ponies part of the revolution. Night Shade, I need you to bring one of the prisoners to the library tonight, make sure he has the information we speak of and if possible evidence, like a letter or anything."
"Right." Night Shade said as he freeran off into the distance of Fluttershy's cottage. Crescent free ran towards the main square of town as he needed to talk to somepony. He arrived soon as everypony started to look at him and bowed down to him, he ignored their worships as he walked heavily with his hands scrunched towards the middle of the crowd. He found Celestia and Luna waving at their beloved subjects as Crescent approached them swiftly, he quickly whispered a few words into their ears and walked pass them and through the crowd. He walked down the streets of Ponyville as he was stopped as he spotted something in the corner of his eye, he turned to find a sensation better than cider, he found T's tea stand. He walked towards the stand with a beaming smile on his face, his tongue was a desert and his teeth were now sandstone, he was definitively parched. T looked at the human who gave him a nod, T reached under his counter and pulled out a few supplies as he took out a teabag and a plastic cup, he turned to the barrels behind him and filled up the cup with ice cold water and placed the teabag inside the cup of water completing Crescent's much needed drink.
"So, how much will this cost?" The assassin cosplayer asked
"2 bits."
Crescent nodded as he reached into his pouch, he pulled out two gold coins and he placed it on the counter top, the two exchanged items as Crescent gulped down his tea. He paused for a moment as the icicle effects started to tingle within Crescent's mind as his hairs stood like stalks and his teeth chattered like an engine. "Wow, you should really consider going Equestria wide."
"No, I don't want to be known, I just want a small business that pays well. Plus I like the small chats from my many customers."
"I see I see." Crescent threw the plastic cup into a local trash can, he scored as he jumped for glee. "Yes, three points" Crescent pulled out an extra bit from his pouch and placed it on T's counter. "Take it you've earned it." T pulled the bit until it fell under his counter and smiled at the human. "Now I must be off, we must discuss this matter about these criminals later at Twilight's house."
"Yes, I understand, unfortunately I won't be able to attend, I must hold down the fort at my cafe."
Crescent nodded as he walked towards the Library, he opened the door to find Spike laying face down on the floor. Crescent raised an eyebrow at the dead like dragon. "Uh... Spike are you okay?"
"IWavvh brribggn br bry"
"In english please Spike."
The teenage dragon rose his head and rolled his eyes until they were straight. "I said I was trying to fly."
"Oh okay." Crescent took to the couch and grabbed a nearby book. "Daring Do huh? Sounds like a spin off of Indiana Jones." He opened the book and began to read the pages of adventure and fiction. Hours had passed and a knocking came from the library door, Crescent made a crease on the corner of the page he was reading and set the book aside. He approached the door and opened it to find Twilight and her friends all at the door, he also found the white stallion known as Snow Day, as well as the Shadow Meres, Scales brought in a large brown bag, inside they heard screaming and struggles. "I see that most of you are here, come in and we shall wait for the princesses." The assassin fan said as the ponies started to walk inside, Twilight had a nervous look on her face while Night Shade gave a simple nod at Crescent, who nodded back. They all sat down in a circle as the princesses soon arrived with Shinning Armor and Princess Cadence, as they sat down Scales unwrapped the brown bag to reveal that they had a captured Black Wolf stallion member tied up. "Alright let's get to business."
"Who and what are they? This group?" Asked Celestia.
Crescent and the Shadow Meres explain who and what this revolutionary group is and wanted to achieve. Everypony's eyes widened as they couldn't imagine the horrors that this group could accomplish. "So now that is over with, this is what they would look like, any other forms are unknown but their insignia looks like this." Crescent said as he pointed towards the patch on the Dark Wolf's shoulder.
"We are facing a Equestrian wide crises, tomorrow night, Dark Wolves and changelings with march towards Ponyville to attack. We must act quickly and set up a battle field away from Ponyville."
