A few months after her coronation as a Princess, Twilight has returned to Ponyville and is back to her daily life. But, whilst on a morning flight excercise with Rainbow Dash, Twilight accidently uncovers an artifact that she feels is strangely important, although why she cannot tell. After a little tampering, though, Twilight and her friends suddenly find themselves embroiled in a conflict that may change the fate of Equestria as they know it, and maybe even change the way they look at their own history.
