Twilight Sparkle is dissatisfied with her life. Her research into magic, while living a quiet life with her lover, Starfall, are not providing her the answers she seeks...answers to questions about the meaning of life...the ultimate truth of why pony-kind exist on this world at all.

Deciding these answers must lie beyond her home, she abandons her old life, and everything and everypony within it, including Starfall, and sets out on a journey across the world in search of life's purpose and meaning. Her journey will take her from the frozen tundra of the Deep North, to the vast sands of Saddle Arabia, exposing her to all kinds of cultures and experiences.

But in the shadows, unknown to Twilight, immortal forces seek to manipulate her life, both for good and evil. Can Twilight resist the temptations and offers placed before her, and find the truth and ascension she seeks? Or do nothing but death and damnation lie in her future?

Heavily inspired by the two-part concept albums "Epica" and "The Black Halo" by the band 'Kamelot'. Totally alternate universe, and a very dark, twisted, depraved story. Not a clop fic, though there are some intimate scenes.