"He is right." Followed Luna. "We can't risk loosing Ponyville, and we can't have the citizens of Ponyville be part of this battle. If we move the battle a few miles away, Ponyville probably won't witness the battle."
"Right, we must round up an army." suggested Celestia.
"Right, this will be one fight that we must win, for now we must warn the other kingdoms of this revolution." said Crescent with a stern tone.
"Agreed, Spike please come over here." Said Celestia as Spike walked down the stairs.
"Yes Princess?"
"Please take a letter." Spike pulled out a paper and quill and prepared to write. *Ahem* "This is Princess Celestia, Co-Ruler of Equestria, it has come to my information that a revolution has broken out against mine and my sister's name. We ask you to be cautious of this group known as the Dark Wolves, we would also ask of an alliance to come forth if we are in need of help." Spike wrote the words of the princess, he created several copies leading to several other countries, he blew fire on all the scrolls and bowed towards the assembly as he walked back upstairs.
"Now, about this army," Crescent paused as he turned to the Dark Wolf member. "About how many troops are we facing?" The revolutionist remained silent as Crescent flicked out his hidden blade and brought it close to the stallion's throat as he began to sweat in fear. "I'm not going to ask again, what info do you have about this attack?" Crescent asked in a cold tone as he slowly pressed the knife against the stallion's throat.
"We have about 150 troops. 100 Dark Wolves and 50 changelings. We are coming from the northern end of Ponyville, we attack tomorrow night"
"What about the ponies, what types?" asked Night Shade
"All earth ponies, we plan on having a magic free world."
"Like earth." Crescent silently mumbled. "What about the weapons?"
"Dark wolves use swords and spears, the changelings use their magic beams."
"Is that it? No attack pattern?" Asked Scales with a eyebrow raised
"The changelings shoot in rows, they fire when told upon by an officer. The Dark Wolves will charge like bulls, they attack and never fall back, it's either victory or death." The revolutionist began to shed a few tears. "Please I don't wanna die, I just wanted to be like other, I've told you what I know, please let me go."
Night Shade faced towards Crescent he nodded towards him, he brought out his hidden blade and cut the rope restraining the stallion. He bowed in grace and ripped off the insignia and threw it to the floor stomping on it to finish it off. He ran off and started to cry tears of joy as he cheered, happy that he was alive.
"So since we have that we must round up about 200 troops for good measures." Twilight recommended as everyone agreed on the situation.
Crescent began to fear upon this world, it was becoming like his world, war. It's never a good thing, he wanted to end it swiftly to keep his wife safe. He faced towards Celestia with a look of death on his face. He came closed and whispered a few words in her ear, her eyes widened at the recommendation and slowly nodded at the human. "I will, tomorrow morning I will transport it here."
"Thank you." He faced towards his friends as he let out a heavy sigh. "Now, we must set up the small army, along with a distracting for Ponyville."
"I will take upon the distraction." T volunteered as he raised a hoof.
"Alright, now everypony must stay in their homes, we must handle this." Crescent said as Luna's faced turned into fear.
"Crescent are you going to fight?"
"Yes." he said in a flat tone. "War has happened in my world, many wars, I won't allow one here."
Luna shed a tear at Crescent's reaction, she looked up upon her knight and smiled for his bravery. "Okay, but promise me you'll be okay."
"I promise." Crescent said. "Now, it's late, I will stay here in case anything else happens, Luna and Celestia go back towards Canterlot and order a small army towards Ponyville. Cadence and Shinning Armor, please inform your guards at the Crystal Empire, I fear that Dark Wolves are walking among your kingdom." Everypony nodded as the princesses, the Shadow Meres bowed as they took a leave and the only ones remaining in the library were the Elements of Harmony, along with Whiplash and Snow Day.
"I'm sorry." Crescent apologized as he dropped his head down.
"F-For what darling?" asked Rarity.
"I'm sorry that something from my world has corrupted the peace of this."
"I-Is it true? Has there been many wars against your world?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, wars that have been fought for thousands of years, The civil war, Vietnam war, world wars, Cold war, Crusades. Many wars and death throughout time in my world."
