Darkfire Universe: Arrival

"Ugggh... Where am I?" I open my eyes to find myself in a small room almost entirely made out of wood. I shakily get out of the tiny bed and look around the room. Everything is too small for me, and kind of girly as well. I look out the miniature window to see a quaint little town at night.

I see no citizens, but I do see a brown stallion chased by a grey mare. The mare seemed to have strange appendages, almost like wings. The stallion was wearing a tie. How odd..., I think to myself. Did I go back in time? Because those houses don't look like any I've ever seen in my time.

It is then that I notice a small bookshelf packed with books. "The owner of the building I am in right now will probably be up to greet me in the morning. Maybe I'll read a book until then," I say to myself. I peruse the collection and I find out something strange. I had failed to find any familiar titles! I look it over a second time, and then a third. Still no titles I knew! Most of the book seemed to be related to ponies or the mythical horse-like races of the Pegasus and the Unicorn.

Eventually, I find a book series to read, known as 'Daring Do'. I pull out the first three books, sit on the small bed, and begin to read. This is strange! Daring Do is basically a Pegasus version of Indiana Jones! By the dawn, I have finished the first two books and started on the third. Suddenly, there is a knock at the door.

"Hello? I thought I heard you up last night but *yawn* was too tired to come and check," a voice says from behind the door. I chuckle at the laziness of the owner of the voice.

"Yes, I'm awake. Also, your Daring Do books are amazing!" I call to the voice.

"Great! Oh, yeah. I brought you some food as well."

I close the third Daring Do book, put it to the side, and stand up and stretch. "Thanks!  Would you please bring it in?"

"Sure!" The door slowly opens and my heart skips a few beats. Standing in front of me is a purple Unicorn, using what I know to be magic to levitate a tray of food. Still, I remain calm. Talking Unicorns. Meh, I've seen weirder. In truth, it's not. I've fought zombies and once shrunk down to the size of an ant. I have definitely seen weirder things then talking Unicorns.

Said Unicorn smiles happily at me. "Hi! I'm Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia's faithful student! I found you lying on the ground, injured, outside, and I brought you into my library to recover."

I smile at Twilight's enthusiasm towards meeting new people. "Well, I'm Darkfire, leader of a group known as the Master Heroes, savior of Earth, and an amateur wizard to boot!" I summon my staff and hold it by my side. Twilight gives me a quizzical look. "I actually have a few questions for you. What are you, and what is Earth?"