"It's okay, it ain't your fault." Said Applejack as she placed a hoof on Crescent's shoulder.
"Thank you, now get some rest everypony, and stay inside. Who knows what's going to happen." Crescent said as everypony started to trot on home, Crescent was then alone with Twilight he had started to sweat in fear. "Nervous?"
"Y-Yes, I have never witnessed a war before."
"Trust me, it's nerve racking as hell, I had to witness the a war when I was a teenager." Crescent let out a loud yawn as he stretched his arms. "Well it's about time we head for bed."
"Your right, please promise me you'll reconsider the killing of Chrysalis."
"Ill think about it." Said Crescent as he entered his room, he took off his outfit and slumped on the bed waiting for a threat more dangerous as a certain date in September. He closed his eyes as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

Chapter 2
Chapter 2 The Battle of Ponyville
The next morning had struck, Celestia's sun has risen, and the birds were silent, along with the wind, there was no noise. The perfect silence for the perfect plan. Crescent awoke as his Ipod rung 6 am in the morning, he shut off his alarm and quickly strapped on his colonial assassin outfit. He opened his door to find a lonely package with a ribbon tied to a bow, it was a rather large box, about the size of a chest. He took the box inside his room as he cut off the ribbon releasing the top, he opened it to find large amounts of foam and a note on top of the foam, he picked up the note and examined it.
Dear Crescent,
This is Princess Celestia, I have brought you what you have asked, I have given it to Rarity as she had informed me of a new outfit for you, we have tied our gifts together to make you one preparation before the battle. I would also like to inform you that we've made alliances with other countries except Neighsia who refuses to be part of the revolution. We are still trying to assemble a treaty between us, seeing as they aren't part of Equestria, they don't wish to part take in any conflict. I am sorry but I will not view the battle, do not worry about Luna she is safe at the castle. Shinning Armor will join you in the battle along with 100 unicorn guards and 100 pegasi guards. Good luck and please survive, for my sister's sake.

Crescent reached into the box as he pulled out two boxes, one small like a lock box, and the second the size of a sweater. Crescent opened the sweater sized box to find a jacket with slacks underneath, they hung down like drapes as the hood was sharp as a beak and the sleeves were long like robes. Crescent also found a pair of pants that look and felt like jeans, he placed the clothes aside on his bed and took the small metallic box. And took the combination lock, he turned the diode until he heard the

He opened the lock and slowly opened the box. Inside was a black colt M1911 with 3 clips of ammunition, along with a holster, he took off his colonial assassin outfit and put on the holster around his hip, he placed the pistol in the holster and applied on his new jacket, he then placed his sword belt on his waist and applied his hidden blade. He noticed that the jacket had a large hoodie with a somewhat beak like tip, he applied on his hood and looked at himself in the mirror.

He chuckled to himself at his new look as he walked out the room, he found Spike sleeping on the couch, he slowly tiptoed up the stairs and noticed that Twilight Sparkle was still asleep. Crescent gave a heavy sigh and he slowly made his way out of the library, he walked towards the outskirts of Ponyville as he reached miles away. He stayed put at the plains until he heard a few hoof steps behind him. He looked behind him to find the Shadow Meres, Whiplash, and Snow Day standing in front of him with looks of determination. Crescent became confused as the five joined him in a soon to be battle. "W-What are you all doing here? You should be at home." Exclaimed Crescent
"No, we want to help you." Said Whiplash
"We want to keep this country safe." Followed Snow Day
"And by any means necessary, not even you Crescent."
Crescent gave a large and defeated sigh as the creatures in front of him were determined to fight. "Are you sure, there's no telling if anyone's going to survive."
Snow Day stepped forward and began to summon ice to the air. he whole body began to freeze and turn into solid ice as he stood up on his two hoofs, the ice became large enough to balance he weight and legs for him to stand like a human. His arms began to freeze like armor and at the end of his hoofs, warglaives of ice began to form as he swung around his blades in determination. "I'm ready." he said
"Damn, didn't know you could do that." Crescent stated.
"Ditto" Everyone else said in unison.
"My people's magic is strong, though we could make our weapons, but with practice, I could make armor and a new body. My people's power can increase with new experiments, but for now this is all I know."
"It's good enough, we must fight." Crescent said as the group rested on the grass fields waiting for Shinning Armor and his soldiers to arrive. The gang chatted as things were quiet, "Too quiet." Crescent said as he stood up and looked around with his eagle vision. He found a large blur of red in the distance, he squinted his eyes to find a single banner of the Dark Wolves symbol on it. "What!? It's too early!" The gang stood up worried like a cat in a tree.
"What do you mean!?" Asked Night Shade with a worried expression.
"The Dark Wolves and changelings are here early, it's too early." Crescent explained, he turned to Night Stalker with a feared face. "Night Stalker, I need you to go to Ponyville and inform Twilight of this situation!" Night Stalker nodded and took off towards Ponyville with lightning speed.
"What do we do?" Asked Whiplash with his hoof on his whip.
"We'll have to hold off the army." The group of ponies (and changeling) all had shocked expressions on their faces. "look I know it's an insane idea, and yes you may think I'm crazy, but I'm willing to keep Equestria safe and free from this revolution. I don't care if your with me or not but god dammit we must protect Equestria at all costs." Crescent said as he stood closer to the marching army. "Even if it means if I die, I must keep my wife safe." Crescent said as he pulled out his sword and held it tight.
"Then I'll help." Snow Day said as he stepped forward with his ice warglaives frozen on his hooves.
"So will I" Whiplash said as he lashed his whip towards the approaching army.
"The Shadow Meres are at your service." Night Shade said as he and Camo both stepped forward with their hidden blades sticking out of their hoof. "But how are we going to face an entire battalion with just the five of us? Do we just give it our all?"
"That's what I'll do." Volunteered Camo as he flew a few inches closer to the nearby army. "Y'all ready guys?"
"I am" Said Snow Day as he swung around his warglaives.
"So am I." Followed Whiplash as he pulled out Slasher
"You have my word." Followed Night Shade as he popped out his hidden blade.
"Alright, on me." Crescent ordered
"So, you think we'll achieve victory?"
"I don't know, I just have a bad feeling for joining this revolution."
Another Dark Wolf with sky blue eyes entered the two's conversation. "Hey, what's up guys?"
"What's up? You should be in your row, your gonna get us killed."
"Oh you have no idea." The dark wolf snickered as blades popped out of both stallion's necks killing them. All of the warriors surrounded the traitor as a bright green light surrounded the dark wolf. He appeared as a hooded changeling with a massive grin on his face. "Alright boys, let's dance." The changeling announced as a snow white stallion charged through crowds of dark wolves with ice spikes on his armor as he stabbed every dark wolf blocking his path. A navy blue stallion and a tall white hooded figure battled every warrior that came charging at him, the white hooded figure fought with a mysterious object with the shape of an L.
"Cmon, we must hold them off until Shinning Armor gets here." Announced Crescent as the human pulled out his pistol, he approached a nearby dark wolf as he hacked his sword in his neck and pulled out his gun as he shot at a nearby changeling charging in front of him, he then pulled out his sword as he capped the stallion's head with the sword's handle. He then found a changeling and dark wolf stallion charge at him from both sides with spears on their hooves. Crescent quickly dodged the ambush as the two warriors stabbed each other as Crescent took his sword and hidden blade and crossed his arms stabbing both the two warriors, killing them. He turned to a dark wolf swing a spear at him, he blocked it with his sword, kicked his chest, stuck his hidden blade in his chest and hacked his sword into his neck. He pulled the two out ripping his neck in shreds.
As for Night Shade, he thrust his whole body and he landed on top of a changeling on the ground and brought his hidden blade from his left brace to his neck. He stood up and found a stallion about to stab him with his sword, he dodged behind the stallion and stuck his hidden blade in his back and pushed him to the ground. Another changeling thrust his sword in front of Night Shade who dodged and stuck his hidden blade in his chest, Night Shade then brought his hoof and punched the changeling's skull causing it to crack open. Another dark wolf slashed his sword at Night Shade, but was intercepted as he stopped the sword with his left brace and brought his hidden blade from his right brace and brought it to the stallion's chest, he then brought his left blade to the stallion's stomach and threw his body towards a group of dark wolves knocking them down like pins in an alleyway. Night Shade turned towards the road to find an armada of dark wolves. "Crescent we got-" Night Shade was interrupted as he felt a blunt object hit his head, he slammed against the ground as darkness came to his eyes.
Whiplash slashed his whip around in circles with his mouth causing no trooper to come near him. A dark wolf soldier charged towards him but was lashed at from Whiplash's whip causing him to black out. More and more soldiers charged towards Whip as he started to tire out from slashing his whip around, he paused for a moment as the soldiers around him started to march towards him with blades in hooves. He gave a smirk and placed a hoof on the dragon tooth on his whip handle, he turn the tooth like a diode as his whip sparked and became a tongue of fire. Soldiers around him began to freeze in fear as Whiplash turned to the troops around him with a grin across his face. "I call this the Dragon's Tongue." He announced as he swung his whip in a circle causing a massive blaze of fire burned the troops around him causing them to pass out in pains and burns. "Got my self some barbecue." Whiplash turned to find more and more soldiers charging towards them, he turned to Crescent and screamed to the top of his lungs. "Hey, we got a whole bunch of burns coming for us!" Whiplash barked as a sword handle clocked him in the back of his head knocking him out.
Camouflage soared the sky as he was tailed by multiple changeling soldiers, Camo threw knifes at the changelings behind them only to get a few hits. He continued to soar as a changeling with a scar crossing his eye intercepted him causing the two hurling into mid air space. The two separated as Camo frowned at the eye scared changeling. "So, after all this time you've made it to commander didn't you Scrape?" Camo said as a evil grin came from his face.
"Yes, I did you traitor." The changeling commander said as he gritted his teeth at the traitor.
"I told you she's no good."
"She was our beloved leader! You only left because you were different!" The commander hissed as he drew a sword from his waist. "I will kill you for betraying our beloved queen!"
"Try." The shadow mere taunted as Scrape launched towards Camo as he thrust his sword at Camo, he dodged the attack as he brought a hidden blade towards his armor. As Camo penetrated his armor, his blade snapped in two as Scrape began to chuckle.
"Ebony mixed with Stahlirium, strong enough to stop your tiny knife." The commander said as he brought a hoof upwards uppercutting the shadow mere causing him to fall to the floor. As he faced the dirt, two changeling soldiers carried his corpse by the arms as they brought him towards Scrape.
"Sir, what shall we do with him?"
"Hold him, until then only I will execute him in front of our queen." He said in a cold tone as the two soldiers carried off Camo into the distance.
The remaining two defenders Snow Day and Crescent were giving all their might as they tried to fend off any revolutionist from reaching Ponyville. "Crescent, I don't know how much I can take!" Barked Snow Day as he continued to barge through any revolutionist. A blaze of heat flew through Snow Day's armor as it melted into water causing Snow Day to collapse on the floor. He crawled to the nearest water source he could find, but was stopped as he was kicked in the face. Snow Day's eyes only saw black, and slipped into a sheet of white.
"Keep defending we must hold through!" Barked Crescent as he took his pistol and shot any soldier that came near him. He emptied two of his clips as he cocked in his last one, with it he killed 7 dark wolf soldier, with one last bullet, he didn't know who to shoot anymore. He placed his gun back in his holster and pulled out his hidden blade as his epee blade, he stuck his sword up a dark wolf soldier's chin and through his scalp, he pulled it out and turned to a changeling about to attack. Crescent jumped and slammed the blade of his sword onto the changelings shoulder as his body slammed against the rock hard earth. He then scooted to another dark wolf soldier and sliced his neck with his hidden blade, then with his sword, and then again with his hidden blade as he brought his knee and kneed the soldier's head. A nearby dark wolf soldier then thrust his sword at Crescent as the cold steel penetrated his left shoulder, Crescent screamed in pain as he dropped his epee blade.
Another dark wolf soldier then brought his blade down upon Crescent's neck, but was intercepted as Crescent blocked it with his sword and swiped it out of the soldier's grip, he then brought the blade down upon the soldier's neck, he slowly descended in pain as Crescent brought his knee up and snapped the soldier's head with his knee knocking him off his blade and onto the ground. Another Changeling threw a spear at Crescent's right shoulder, as the metal tip penetrated his shoulder Crescent hissed in pain as he dropped his sword and knelt down wincing in pain. A eye scarred changeling slowly walk towards the human as the army just watched him like an animal. "So, this is the famous Prince Crescent." The changeling said as he chuckled and picked up his sword. "My such a fine piece of work, to bad you'll die by your own weapon." The changeling said as he brought the sword up. Crescent closed his eyes as he had failed to protect Ponyville, he was ready to accept his fate. The changeling chuckled at the human's nobility as he accepted death. The changeling brought down the sword, it was over.

"What!? WHAT IS THIS!? HUMANS DON'T HAVE MAGIC!!!" The Changeling hissed as Crescent shot open his eyes to find a navy blue force field shield surrounding him. He heard the sounds of galloping and shouting as he found a massive armada of golden armored stallions rushing towards the battlefield. Multiple clashes of bloodshed and screams of victory drummed at Crescent's ears as a familiar navy blue alicorn landed in front of him.
"Crescent!" The alicorn screamed in horror to see the human battered and brutalized. The alicorn quickly galloped over to the battered human as she embrace him in relief and threw a shield spell over the two. "Crescent speak to me!" The alicorn pleaded as the human breathed heavily from his injuries and stress he was put under. Blood curdled down his chin from his mouth as his eyes slowly turned towards the dark blue alicorn.
"L-Luna," The human said in a weak tone, as multiple revolutionists pounded on the magic barrier is it started to crack. Multiple pegasi royal guards swooped down as they quickly stabbed all of the rebels trying to break the shield, all but one. The one who remained gave one lust charge as Luna's shield shattered, the revolutionist charged towards the princess with his hooves wrapped around his spear. "cover your ears." Crescent tipped as he reached for his gun and pulled it out towards the rebel, with the last of his strength he squeezed the trigger as a loud clash rang in Luna's ears. She hissed in pain as she held her ears tight for a moment, after the minor depth attack she looked behind her to find the rebel lying on his back with a circle wound on his forehead. The human chuckled to himself as he slowly placed the gun back in his holster. "Heh, head shot." Crescent finally said as he dropped his head and stopped breathing.
"Crescent? Crescent!? CRESCENT SPEAK TO ME!" Luna pleaded as tears of grief formed in her eyes as a white unicorn stallion with purple armor placed a hoof on her soldier.
"Princess we have to get you out of here!" The stallion commanded as Luna surrounded Crescent with a cocoon of levitation and carried off Crescent away from the battle.
Crescent awoke in a soft marshmallow like bed, he looked at his arms to find several bandages wrapped around his shoulders and a few machines and plugs tied to him. He still found himself in the custom outfit Rarity had crafted for him, but it was raggedy and cut, he gave a heavy sigh and looked around for something to do, he was all alone. He looked over to find several get well cards, that was nice, but not entertaining. He read the get well cards and set them all aside, he then noticed a small ribbon wrabbed box by his right leg, he reached over to grab the box. "What are these, shoes?" Crescent said to himself as he slowly untied the ribbon, he opened the top to find himself a new vambrace. It was dark blue dyed with Luna's cutie mark painted on it, he tied the brace onto his wrist and examined it closely. He found a note inside the box and read it.
Dear Crescent-
If you are reading this then you passed out during the battle for Ponyville, we have succeeded into driving back the rebels and lost minor soldiers thanks to you are your fighters. Do not worry, they are all safe, except for the changeling known as Camouflage, we believe he was abducted as a present for the changeling queen. We will work on a way to rescue him, but for the time being please get your rest. You were stabbed in both of your arm muscles and they need time to recover. Also we found your blade lying on the floor but your vambrace was damaged. I had a blacksmith create you a new brace and attach your blade mechanism to your brace, Luna insisted to design it herself so that you could remember her always. And your other weapons were also recovered from the battle field, as well as your strange device, please tell me what it is once your better.

Crescent folded up the letter as he set it aside, he looked at his new hidden blade as he flicked out the blade, it was polished as clean as if he just made a new one. He laid back on his bed and slowly drifted to sleep. Crescent was in the night plains, he felt an uneasy presence coming towards him. He sat up from the dark grass as he felt the silky moonlight bathe his body, he looked around with his red eyes but found them useless in his dream as he could only see normally. He felt wind curl up from behind him as he looked to find Luna with a teary relieved face, she galloped over to him and embraced him in joy, Crescent embraced back as his wife was happy he was alive, though she wasn't all too happy, she couldn't feel him. Luna broke the hug as she dropped her head shivering in tears, as Crescent placed a hand on her shoulder. "Shhh, Shhh, it's okay Luna, I'm still okay."
"I know, but your injured, and hurt."
"I know, but at least I'm alive aren't I?" He comforted as he sat down next to the navy blue alicorn and slowly brushed her sparkling blue mane with his hand. "I'll be up in no time."
"Yes, *sniff* I know."
"Good, now what happened after the battle?"
"Well, we took prisoner multiple soldiers, we need your interrogation though."
"Give it to Night Shade, I taught him how to." He said in a flat tone
"Also, why did you kill these ponies? This isn't like you Crescent."
Crescent relieved a large heavy sigh as he looked at his wife in her glazing blue eyes. "Because, I'm willing to do anything to protect my love, my wife, my princess. And no one will stand in my way to making you safe." Crescent committed as Luna gently laid her head on Crescent's shoulder as she let out a gently moan of joy.
"Thank you, I love you Crescent."
"And I love you too Luna, now you should get back to the night guard discussions."
"Yes, you are right. I will see you later."
Crescent shot open his eyes as he saw Twilight and her friends walk inside with worried expressions on her faces. He sat up on his bed as greeted the six ponies with a warm smile. "Hello girls, whats up?"
"WHATS UP!? YOU NEARLY DIED OUT THERE!!!" Exclaimed Twilight Sparkle as she broke down in front of the human.
"Twilight it's okay, I did it at my own cost. At least none of you girls were hurt, but your husbands were."
"Even Night Shade?" Asked Fluttershy as her eyes dammed and her lips quivered.
Crescent let out a heavy sigh as he looked at the butter pegasus' eyes. "Yes, I'm so sorry Fluttershy. But do not worry, from what I remember they were all knocked out, I was stabbed, twice." Crescent informed as Fluttershy broke down into tears of grief until she made a small puddle of depression and sadness.
"What about Whiplash?" Asked a concerned Applejack
"Like I said, knocked out, though I didn't expect him as a killer. Or to have a flaming whip?"
"Uh..." Applejack bit her lip as all of her friends (except Fluttershy) stared at her with confused looks. "yeaaaa.... that dragon tooth attached to his whip oh his becomes magical with fire. Sorry fer not telling y'all about that." Applejack confessed as she covered her face with her hat in embarrassment.
"It's okay AJ." said Rainbow Dash as she wrapped a hoof around Applejack's shoulder.
Crescent cleared his throat for preparation. "Alright, now back to the main subject. These Dark Wolves are a somewhat tough force, I would never expect this many forces would attack us, luckily they are inexperienced with weapons, except for the changeling who know how to put up a good fight." Crescent stated as Celestia walked in with a glass container. "Celestia, what are you doing here?"
"Well, I just wanted to comfort you with my favorite cake." She said as she took out plate with a slice of red velver cake with a white chocolate dressing and a strawberry on top surrounded by whipped cream. She set down the cake on Crecesnt's lap as she took out a fork and levitated it towards Crescent.
"Thank you." He graced as he took the fork and bit down a small piece of cake. It was soft and tender like fruit and sweet and blissful as the white clouds in the sea of skies. He set it down after one bite with a stern look on his face, the ponies around him, even the princess, all had worried looks on his face. "One word...........Heavenly!" He said in an angelic voice as he slumped back on his back with a relieved expression on his face.
Celestia and the other ponies giggled at Crescent's reaction as a knocking came from Crescent's door. "Come in" Crescent announced as Night Stalker walked in on the group. "Night Stalker, you are well."
"Yes, but we have bigger issues." He said as he pulled out a letter and a picture. "This was found in the commander's bag." He said as he read the note at the group of ponies. "Commander Scrape, after your victory of Ponyville, we will send a small amount of troops towards Canterlot, these troops will be spies and will set traps all over Canterlot to make our invasion easier. I will be there myself, the spies will kidnap Luna and I will disguise myself as her. Good luck. From Queen Chrysalis." Night Stalker announced as Crescent grind his teeth as he rose from the bed and ignored the pain coming from his arms.
"Crescent you need your rest, you just need to stay one day." Celestia pleaded as Crescent grunted and sat back down on his bed as he crossed his arms."Thank you, do not worry I will give her body guards so that they may protect her." Crescent gave a relieved sigh as if Luna had just patted him on the back.
"Thank you Celestia, but what of the prisoners?" asked Crescent
"I have given the authority of interrogation the shadow mere known as Night Stalker."
"Alright, but tell me why-" Crescent was interrupted as a doctor with a red bow tie came in with a clipboard.
"I'm so sorry but visiting hours are up, Crescent needs his rest." All of the ponies nodded as they left the room. Rainbow Dash pulled Fluttershy like a plow as she continued to weep for Night Shade's injury. As they all left, Crescent turned to the doctor who raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Now Crescent we need to just keep you in for the night, your muscles severed no permanent damage but may be a little sore, please try and relax them for a few hours after you leave and you can do whatever you want." The doctor stated and Crescent let out a discomforting sigh.
"Aight, thanks doc, but what's with the bow tie?"
"What? They're cool. Bow ties are cool."
Crescent scratched his chin at the doctor's statement. "That sounds vaguely familiar, but it's not important so is there like any books I can read?" Crescent asked as the doctor spotted a local nurse pushing a book cart, he levitated a book out from the cart and into Crescent's hands, he read over the title. "Daring Do and the Sapphire Statue? Sounds like an Indiana Jones spin off." Crescent stated as he open the book of fiction. The doctor nodded as he trotted away in the hallway.
"My queen."
"You may speak Dark Ace."
The rebel knelled in front of his queen. "I wanted to inform you that the attack on Ponyville has failed, should I call back our spies?"
"No, keep them their. They will distract the princesses as we launch an attack on Manehatten."
"Yes my liege, my Dark Wolves will assist you in any way, as long as we gain our freedom."
"You will, now leave." The leader nodded as you saluted at the queen and ran off in the cave hallways. "Soon Equestria will be mine, as well as Celestia's head. Nearby galloping came towards the changeling queen as she found her partner Dark Ace.
"I am sorry my queen, but we have brought you a gift."
"I am very interested in this gift you brought." She commanded in a lustful tone as two changelings walked in holding chains as they brought in an imprisoned changeling, battered, bloodied, and nearly dead. The queen soured her face at the sight of the changeling as he simply chuckled at his former queen.
"Nice to see you again..........mom." The traitorous changeling mocked as the queen stood up and lit her horn.
